Flash win projector - signing with certificate

Hi,
One of my client want to sign an exe file with certificate.
I bought a certificate "standard code signing" and i want to use signtool.exe to sign the aplication, but all the time i get an error.
has any one try to sign an exe app??
I will be greatfull for any help.

If you fish through the answer to this persons post to get 1.5 working and then read about the update to 2.6 it should give you enough information on how to attempt to get AIR4 to work, but I'm not sure if it will:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5529666/setting-up-flash-cs4-to-use-adobe-air-2-6
TBH I'd honestly only be using Flash CS4 for animation assets and be entirely using a different code editor, esp one that has better code completion like FlashDevelop or even better, eclipse with FDT.
Let me know if you get AIR4 working in CS4 just out of curiosity. (I use Flash Builder 4.7 myself).

  • Cannot sign - get and error with "Sign with Certificate"

    I am trying to sign a document using "Sign with Certificate".  I have created an electronic signature.  I click the button that says "sign with certificate".  I then drag and draw the signature box.  The pop up the appears with a place to "save" the signed document.  I navigate to the proper folder and then I name the document.  When I click OK, I get and error that reads "there was an error when attempting to commit this signature.  the document was not saved.  the file may be read-only, or another user may have it open.  Please save this document with a different name or in a different folder."  I then tried to re-name the original document.  No luck.  I then printed the original document to a new pdf and tried again, no luck.  I tried to save it to a different folder, no luck.  I tried to save it with a different name, nl luck.  I restarted the computer and tried again, no luck. what should i do?

    No.  I am solo and doing this on my stand alone PC, I do not have any of those platforms that you mentioned.  BTW, because of another technical glitch, I only recently – within the last month  - re-installed Adobe on my local machine

  • Adobe Reader Sign with Certificate

    Hi Guys,
    I am using Adobe Reader and as well Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I have setup the sign with certificates successfully. We noticed when a person signs a document it marks a green tick on the document and says it is signed. But when we send the signed document via email to other person, and when the other person opens the documents it says "There is an issue with the certificate"
    Can you please assist in fixing the issue?
    Why is this happening in both Reader and PRO?
    Thanks

  • Why unable to sign PDF with certificate after applying Nitro PDF password protection? (despite it explicitly allowing signing with certificates)

    I used Adobe Reader XI to sign PDFs with certificate, which worked perfectly. Except that the PDF could still be edited by other programs (for example, Nitro PDF) after the signing (but not the fill out fields and the signature). To apply password protection makes sense to avoid changes in the PDF being made after it has been signed. So I applied password protection via Nitro PDF that allows only enter fill-out fields and signing. But when I open it with Adobe Reader, the filling out works fine, but the signing part is not available to click on it (all of the buttons under "Sign" tab are grey). When I go on the Security properties with Adobe Reader, I can explicitly see that signing of this PDF is allowed and yet the option is not open to use for me anymore.
    Any ideas on why it is the case and what I could do about that?
    Many thanks!
    O.

    Actually yes, I just asked my colleague to assist me with this, he password-protected the PDF with Acrobat 8, explicitly allowing for signing and fill-out functions, it also appears in Adobe Reader under security properties as "allowed", but it is not open to use in the Reader for me anymore (grey buttons).

  • Sign with certificate with 'non-repudiation' key usage only

    Hello,
    We are facing a problem validating digital signatures created by our partners with Adobe Reader. When validating the signature, we get the general 'The signer's identity is invalid' error. The Signature properties -> Certificate tab reports a warning "The selected certificate has errors: Not valid for usage".
    The key usage extension in the certificate that our partners use for signing contains the only 'non-repudiation' element. Still, the intended usage shown on the certificate summary tab is "Sign document".
    The main question is if the problem is related to the specific value of the key usage extension, or it has a different root.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ken

    Hello Steve,
    Thank you very much for the document. In the mean time, we've got a permission from our partners to share with you one of the documents we've exchanged with them before. I have uploaded it to Google Docs (https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B1wk9toh5e7AbWNlVGZoY2thY1U), as the forum doesn't allow me to attach documents to a message. Just in case if you're not familiar with Google Docs, simply go to File->Download menu after opening the link in the browser, and you will be able to retrieve and save the original document locally.
    Do I still need to ask them to sign the document you attached above as well?
    We really appreciate your efforts in this regard,
    Ken Ivanov

  • I have a problem with signing with certificate on mac os

    Always get error message "the credential selected for signing is invalid'
    Despite it appears correctly on my document, with good pin, the certificate appears as trusted in the list , and so on...
    No more ideas about what to check.
    Also tried in Acrobat X PRO ; same problem.
    Anyone have this issue?
    Many thanks for your help

    Hi Eric,
    First of all, if you see a green check mark, the signature is valid.
    The behavior you are experiencing is due to the configuration (or misconfiguration) of the "Trusted Identities" in Reader.  For a signature to show a green check mark, the signer must be valid, and the signer must be trusted.
    For Acrobat or Reader to "trust" a signers certificate you need to configure a "trusted identity" by importing the signers public key.
    Right click on the signed signature field
    Select "Validate Signature"
    Click "Signature Properties" button
    Select the "signer" tab (see screen shot)
    Click "Show Certificate" button
    Select the "Trust" tab
    Click the "Add to Trusted Identities" button
    Set the desired "trust" settings
    Click OK
    Right click on the signed signature field
    Select "Validate Signature" - you should now get the green check mark.
    Trusted identities in Acrobat\Reader are tied to the Windows account profile, this explains why when logged onto the system as user1, the signature shows a green check mark (the trusted identity is configured), and when  logged onto the system as user2, the signature shows a a different status, because the signers certificate has not been trusted under this profile.  If you were to look at the details about the signature (in the signatures pane) you will see that is will say the signature is trusted, but the signer is unknown (not trusted).
    Hope this clears things up.

  • Cannot sign with certificate when packaging from descriptor and fileset - ADT

    Hi,
    I'm trying to use ADT to package my AIR 2.5 application as a native installer and use my own certificate to sign it. However, when I run the following command:
    adt -package -target native -storetype pkcs12 -storepass password -keystore certificate.p12 -keypass password -tsa none IDA-shell.exe shell-app.xml shell-0.5-RELEASE.swf classes
    it doesn't build an executable and gives the following message:
    Signing options required to package from descriptor and fileset.
    I'm just following the Adobe docs on this, so why isn't it working?
    Thx in advance

  • Midlet sign with certificate

    Hello
    I have developed an application that check some data in a DB and in some
    cases it sends to a specific GSM an SMS as an alert. The problem was when
    I wanted to deploy this application on my target phone (Nokia 6230) cause if
    you want to send a SMS you always have to confirm this action. The phone
    always asks you if it can send this SMS. The problem is that this action
    should be automatically triggered and I can not always confirm to send SMS.
    I have read that the solution is to sign you midlet with a valid certificate and
    then the phone will not ask for confirmation any more.
    Can someone give me an advice where I can acquire such certificate and how
    this signing can be done. Any information will be useful.
    Thank to all
    Mitja

    Verisign ot Thawte are you best bet. Not that cheap though, and they may not be available on all carriers & phones.
    Google for MIDlet signing for some excellent tutorials.

  • Adobe Flash Projector EXE files signed with Authenticode digital signatures do not launch and run.

    I am failing to digitally sign Adobe Flash projector exe files.
    Adobe Flash Projector EXE files signed with Authenticode digital signatures do not launch and run successfully.
    It is not currently possible to directly sign a Flash Projector EXE file. Doing so is causing the projector to fail to launch or run.
    What is the way to do it without involving 3rd party tool

    I searched for this in our bug database, but the only bug I found was reported (and deferred) back in 2008.  Other than using 3rd party tools, it doesn't look like this is possible.  I'd recommend opening a new bug report on this over at bugbase.adobe.com.  Please post back with the URL or bug number so others can vote and add their comments.

  • Flash CS3 Mac/Win Projector Publishing - Using older version of Flash

    Hi,
    How can I use an older version of Flash player when publishing to Man/Win Projector? The Properties says 'Player: 7' but when I publish to Mac/Win (.app/.exe) the file says it uses Flash player 9 (9.0.115.0)!
    One of our clients are having issues with a project published this way - on autoplay they get a white screen instead of the program screen and after they update Flash on their computer, the application (Projector) works. What's the issue?
    This is what I have on my first frame (using AS2), is any of this suspect to older versions of Flash? :
    <code as2>
    fscommand("fullscreen", true);
    fscommand("allowscale", false);
            trace("This is a " + System.capabilities.os + " system.");
    var os:String = System.capabilities.os.substr(0, 3);
            if (os == "Win") {
              trace("Windows-specific code goes here");
            } else if (os == "Mac") {
              trace("Mac-specific code goes here");
            } else {
              trace("Must be Unix or Linux");
    var videoStartNumber:Number =0;
    var originalMenu:Number = 1;
    _root.menu1_1.onRelease = function() {videoStartNumber = 1; gotoAndPlay(5);}
    _root.menu1_2.onRelease = function() {originalMenu = 3; gotoAndPlay(3);}
    _root.menu1_3.onRelease = function() {originalMenu = 4; gotoAndPlay(4);}
    _root.menu1_4.onRelease = function() {gotoAndPlay(2);}
    _root.exitButton.onRelease = function() {fscommand("quit");}
    stop();
    </code as2>
    But even if something on this project wouldn't work on an older version than 9.0.115.0 then it shouldn't matter as the Projector will always use the embedded Flash player, not the player installed on the computer, right?
    Really would appreciate any help.
    Thanks!
    PJ

    Please, can someone help me?
    Our client is getting frustrated and I'm out of ideas as to what's wrong with the Projector executable! Why would it give white screen on launch on some systems and not on others?

  • I am using a new imac with osx lion 10.7.5 and have bought a copy of Apple iLife 11 on dvd a so that I can install iWeb and idvd, when I click on install iLife I get a message saying "iLife.kpg was signed with an invalid certificate

    I am using a new imac with osx lion 10.7.5 and have just bought Apple iLife 11 on dvd so that I can install iWeb and iDVD, as macs no longer ship with these apps. When I click on install iLife I get a message saying "iLife.kpg was signed with an invalid certificate.
    Next problem is that when moving through the installer and get to custom install, as I only want to install iDVD and iWeb, I am presented with the option to install iDVD, Sounds & Jingles and iWeb, but not sure what is going on with the other 3 options iLife Support etc, they seem to be greyed out but still look like they may install over the top of the newer versions already on my imac. Is it ok for me to just go ahead and hit install? Or do I have a problem?

    Yep, just install iDVD (plus sounds and jingles) and iWeb if you want it (but note that iWeb apparently won't work if you upgrade to Mountain Lion).
    Then use Software Update to get any late iDVD updates.

  • Office 2010 created PDF only bringing up Work with Certificates option with Signing

    When creating PDF documents with Microsoft Word 2010, the only Sign option showing is Work With Certificates and is greyed, I Need To Sign and Get Others to Sign is missing.  My previous PC with Windows 7/Office 2010 and Reader Xi was able to sign documents.  I'm also able on my old XP machine to create a dummy pdf in Word 2010 and sign it in Reader, and on my Windows8/Office 2013/Reader Xi PC.  Any idea as to where this might have been broken?
    With the PDF file created in 2013, I Ctrl+D'd to get the security settings as it's commonly suggested that electronic signatures is failing because of a setting there, however I'm still able to sign it with Signing: Not Allowed and get the full signing menu instead of the Work With Certificates.

    Hi,
    If you meet any problems when using our products, you can post the question here. Please post one question in a single thread, and the question should be posted in the proper forum.

  • Is there a way to make a self-signed client certificate with keytool...

    Is there a way to make a self-signed client certificate with keytool
    that will install successfully into the personal store in IE?

    hi,
    It is possible to make a self-signed client certificate with keytool and i am successfully using in my dummy application.
    The first thing you need to do is create a keystore and generate the key pair. You could use a command such as the following:
    keytool -genkey -dname "cn=Mark Jones, ou=JavaSoft, o=Sun, c=US"
    -alias business -keypass kpi135 -keystore C:\working\mykeystore
    -storepass ab987c -validity 180
    (Please note: This must be typed as a single line. Multiple lines are used in the examples just for legibility purposes.)
    This command creates the keystore named "mykeystore" in the "working" directory on the C drive (assuming it doesn't already exist), and assigns it the password "ab987c". It generates a public/private key pair for the entity whose "distinguished name" has a common name of "Mark Jones", organizational unit of "JavaSoft", organization of "Sun" and two-letter country code of "US". It uses the default "DSA" key generation algorithm to create the keys, both 1024 bits long.
    It creates a self-signed certificate (using the default "SHA1withDSA" signature algorithm) that includes the public key and the distinguished name information. This certificate will be valid for 180 days, and is associated with the private key in a keystore entry referred to by the alias "business". The private key is assigned the password "kpi135".
    Also please go through the http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/tooldocs/win32/keytool.html
    This would help u better.
    bye,
    Arun

  • How to view the certificate that a component has been signed with?

    Hi all,
    Been using java webstart deployment for a while so understand how to sign and deploy java applications.
    Question I have is how to view the certificate that was used to Sign a jar. For example, if I signed a jar "myComponent.jar" how can I then view the certificate details within this jar. I currently have an old component which I signed with an old certificate and want to view the experation details.
    Thanks in advance

    You can use command (it will show CN, OU, O, L, etc... and expiration date, of course):
    jarsigner -certs -verify -verbose pathToYourJar.jarI'd suggest redirecting output (>>out.txt).
    Bye.
