Flat File Conversion Error: Unable to initialize communication channel

Dear experts.
I have a file to flat file scenario. I just wanted to test this first because it's the first time. I followed this blog: /people/arpit.seth/blog/2005/06/02/file-receiver-with-content-conversion
I get this message: Channel has not been correctly initialized and cannot process messages. I looked around on the forum and in other blogs, and it seems something is wrong with my Content Conversion Parameters. Could you please advise?
The message is a small customer test message:

The mapping I am using is one-to-one.
This is not working for me...
Furthermore, I would like to set the Name and Last tag to set field lengths. Is this possible for these tags??

if the customer occurence is (0-------unbounded) then
ur recordset structure is Customerfile,Customer*

This seems to be the main culprit... GP_CAT:1345: ERROR: pif: can't load 'registry.so' and I have searched this forum and found several suggestions like make sure that LD_LIBRARY_PATH is correctly set .. incorrect permssions, delete the .adm ... etc. I have done all of this suggestions. I even re-installed the Tuxedo 9.1 with the assumption that some files like resistry,.so might have been corrupted but this all did not resolved the issue. I believe I have done my I could before going here asking for help.

Download Helper, even with paid converter upgrade, gives "Invalid Capture File" errors and will not record audio, with "File Creation Error - Unable to rename/copy audio file" Error.

Download Helper Screen Capture worked to capture video if the default "no audio" option is active. But, no audio. The "speakers" or "microphone" audio options are confusing....the audio to be captured is from the video, so what do you choose? With either "speakers" or "microphone" selected, the captured file has poor audio and no video. Re-capture efforts (speakers) get "Invalid capture file error" and "File Creation error- Unable to rename/copy audio file"
The paid upgrade of "Converter" doesn't work.
Instructive documentation - not very good.
Suggestions - Need time delay between initiation of "Record" and starting the video to be recorded.
Could use timer tracking of the record process.
Are there operating system limitations? (Have Windows XP Pro)

Oracle ODBC - Internal Error - unable to initialize NLS during driver load

I'm having some trouble with my ODBC connections which I hope someone can please help me with!
About 6 weeks ago all was working as normal.
As far as I know there have been no updates to the ORacle DB, the Windows XP operating system or the ODBC Drivers.
Today when I opened access and visual case 2 to connect to Oracle I was at first greeted with a:
unable to connect SQLState=IM004 SQL_HANDLE_ENV
error. ODBC also kept crashing.
I restarted the computer and was confronted with a different error:
odbc SQLSTate 08004 ORA 12154 TNS could not resolve the connect identifier specified
I was able to fix this error by setting the environment variable TNS_ADMIN in windows xp environment variables. I'm extremely confused about how this happened though as it was working and I don't think anything has changed.
I was then able to connect to the database via Microsoft Access but when I opened Visual Case 2 and tried to make an update, I was confronted with the following error:

I looked in the registry at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oracle\KEY_OraClient10g_home1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oracle\KEY_OraClient10g_home2
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oracle\KEY_OraDb10g_home1
and NLS_LANG was set to "AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252" in all 3 places.
(Though KEY_OraClient10g_home2 only had 4 entries as opposed to KEY_OraClient10g_home1's 13 entries)...
Since I made those changes I can no longer connect through Access.
I just receive a ODBC - connection to 'xxx' failed
Advice greatly appreciated!!!!

Actually it sort of does...
I switched the ODBC connection to use instant client and now it's all working again.
The biggest mystery is what changed to make it suddenly stop working the old way...

Receiver CC File - Complex Flat File Conversion

Dear forum users,
I want your opinion about the feasibility of the content conversion described below using Receiver CC.
The structure of my file is the following
- A File header segment (FH)
- 1...N Business Object that is described by many segments
- A file footer segment (FF)
Exemple of business Object : Purchase Order :

Exemple of file :

Is content conversion standard tool can deal with such a structure ?
Note that in the file created, the order of each segment has a big importance :
PO Items of PO 1 must be after PO Header of PO 1 but before PO Header of PO 2 !

2. Where is located the famous "Data" directory in which I must put my xsl file ?

1.     If you have Data Source a Flat File e.g. Excel file I know that you have to create Data Source at BW side. How do you upload updates, by selecting Delta Update when executing next Data Load? Do you ever u201Cconvertu201D this Excel file into Application Tables to become SAP Source 
2.     Can you please give me example of situation where you had to create Generic Data Source? What is difference between Time Stamp, Calend. Day and Numeric Pointer. Which one is most common to select?
3.     I read somewhere that Generic Data Source does not have Setup Table. I thought that you have to have Setup Table in order to load transaction Data otherwise you will lock the Application Tables. Where am I going wrong im my thinking please?
4.     What are steps in terms of IP before, under and after Delta Initialization. I belive that you can do two ways:
Full Update - Initialize Delta Process (without Data Transfer) u2013 Delta Update or
Initialize Delta Process (with Data Transfer) u2013 Delta Update
Am I right? What is most common method and why?
5.     If you want to add a filed in Data Source after 6 month using it, you want to do it without re-init Delta Queue. Once you create Datasource for A flat file extraction then it is file source system specific hence you cont change to Application table source Data source
In info package you can change the source as application server instead of desktop no need to change the DS

When we don't find any standard extractor then we can go for Generic(if i want information sales along with finance information in a data source then generally we dont get standard one hence we can go for generic DS)

for Delta capturing you can use
Timestamp(if the table has time stamp filed so it can stamp the last changed record in that table hence it is easy to get delta based on the time stamp)
Calday- (If the table doesn't have the Timestamp filed then search for Calday where you can stamp the delta based on the date when documents are changed )
Numericpointer : If the table doesn't above both then we go for this option where you can the numeric value change stamp )

Generic datasource nothing but we extracting data directly from the database table without any interface between the application/systems

Once you add the new field to structure(DS) you will get the data as on date onwards not historical data hence what is the concept of setup table ( delta records come from the Delta Que not from the setup table )
If you want histaric data to new field then you need to setp table deletion ...etc...

Help needed on DATABASE ERROR: : unable to initialize mutex

Hello,
I am trying to run Berkeley DB on a MIPS platform using DbEnv. While the code runs fine on Linux RedHat, it throws the following error message when run on the MIPS:
DATABASE ERROR: : unable to initialize mutex: Function not implemented
DATABASE ERROR: : PANIC: Function not implemented
DATABASE ERROR: : unable to join the environment
I run a little test program which uses mutexes and conditionson the MIPS platform and seems to work fine.
What could be the problem?

First of all thank you very much for all the support on this matter.
Second, I was unable to access the faq because it is asking for authentication which I don't have.
Here are more details on what I am trying to do, hopefully will help resolve the issue:
- I am trying to run Berkeley DB on a MIPS R3000 hardware platform running Linux 2.4 kernel.
- When configuring Berkeley DB I tried using --with-mutex=MIPS/gcc-assembly which resulted in an Illegal instruction error being thrown when trying to open the environment
- When configuring Berkeley DB I also tried using --enable-posixmutexes which throws the error message mentioned in my initial post
- I also wrote a little program that tries to use process shared mutexes and seems to work fine on the embeded system. here is what i successfully run on the box:

i am using aa software that require root access , but when i run it with root access is shows

I am using kde desktop , but when loginas root in kde and run that application it works fine.
i have googled a lot on this but did not find any solution.

You should NEVER login graphically as root. What software do you want to use? Is it REALLY necessary to give it root access=
If you want to run it as root, you should do the following in a terminal:
$ xhost + enable X access from terminals
$ su login as root
# /path/to/programname
Or better yet if you use sudo.
Better yet if you start the program with
gksu <programname>
This way you'll be asked for password and won't need a terminal.
By the way, if the program requires gtk to be in your sistem, maybe you should check that they're installed, giving
pacman -S gtk2

Since you're using a 3rd party app, you should ask the app developer or look at their support site.

Error in HTTP_AAE receiver communication channel, PI 7.4 dual stack

Dear Experts,
I am facing the below certificate error in HTTP_AAE receiver communication channel while using the third party (bank) private key. Third party bank server is HTTPS enabled, moreover they have generated the public and private keys on their server, and they shared the corresponding private keys in .p12 format to us. Our scenario in SAP PI is synchronous ABAP Proxy to HTTP_AAE, when I see the message in SXMB_MONI after testing, we get he below certificate error, though we have provided the correct path from keystorage view and keystorage entry in HTTP_AAE receiver communication channel
“com.sap.aii.adapter.http.api.HttpAdapterException: ERROR_SENDING_HTTP_REQUEST, sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target”
We have imported the private key provided by bank in Netweaver admin key storage, by following the below steps.
NWA -> Certificates -> Key Storage -> TrustedCA->Import Entry->Entry Type->PKCS#12 Key Pair->select the .p12 file->import.
Please see the attached doc for related screenshots.
Please experts help me experts as this is on high priority from client, also suggest me if I am doing anything wrong here.

Hi Farhaan,
do you have only one certificate or multiple certificate? HTTPS can have 2 or 3 certificates (Root, Intermediate [optional, if any 3rd party person is there in the middle then we can get this certificate] and system certificates).
The issue is with the certificate and it can be because All the certificate is not present or path is not correct.

Unable to create communication channel - RFC

Hi ,
I am trying to create communication channel automatically , when adding business systems from SLD to integration repository. I get the following error only for RFC
all other communication channel gets generated correctly.. Is there any thing i am missing.
HTTP communication channel GeneratedReceiverChannel_HTTP created
IDoc communication channel GeneratedReceiverChannel_IDoc created
XI communication channel GeneratedReceiverChannel_XI created

Please run transaction SLDCHECK. The connection to SLD might not be working properly.
Plus, in the business system you created, check if client number and all other parameters associated with SAP systems are valid.

Dear All,
While executing JDBC(MS-Access)-PI-RFC interface, we are getting error in sender JDBC communication channel. The error is as following:
Error during database connection to the database URL 'jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=
sappidev\Datatran\Database.mdb' using the JDBC driver 'jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver': 'com.sap.aii.adapter.jdbc.sql.DriverManagerException: Can not establish connection:: SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified'.
I have checked various posts on forums and as per those no drivers installation is required to access MS-Access database and I am not able to find any post which could solve my problem.
Kindly guide me on what might be the problem and how this can be resolved.

Hi Nishu,
That error ALWAYS means your DSN name is incorrect or can't be accessed for some reason (permission). The ODBC part says that the bridge is working.
But that DSN is 100% wrong or cannot be seen by the user account that the server is running as. Make sure you have a system DSN and not a user one.

---We are trying to setup Hyper-V on Samba shares samba version 3.6 exported from Ubuntu M/c. Basically runnig the Public(share) from the Ubuntu and able to access it from Windows 2012 (create/modify everything). I used Hyper-V and placed the disks

I am using PI 7.1 and i am trying out the blog for direct conversion of IDOC xml to flat file and vice versa.

Cause: com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NameNotFoundException:
Path to object does not exist at SAP_XI_IDOC, the whole lookup
name is localejbs/SAP_XI_IDOC/IDOCFlatToXmlConvertor.
I have done all the setting required .. as per the blog.Is it srictly for PI7.11?

This feature is a part of PI 7.11 new features , as it is mentioned in the begining of the Blog itself.
So i feel , yes its strictly PI7.11 feature which may not be available in PI7.1 version which you are using currently.
There may be workarounds...lets c fellow SDNer's replys:)...

Flat file destination error

hi
i am adding new field to my existing package which is char(10).
getting this error:
[Flat File Destination [139]] Error: Data conversion failed. The data conversion for column "MEMBER_ID" returned status value 4 and status text "Text was truncated or one or more characters had no match in the target code page.".
i right click flat file destination->i only see external and input column over there,
there is no output column.
in flat file connection mamanger ->outputcolumn->its char(10)
what needs to be change here?

According to your description, you are trying to add a new source column to a flat file in an existing package.
Based on the error message, the issue should be caused by text was truncated when load new column to column "Column1" in Flat File Destination. Because the length of new column data should be more than 10 (with some junk values) in the Source,
while you are trying to convert the column to 10 as the character length.
To fix this issue, we can increase the length of column "Column1" in Flat File Connection Manager. Alternatively, if you still want to convert the new column to a column with length 10, we can right-click the Source component to select “Show Advanced
Editor”, then go to tab 'input and output properties' to expand the output column corresponds to the column "Column1", change TrancationRowDiposition property to RD_IgnoreFailure.
Besides, the issue can also be caused by using some special characters in the new column. We can check the Unicode checkbox on the right hand side of Locale property in Flat File Connection Manager to fix this issue. For more details, please see the following
