Please tell me why there is this problem?
tests;
Firefox 3 (Beta) - FlashPlayer 8.0 - GOOD
Firefox 3 (Beta) - FlashPlayer 9.0 - BAD
IE 7.0 - FlashPlayer 8.0 - BAD
IE 7.0 - FlashPlayer 9.0 - GOOD
The flame ball is very very heavy animation. many overlays
and such as the image was imported from Illustrator.
I think importing is not the problem I have checked both
programs were set to RGB mode. not sRGB.
I think there is issue perhaps with hardware acceleration in
the Flash Player?
latest version of Flash Player were used in both browsers:

  • Flash Player 10.2 Bug Resolved by ChessCube

    Flash 10.2 is a key part of the Adobe move towards a faster lightweight flash that leverages hardware acceleration. Early indications are that performance is massively enhanced. Flash is also on a critical path to get onto Android and other devices. This is something we at ChessCube are very excited about and support.
    Immediately after the release of Flash Player 10.2, ChessCube noticed that users’ Adobe plug-in was crashing. It was particularly bad for our Chrome browser customers as Chrome automatically updates users to the latest version of Flash under the hood.
    Further reading and the fix here:
    http://blog.chesscube.com/flash-player-10-2-bug-resolved-by-chesscube/

    Pat's analysis is absolutely correct: this is an issue for Flash developers (I doesn't look like the usage of Flex is relevant for the reproduction case), not for Flash Player users. As such, this post is definitely in the wrong place in a forum aimed at end-users trying to use the Flash Player.
    If you want to post this issue on the forums, please do so in one of the developer forums under http://forums.adobe.com/community/flash/ or http://forums.adobe.com/community/flex/.
    However, from the looks of it this is a genuine bug in the Flash Player so the absolute best place to report this issue is in the Adobe bugtracker: http://bugs.adobe.com/ In the mean time I concur that any ActionScript developer experiencing crash issues with switch statements should have a good look at the reproduction case and should be able to adapt his code to circumvent this Flash Player bug.
    PS I trashed most abuse reports for this thread for now, but please keep it cicvil.

  • Workaround for Flash Player 10 crash bug

    My company develops Flash based e-learning modules, we've
    been building modules based on our current codebase for a few years
    now without problem. In our most recent project we've run into a
    new bug where the Flash Player completely stalls the browser - this
    has happened to 8 out of 20 users in our trial - seems to be
    specific to WinXP / IE6 / FP10. It happens at different points
    within the module.
    So far we have been unable to reproduce this on any of the
    computers in our office - I've have tried IE6, FP10.0.12.36 and
    FP10.0.22.87. I've even tried testing with a debugging proxy and
    throttled the connection down to 56kb.
    Our code is using the Javascript Flash gateway, the original
    Macromedia code which communicates via GetUrl and LocalConnection.
    I have a hunch that the bug could be triggered during
    communications.
    Does anyone here know about any bugs in FP10 that could be
    triggering this - and more importantly does anyone know of any
    workarounds that I could use to solve the problem. Downgrading the
    Flash Player version at the client's site is unfortunately is not
    an option.
    Advice appreciated,
    Greg.

    We're using the Macromedia Flash Javascript Gateway - we've
    been using it for years without problem.
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=194&threadid=1429543&fo rumid=15
    Is there a new way to do two-way communication between flash
    and javascript?

  • Flash player 9 printJob() bug

    Projects that print using printJob in flash player 8 are
    printing blank pages in flash player 9.
    Heres a code example:
    var pj = new PrintJob();
    var success = pj.start();
    if (success) {
    trace("pj success!");
    pj.addPage ("print_certificate", {xMin : 0, xMax: 600, yMin:
    0, yMax: 850});
    pj.send();
    gotoAndStop("printedFrame");
    } else {
    gotoAndStop("printFail");
    delete pj;
    This code traces "pj success!" and prints a blank page if run
    in flash player 9. It traces and prints successfully in Flash
    player 8.
    Does anyone have a workaround or better code? Is this a bug
    or more of a code error that wasn't disasterous until now?
    Regards
    Jon

    What was causing my problem was this; Flash Player 9 has
    better support for masking in documents to be printed. Flash Player
    8 would print things that were hidden by a mask, FP 9 wont. So the
    code I sumbitted still works.

    Hi Ramsoni,
    Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
    Reseting your device may help in this case. Just follow the instructions below.
    Before reseting, remember to make a backup of your phone with Nokia Suite.
    Dial *#7780# to soft reset your device, this will return the phone to factory settings without removing any personal data. If this does not solve the issue, hard reset your phone.
    Dial *#7370# to hard reset your device.  Hard reset will remove all settings and personal data off the phone, so remember to backup your data first.
    When prompted for the security code, default code in both cases is 12345.
    Let us know if this helps,

  • How do I report a bug against Flash Player for Google Chrome?

    Flash Player for Google Chrome is currently developed jointly between Adobe and Google.  Because of this relationship, we would like to encourage users that are encountering issues with Chrome's Flash Player to report bugs directly to the Chromium database.  You can do this by filling out the following form:
    New Chromium bug report
    Please include the following details:
    Operating System
    Chrome version
    Flash Player version
    URL where problem was encountered
    Steps to reproduce
    Other browsers tested
    Crash ID if applicable (visit "about:flash" in Chrome to find the appropriate crash ID.)
    If you are running into a video or 3D related bug, please navigate to "about:gpu", save and attach this information to your bug report
    Once added, please create a new forum thread (or bug report at bugbase.adobe.com) with your Chromium bug URL/number so we can follow up internally.
    Please be aware that Chrome Windows now includes a new, more secure, plugin platform for Flash Player (PPAPI).  When troubleshooting your problem, we recommend testing against the older NPAPI version of Flash Player.  Steps detailing this process can be found here:  Enable system Flash Player in Google Chrome | Windows | Mac
    Finally, you might also consider testing your issue out against the Chrome beta and Canary (alpha) builds to see if the problem has been resolved.

    Hi Ellen,
    Hope you are doing good.
    The best option would be to raise a OSS incident in the component: CA-VE-VEV or CA-VE-CAD so that my colleagues can actually investigate this further and release a bug patch if needed.
    Thank you!
    Kind Regards,

    The latest Flash Player 14 builds are now available.  You can download Flash Player here: http://www.adobe.com/go/flashplayerbeta.
    New Features for Flash Player 14:
    PPAPI Content Debugger
    We're pleased to announce the immediate availability of the PPAPI Flash Player content debugger. For the first time, Flash developers will be able to debug their content using the PPAPI interface on Chromium based browsers. Please note that at this time, only the Chrome Canary build (M36 or higher) has support for the PPAPI debugger. To use this plugin in Google Chrome, please install the debugger using our stand alone installer available from labs.adobe.com and navigate to the chrome://plugins/ page. On the Chrome Plug-ins page, expand the plugin details and enable the debug version (noted in the Plug-in description) of the Shockwave Flash.
    When configuring remote debugging, please navigate to Flash content and select the "Debugger" menu item from the Flash Player context menu.
    Once set, these settings will take effect when the page is refreshed or the next time Flash content is loaded. For additional configuration options, please visit our Flash Player debug help page. Content displayed using SwfObject may encounter problems with the version number check. We are aware of this issue (see known issues below) and will address this in an upcoming build.
    Anisotropic Filtering
    This new texture sampling filter can enhance the image quality of textures on surfaces that are at oblique viewing angles. There are two ways to enable this feature:
    In AGAL, set one of the values – "anisotropic2x", "anisotropic4x", "anisotropic8x", or "anisotropic16x" to the filter option in the sampling instructions. Or call Context3D::setSamplerStateAt with the 3rd parameter "filter" being one of the values defined in Context3DTextureFilter - "ANISOTROPIC2X", "ANISOTROPIC4X", "ANISOTROPIC8X", or "ANISOTROPIC16X"
    New Stage3D "Standard" Profile
    Developers can now request this high level profile when creating Context3D. Three new features are available in this profile:
    Multiple render target allows to you to draw geometry to multiple outputs (up to 4) during one drawing
    Floating point texture allows you to create Texture, RectangleTexture and CubeTuxture with the RGBA16F folder.
    AGAL v2 contains these improvements:
    Increased register size
    Partial derivative instructions
    Fragment depth output
    Conditional forward jump
    Notable Fixes and Enhancements:
    Multiple stability fixes
    Known Issues
    PPAPI Debugger - Chrome incorrectly reports the installed location of the plugin in chrome:plugins
    PPAPI Debugger - ESPN does not correctly detect the Flash Debugger Plug-in (3755128)
    PPAPI Debugger - Some content using SWFObject is not loaded correctly (3755345)

  • Problems with Sound in Flash Player 10

    Hi
    would anyone have any idea why the sound in a flash movie
    would play in Flash Player 9 but not Flash Player 10?

    I am not sure of the sampling rate.. I was thinking that that
    could be the problem after I read this
    http://www.flashden.net/forums/thread/flash-player-10-audio-bug/7727?page=1
    but then I read this
    http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-862
    So the sampling bug has been fixed and I have the most up to
    date Flash Player (WIN 10,0,22,87)
    Do you still think the sampling rate could be the
    problem?

That could create a serious issue on the Internet for few weeks but at least that will be honorable end like a Samurai's Seppuku...
