I know it's not officially supported, but it used to work until last version.
Now it just appears a grey box where should be the plugin.

A similar problem to the other posters, my Sony Xperia Z won't start after a failed update attempt. Following the support suggestions on the Sony website (http://www.sonymobile.com/sg/support/faq/w8-walkman-phone/update-software/software-update-failed-ps101/) failed. Solutions posted on this forum thread (http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z-ZL-ZR/My-Sony-Xperia-Z-won-t-start-turn-on-after-failed-update-attempt/m-p/401787#M20133) have also failed. When I plug the phone into the wall charger, the LED comes on red, the SONY logo appears on my screen, followed by a message indicating that "The Software update failed. Make sure that your phone is connected to the computer and try again.", and then the phone turns itself off. The cycle repeats itself with no indication that my phone's actually being charged. Since it is unable to charge, plugging the phone into my computer does not trigger the update process to start, so I can't "try again", as the message so helpfully suggests. The computer also does not recognise my phone as being connected despite following the PC Companion's instructions to 1) unplug the device, 2) remove and replace the battery (which I can't do, because the battery is built in), and 3) turn it back on (which, again, I can't do, because the phone won't charge in the first place), before 4) plugging it back into the computer. Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Restart your computer
While your computer is restarting, clear all of the applications from the background on your iPhone. You can do this by pushing the home button twice and swiping the programs off the screen by pushing them upwards.
After you are done doing that, restart your phone.
Wait about 10 seconds or so and turn your phone back on. By the time you get your phone back on your computer should be completly restarted and ready to go.
When your phone is back on, plug it into your computer. This should automatically bring up your Itunes, you may get another pop up that says autoplay, you can close that out. That's it. I hope it helps and good luck

Adobe flash plugin won't stay downgraded. I have use "Tools" and clicked on only upgrade after asking me, but it upgrades anyway. I can't keep it downgraded

Firefox keeps allowing the upgrade back to adobe flash 11.3.
I have deleted 11.3 and installed 11.2 several times, but after a day or two, the 11.3 is back.
I went to"tools" and clicked on "check for updates, but let me choose to install them", but it still upgrades to the 11.3

Your above posted system details shows two Flash plugins, so you will have to disable or remove one of them.

You can set the plugin.expose_full_path pref to true on the about:config page to see the full path of plugins on the about:plugins page.

I'm a developer I just bought a new laptop running Windows 7 Professional Service pack 1. I downloaded Firefox 11.0 and downloaded and installed the Adobe Flash plugin! I’ve tried just about everything to get the plugin working but Firefox tells me I have an old version and has turned it off for security reasons. I have included the Flash registry settings and the Flash install log. Dell install a version of flash but it looks like the ActiveX not the Plugin Dll. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and Flash many times it still won’t work. Firefox is no good to me without this plugin. Any help would be appreciated.

Flash plugin removed ... not Opera support available ... all Adobe products removed from PC

Finally I made a decision I removed all Adobe products from my PC. Also this page not work with Opera browser correctly I need to write ... for tube heh. I cannot change row ... Anyway Flash plugin not work with Opera ... it cannot install so that Opera browser could find it. It looks that it's installed correctly ... but browser not find it. I dont'n want to continue ... this begin already few months ago ... some YouTube videos needed to start twice before flash worked ... now all pages that need flash plugin not work at all ... funny. I don't like Adobe -- full of slow motion products ... I have better pdf reader than Adobe product ... I don't need Adobe ... I suppose someone will produce flash plugin that works with Opera too . Indesign cs 5.5 won't start on mavericks after migration

hi folks,
this problem leaves me puzzled.
i migrated user data from an 2013 imac with mavericks 9.1 (working cs 5.5) to a 2013 macbook with mavericks 9.1. the necessary java-update 2013-005 has been performed.
photoshop, bridge and illustrator are fine, but indesign won't start. it always quits at plugin initialisation.
everything works on the imac i migrated from.
as the new macbook has no dvd drive and indesign 5.5 is not available for download any more, i can't reinstall. does anyone know a solution to this?

Adobe applications need to be installed. You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.

Flash plugin for Firefox: it has trouble after 6-9 hours!

Vista32 sp2, 4GB Ram, ALL Adobe Flash plugin for FF versions, now 11.1.102.55.
perhaps dxdiag.txt needed?
Issue:
when Firefox 3.6 (in the past) or 8.0 (now) remains open, after 6-9 hours I become issues with Flash plugin for FF.
ALL YT videos (240p up to 1080p) playback with jumpiness!! with or without acceleration.
ActiveX for IE9 works fine on the same machine. No problem with Silverlight in FF.
Solution: kill the flash plugin process in task manager >refresh the YT video's page > playback again ok.
why the flash plugin is fatigued after 6 or 9 hours?
is it able to handle good the memory usage?
May you want to suggest me a workaround to get the video's palyback smoothly even if Firefox is running a lot of time (without killing the process in task manager)?
or could I to wait for an update of flash plugin in the future that adresses this issue?

Yes the same problem in Firefox 8.0 too
(in my old FF 3.6: no issues regarding the jumpiness in Silverlight, therefore I think that this was/is perhaps an issue in "Flash player for FF" only: jumpiness after 6-9 hours usage).
But the new FF 8.0 offers the same behaviour after 6-9 hours.

Flash plugin won't work right with 31.0, works fine with 30.0, is there a fix coming?

I have several Unitrends backup systems, which use flash for the Web GUI.
After upgrading to Firefox 31.0, only one of four of these will load the GUI.
This all works with IE, Chrome, and Firefox 30.0.
My guess is that there is some legacy flash logic that does not work properly in 31.0.
Currently, I have had to downgrade to Firefox 30.0 (no change to flash version, BTW).

This problem isn't about the flash plugin, everything else was the same, the flash plugin, the web GUIs using it, etc. The only difference that caused the problem was the upgrade to Firefox 31.0, and the only way I was able to resolve it was by downgrading to Firefox 30.0.
Furthermore, every other browser (IE, Chrome, etc.) works fine on this system using the same flash plugin, same web GUIs. The problem is specific to Firefox 31.0, so the problem needs to be resolved in Firefox.

Macbook won't start up immediately after battery dying

When I plug in my Macbook after its battery died, it won't start up immediately.
Every single time I have to press power button if I want it to start up. When I do this, it makes a really strange noise. (it's comparable with the sound your Macbook makes when you put in a DVD or something) Afterwards I can see my desktop but the screen is white/transparant and at the same time a progress bar appears. When this bar is full, my Macbook shuts down again and I have to do it all over again. The second time around my Macbook will start working eventually. The white, transparant screen disappears and after a minute or so, I can move my mouse again.
Is there anything that can be done to resolve this?

my iPhone 4 crashed and the screen froze, so i pushed the power key to turn it off. But it won't start up again. I tried the 10 sec. holding with the power and home button, and connected it to my laptop, but it still won't start up. what should i do?

Is there anything at all on the screen? Try this procedure:
Plug your device into the original charger & block in a wall outlet and leave it alone for a couple of hours. Then, while it is still plugged in, restart it by holding down the home button and the power button for 10-15 seconds until you see the Apple, then let go.

PSE12 won't start on WinXP after entering Adobe ID

I can't get PSE12 started on my WinXP SP3 pc (2GB RAM, enough HD, etc).
I've installed PSE from my purchased DVD, with win-firewall and Avira AntiVirus scanner inactivated.
Once installed, the Organizor starts without problems. But the editor won't start.
I've been asked for my Adobe ID, which was successfully accepted. The window closes and leaves me again with the start screen. No visible error messages, nothing.
I also tried to start PSE directly with a shurtcut to the .exe in the Program Files folder. No difference.
I've reinstalled it twice. No difference.
I also downloaded PSE12 and installed from there, hoping that this is 12.1 which might have a fix. No difference.
I am an IT guy, so I am not afraid of technical answers.

Late model 2012 macbook pro (non-retina) won't connect to external monitor after updating to 10.9.2 Tried PRAM, cleaning preferences; in safe mode the monitor does show up, but how does that help me?

I have the same problem with my mid 2012 mbp, but I can get the external monitor to show if I dont using the mirroring feature. Not exactly what I want to use but it may help if no one can find a solution.
