FlashBuilder integration - compiling only the required test

We have a large project and I'm looking into the best way of running Unit Tests on a specific class, without having to recompile the entire project. Is this possible with the FlashBuilder Premium integration?

Interesting, this looks like it could be the way forward. How does the task know which SDK to compile with, and what about more advanced compilation options (like
define, which we use occasionally for conditional compilation).
And, on the general subject, would it be possible to start FlashBuilder debugging from the ant script?

Multiple Numeric Limit Test - Accessing only the failed tests

I would to access only the failed tests in a multiple numeric limit test. The specific information I want to access is the measurement value, low limit, high limit, and comparator type. I need to access these pieces of information during runtime from a Message Popup, therefore i have to use the Message Expression field in the "Text and Buttons" tab of the Message Popup step to access this information.

PostStepFailureCallback is the one you want to start with. The only difference is where you get the data from the Step.Results.
For the Limits etc you will need to look in the Measurement property. Also, beware that you are dealing with an array of data.

Can we display only the required columns dynamically?

Hi All,
I have a scenario where in I have 30 columns in the rtf template. All the columns will never be displayed, only a select few will be available for display. So the output file is show blank columns. Now I want to display only the columns which contain data.
FYI- We cannot know which columns consist data until we run the report.
Any Advice.

The @column will tell XMLP wheater or not the column shall be shown.

Propogating Only the required data to destinition

We are planning to use replication using streams.
We have following scenario
'Site M' is a master site
'Site A' and 'Site B' are the secondary sites.
The updations on 'Site M' are to be propogated to site A/Site B.
Only the records which are ment for site A should be
PROPOGATED to site A and
Only the records which are ment for site B should be
PROPOGATED to site B.
How do we do this.
We just know one way that using row subsetting at apply process level
at destinition site (dml_condition) or using dml_handler (again at destinition site) we camn achieve this.
But this has a problem of transferring the unnecessary data to destinition.
So we are looking for an approach which will allow us to transfer only the needed data to the destinition site and hence reduce the network traffic. How do we doit.
Is there a way whereby we can do it tgrough PROPOGATION process ... or
any other way.

Rules define what is captured, propagated, and applied with Oracle Streams. You can write your own custom rules for propagation that will limit the propagated changes to a particular subset to simulate the effect of ADD_SUBSET_RULES. See chapter 6 in the Oracle Streams Manual (9.2.0.2) available at

In the section on System Generated Rules, there is a discussion of the rules generated by ADD_SUBSET_RULES. You will need to write rules that are similar to these. In addition, you will need to assign a rule-based transformation to the custom rules so that the LCR can be manipulated appropriately. For example, an UPDATE at the source database might need to result in a DELETE at one apply site and an INSERT at the other apply site. You will need to write a transformation on the propagation rule where the DELETE should occur to:
a) change the command_type to DELETE
b) remove the NEW values from the LCR.
Similary for the apply site where the INSERT should occur, the transformation on the propagation should
a) change the command_type to INSERT
b) move the OLD values to NEW values
You can simplify the rules shown in the documentation by creatin[i]Long postings are being truncated to ~1 kB at this time.

Can we display only the required dimensions under Dimensions Drop Down list

I am using Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management, Fusion Edition 11.1.1.3.00, so far under Activities -> Maps option we used to display all the dimensions used in the application, but now as per the client's requirement we need to display only those dimensions which needs mapping under dimensions drop down list.
Eg)
Now in our Application our Dimension Drop Down list will look show these dimensions
Account
Entity
Legal Entity
Inter company
Reverse 1
Reverse 2
Among these we are doing mapping only for Account, Entity dimensions so we need to hide rest of the dimensions from the Dimensions Drop Down list for which we are not using any mappings (Legal Entity, Inter company,Reverse 1,Reverse 2)
Another thing is these dimensions should be hidden only from the drop down list and not from the Output file generated after the Export.
Some suggestions regarding this issue will be greatly helpful.

If hiding the other dimensions is to prevent users from accessing and changing the mappings then you could do this by amending the object security so that only certain user roles can access the Activities > Maps option.
This will only really work if you have limited users / central team that will control the maps but it is the most obvious way to stop users accessing the maps.

For my JSP case I have converted above output's program in javabean I want to print only tagID and other values in a table in my JSP page. Could anybody let me know how to ignore the unnecessary data and print only values after EVT:TAG in three columns and rows, besically rows are not fixed because it depends on reader how many tags it detects?

Can any one tell me how to display only the required number of records on a web page. For example i have 100 records in a table in the database and i want to display only the latest five records on the web page.

If your table has a modified_timestamp field, then you could run SQL that orders that field in desc (descending) order. If you don't, then you would need to use the default ordering on the table. In that case, you would need to skip to the end of the ResultSet using the JDBC2.0 call of last(). Then, using the JDBC2.0 call relative(-5). If this call returns false, then you don't have five rows to display, so you would need to just display the entire result set.
If you can order the table in descending order, that would be much more efficient than this way.

Please help suggestions for solving built-only compiler error: 'The VI is not executable. The full development version of LabView is required tofix this error.'

We have develoepd a software tool and build it on regular basis. It currently runs error free when compiled in the editor, but when we built it and run the executable stand alone we get the error.
'The VI is not executable. The full development version of LabView is required tofix this error.' plus a broeken error.
This menas an compiler error that is not present in the editor but in the stand alone version. We tried to identify errors as suggested in several posts in this forum, but so far unsuccesfull.
As the editor and its compiler do not see the error and are running fine and the stand alone version just syas 'find the error in the editor' in this case LabView is of no help.
Can anyone suggest a sensible or 'good practice ' way of searching for the source of this error?
Our project comprises hundreds of Vis over several libraries.

Thanks Craig for all your suggestions.
We seem to have located the problem in a new vi just added to the package causing conflicts by using the same vi names as other vis already present in the package. Excluding this vi removed the error.
It seems related to a conflict by having two vis with the same name, which was mentioned by LabView and interactively resolved when running the main vi from the editor. When successfully building the main vi the builder did not mention this conflict and reported a successful build, but when trying to run the executable it gave the cryptic error. The error caused us problems because there was no hint for the cause, just the suggestion to solve this in the editor, while at the same time in the editor the VI was running fine.
We will post about this in detail after we have positively proven that this actually was the case.
The .net version issue was already checked.
Performance was the same on all machines we tested on including the dev machine.
Debugging was tried nut did not help as the vi could not run (broken arrow). We assumed that debugging only helps in running faulty functioning vi''s. We did not check for broken arrows in sub-vis (after connecting), that could have helped, although our application has hundreds of our own vis.
In relation to your remark:
'Are you using many classes? Have you verified that the proper access scopes are set for functions calling those vis?'
Could you elaborate on setting access scopes. We were not aware of this option in LabView, although we realize this is a basic element of the underlying c code.

Great exercise to document the problem like this. It got me thinking about how an app with modules would be different from an app that does not use modules. Solution: I moved the dummy reference of PersonPhotoView out to the main application file (as opposed to being inside the module) and it worked. I've probably been lucky not to have experienced this problem earlier, because for most other entities I have an instance attached to my model which is linked / compiled with the main application.

It's probably best to close thread and that I start a new one. I think that I have gone off on a tangent here. Yes SSIS isn't doing much of a job in reporting errors but my main concern is the error itself.
I am trying to port an SSIS Script Task from SQL 2008 to SQL 2012. Is uses the ReportExecution2005 web service to run SSRS reports. The really strange thing is that, even though the same web reference is used, different methods seem
to be available in SQL 2008 and SQL 2012. This doesn't sound right to me, if you refer to the same Web Service you should see the same metros or am I wrong about that.
For example in SQL 2008 there is ReportExecutionService
object but on the SQL 2012 to service there only seems to be
ReportExecutionServiceSOAPClient.

That refers to free disk space, not RAM. If your computer has 4GB of RAM, that's enough. If it only has 4GB of free disk space, you need to delete content from the internal drive; for best results, free up at least 20GB.
