Flash Player image size small

Playing a Flash presentation in Firefox, I noticed that
Control+"+" did not enlarge the images. Making the window larger
only increased the white space around the images. How does a viewer
make the pictures and text of a presentation larger?

Stage.scaleMode = "allowScale";
Put this in the first frame of the whole flash, the root and
check it. If you enter "noScale", it doesnt zoom. Hope its cleared
now.

Photoshop crashes when I try and save for web and devices. Making the image size smaller does not help.

I'm trying to make a lopping .gif from an animation that I made. It's 147 total frames. It's crashed about 6 times now every time I either try and Save for Web or even just save the document on my desktop so in case it crashes I can reopen PS and recover it. Saving flash player images

is it possible to save flash player images. when i put my
arrow to it the adobe flash player settings appear, when i right
click i am only able to select (rewind,forward,play, stop,
settings, zoom in and out,etc.).

Go to Project Properties >> Flex Compiler, and set
“Required Flash Player Version” to 10. That should

Background image size smaller but same quality?

Hi guys,
I just released www.cloudformz.com, It's an advanced formbuilder (Dutch) and the whole theme is that it's a cloud service.
So,how surprising, I use a cloud background (1920 x 1080). My question is, how can I get the filesize smaller, but the same quality.
I am aware of the quality slider when exporting for web, but that decreases the quality sow much that you see artifacts.

Internet users expecting to use "cloud" services would normally be fairly well connected to the Internet, no?
Your background image, http://www.cloudformz.com/img/bg.jpg, is only 64 kbytes. That's already almost inconsequentially small for an image that size... It's a fairly highly compressed JPEG with no color profile info or metadata in it. I don't think you're going to get it much smaller than that without seeing quality loss.
However, one thing to try, with a large graphic containing open spaces and pure, solid colors, would be to save as a PNG, which can be very efficient for such files. However, any noise or gradients in the image at all will cause a big increase in size.

Flash Player wrong size in HTML

I've been exporting flvs into my html and can't seem to get them the proper size.
I make sure to export them at 460 by 270 pix but everytime i publish and copy the html it appears as a small banner in Safari.
The weird thing is it works fine in Google Chrome...
Any answers would be appreciated, as its for my final project in my degree course.

Makking image size smaller

Hi I got a new camera and ive noticed that each photo is 20.3 MB and thats pretty big so i was wondering if there was a way collectively making images smaller. ( i know how to do that with photo shop but its annoying to do one pic at the time )

In iPhoto? No. If you make a change in iPhoto, the change is applied to a new file, so reducing the file size actually ends up taking more space not less.
Some thoughts: With a file size of 20MB I'm guessing that you're shooting in RAW. IF you don't wan that amount of info, then don't shoot RAW. Or shoot at a lower quality setting.
After that, you can resize the pics before importing them to iPhoto. I think Graphic Coverter has the ability to do this in Batches.

Flash Gallery --- Image size

First, does anyone know of a good free program to create a
flash gallery?
I am currently using SimpleViewer and I have a question about
the size of the photos. All the pictures are different sizes and
SimpleViewer allows me to set a maxium height and width.
(maxImageWidth)
For some reason, it stretches some photos and it doesn't keep
the size of the photos (I have it set at 480 for both height and
width). I am looking for gallery that will allow me to 'auto' set
the height and width so that the size of the photos won't be
stretched out and will appear as I have uploaded them.

you can adjust the movie size in the html, with varying levels of success based on how much you scale.
edit the swf associated .htm file with a text editor and look for this line: var so = new SWFObject("project_name.swf", "Captivate", "641", "516", "10", "#CCCCCC"); In this case the 641 and 516 are the pixel dimensions. you can also change it to a %
I've never done it with FMR so I won't attest to how well it'll work.

Flash video image problem with newest nVidia driver

I've got a very weird display error since the last update. Basically, whenever I play flash video and afterwards close the browser (chromium), any purely black surfaces will display the full flash player image. The effect is only visible in the "first" window of a xmonad tab, that means if I cycle the window positions it will be in a different window. The others are not affected. When I restart X, I can see the flash video image flashing up shortly on the black screen. Restarting X fixes the issue. I cannot take any screenshot of the problem because the error is NOT visible on the screenshot. Therefore I suspect that some frame buffer used for the flash player is not getting cleared properly after exiting the browser, but it's really little more than a wild guess.
As there are multiple components involved, I'm at a loss of where this might be coming from. I hope someone might be able to shed some light on this situation. Please post here if you have the same problem or have any idea why this happens!

if you asking about a bug reported on arch linux bugtracker, then you are doing it the wrong way.
flash and nvidia are closed source, we can't do anything. A better place is to submit bugs to nvidia and adobe.

On this topic : sound is garbled and sped up on Ustream videos in Chrome, IE, and Firefox. I tried to uninstall Version 17 and install the Beta but that didn't work. The uninstall left me with no flash for Firefox. I tried to download and install the recommended version that didn't work either.
Some people are saying they can eliminate the garble by reducing the resolution to 460? I don't know where and how to do this. There doesn't seem to be any way to manage the Flash Player resolution size window.
However, earlier I was able to view a clear stream with Ustream on a different computer-so I am afraid all this fussing has introduced a corruption onto my computer.
Any help would be appreciated: i.e how to remove any errors I introduced and start over clean.

Flash player bar can't scaling in hi-dpi PC.(13.3 inch 2560x1440)?

I am using a new NEC lavie laptop(13.3 inch) with a 2560 x 1440 display.
Though in general the high-DPI scaling works pretty well, Flash player bar does not scale with the rest of the website.
For example, when I watch a Youtube video, the text, objects, etc. scale appropriately, but the buttons for the flash player are very small.
I think it's not Adobe's problem,because in IE(10) ,Flash player works well.
Chrome,Opera has the same problem too.

Flash Player 11.04 doesn't work

After succesfully using prior isues of Flash Player for ages, the latest version (11.04 for Mac) doesn't work for me. The message "Blocked Plug-in" apppears wherever an Flash Player image should be.... even though the recently downloaded plug-in is in the plug-in folder.

API indicator about sound using by the Flash Player

Is it possible to add an API indicator which will inform about sound using by the Flash Player?
I mean situation from web browsers where you mostly has few tabs opened and don't know which one is playing the sound. It would be great if Flash Player instance could inform about playing sound. Some kind of API, dynamic HTML tag (playingsound=TRUE/FALSE) or something like this which can give an opportunity to browser to react on. The best example is ofcourse Chrome which has own implementation of Flash Player and adds small speaker icon on tab which is playing the sound.
The main reason of this thread is issue 486262 – Provide visual indicator as to which tab is causing sound from Mozilla Firefox Development but it can be global feature and helpfull for every browser and other applications using FP.

Too small window size in standalone flash player in FLEX

Hello,
I have unchecked the option "generate html wrapper file" so I
don't have to bother about closing the browser tab each time I make
a small change to the code and rerun the application.
This works fine as the standalone flash player closes when I
terminate the application from Flex. However, the standalone flash
player always starts in a fixed window size smaller than my
application size so that I cannot see the whole application. So I
have to enlarge the window size of the standalone flash player each
time which is annoying!
Is there a better solution?
Maybe get Flex to close the browser tab after I terminate the
application. I still prefer to use the standalone flash player
during development as my application doesn't depend on the browser
though.

Clearly Keynote has a major bug when exporting to Flash. The files become very large, about 10x larger then the combined size of the JPEG's inserted. Earlier today I discovered how to get around this issue, albeit a far from perfect solution. Simply open each picture used in Photoshop and use the "save for web" menu. Save each image as GIF, 128 colors and rebuild the Keynote presentation. Although a color rich picture saved as GIF versus a reasonable compressed JPEG is x 3 or x 4 times larger the end result when exporting the Keynote to Flash is substantially smaller. Apparently Keynote exports to Flash without adding size when GIF's are used. Apple, please fix this "JPEG export" bug!
