Flatten and Merge question
Dears all,
i found Flatten and merge a great feature ( Comp and Take ).
But : it's possible to go back to originary comp once Flatten and Merge command is executed ?

Hey guys, i noticed that if you have flattened the performance (not sure about flatten and merge) you can slice the track (scissors) after say a performance you changed your mind on and you'll be able to then look at other takes (that little arrow will appear on the upper right side).
obviously slice before the take so you don't replace everything leading up to it.......

One take folder is acting weird: flatten and merge deletes the take folder
My other take folders are acting fine, but when I flatten and merge this particular one, it deletes the entire take folder from the track. The other take folders on the track are left alone.
It also shows a blank comp when I click the disclosure triangle to close the take folder. When I am comping the track it is fine and acts normal. I can't get the audio out of the take folder without bouncing it, and that's not good because the waveform is so small in comparision to the rest of the tracks.you don't need to bounce

Export as Audio should be easy
(export track as Audio is not the same as Bounce... *it bypass all reverbes and delay on BUSSes...*
of course you need to bypass manually the inserts plugins before export the whoòe audio track...
it will be absolutely the same as original!!!

Type, create outlines and merging questions
Hi,
I have type which I then I created outlines. Then I have this shape (a rectangle frame), I want to merge the two so I can bring an image into the combined shape. I cannot figure out how to merge the outlines text with this frame - is this even possible to do in ID? I know how to do it in Illustrator using the pathfinder but I'd really like to get this done in ID.

I've been waiting for this forever! I downloaded the new version this morning, and can't find anything in the user manual or in the Apple topics about how to do this......... can anyone help?

Certificate Widget and Random Question Slides
I am in the process of evaluating Captivate 4. Twice now I have had an issue with using the random question slides with the certificate widget. In both cases I converted a Captivate 3 course in which the random question slides and corollary question pools had worked as they should. In both, I successfully added the certificate widget to the new course (Captivate 4) following the instructions in help.
In the first course, only one question pool would work. The others simply showed up as a blank slide. I was able to fix that by merging all the questions into the one working question pool. Wasn't the way I had wanted to randomize the questions, but it allowed me to publish the course. The certificate widget did work.
In the second course, none of the questions pools are working and the published version of the course skips right past the random questions that had been interspersed after each topic area. One again, this course had worked just fine in Captivate 3 and with Captivate 4, without the certificate widget. I do not wish to combine all the questions into one question pool. As I noted, I published the course without the widget and the questions worked just fine.
This leads me to believe that I am doing (or not doing) something when I include the widget that is causing the problem. I can't imagine what that would be, but the fact that no one else seems to have posted this issue makes me think it is something I'm doing.
I am not using an LMS. I'm publishing to .html file that resides on our LAN.

How to migrate and merge Webcat in OBIEE
Hello guys
I have a quick question about migrating and merging webcat..
Let's say if I wanna send my webcat to other people for them to see what I have done on presentation service, how would I save my webcat into local desktop so that I can email the attachment?
Also, if others send me their webcat, how would I be able to merge it with my own?
I remember back when it was siebel analytics, there was a way I could capture the webcat from a local folder and saved it with a specific name and send it off very much like handling RPDs, but in OBIEE I am unfamiliar with this part

Sync and merge clips, proper ways and tips please

Im working on a indie feature and need help with sync and merging clips. So far from my trials Premiere doesn't really sync that well based on audio (plus it doesn't seem to sync more then one set of clips at a time), luckily I have Pluraleyes that syncs in a breeze so that's what I'm using. So, my questions:
1) How do I merge more then one set of clips simultaneously. Look at my timeline. This is from only 3 days of shooting (and we've shoot for 33 days). It will take me forever to merge these...
2) How do I merge clips so they end up in a specific bin in the project panel. Now when I do it the new merged clip ends up at root which is manageable but annoying.
Can someone confirm if this is actually how you work, very laborious or am I missing something?

I Have just spent the best part of a week installing iTunes on my laptop, transferring over all my music and merging tracks by different artists on one album so that they all show as one album. I have just plugged in my new ipod classic to sync all my music but the music has gone across in random tracks and split albums.... I really am losing the will to live and am about to throw both iPod and laptop out the window.... So SOMEBODY.... Please HELP.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards? -
Performance issue and functional question regarding updates on tables
A person at my site wrote some code to update a custom field on the MARC table that was being copied from the MARA table. Here is what I would have expected to see as the code. Assume that both sets of code have a parameter called p_werks which is the plant in question.

Here's the question - why did this person enqueue and dequeue explicit locks like this ? They claimed it was to prevent issues - what issues ??? Is there something special about updating tables that we don't know about ? We've actually seen it where the system runs out of these ENQUEUE locks.
Before you all go off the deep end and ask why not just do the update, keep in mind that you don't want to update a million + rows and then do a commit either - that locks up the entire table!The ENQUEUE lock insure that another program called by another user will not update the data at the same time, so preventing database coherence to be lost. In fact, another user on a SAP correct transaction, has read the record and locked it, so when it will be updated your modifications will be lost, also you could override modifications made by another user in another luw.
You cannot use a COMMIT WORK in a SELECT - ENDSELECT, because COMMIT WORK will close each and every opened database cursor, so your first idea would dump after the first update. (so the internal table is mandatory)

Convert different types of files and merged them into one pdf
Hi, everyone. I'm girl from China.
There is folder containing severl files of different types, like doc, msg, jpeg etc. And I want to convert and merge them into one pdf following a certain order. I know that PDFmaker can do that nicely, but the problem is that I have like 3000+ fodlders that requires the same work.
I want to do it with VBA and Acrobat. I have a Acrobat XI Standard Version and a perfect license, by the way
And I have got the code(Thanks, Karl Heinz Kremer) of merging two pdfs into one, but how can I convert them into pdf first?

Help! InDesign won't package?
Yesterday, I was unable to collect and package my InDesign CC 2014 jobs. This has changed sin three days ago when I was packaging and collecting fine. The error message reads: InDesign could not package the document 'ZIG-1029 FloorSysLit_12.indd'. Ca
