Really It Works AndrewThompson64
but i don't Understand the use of this code
javax.swing.JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "Shut up!");what does it makes so the program runs fine>The JOptionPane gets a thread that does not terminate until it is dismissed. That in turn prevents the (existing) thread that is running the sound from ending. (Or at least, that is my vague understanding of the matter - since I usually have sound coming from a GUI - it is not something I've looked into carefully.)
>
and is there's other clear solution?>Sure there is, but I am just about to walk out the door for the day. Try jsresources.org for far more details of the quirks of JavaSound - I am pretty sure they show how to run sounds from a command line app.

FLV File does not play when published to my web server
Hi. I have created a short video in VC3 and selected the FLV option to create a web page. When I uploaded the entire file content to my web server (windows 2003 server hosted at Network Solutions) the FLV file will not play. Now... if I do the same with a WMV tile, the video plays.
You can view the file at
http://www.airforcehomeseller.com/videos/va_education/VATutorials/index.htm
We have another video published in WMV format, although the video vs audio sync is out of wack at the moment, at
http://www.airforcehomeseller.com/videos/Energy%20Pricing%20101/index.htm
What am I doing wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
G-IIHi again
You should probably double-check to ensure the standard.js file was also copied in when the HTML page was imported. It should be there but it never hurts to double check.
You might also perform a double-check to ensure things ended up in the correct folder (if you are organizing your project into folders). It could be that you moved the HTML page into a different folder and orphaned the JavaScript file.
Cheers... Rick

Some mp3 files do not play after upgrading to iTunes 8.0
some mp3 files do not play after upgrading to iTunes 8.0
have upgraded and some songs which used to play on iTunes 7 no longer play. album art is missing. when trying to play on of these songs, nothing appears in the playbar at the top of the window.
it seems the same problem exists in the mac os environment. The solution I discovered to fix this problem was to create a smart playlist with all song of a kind containing MPEG. Then I went through album by album, and coverted ID3 tags using the value of NONE. This then enabled me to play the songs in iTunes 8.0 and in many cases restored the Album Art.
Thanks! -
The audo files do not play from websites instead ask for download. This has occured from the time I have updated Firefox 4 to Firefox 5. Why? And how can i play audio files from websites?

Quick time movies (.mov) files will not play in Iphoto 11.
Quick time movies (.mov) files will not play in Iphoto 11. The thumbnail of the movie shows but when selected only a exclamation mark appears. I rebuilt the library, thumbnails, permissions etc. I also found the movie files in the iphoto database intact and working. Please advise.
You're welcome.
Well believe it or not, that's exactly what the exclamation point means. Search the forum. I've been doing this a while.
Next, I have no interest, commercial or otherwise in Library Manager, I have no shares in the company that makes it. I didn't make it. It's not my software. You could give those guys a million dollars and I'll get nothing from it. I and other expereinced users have recommended it thousands of times on this forum for this problem. Amazing how often it works. Of course, a quick search would have told you that already.
Another: Believe it or not you can use the Rebuild Function of Library Manager for free. You don't need to purchase it for that purpose.
Y'all have a nice paranoid day now.

Certain Video files do not play in Photoshop Elements 13
Hi Forum
I have a problem whereby certain Video files do not play in Photoshop Elements 13 Organizer. The pattern seems to be they are .MOV files. But some files of the same type do play okay? So wondering why some are okay and others not?
I have installed a trial version of Premiere Elements 13 and ALL files play fine there. I understand Premiere installs all relevant CODECS to support all video formats, so why does Elements Organizer not make use of those CODECS?
Many thanks and Kind Regards

Imported Flash files are not playing in published output
Adobe Presenter 7 with the latest updates and PowerPoint 2007
When I insert a Captivate 3 generated Flash file into a Presenter slide, the flash file does not play in the Published output. The slide's image is displayed for 5 seconds and then stops.
After further review, I found that my imported Flash files are not included in the output. Any ideas?
TerryHi Terry,
It's been awhile since I've messed around w/ Captivate 3, but I have a quick question: does your Captivate content include a skin.swf file? If so, then you may have to look at a couple of different solutions to fix the playback problem that you're seeing with Presenter.
One fix includes eliminating the skin by turning the borders option off which will eliminate the "_skin.swf" file. That'll be one less file to deal with, but you need to do that BEFORE publishing in Captivate. From there, you should end up with one swf file from your Captivate content; and then at that point you can include that swf in your Presenter content.
And while we're at it....are you using any Full Motion Recordings at all? I've seen instances where, as you reported, Captivate content will run for awhile, but then the screen "goes blank"...so I'm just curious to know if your Captivate content in actuality has many more files than the "base" swf---which is probably the swf you included in PowerPoint.
Having said that, can you share more information about what your Captivate project looks like (in terms of the number of swf files you're working with, etc), and let's see if we can resolve this for you.

Why my AVI file is not playing? It says a codec component is missing. How do I correct this?
Alternatively, you can download the free iConvert App from the App Store, it can convert into .mp4 which you could then add to your iTunes library and sync to iPhone/iPad/iPod :)

Local files won't play on Windows 10
All of my local files won't play in spotify in windows 10, please help....
Hello:
How did you encode the music files? If you used iTunes to rip the music with make sure you have Apple Quicktime player installed and/or check for an update for Quicktime player. Does you music files play in any other music player? Also try to uncheck all music sources log out of the Spotify desktop app and log back into the Spotify desktop app, add music sources back again into the Spotify desktop app and see if local music files play now.
What Spotify desktop app version are you running? -
.Mov files are not playing on my Mac BookPro
As of this week, I am unable to play my .mov files through Quick Time on my Mac Book Pro. A small windo appears and states that sometype of conversion is occurring and eventually some of my movie files will play.
I am at work creating a .mov file through quick time and the file will not play. That's a well documented limitation of JavaFX. Mov files are simply not supported.

Maybe it helps.

FLV embedded in a SWF file, does not play in HTML file.
Hi,
I embedded a FLV file into flash movie clip, which on publish plays well on SWF file, but when the same is embedded in HTML, it does not play.
What is it i'm missing ..
Kindly help.
Regards
ShashiFirst, clarify this... are you embedding the .flv into the time line, as in:
The .FLV file is imported on the timeline of a movie clip.
I embedded the .flv file,
If you are in fact embedding the video, then there is no external video file... it's embedded into the timeline.
If you are using the FLVPlayback component and an external vid file to display the video and the .swf when testing plays the video just fine but not on the HTML Web page:
SWF plays external video file, as soon as I embed SWF in HTML, it no longer playes the external video file.
then it's most likely a pathing problem.
If you are placing the .swf on a Web page and the .swf and/or the .flv file are not both in the same folder as the Web page.... then the .swf should NOT work when you test it directly! That's because it should be pathed to play from the Web page and not the location of the .swf.
For your review:
Almost always when it works on the local machine and not the server, it's a pathing problem.
You can put your Flash related files in whatever folders you want, they do NOT have to be in the root, they do NOT all have to be in the same folder. But if you have a problem and if sticking them all in the root folder works, then you know that the issue was a pathing problem.
Just remember that paths used in the .swf become relative to the Web page on which the .swf is placed, NOT it’s physical location. So for example, if your .swf is in the flash/data folder and you use that .swf on a Web page in the root folder, you are in effect, removing that .swf from flash/data and putting it in root. So if the .swf is loading any related files (xml, images, video, etc), the path used inside the .swf to load the .xml file has to be relative to it's new location in root and then back down into flash/data. This is true even though when testing the .swf by itself, it can be inside flash/data and work just fine, since relative to it's location, the path is just fine, they are in the same folder. But if that same path is used when the .swf is placed on a page two folder levels up, the relative path has changed, the old "same folder" path will not work.
In fact if you are placing the .swf on a web page in a different folder than the .swf is stored in, and that .swf calls external assets, then direct clicking and opening of the .swf in it’s folder should NOT work! That’s because the paths to the external assets should be relative to the Web page and not the physical location of the .swf.
So just be sure that you use addresses relative to the final Web page locations (not physical file locations) and you can put the Flash related files in what ever folders you want.
Best wishes,

Local Files Will not Sync to iPhone and Gets Error.....

Hi,I have had a similar problem with my Android (4.4.4) phone. Apparently Spotify discontinued to support the upload and streaming of local files!!! I don't understand why, but I'm going to discontinue my premium membership because of this. Below is the email I got from them:"Hello,
Thanks for getting back in touch with your feedback and your clarifications on the issue. That was very helpful for us!
Our latest Spotify Version doesn't support the upload and streaming of local files. :( This was a feature in one of our previous Spotify Versions. :)
Still, this sounds like a great idea: to get back this feature! Please feel free to share it on our ideas board on our Community Site.
You can get other users to show their support by voting on the idea. We’ll keep everyone updated on its status. Maybe your idea could even make it into the app some day!
Do not hesitate to get back to us if anything else comes up in the meantime. We will always do our best to help you.
Have an amazing day,
Spotify Customer Support"
Here is my response:"Hi,this is a very bad management decision!Spotify is a great App, but it doesn’t provide access to all the music in the world and so people like me would like to add to their Spotify selection their own music. The fact that people are paying for a service like Spotify premium should tell you that people honor and appreciate good features and convenience.I don’t understand why Spotify would take back such an important feature. Updates are supposed to improve a product, not make it worse! Without this feature Spotify is just another music streaming platform like countless others and I don’t see the benefit any more. Therefore I will discontinue my premium membership as of the end of this month. Please contact me if this feature of uploading and streaming of local files is enabled again. Thanks" -
Flash .exe or swf files will not play on Vista
I decided to learn how to create captions for flash video,
using CS3. I tested this project and it worked fine. I could just
double-click on the app or the swf and the captioned video played
fine on my Mac. I only had Flash (CS3) on my Mac, so I created the
files there.
I then published an exe to move over to my Vista machine.
When I double-clicked on the file, it brought up Flash Media Player
version 9, but only showed a blank white box. Very frustrating.
After some research, I read that Windows Vista was not
compatible with Flash Media Player 9. Only 10.02xxx or later (I
forget the exact version - it was long) was supposed to work with
Vista. Since CS3 uses version 9 to pack into the executable (PC) or
app (Mac) projector files, I thought maybe this was the problem.
So I downloaded the demo of Flash CS4, thinking this version
would pack version 10 into the projector and this would solve my
problem.
While the CS3 version of my saved flash video project would
open in Flash CS4, it would not play when I tested the movie inside
Flash CS4. It would just show a skin at the bottom of the video
player only (with a play/pause button), and it had moving blue bars
on the skin like it couldn't really load either.
I then decided to create the whole flash video with captions
from scratch under Flash CS4. This time when I tested the movie in
Vista, it worked fine. When I published either the projector exe or
the html/swf combination, it worked fine. So proudly (and finally!)
I sent the exe over to my boss. But..... you guessed it. The Flash
Media Player 10 that started up when the file was double-clicked
just showed a blank white screen again!
So then I moved the exe over to another partition to test to
see if there was some dependent directory pathway saved as part of
the flash video file. The exe wouldn't play on the other partition!
So I thought I was onto something. I then tried moving files that I
thought the exe might be dependent on (although isn't the point of
a projector to be stand alone?) to the same directory on this
partition as the flash exe projector file.
I ended up moving the captions.xml file, the swf files (flash
video player skins included), and the html file that the swf file
is supposed to be embedded in. NOTHING worked.
I even read that someone with this problem saved his Flash
CS4 file as a Flash CS3 file before he published it, and that
worked for him. So I tried that too, but with no joy.
So I am totally stumped. Does anyone out there have advice or
even a solution?
Much Thanks,
ChuckHI
You can use FlashJester Jugglor to create one EXE file by
adding the FLV in

Spoken work files will not play even after importing/converting?
I have some audio files recorded on my Android phone with the basic recording app and the files play when I press the spacebar to preview them in Mavericks. However, after importing them into iTunes using various import settings, including the podcast spoken word ones, they just will not play. When I double click on the file it looks like it is about to play, the apple icon at the top switches to what looks like a progress bar, though it is different from other tracks that do play, and then it immediately switches back to the apple icon and does not play.
Any ideas of anything I can do?
Thanks.I've found an issue with movies when the audio is IMA format. Is that the format of your audio?
