Flash to Flex movieclip single frame loaded problem

Hi all,
I have exported a small movieclip (which has 10 frames consisting of a classical rotation animation) as swc from Adobe Flash CS4. I did this from the Library panel by setting the properties as:
- Export for ActionScript 3 (Class name given)
- Export for frame 1 (Deselected)
Afterwards I copied this component to Adobe Flex (Flash Builder 4 Beta 2) libs directory. I then created an instance of the movie clip in Flex with the new keyword (var myMovieClip:MovieClip = new MyMovieClipClass()).
So far so good. The problem arises when I try to navigate between the frames with nextFrame() and gotoAndPlay() etc. The problem is that - only the first frame of the movieclip seems to be loaded - I found it out by checking :
if (myMovieClip.framesLoaded > 1) {
//then log this --BREAKPOINT
When I try to debug the application it never stops in this breakpoint. So, only one frame seems to be loaded.
What do you think the problem here is?Am I in the wrong direction for trying to navigate between frames of an exported swc movieclip?

Ok, I solved the problem. The problem was in Flash I could not convert the animation to movieclip properly. I had designed the animation on the stage, so when I select the object and converted it, only the single graphics object is converted. I started with "create new movieclip" and designed the animation that way, the problem solved.
In the library pane, one should see the animation run when right clicking the component and selecting play option. Keep this in mind...

You can only use apps downloaded from the App store, not via a browser. There is no Flash for any iOS device including the iPod.

Flash loader problem

Hi,
I am having issues with a flash document. The preloader will
show up on Safari, but not on Internet Explorer or Firefox. Any

OK. This is what I came up with. I am not too good with
actionscript. What do you think about this actionscript? Also, if I

Making simple Cross desolves at the end of still photo clips from my library. Not making a clean disolve beteen. Single frames from the previous clip are flashing half way through the desolve. Did both a drag and drop and insert disolve.

When I put in a scroll in fcx, I get a single frame of the scroll flashing on the screen about a second or two before the scroll appears. There is nothing on the timeline and this only appears after I have made the quicktime or dvd. Any thoughts?

Flex 1.5 loader problem

Hi previous we wore having some loader problem. Now it is
cleared. but now our problem is,
In our home page, we are having one loader. In to that we
are loading our applicaions by clicking different links. It was
also fine. By clicking But1 we will get app1 in our loader. By
clicking But2 we will get app2 in our loader. Up to now OK. But
when i click the But1 again, we are able to load app1 but the
cursor is not stopping with its clock symbol. This is become a very
big problem for us. Can anybody know how to recover tis. I am
attacing my sample code.

With the free developer's license, all swfs generated by Flex
will expire in 24 hours.
You can put the Flex server (developer's license) on the
network server. It is limited to the first 5 IP addresses that hit
the site until you restart the Flex server.

Flash Intermittent Load Problem

Hey everyone,
Hoping someone here has a solution for this:

Reload the page a couple times. On random occasions, the page
does not load the top header Flash. I've been able to reproduce
this in IE 6, Firefox 1.5 and 2.0 and Apple's Safari. Has anyone
come across this before? Initially, we thought it had to do with
using the IEUpdate JavaScript. Took that out and replaced it with
SWFObject. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So here's how I solved it. Removed ieupdate.js and utilized
SWFObject on every piece of Flash (not just the header). The Flash
pieces were trying to double load with ieupdate's JavaScript
running. Problem has been solved.

Sync and frame rate problems importing video to Flash CS3

Just like the subject states, I am indeed having frame rate problems importing video to Flash CS3.
When I export a video from Premiere with the settings:
1280x720
frame rate of 23.976
using H264 or Animation (basically every codec produces the same results),
"embed video on SWF and play in timeline"
When I do this the file exports fine. Playing it in Quicktime works fine and the audio syncs up no problem. But when I import it into Flash using the same settings, for some reason the movie clip is now too fast in that the video does not match the audio and seems to be at more like 12 fps now (just a guestimate). The action of the video is over long before the audio even comes in.I have verified that the frame rate is correct in Flash so it's not that.
I've done this literally hundreds of times in the past and suddenly it does not work and I can not figure out why. I'm not even really using video, but actually artwork that I am putting together as an animatic for an animated piece so the video could not have been imported incorrectly or digitized wrong either. Can someone out there please tell me how to make this work? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks for you quick response however it really doesn't apply to what I am doing in any way. I will not be uploading the video to a server. I am using the imbed function so I can use it as a layer and then animate over it. It is just reference and will ultimately be deleted. The Fla file does indeed carry the same specs as I stated in my first post. I have done it this way dozens of times and I am trying to figure out why it suddenly will not work.

"movie not loaded" problem Flash 11.1.102.55 (IE9 32&64 & Chrome) on all websites

I have not been able to get the Flash Player 11.1.102.55 working under Windows7/64 on my desktop on any website including Adobe's. I get a blank window, and when I R-click get the greyed msg "movie not loaded" and the ver number of Flash. I have uninstalled it using 'uninstall_flash_player_64bit.exe' and cleaned the registry and installed it, over and over, cleared all browser history, cookies and cache. Reinstalled browsers. The only way I can sometimes get it to work is to change the URL to httpS instead of http. This works on youtube and on adobe site, but not very many other sites as they wont reply to https. Tried a older ver 10 of Flash, no difference. I do not have this problem on my Windows7/64 laptop running through same network connection here at home. Any ideas would be much appreciated! I have been fighting this problem for many weeks....

My Problem is the following:
A flash animation with Firefox browser (16.0.1 currently latest version-1) , Flash version 11.4.402.287 (currently latest version) shows a flash animation using XML data to display points on a map as a black (my colleague gets a white) rectangle and a "movie not loaded" message with RMB.
Other Collegues with Firefox 11.0 and Flash 11.2.202.235 have no problem, the site is working as it should (and has been working for now several years).
Further testing with Safari, Chrome and ie did work as expected. What is more notable is that Safari is also using Flash version 11.4.402.287.
OS: Windows 7 64 bit.

Flash to Flex Conversion Issues

I have this project that worked perfectly in Flash, and my client needs it transfered into Flex. The Flash project was a single .fla file and a .as document class.
I recreated all of the buttons, text areas, etc. in a single .mxml file. I replaced a movieclip progress loader with a progressBar, and changed the code accordingly.
I changed "public class RecognitionApp extends MovieClip" to "public class RecognitionApp extends spark.components.Application"
I included the Class in the .mxml file using:

            import com.RecognitionApp;
        ]]>
    </fx:Script>
Finally, I added "applicationComplete='RecognitionApp()'" to to the <s:Application> tag.
However, I get 161 errors, all of them "1120: Access of undefined property _______". I have put the correct IDs on all of the buttons. They exist in the .mxml file. Why am I getting this problem?

It seems kind of strange that you have:
RecognitionApp extends spark.components.Application
because I think you can only have one Flex application object. You can load another Flex app using SWFLoader though.
Can you give an outline of your app, something like this:
MainApp
    - MyComp1 (custom component extending VBox created with MXML custom tag)
    - MyComp2 (custom component extending HBox created in ActionScript)
etc.

Mouse over HTML link causes single frame to display at top of page Netscape only

Having a wierd problem. When you run the mouse over HTML
links on the page a single frame of the flash movie apears at the
top center of the page. It only happens in netscape in firefox
mode. IE, Opera, and Firefox do not have the problem.

The problem goes away if i modify my .css file by removing
the
border: 1px solid #999999;
line from the "a:hover" style.
I ran my css file thru the validator at w3c and its fine. The
Page also validates as xhtml transitional.
and just a note the same file version is on my public server
and my testing server.
Has anyone ever seen this before?? I have several sites with
a:hover effects and flass media and have never run across this
before.

Concatenate two single frame swf's into one singleframe swf?

Is it possible to combine multiple swf's into one "single frame" swf?
I have an flex application, that has a scroller with a swfloader inside, and the swfloader should load the "single frame" swf and it is possible to navigate up and down, via the scroller.
Any help is appreciated.

I've experienced the same thing sometime long in the past,
and I probably did a frame by frame Print Screen to get around it.
If it's single frame swf, then that's probably all you're going to
get is one frame as an output.
You may be able to incorporate a jpeg encoder of some sort to
take snapshots as the piece animates in some form of loop fashion,
but I'm not savvy in that dept.

Non-Reloading Loader problem

In the first frame of that movieclip, I'm importing an external swf with Loader class,(Using actionscript2 but my main flash page using Actionscript3), It is loading well but when i pass to second frame and return to the first frame again, the Loader doesn't work. (i'm using addChild(); to show external swf)

The reason I am asking these questions is to try to get an understanding of how you have designed the file and what it is supposed to be doing, but you don't seem to be able to follow/answer what I am asking.
Here is a link to what I can only imagine from what you have described so far. It contains two files, the fla is the one that loads the swf, so look at that fla file and see how it differs from what you have created. It does what you are saying your file will not do.

Premiere Pro CC inserting single frame into exported files

I have never had this issue before today.
A project I have been compiling off and on for several months was exported using AME via PPCC.
In previous exports this issue did not come up at all.
Here is the problem:
The rendered videos (using Apple ProRes 422 HQ, QT H.264, and MPEG2 DVD) have a single frame insert between two stills in a montage.
The previous render it appeared on a different photo a few seconds later in the program, like this:
Again, these are single frame artifacts not found in the timeline in PPCC. They only appear as "flash frames" in the exported video.
Anybody else seeing this? Is there a solution?

Please provide us details of your systems:
What is the OS and version ?
What is the Graphics Card installed on the system ?
How much Ram do you have ?
Do you use any external Hard Drive ?
and if you are using GPU Acceleration on Open CL, You can these issue on Export.
Please switch GPU acceleration on Software only mode, (if using cuda enabled card then Cuda )

This is I got when google it:
you mean your trying to export a flash animation as an avi and your using movieclips???
if this is your case i have a very simple solution export it as a swf, now import that swf into a new file and export it as an avi all should be good.
The reason why flash doesnt export movie clips is because it has its own time and if your going to use a flash animation for video it should have only one timeline alone thats why movieclips dont work when you export it as an avi.
Now the reason why this works is because when you import the swf all teh animation are in the maintimeline so do it and post back your results good luck
