Flash Player (13.0.0.82) non-debug image doesn't give security popup for secure access.

I have a RHEL platform in which tomcat is listening on 443 port.
Scope of Problem:
With the latest flash plugin, i am experiencing issue with Firefox on SSL port on Windows platform.
i.e.
Everythig works fine on non-SSL mode on Firefox, Chrome, IE on Windows 7.
Everythig works fine on SSL mode on Chrome, IE on Windows 7
Observations:
In the Flash debug image(13.0.0.82), Firefox started showing us a popup indicating untrusted certificate "This page requires a secure connection which includes server authentication. The Certificate Issuer for this site is untrusted or unknown. Do you wish to proceed ? "
If we click "yes", then the complete functionality works fine.
Any clues/pointers, why the above popup is not coming in non-debug Flash image?

Flash Player takes the philosophy that we don't ask end-users questions that they're not qualified to answer. The debugger will give you the prompt because it's intended for development environments. In the release player, we're just going to fail unless the certificate is valid.
For a production environment, you'll need to use a "real" SSL certificate, issued by a trusted CA. If you're on an Intranet environment, Verisign sells dirt-cheap intranet-only SSL certificates.

The latest version of flash player is installed and yet none of the programs that use it can find or access it. I am running Windows 7. Is there anything in the Registry that could be blocking flash player from being accessed or used?

The subject is the question. Files with flv extensions cannot be run or identified. Other software that uses flash player such as Rhapsody, can't find or use it either. It feels like a registry problem. Please do not waste time suggesting I uninstall and reinstall flash player as I have done than several times with no improvement or solution.

Flash Player is a plugin, and typically used by browsers (and sometimes other software.) Flash, by itself, won't open flv files. Instead you'd load those files into your web browser and it would load Flash to render them.
I don't know if Rhapsody uses the ActiveX or NPAPI versions of Flash Player. Which do you have installed? You can check this by going into the Programs and Features control panel and looking for the Adobe Flash Player entry(s). It'll say NPAPI, PPAPI, or ActiveX at the end.

Flash player does not work on Non Admin accounts

I have 2 citrix servers running Windows Server 2k3. Flash
installs and plays fine as the administrator, but once logged in as
a regular user. Flash does not work. I have set the security
permissions for the C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash folder so
that non admin users can modify and write to the folder. That did
not work, flash asks to install, but when you click ok, it becomes
a red X. Any ideas?

This issue is never encountered with a new install of
Windows. It is sometimes encountered with older images and it is
strictly an issue with the ActiveX installer not for plug-ins.

Flash player refusing to work no matter what I do. Been going on for months now. Help?

Windows 7 (64 bit)
Chrome (32 bit) (ver. 27.0.1453.116 m)
Flash 11.7.700.225
It seems like, no matter what I do, Flash player will not work. Keep in mind that I have already tried disabling/enabling both the plugin that comes with Chrome, along with the plugin that you can manually install from Adobe, and that alone doesn't solve my problem.
If I try to play videos on Youtube, I get one of four results:
1) "This video is currently unavailable," which can come up if I have one of the plugins enabled. I can sometimes solve this by disabling both plugins, but that only works about 25% of the time.
2) The Youtube player just shows black and nothing else. No audio/video and no indication that anything is playing. Like with #1, this can also come up if I have a plugin enabled, and can sometimes be solved like in #1. But again, this only works semi-occasionally.
3) I get the prompt to update my flash player. This can come up if I have both plugins disabled, and I have yet to find a solution for it (yes, I've already uninstalled flash with Adobe's official uninstaller, and reinstalled it to confirm I have the most recent version). If I enable any of the two plugins, I get an error message like in either #1 or #2.
4) The video plays fine. This only happens about 10% of the time, and is split half/half in terms of requiring the plugin on/off.
So far, I have done the following in order to solve my flash problem, to no avail:
-disabled/enabled both plugins (mentioned above)
-uinstalled/reinstalled Flash Player using Adobe's official programs (mentioned above)
-tried using Firefox
-tried using the HTML5 player as an alternative (never works)
-disabled/reenabled every plugin one by one
-disabled/reenabled all extensions, and even tried browsing in Incognito Mode
-tried making an exception for Flash in Windows Firewall
-scanned for and cleaned up any viruses/malware/adware/spyware

Thank you for confirming the drivers are up to date. I apologize for the confusion in terminology. We refer to the installer downloaded from get.adobe.com/flashplayer as the online installer because it is simply an installer shim, less than 2MB that then downloads and installs Flash Player silently. This requires users to be 'online' for the installation process to work. What we refer to as the offline installers are the full installers (roughly 15 - 18 MB) that you download and then install Flash Player, which does not require an internet connection as nothing is downloaded silently in the background during installation.
As I mentioned before, we have received these reports of the online installer displaying without text, however, we have not been able to reproduce, and therefore, the reason I asked you to try the offline installer, since we have not received these reports with the offline installer.

We had this same problem recently and the faultbucket link pointed me in the right direction however the registry entries were different for us.
Most of our computers were fine but some had problems with Flash Plugins and some with Activex and some both.
The best way to fix a computer or set of computers is to first uninstall all Flash and then note all remaining Flash entries in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products.
These entries can vary based on what versions got corrupted on your systems.
This ended up being the fix for us for both Flash Plugin and ActiveX version. We tested it and had great success as a .reg file and are now deploying it via GPO.
(We had 4 defunct registry entries for Flash plugin and 3 for Activex)

Firefox deleted my older version of Flash Player without my permission, consultation or notification. As a result, I can no longer edit images in Photobucket. I use Photobucket on a daily basis! I have Mac OS X 10.4.11 with a 1.07 GHz PowerPC G4 and 1.25 GB DDR SDRAM memory and I can't upload the newest version of Flash Player as a result. (Neither can I upload the newest version of Firefox for the same reason.) I also can't afford a new laptop in order to upgrade my software, Flash Player and Firefox, etc.. Please, please, please restore my older version of Flash Player! Also, in the future, please notify me BEFORE Firefox takes action that might go against my wishes! DON'T assume that Firefox knows better than I about that which I want! I've been violated in this and, as much as I love most of that which Firefox affords me, I don't want Firefox to control my personal activity. Adobe Flash player 10.x and Reader 9.x are registering as a security threat

I have Secunia PSI and I'm getting a message that the FP and Reader are unpatched security risks. When I try the "solution," I am directed to the Adobe install page. After completing what is directed, to reinstall the products, there has been no relief. Has anyone found security issues with these products, recently?

Capturing from non-controllable device doesn't give a signal in FCE

I have the same problem as in http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9458819 but I only have Final Cut Express. If I use the DV Pal setting, there is no problem, I can capture the video (from VHS connected with a Canopus ADVC-55), but it keeps stopping to look for timecodes (which it won't find, as it's a VHS player). During this searching, the video doesn't get captured, but the tape keeps playing (it's what VHS players do). I seems I have to capture using the DV Pal Converter setting, but when i do this, FCE doesn't get a signal, no preview, no nothing. What am I doing wrong?

The device is connected properly, like I said, with the other option it gets the signal,... but skips parts due to the Search for the Timecode (sounds like a Hollywood blockbuster doesn't it?).

Reader V9 with Debug Flash Player?

I understand that with Reader 9, the Flash player is now part of Reader itself. I would like to access some of the security logging features of the Flash player that are only available in debug versions. However, the Flash that I am working with is embedded in a PDF document. So, is there a version of Reader 9 available that comes bundeled with the debug version of the Flash player?

Browser slow-down with Linux Flash Player 9.0.21.78

With more than one Flash animation/app playing, Firefox and
all Gecko-based browsers (like Galeon) will grind to a halt.
CPU load doesn't rise, however. The rest of the system is
unaffected, only the browser seems to be running on a 16MHz 286...
If I switch to another tab, the page view will not update
(contents of the old tab stays in view) until I scroll the new page
down a bit. All clicks on links and other user actions seem to be
"swallowed" and delayed by varying amounts of time (couple of
seconds - half a minute).
When a non-Gecko browser (Konqueror) uses the same plugin, I
have not seen any of these problems.
This problem existed in 9.0.21.55, but has not been fixed in
9.0.21.78.
I had none of these issues with Flash Player 7.x.

I've finally found out what made the flash player crash; thus
allowing me to debug & profile my application.
It turns out that the player can't handle library class
override ... in other words the application must not redeclare one
of the library's class. So if you do not use classes hot fix to fix
issues in the library you use, and there will be no problem.
(What i mean is the if you have library "L" that declares
class "c" under path "p" and that you need to be using a fixed
version of class "c", you could copy the fixed class in your
project under the path "p" and tell the compiler to use your
version of the class, therefore allowing you to have fixed version
of the library before having it being released; it worked perfectly
with previous versions of the player, but not this one.)
