Flex Window Title Changing Autoatically

Hello,
I have a flex window, and I am setting the title using
BrowserManager and IBrowseManager. When the window is loaded, the
title is getting set properly. But once the user clicks on the
window, the title is getting reset to #. Strange thing is, this is
happening with IE browsers only. With Mozilla, window title is
persisting properly.
Please help me to resolve this incase of IE browser.
Regards
Sivajee.

I tried this... But didnt wrok...
Here is the code which I used to set the title.
bm = BrowserManager.getInstance();
bm.init("", "Create PDF - Claim # " + claimNumber);
I tried bm.setTitle("Create PDF - Claim #" + claimNumber),
that too didnt work.

  • Is a window title changer app possible?

    I haven't been able to find an app for Mac that lets you change window titles for any currently-open windows (the same way http://www.murgee.com/window-title-changer/  does on Windows). I know Terminal has this functionality built in, but I'd like to do this for my IDE and other windows as well to make it easier to commad-tab to the right window.
    Does anyone know of an existing app that does this?
    If not, is such an app even possible or does the OS disallow it?
    Thanks

    hi, there is no such app because OS X prevents this sort of stuff to block viruses. you won't find this on Macs.

  • Window Title Changed

    Good morning,
    While checking some changes to my project, I noticed that the
    window title now reads (Help Author On) instead of the name of the
    project. There is also a number that appears before the ( ) that
    changes as you click on different topics in the TOC. The titles of
    the windows and of the project are correct. The window titles are
    also correct in the HPJ file. I deleted the RTF files, recompiled,
    and nothing changed. I opened RoboHelp's help to see if I could
    find a solution and it says (Help Author On) as well. Does anyone
    have any ideas?

    Hi all
    I think the RoboHelp way of Enabling/Disabling is to click
    Tools > Options... > Compile tab and change the "WinHelp
    Mode" setting from "Help Author Mode" to "Normal Mode".

  • Flex appends title to browser window in IE

    I have run into a bug with my app which occurs only in IE. My
    browser title is changed when my embedded flash object is loaded to
    the page.
    My set up is as follows:
    1) Running JSPs
    2) Page loads the flash object asynchronously (using ajax).
    3) Once flash object is loaded two things happen:
    i) The current title of the browser appends a part of my URL
    . (URL format is as follows:
    https://somehostname.com/#someStringFollowedByParams
    #someStringFollowedByParams The part that gets appened to
    the title, is everything after and starting with "#" )
    ii) My flash object allows some interaction. An as soon as
    anything is done with that object (even simply clicking on it , in
    any area of that object) the browser title changes completly to
    that string that starts with "#".
    Now, nowhere in my code do I set a title through flex.
    The title that is set through JavaScript on page load,
    doesn't have that URL piece .. It displays simple strings depending
    on page content.
    This only happens in IE (both 6 and 7) , no other browser
    behaves this way...
    Have anyone seen this issue and have any suggestions ?
    Thanks!

    As I said, it's not working for me...
    Here my use case:
    1. Create new project with Flex 3.5 SDK, with this content:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" width="500" height="500" historyManagementEnabled="false">
    <mx:Label text="HELLO"/>
    </mx:Application>
    2. In compilation options, uncheck "Enable integration with browser navigation"
    3. Deploy the html+swf in an Apache
    4. Access the file like... http://localhost/test.html#abc
    5. Click over the flash movie, the window title becomes "#abc"
    so, a part from "historyManagementEnabled" and "Enable integration browser navigation"... any other ideas?
    I'm using Internet Explorer 7 and Flash Player 10.0.45.2
    thanks,
    Marc

  • Changing Window title programmatically

    I'd like to change the Windows title of a 10g Form whenever the user moves to a different canvas. I know I can change the title with the Set_Window_Property built-in but how can I detect when the canvas has changed?

    Why don't you want to use the When-Mouse-Click trigger ?Maybe the user can use Tab to navigate to a new canvas. And blocks can be split over 2 canvases, so when-new-block might not work either.
    A form-level when-new-item-instance trigger which reads the canvas property of the item would probably solve the problem. It's a bigger overhead that you need but it's uncomplicated programming.

  • How to Change the Windows Title in EP7.0

    Hi
    Can anyone provide some pointers on how to change the windows title bar in EP 6.0
    We would like to remove the words "SAP Netweaver Portal" from the title.
    I have found OSS note  695903 however this refers to EP6.0
    Thanks in advance.
    Ian

    Hi,
    For people who have no access to the note, here are the steps involved. The same steps are listed in the note :
    1) Logon to your portal with your user who has super_admin role.
    2) Go to the System Administration tab -> System Configuration tab.
    3) Go to the Service Configuration -> Central Configuration.
    4) Change the portal.html.head.title part. Do no forget to save the changes you made.
    5) Restart the j2ee server to be able to see the changes on the portal

  • Changing the text "SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0" in the browser window title

    Hi,
    I want to change the standard browser window title from "SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0" to my clients company name.
    Has anyone done this before?
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance
    Padmamr

    Hi,
    To change the name of the browser:
    System Administration > System Configuration > Service Configuration > Portal Runtime > Central Configuration.
    Scroll down to: portal.html.head.title
    and change to required name of your company.
    Also, if you goto System Administration > System Configuration > UM Configuration > Direct Editing.
    Here you will find a host of UME controls for logging on and logging off the Portal. You can change images etc... from here.
    Remember to restart the Portal and components for changes to take affect.
    Cheers

  • No option to change Window Title Bar Font in gnome-tweak-tool

    Hey there,
    did a fresh install today on a Haswell-PC. But there's no option to change Window Title Bar Font in gnome-tweak-tool anymore? All the other options are there.
    Is there a way to set the Window Title Bar Font elsewhere? Does someone know why this option was removed or is it due to my system somehow? I also don't see this option in the dconf-editor.
    Gnome 3.8, all the latest updates, Intel Core i5 with Intel HD 4600 Graphics
    Thanks,

  • Changing the colour of the window title

    Hi guys, just a quick question, is it possible to change the background colour of the window title bar and if so where is it. Is it in the properties of the window or so?
    Just currently the text at the top of my window is barely visible because the background is a dark colour also
    Thanks.

    When you run the application it uses your operating system colours for the window title.

  • Changing the alignment of the window title in a jFrame...

    hi.
    is it possible to change the alignment of the window title in a jFrame from left to center / right?
    really appreciate your help on this one. tnx.

    read "dr_ness" posting here:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?forumID=57&threadID=353930
    You'll have to extend BasicRootPaneUI and use your custom root pane UI on your frame, so it always draws the title in the center.

  • Changing the Window title

    Hi,
    I am using forms 10g version and like to know if there is any possible way I can change the window title from,
    'http://192.168.x.x - Oracle Application Server Forms Services - Microsoft Internet Explorer'
    to other wordings ?
    I have tried to use, SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY(FORMS_MDI_WINDOW,TITLE,'New Title'); but not successful.
    My existing settings of formsweb.cfg are,
    [default]
    separateFrame=false
    [sepwin]
    separateFrame=True
    Thanks in advance.

    You're right - you'll use Javascript to make the change to the browser title, but you'll need a Java bean in your Form to make the call to that Javascript. I've posted some example code in an earlier thread on how to call Javascript from a Forms bean item:
    Re: How can a Javabean call Javascript function of the basejpi.html??
    I used a Javascript include file to include the following Javascript function (among others) in the html page that hosts the applet i.e. in our case, webutiljini.htm:
    function setWindowTitle(title)
    document.title=title;
    Hope that gives you the building blocks you need!

  • How to change the Window Title on a per build spec basis?

    I would like to be able to make 4 "build specificiations" against the same Startup-VI and be able to have the Window Title different in each of the output executables.   I know how to change the Window Title for the VI itself, but for some reason, I don't see the ability to override this information in Source File Settings --> Customize VI Properties dialog of the build specification.    Is there perhaps a way to do this programattically with VI server?  Perhaps there is a way I can define a unique symbol on each of the build specs and then do a case statement in code to determine which title to display based on the symbol that was defined?
    Thanks,

    You can use the appropriately named Window Title property. In your project you can define conditional disable symbols (right-click on the project node and select Properties) and then use a conditional disable structure in your code. However, these symbols apply to the entire project, not to a specific executable. Thus, a better route would be to use the executable name (also accessible via a property), if possible, or some other distinction between the executables. What makes the executables different?

  • Change Windows Title in run-time

    I can change windows title in File-->VI Properties--< Windows Title.
    I wish You write in a string box change the windows title. How can i made it?
    Thanks.

    GerdW,
    If you open a reference, and then, in a loop, change the title, there is no
    problem.
    But if you open a reference and change the title in a loop, you get problems
    when you don't close the reference. This does not happen when you don't use
    the Open VI Reference.
    The attached VI will hopefully clear things up...

    Wiebe.
