Flatten, Move and Close PDF

Using Adobe X and would like to be able to create an action(script) that will flatten a open PDF, move (save) and close the PDF all with one action (button?). When a user has a PDF open on their local desktop and have finished processing the document (custom stamp) would like to be able to flatten the document and then move it to a network file location. It can keep the existing name or be renamed, it does not matter. Then would like the action or script to close the open PDF on the local desktop. Have researched web and can not find a solution. Is this possible thru java? Thanks in advance for any help.

As try 67 said, this type of operation sequence is quite common, but requires writing an automation script. Forturnately everything you need to create such a solution is out there.

Print and Close PDF

I have an ASP.NET page that converts a crystal report to PDF.
With IE open and Adobe Reader plug-in loaded displaying the converted PDF, I would like for the user to click the print button, print the PDF document and automatically close.
Can this be done through Adobe Reader settings? Can this be done programmatically? Remember, I'm using a .NET Web App.

You could try an instruction (depending on whether the user will be mainly using the keyboard - page down on keyboard; or have a scroll mouse). It would probably be best to include a couple of navigation buttons (in the same place on each page), nice an big / non printable. It might also using left and right arrow images, rather than rectangular buttons (more intuitive). You could then put buttons over these with no fill or border.

Just a small suggestion: a landscape form would work well full screen in the kiosk.
In relation to testing - we have one form that opens full screen. Most of the features worked perfectly, except one button which opens the attachment panel. The panel could not open in full screen. So it is just a case of checking the functionality in full screen. Unless you are opening panels, then it should work OK.

Trackpad is presenting a bug to open and close windows, mission control, and to move/roll the application (App) up and down.

Totally out of the blue, my trackpad is presenting a "bug". Every time that I try to open and close my mission control, or in the moments that I move / roll up and downs the Applications Screen, my Mac freezes for less than a second.
It never suffered any damage (NEVER!)! I am feeling very frustrated because I have no idea about what could cause such problem.
My MacBook Air is running OS X 10.9.5.

Well, it all really depends on the custom program and how it was written. Does it have an ActiveX interface? If it does, than that's the easiest way to go. If you put an automation refnum on the fron panel, you can right click and it and choose Select ActiveX Class>Browse. The browser will list all of the ActiveX type libraries that are registered on your system. If you can find one that refers to your custom program, then you should be able to use it's methods and properties to control. If it does not have an ActiveX interface, then things get much more difficult.

Script to open another pdf attach to email and close the new pdf

I have a pdf that contais a movie and there is a link to send another pdf with a small version of that film to email i tried this code but without any luck

If the PDF isn't already downloaded in the email then you should be able to do so by tapping on it.
If the PDF is open within the body of the email then press and hold it and after a second or so you should get a 'Open In' pop-up; otherwise (e.g. the PDF opens into a separate screen) then tap the PDF and you should get an icon top right of a box with an arrow coming out of it - tap that and you'll get the 'Open In' option

If I open a PDF doc in a new tab and then try and close the tab with ctrl-w it will try and close all tabs unless I switch to another tab and back again.

Running Firefox beta and Adobe Acrobat 10. If I open a PDF document in a new tab, say http://support.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100146419, and then try and close the tab using ctrl-w, I get the message warning me about closing all tabs. If I switch to another tab and then back to the PDF document and then hit ctrl-w, it will just close that one tab and not all tabs.

I've just been playing around and I set dom.ipc.plugins.enabled to true and now it closes the PDF document but not the tab. I have to do ctrl-w again to close the tab. However, leaving that set to true ruins the scroll mouse functionality as Acroread seems to want it all to itself.

Reader X freezes and closes when PDF is opened

Every time I open a PDF it freezes after about 6 seconds and closes. The problem detail box shows this:

I have Windows 7.Home Premium, Service Pack 1. This problem began about a month or so ago. I have tried the trouble shooter and it says I have a compatibility problem but does not offer a fix. AARRGH! I saw a thread about this but now I can't find it again. It said to change a preference setting but Reader freezes and closes before I can change any settings. There was mention of a registry key but that is over my head. =(

What is your Reader version?
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

Close PDF file and reopen it

In my process i added a custom annot through SDK 8 version 2.
After that I save the PDF file by PDDocSaveWithParams() and then close PDF:

I watch the value of docC,it's 0,means close failed, I don't know why failed.But the Doc the closed and I change the file content using C file function like fopen, fread ,fwrite, fclose.
Then I reopen the file:

I use Acrobat 8 Visual stdio app wizard to create a test project.
In this project I found that if i call close doc and reopen doc by menu it's OK,but if i call it by tool button it's not opened.
Step further,I found that at the DoClick event of AVToolRec will cause failure, the event will response when mouse clicking the page.
So i am wonder that if i can not call close doc and reopen doc in DoClick?
If not how can I resolve this problem? I want to get the click position.

Save and Close the PDF form

I've created PDF Form (Acrobat XI standard) with various field and button for sending the link of document location by outlook mail. I need the adobe java script for save the document in same location and close the document while i use the button for sending the link.

You can only save the file to a specific location if you can install a script on the local machine where the file is used.
Otherwise the best you can do is cause the Save As dialog to open, but you can't force the file to be saved.

I'm having problems with acrobat xi since installing it on my windows 7 computer.
Every time I try to open up a pdf file from windows live mail or a browser.. it opens and closes immediately. The only way I can view it is if I save the file onto the computer, open up acrobat reader first then open up the file in there.
How do I make it work properly again please?
I've tried several things so far like..
-Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
-Disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

How can I tell which one it is exactly? I think it is Acrobat Reader.. 11.0.10...
I can only open up a PDF if I save it to my computer and then open up the Acrobat program then open up a file using file > open.
But if I try and view a pdf from an email attachment in Windows Live Mail.. or from a browser... it will open and close immediately.
How do I fix this please? thanks.
