Flash player keeps freezing on live streams

Why does my flash player keep freezing when I play live videos. When I play live videos on youtube like concerts they always freeze after about 2 minutes and then I have to refresh my browser. The same thing happens when I try to use Tinychat and it gets frustrating that I have to keep resfreshing my browser. I have tried uninstalling flash and reinstalling it again but that doesn't help.

Now with Chrome! :
(It did stop buffering after 8minutes for whatever reason but it was more lag (my connection) as it showed spinning circles then started again, on firefox there are no spinning circles, it just stops and never goes further.)
But it did buffer it all?

  • Flash player keeps freezing videos and streams

I've been having issues since about wednsday or thursday last week. My flash player is simply not behaving as it used to, (it's been fine on this PC and Internet Connection since October, it's not my rig nor my connections fault) when I watch youtube videos they stop loading after a little while and I have to click stop download and then start it again, or hit f5, it wont continue loading, and it's not just a wait for it to buffer.
Then this friday, as I was going to watch MLG that I paid for, I noticed that streams were freezing aswell, same issue, they go cool and usual for a few seconds to a few minutes, and then they just stop loading the stream or video, making me restart the download through pause - play, f5, stop download then restart etc.
I've been fiddling with Flash player settings such as storage maximum (now set to unlimited), I've cleared my cache and cookies aswell. I spent in total 7 hours with MLG Tech support trying to figure out what was wrong to no avail. I've even used direct DNS Server connecting, so I am left with the thought that it's a Flash Player issue. On some youtube videos dont have this problem. (Only the ones not using Flash player!!!)
    My rig:
    Windows 7 64bit Home Premium
    8Gb dd3 RAM
    2x Nvidia GTX Geforce 560
    Intel i7 2600
    10mbps Connection
    120Gb SSD Hard Disk
    and 1 Tb HDD
    -Regards
Edit: Apparently another person has the same issue. http://forums.adobe.com/message/3859702

  • Why does my Flash Player keep freezing during video play back?

I have the very lastest version for Windows 7 64bit OS and it keeps freezing during video play back.  The previous versions did not do this. I have to keep the cursor moving inside the video window to prevent the player freezing.  I have deslected HARDWARE ACCELERATION and it does not help.  Why is this happening and how do I correct this situation?

Right click ANY Flash content and choose "Setings".
Click the folder icon (center tab) and increase the storage to at least 10Mb.

  • Flash player keeps freezing

    Hello
I have been through many troubleshooting steps listed in a
number of help pages on your site and other sites, and films and
    video cl
ips are not always playing on sites that use flash. I get one
or two seconds of film then it stops. A few minutes later another
    one
or two seconds play, then stops. After 15 minutes I've seen
    about ten seconds of film!
I've uninstalled and re-installed adobe flash, version 9.
I've disabled Norton worm protection (firewall) and windows xp
    firewall. I
've cleared all temp internet files and cookies. I've
restarted my pc. I've tried to watch the films using firefox 2 and
    internet ex
plorer 6, but still having the same problem. I am using
superfast 8MB broadband, so bandwidth being the problem can also be
    ruled ou
    t I guess!?
Various sites use adobe flash for their video clips, and i
have had problems watching clips on them, including youtube and
    atomfilms
. Having followed all the troubleshooting, cleared cache,
cleared cookies, re-installed flash, disabled firewall, tried
    different br
owsers, and compared to other sites which use mediaplayer or
realplayer (which work), what else can I do?
Is the problem my pc or is it the youtube and atomfilms sites
or servers that are at fault? Or are there any other settings that
    I s
hould be changing on my pc? Are there any specific changes I
can make to my firewall rather than disabling it completely? There
    is a
n option for exclusions in firewall, but I cannot see
macromedia or flash listed in the programs menu. I am desperate to
    find the an
swer and a solution. please help!

  • Brand new imac flash player keeps freezing in webchat sites

hello;-) to start, i did read some other posts on this subject however i wasnt sure if it would be the same for me as i am running a mac, and the responses i saw were for pc's. my problem is that my camera will freeze up in some sites that require a flash cam and in others it does not. the sites that it does freeze in, i used to be able to acces using my cam. i get to the point where the adobe box pops up askin if i will allow the site access to my cam, and from there im stuck!!! sometimes the whole page freezes, sometimes the background remains active but the adobe box is stuck, wont respond, wont acces the cam-and i have to reload the page anyways. once the adobe box pops up, if i right-click the mouse and go to settings, the adobe box has  options to "always allow or deny" whatever site i am on, lets say chatroullete, and it has already selected deny (though i never told it to) and since its frozen (despite the fact it let me view this new 'page') i still cant change it to allow. why is it workin in some sites and not others? and why has it stopped working in sites it previously worked in? why is the little adobe box frozen yet active in those sites, i can see dif pg's of the adobe box but not modify settings?i figure if it was completly frozen it wouldnt even let me view the settings pg of the adobe box... my imac is less than two months old, running osx , and i use firefox....any help would be appreciated as i worry the problem will just get worse untill i cant use my cam online!!!;-(((( booohooo!

Hi, here is the link for Global Settings. I'd read and apply any settings you want from there instead of individual websites.
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.htm l
Sometimes the websites themselves are having problems. If they have a FAQ section or system requirements, you may want to refer to them also.
    Thanks,

  • My adobe flash player keeps crashing. Why?

I use Mozilla Firefox exclusively as my browser. When I am connected to Facebook and playing their casino games, the Adobe Flash player keeps randomly crashing. When it crashes, it locks up the computer and I have to shut down and reopen the browser. Recently, an information box has been opening up in the upper left corner of the screen called the Adobe Flash Player action box or something like that. The context is filled with lots of computer jargon I don't understand. At the bottom of the box there are 2 options to pick from, either dismiss or continue. Most of the time the screen freezes up before I've had the chance to pick one. After I go to the Windows task manager and shut down the boxes that were open, I get the normal gray "Adobe Flash Player has crashed" screen. The really odd thing is that there is no prompt allowing me to send a crash report to Mozilla. I have uninstalled and completely reinstalled the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. Just in case these might be a problem, I have the following 3 "add-ons" loaded in to the browser: Quick Time Plug-in 7.7.6 7.7.6.0, Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.305, and Shockwave for Director 12.1.7.157. As well, in case they might be the problem, I have the following 2 programs installed into my computer are: Adobe Flash Player 16 NPAPI and Adobe Shockwave Player 12.1. FYI: I am running Windows 8.1 64 bit. Hopefully I have given you enough information to make an assessment. If you need anything from me, please let me know. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Crashes or other problems with certain multimedia content in Firefox (such as YouTube videos and Flash animations or games) can often be resolved by performing the steps in these Knowledge Base articles:

  • Adobe Flash Player keeps crashing in Google Chrome

I am using Google Chrome and every time I open the browser Adobe Flash Player keeps crashing.  I have Windows 7.  Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

    Hello,
Just chiming in to say that I am experiencing the same issues.
    using Win 7, Firefox 19.0, Flash 11.6.602.168
    Tried the DRM fix,
Tried uninstalling Firefox and Flash, restarting Win 7, reinstalling Firefox and Flash
Tried reinstalling display and my NVidia drivers.
Still getting "Sorry we were unable to stream this video" message.
    Also having problems on Chrome.
Some troubleshooting threads suggest to go to chrome://plugins and disable the chrome flash player.
When i disable the chrome flash player and try to play an amazon instant video, I get the "Sorry we were unable to stream this video" message.
When i disable the system flash player and try to play an amazon instant video, the video plays but 'stutters.'  The audio is fine, but the video alternately pauses and plays for a second or two over and over again.
AIV works just fine on my iPad.
For everyone viewing, please take 30 secs to create an account and let Adobe know that their product is causing problems for your Amazon service.
This needs to get fixed asap!
    Thanks
    V.

  • Work-around for flash player hangs/freezes during initialisation...

    Hello all,
Are you also facing the problem that the flash player hangs/freezes during execution of an xcelsius file? Try if the following work-around works also for you.
I am (was) facing the same problem: a swf file about 1474 kb with many components, generated with Xcelsius 5.3.2.0., trying to view with flash player 10.1.82.76. Did also hang/freezed! The file was originally build with version 5.3.0 and worked o.k. then...
The work-around which works for me is the following: I had all my components organized in groups. After ungrouping them all (which I think is a major drawback) and exporting it to swf, the report works! File size is more or less the same...
Maybe you can give this work-around a try for your own work....
So I think the SAP/Adobe bug has something to do with grouping of components or grouped components build in an earlier version of Xcelsius 2008... The following test that I will perform is ungrouping the components and then re-grouping them again in version 5.3.2.0....
    Greetings
    Erik-Jan Vriens

Thank you for sharing this. Had a similar problem before and did some tinkering around with the file and all of a sudden it worked again. Fair bet it was exactly that as well.
In general Xcelsius performance goes down the drain if you start using many components. It is to be expected, somewhat, I guess. Various bugs also pop up because components do not always seem to play nice.
One thing I have found as well is that if you are doing a waterfall approach of constructing with a bunch of iterations in the implementation phase, you may end up with a bunch of components that were there early on. Sometimes they start messing up over time, because you've been playing with the data below or with the chart itself. E.g. on line charts label start distorting, or the frames flicker. In radiobutton boxes the boxes are not aligned properly. Checkbox labels are clipped at the end until you hover over them etc..
Solution: remove the components, add anew. If not too many components with a tough spreadsheet below, export Excel, start a new.

My Adobe flash player keeps crashing regardless that all steps listed in help menu were applied several times.

Try to uninstall and reinstall Flash
See this about uninstalling Flash players:
