Flow help

Hi all,
I had created a executable program in ABAP. The flow is like it has two radio buttons and some input fields. The user can select the radio button and key in some input values y which a transaction is called the initial screen is skipped and the output shown.
But when he clicks on the back button the screen takes him to the transaction page but not to the first screen.

its because of the way that particular transaction is coded. some transaction with the click of the back button will take to the initial screen and some will come out of the transaction and go to the calling application.
you dont have control over it.

Cover Flow Help, please!

I'm having trouble with "cover flow" on my new macbook air (and had the same problem with my old macbook). I view my old photos in "cover flow" format in finder, but it has stopped working properly. The photos are all pixely and don't reflect rotations I've saved. It worked properly on my old macbook for years, then stopped, and I don't think it's ever worked properly on my new one. Here's an example:

Got it - just sync adding/removing music and cover flow now works. And wait 2 secs when you hit Albums before tilting for Cover Flow.

Cover Flow help

Cover Flow when on the Music tab is squished at the top of the screen. On the Movies and TV Show tabs it is fine. I need help figuring out why.

Try unchecking "display album artwork" in the music preferences section when your iPod is connected and click "apply". Then sync your iPod.
Then check "display album artwork" in the music preferences section when your iPod is connected and click "apply". Then sync your iPod again.
This should resync the album artwork to the iPod.
If this does not work, you might need to restore the iPod and reload the songs in order to correct this error.

Bounded-Task-Flow Page Fragment Control Flow Help

I am having an issue trying to figure out the correct way to use control flow cases between a bounded-task-flow with page fragments and an unbounded-task-flow page. We have taken the approach in our application to have a few shell / container pages to host bounded-task-flows made up of page fragments to facilitate re-usability and to speed up development. There are 4 or 5 shell pages on the applications unbounded-task-flow. As of now, we have about 20 page fragments that are implemented as bounded-task-flows. These fragments don't do much now, meaning there is only a single fragment in each bounded-task-flow. The issue I am having is trying to invoke a control flow navigation action from one of the fragments to load a different shell page.
For Example, shellPage1.jspx contains fragment-flow-1 as a region. In my adfc-config.xml I have shellPage1.jspx and shellPage2.jspx, with control flow cases "toShell1" and "toShell2" respectively connecting the two pages. I have a link's action bound to the "toShell2" within the fragment that makes up fragment-flow-1. When the application is run, shellPage1.jspx and its fragment are displayed. But clicking on the link in the fragment ("toShell2") does absolutely nothing. It does not navigate me to the shellPage2.jspx as expected. What am I doing wrong here or do not understand?
If the fragment is included as a JSP include, and not a bounded task flow include, everything works as expected. This is not desirable as we then need to copy the fragment's pageDef into the shellPage's pageDef to get the DataControls to function.
If the faces-config.xml is used instead, and a JSF navigation case is used, it will also work as expected. This is not desirable because we really don't want to be mixing adcf-config and faces-config.
So I am really stumped here.... Thanks in advance!

In your case, the adfc-config.xml has the control flow case between shell pages. And the task-flow-N.xml or your-task-flow.xml for each page fragment by default doesn't inherit control flow case from their containing shell page. In your case, in the page fragment task-flow.xml, you should add a "Parent Action" to flow to shell page2 for example. The outcome of "Parent Action" would be "toShell2" if calling from ShellPage1 page fragment.

Dear All,
I am new to Portal application development by using Weblogic 8.1 I have read the
docs and I did simple page flow example. But when i start looking the requirement,
it is having basic login screen contains Home page of website. Once the user login
for example employee or manager, it should show the user specific content. In
this case the functionality of both user are altogether different. So I have created
Three portal
1.Login Portal -- Login screen
2.Empolyee Portal -- Employee Functionality
3.Manager Portal -- Manager Functionality
I would like to know how to link these three pages by using page flow or provide
me any document. Document provided by weblogic is not sufficient.... please help
me...

IPOD TOUCH - podcasts=crash- Cover art mixed up- Cover Flow HElp

I have a 2nd Gen Ipod Touch - Best thing ever =)
but I have a couple of problems that may have been adressed before
but -
1. When I play NOVA VODCAST| PBS podcasts ( only certain ones) like Brain Trauma or Stem cell Or SAVING HUBBLE The ipod shows -- random white dots then it crashes and takes quite a bit of time to reboot -Are you guys getting the same thing?
2.Why can't I delete songs?
3. I have a video on my ipod but the cover art for it is from some other TV shoe I got from itunes but then deleted. Only for 1 video , odd
4. When I go to Cover flow - certian albums just dissapear when they're at the center however they appear. Also in cover songs are listed under the album but cerrtian songs when played dont display the album
5. The time changes whenever I sync- Its annoying _ anything other than opening itunes beforehand ?

It's because iTunes is a piece of crap! Corrupt album art for cover flow has been a big problem for the longest time....and Apple WON'T fix it! In a earlier version of iTunes (ver 8 I think), there was a setting that people found out would fix the artwork if it got mixed up (I think it was the "sync artwork" checkbox but I am not sure). With version 9 however, Apple, in all it's infinite wisdom, decided to remove this option and now the only way to fix this issue is to RESTORE!! And that is completely B.S!! I am getting so sick and tired of this crap! I added a album (WOW....10 whole songs), and now every one of my 105 albums are showing the wrong artwork! Apple needs to remove this "database" bullsh** and go back to reading the info DIRECTLY from the tags.

Work flow help - forward a date field by a specified call frequency

Hi There, I have a 'Last Call Date' field and a 'Call Frequency' picklist with values 'Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly'. I would like to forward another field called 'Next Call Date' according to the call frequency chosen.
Is it also possible to automatically create a task to make that 'Next Call' and populate my calendar?

It won't do what you want it to do, the task due date will only forward from the date the workflow ran. But i do vaguely remember finding in the help files somewhere a way to add to a date. So you could possibly create a new field called forward call date and have the workflow update this date with last call date + x days.
I found this in the help file under Expression Builder - Today ()
Today's date and time (for example, 01/02/08 11:15:22).
It is possible to perform calculations with date-time fields in
calculated fields. When a number is entered in a date-time
field, days are represented by integers; hours, minutes and
seconds are represented by fractions.
For example, to add one minute to the current date and
time, use the following expression, which is derived from
the fact that one day has 1440 minutes:
Timestamp() + 1/1440
Can't help any more than this as I've not tried to add to a date field, maybe someone else has another idea?

Major yearbook picture flow help! PLEASE RESPOND SOON!?

Ok so we are doing our year book and we figured out how to do the merged data file with microsoft exel and then place the photos in our yearbook page... what we are wanting to learn how to do now is instead of having like 6 rows of 5 photos how could we do it to take out 2 pictures on the 1 and second row so we could have 4 on the first two rows then 6 on the other 3 rows.. that way we could place survey results in the blank area and other things? Hope I explained that good enough! Thanks for all of you help!

A picture is worth a thousand words, and your numbers don't quite square up. Attach a picture.
It sounds like you want to have two rows of 4 and then three rows of 6, and then what? Is that it for the page? On to the next page the same way?
You could just merge 24 seperate fields.
Or you could pad your spreadsheet with 2 blanks in each of the first two rows, and then delete the blank boxes after you run the merge.
I think I would probably do the latter. That just turns it into an Excel problem.
If you want to solve this with InDesign scripting, well...there's no control over the internals of data merge. You can use it to change around
your document after (or before) the merge is complete, but that doesn't sound like an efficient approach here. (So your post is probably better off in the main forum, oh well.)

User Defined Activity Process Flow Help

I'm trying to create a process flow that will rename a file. I'm using the User Defined Activity, but I've ran into a couple problems. First some background info, Oracle 10G is the DB, and it's ran on a Unix system, the Oracle user account does have read/write access to the directories used.
For the Activity Parameters I've set

in the command section, I've tried every possible thing I can think of from : /usr/bin/ksh, /bin/ksh, ksh, /bin/bash, made a script outside owb with the same thing, and pointed it at that and still all I get is "/bin/bash: not found" or "/usr/bin/ksh: not found"
Ideas/suggestions, I'm open to anything.
As a side note I tried to do it with UTL_FILE, but I was informed by our DBA that it was disabled for security, so that's out.

What type of execution is configured for user defined activity (this type is defined in file Runtime.properties on server side, available types for UDA - SCHEDULER or NATIVE_JAVA)?
For SCHEDULER type ask your DBA about Uinux user used for executing external jobs (usually nobody user used with very limited rights - maybe this user doesn't have rights for executing any program/scripts).

Hard drive, backup, work flow help

Hi--
I need some help figuring out what to do....You can tell I have a little bit of knowledge but am now dangerous.
I have a Mac Book Pro with approx 111.47 GB full and 815 available. I have 250 external portable filled with my iphoto stuff. I know I need more space. I use my computer for graphic design so my file sizes are often quite high.
I work in my home office mostly.
I also like to work in my family room (wirelessly using ATT-Uverse 2wire) and think I have router to plug in via ethernet to other computers and my printer. It is a pain to drag the portable HD along so I don't always use it.
I need a solution to give me more HD space....
Should I upgrade my internal hard drive? How do I do this? What do I do with my data?
Do I buy another bigger external hard drive? Can I work wirelessly so I don't have to drag this everywhere?
I also have purchased timecapsule when it first came out, but have no idea how I should use it (still in box)
I also travel and work away from home and need access to my files sometimes.
On old my desktop computer I had it setup with 2 external drives (one as extra space and one where my desktop backed up to the other external)--that seemed to work okay--but now all of these are full.
HELP!!!
Additionally, when I'm in my office, I want to hook up to a larger monitor when I'm at my desk. How do I do this?

It sounds as though you have a drive with a nominal capacity of 120GB (actual capacity as reported by Leopard, about 112GB), and it's 99% full. That's a recipe not just for slowness and inconvenience, but for disaster. At any moment your operating system and/or applications may run completely out of places for the data they need to squirrel away temporarily in the course of normal operations, with the result that apps will quit without warning or the computer will freeze, crash, or kernel panic — losing whatever unsaved files are open, perhaps damaging the hard drive directory, and perhaps as a result of that damage, losing data that was securely saved before.
You need to maintain a bare minimum of 10GB of free space at all times on a drive that size. More is better. You will want to delete at least 10GB of files from it ASAP, preferably before you use it to do any more work you can't afford to lose. OS X is very good about tolerating a less-than-optimal working environment, but you have its tolerance stretched to the breaking point right now. Don't make it snap.
The fact that your drive is only 120GB indicates that you have an older, non-unibody MBP. If that's true, you can't put a 750GB hard drive inside it, but you can still use a 640GB or 500GB drive. The installation is more difficult than installing in one of the unibody machines to which this group of forums is devoted, but you can still do it yourself if you're reasonably handy. Identify your MBP for us by processor speed, display size, and its Model Identifier (from the System Profiler utility app), and we'll be able to provide a link to DIY drive replacement instructions for it. Given the work habits you describe, replacing your undersized internal hard drive would still be the best first step for you to take, even if you have to pay a technician to install the new drive.

Work Flow Help

Hi,
I'm working on a project and need to know what a good
approach is.
I have about 50 videos.
There will be a main main and several sub menus.
The sub menu options will take the users to a page that
displays a video to one side and then text on the other.
The text will change during the video, as there will be too
much to fit it all on screen at one time.
I have someone working with me who will be giving me the text
in a swf file.
What is the best way of making this project?
I was thinking that, since each page will have a video and
text in the same dimensions. I would pass on the name of the video
and swf file from the menu button on to a new movie clip?
Sorry, I don't have that great a grasp of action script. I'm
just looking for a way to do it that doesn't mean making a seperate
movie for each bit of video+text.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Not looking to
get work done for me, just a point in the right direction.

I am not great with AS either but there are times that we
just have to
dive into that because it is the only way :)
I would create an xml file with all the video data. Something
like:

<video id=0>
<title> This is my Video 1</title>
<description> This is the text for each
video</description>
</video>
<video id=1>
<title> This is my Video 1</title>
<description> This is the text for each
video</description>
</video>
</data>
Then read about how to load an xml in Flash. This is a very
common task
so there are lots of resources available an a few ways of
doing i. AS3
uses something called E4x which makes "navigating" through
the xml
easier than before.
So just play with trying to trace the information inside the
xml in the
output window .. once you have the hang of that, you can
start to build
your app.
I would convert all the videos to flv using the included
encoder that
comes with flash. Save all of them where your swf will live.
On layer 1, frame 1 you could have your menu bar movie clip
or you can
use the menu bar component to save you time
On layer 2 all you need is an instance of the flv playback
component and
next to it a text field component that can have a scrollbar
to fit all text.
The AS script would "bind' the data "video id" to each of
your menu
options and once that is clicked, call a function that
updates the
components on layer 2 with the new loaded video and text.
There are many ways of doing this but this is how I would do
it :) I
like using components because most of the code is already
available so
you dont need to re write, you just need to know how to
"talk" to them.

Hi,
It is possible to create an order in the future data. However, to regularise the options in Sales order for Delivery date and Pricing date, please go to doc. type config. using T.Code VOV8 and select the order type. Down there you can see a section for " Requested delivery data/pricing date/purchase order date". You can manipulate using the options there - whether or not you want a delivery date to be proposed in your sales order & also if you want to have the delivery date as the pricing date as well - i think this should meet your requirement.

Deleting Album Art Work

I recently added some album art to some songs. I actually want to change the art I put on a song/group of songs/album. How can I do this i have tried numerous things and nothing. When i drag in a new piece of art into the window at the bottom left it does nothing to cover flow.

First, select all of the songs you wish to change the artwork to (hold down Command while selecting when choosing multiple songs). If you want to do change artwork for an entire album-select it in the browser window (to show the browser window, Command+B).
Second, Command+I (Info), answer yes-you do want to change info for the entire album.
+(If you want to change art for an individual song, select the song and Command+I. Hit the artwork tab, select the existing artwork (if there is any) and delete it. Then choose add. A dialogue/browser-box will open to allow you to navigate to the desired picture file. Click OK.)+
Third, drag art into the box located in the middle-right section of the info panel, then hit OK.

DB of eBus SE

I don't know if this is the right place to post this thread.
I received eBus Standard Edition from Oracle partners in Dubai.
eBus SE is a pre-configured instance of OA for Linux.
I found out that the DB is NOT in Archivelog mode.
Do you have any idea why? or if there are any symptoms in changing it to Archive mode

In general, if a fan is too loud you have to replace it. But you can stop it from running at full speed, either by BIOS or by a program.
On top of that, you can by way a good air-flow help the situation, making everything cooler.
