Flex with any ORM - Writing Model classes and action scripts redundant?

Hi,
I am using Hibernate with Flex. I have all my model classes
as POJOs. Now if i have to access these POJOs directly from flex, I
need to write action script reference classes for all my POJO model
classes. Since mapping POJOs with action script reference classes
is so mechanical, i am wondering if there is any tool to read all
the properties from the POJO's and convert them to action script
reference classes automatically. Is there any way that this can be
automated?

If you use Granite Data Services, there's something called
"gas3" (I think is the name). You may be able to use it even if you
don't use Granite.
I didn't care for learning how to use it (plus it uses
Groovy, more needless stuff to learn I guess), so I can't say how
well it works. I just wanted a simple custom ant task that
generates ActionScript classes for my Java classes. So I ended up
making my own. It's definitely not trivial but it's not that hard
if you're very good with Java and reflection.

JNDI lookup couldn't find any objects in MBean class and -userThreads issue

We had used some MBean classes in a jboss j2ee project. Now we need to migrate it to oc4j. We also need to use Thread class and jndi looking up in these MBean classes.
I encountered two problems when I migrate these MBeans.
1. The first problem is:
If I create a InitialContext object just like the following:
InitialContext result = new InitialContext();
Then I lookup an ejb,I can't find anything from this InitialContext.
However,If I create a InitialContext object just like below:

Microphone hears music with any speakers off?? And random issu

Hi I'm new to this forum and since I didn't really get the answer to my question in most of the pages, I'll just ask for help in my own thread. Anyways!
There's lots of text coming up, so if you don't feel like reading it all (shame on you), just read what I marked with an arrow. What's an arrow? -> Just read.
So I got myself a X-Fi Xtreme Music few days ago, it's awesome and all, but yeah, that is so not the case when trying to plug my headset on the pc.
My old pc didn't have a soundcard so I got used to plug the headset to the front jacks and no problem, the microphone only recorded the sounds it was able to find flowing in the air. Ya know, waves and stuff. Now, with this new comp, I still do have front audio/mic jacks, but no sound! Geez I had to find out that I actually had to plug them onto the soundcard on the back of my PC. So yeah now everytime I try to plug them in I need to move like a ninja to get to the back of the PC. Table, cables and stuffs, ya know.
Tried installing the onboard sound driver to get at least sound from the front jack, but yeah. Success = 0 (its uninstalled now).
-> . Any way to get the front jack working without all these tedious tasks?
Okay that's the first problem. Now I got my headset on the soundcard after lots of effort, nice sound, microphone works, cool. But yeah today I went into teamspeak and people were telling me, "Darnit, I keep hearing myself in your headphones!!!"
How so, I am on headphones, I am not talking, my mic shouldn't send you anything!! What's the matter!!
"Yeah and I hear all your sounds and all, even the music you're playing on winamp!!"
Geez. He's right. I'm now in my own TS server and indeed, the microphone sends any sound ranging from speech to system sounds. It's like I'm having my microphone against the speakers, just that there are no speakers! No wonder anyone can hear any of my system sounds!!! And believe me I have tried messing with many options and I keep getting the same results. Heck, anything gets through with any speakers disabled, total silence in the room!!
Control panel. Output volume to 0, oh, yeah! The microphone only sends the sounds that it gets from outside, as I know it from any computer. Noone hears anything else than what I speak... including me! Obviously, since sound output is set to 0 lol. Meaning, from now on I'm doomed to play my games without sound but then at least I can talk properly in Teamspeak? Oh sorry not only on TS but for any applications the microphone is used.
-> 2. Any way to set the microphone so that it does NOT get the output sounds and ONLY what comes from outside, meaning, speech, random noise in my room, etc. Please do NOT tell me that the issue is hardware-bound and thus not possible. I would immediately get rid of this sound card cuz it's definitely a shame.
Sorry I am a bit in an bad mood since I got lots of complaints today because of this matter, and I simply can't find a rational way to fix the problems. Thanks for your quick answers. Well Jason: I forgot to specify that I already did all of that when I tried finding a solution to my problem in other threads. I spent lots of time trying all those different options out, but, no improvement whatsoever.
Yet I'll try one more time again, maybe it all needed a reboot. Who knows, M$ often contributes to this kind of failure as well...
No I just tried again, that doesn't work. Anything still gets through to the microphone. I don't know what to do

My lenovo b450 can't install with any windows include win 7 and xp

i was hard to install with windows 7 again after i install with windows xp to my laptops, and then i have problems with install another windows version. its hard to believe that all operating system installation for my b450 is stop before sucessfuly install to my laptops.
are this about bios or about formating my Hard drive?

Further checks reveal that my wife's Win 8.1 laptop and my Surface RT tablet are both unable to access the Samba share either... but are able to map the share to a network drive showing the free disk space.
Seems like a Windows 8.1 issue to me now... M$ where are you!!!

Help with Web Service and Action Script

Buttons and Action script 3

I have purchased Flash CS3 and have created a small
animation. I would like the user to press the button in order for
the animation to play. With the previouse version of flash I would
drag the button onto the stage open the action script window and
start entering the script e.g. on(release){gotoandPlay(5);}
However with the new version I cannot write scripts for the
buttons.... I am confused or am I missing something? Please help me

you're missing actionscript3. and if you don't care to learn
and use it, just use the actionscript2 publish settings and use

What is happening is that when Department class is instantiated into an object, Courses gets
instantiated into a object too within Department.
var dept = new Department();
It means that Courses can be addressed/accessed immediately within Department, because it got instantiated when Department was instantiated.
dept.Courses.Add(Course);
Without Courses object being instantiated within Department's constructor, then you would have to instantiate the Courses object outside of the Department object before you could address/access the Courses
object within the Department object.

dept.Courses = new HashSet<Course>();
The second class example you show assumes that Courses was instantiated at some point to be an object in the Department object in code outside of the Department class.
The first class example has Courses instantiated as an object within Department and ready to go when Department object is instantiated, and the second example is you had better at some point in code outside of the Department object instantiate Courses as
an object within the Department object, because otherwise, it's object not set to an instance of an object error when you try to address Department.Courses.

Issue with close() method of BufferedReader class and FileInputStream class

I have written the following code to a text file, called hello,txt from Windows. Everything works fine but I am trying to figure out whether calling of close() method of aforemetioned class is appropriate or necessary thing to do.
Here are the questions:
1. Is it necessary to call close method in this senario? And why? [it seems to me that everything gets cleaned up automatically anyways at the end of each call to the method when called from main()]
2. If the answer for No.1 is yes, then in which order each close method should be called? Or, does the order of calling close method matter anyways?
3. Is the reason for why in No.1 is that because calling close method on each object is a necessary step to do when dealing with mutli-thread?

Package distribution frequently failing with Failed to get object class and CSendFileAction::AddFile failed; 0x800706ba

Dear Experts,
Frequently I see packages that are being transferred over WAN links failing with the below posted error.
We're running SCCM 2012 SP1, the DP's are rate limited and firewalled.
Some applications end up on the DP's fine (even OS images), some don't. When they don't, the issue is non-recoverable, even if I retry it 100 times the error will remain the same while other applications do distribute properly. This seems like there can't
be a firewall issue at play. Logs on the DP's do not show any errors.

0x800706ba = "The RPC server is unavailable."
This is often associated with some sort of network connectivity issue but is very hard to track down without watching the traffic because there is no way to know why traffic didn't make it.
Generally, it is also associated with WMI communication so it's possible that WMI is having issues or is being blocked on the destination system.
If this is happening sporadically on the same DP for the same content but works for other content, that would indicate to me that some type of network filter or security mechanism is in place that has for some reason decided that that content should not
be allowed. This is pure speculation though.
Do you happen to have a WAN accelerator in place or something else that is supposed to help, scan, or filter traffic? If so, this is where you should concentrate your investigation and exclude ConfigMgr traffic from interference.

Is GTX 970 compatible with any Adobe Software, specially Premiere and After Effects?

I going to buy my first custom pc and people told me to buy the Asus GTX 970 because it´s really good.
When i went to the Adobe requirements, they said that is not compatible with the software.
Should i buy another graphic card? Because i don´t wanna buy something that will not work!

The GTX has not been tested by the Premiere Pro team so it is not 'officially supported'. That does not mean that the card won't work it just means we haven't had the opportunity to run test on it yet. With that said, I've heard very good things about the card.

Developing ios/android game using flash and action script

I'm completely new to this, I have done a bit of research about using flash to create ios/android apps, but one thing really confuses me is,
should I create my game in flash lite or in air? I know swf format will not be supported, so i will leave that one out...
If using air format you need to install the air application in your iphone or andriod devices before the game can be played?
Is it possible not to use air for apps development using flash?
Since it is somehow non-user friendly as users were prompt to download and extra application before any game can be played...

You want to use AIR not FlashLite - for iOS the end user doesn't need to install the AIR runtime, on Android they will however. But it's painless...
You don't need AIR for apps in Flash, but you do need to publish using AIR if going to iOS or Android.
Be sure to get AIR 2.7 and copy it over 2.6 - CS 5.5 installs with 2.6 which runs much slower on iOS, than does 2.7

Buttons and Action Script 3 in Flash CS4

Hi, I am new to Flash. I am working on creating a photo gallery and I am having an issue trying to figure out how to add AS3 code to link buttons to a point in a timeline. I have 5 buttons each with an alpha transparency change that works fine and now I want to establish an action on each button that on CLICK will bring up a particular photo in my timeline. Help! I can't tell you what is involved with bringing up a photo on your timeline, but to code a button to do something, first you assign it an instance name via the properties panel. Let's say you name it btn1.
Then, normally in layer dedicated to actionscript, in the same frame as that button you assign an event listener and an event handler to go with it...

btn1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, btn1Handler);
For that example it shows how to have the button make things move to a different frame in the timeline.
