FLV video ends opens new swf

I imported a FLV (progressive download) into flash.
At the end of the video I need a new swf to open.
I've been searching for the action script to do this with no
luck.
If someone could point me in the right direction I'd really
appreciate it.

If you imported as a progressive download, you probably used
some skin for the FLVPlayback component. Give this component an
instance name (cpVideo) in this example and use an event listener
to tell you when the video is finished.

No FLV video in a linked SWF?

I’ve got an FLV video linked to an external SWF (a substage) that is itself linked to another SWF (the main stage) The FLV plays fine if I publish and run the substage independently but when the substage is loaded into the main stage at runtime I lose the video, all the other screen elements from the substage work fine. I thought it might be a path issue so I hardcoded a fully qualified URL as the video source with the same results; works independently, fails when loaded into the main stage at run time. Anyone know what’s going on? Thanks.
Flash CS5/AS3 using the video player component.

The FLV is linked to tutorial.swf via the standard video playback component. The video and tutorial swf are in the same directory, optimally the video should be linked with a relative path but a fully qualified URL is an option.
Tutorial.swf is loaded at runtime into the main swf using a standard loader class script. The main swf is in the parent directory of the tutorial & video directory (ie: it’s up one level).
Tutorial.swf loads properly into the main swf and plays audio & animations, the only thing it doesn’t show is the video, no error is thrown.
I’ve just discovered that I haven’t really tested the fully qualified URL option, my server didn’t have flv set as a valid mime type. If that works I’ll take it and move on, but I’d much rather a simple relative link.
flv -(video playback component)-> tutorial.swf -(loader class script)-> main.swf

Hi,
I have a FLV video that is linked from my SWF file (It plays inside a flvplayback component in my movie). I'd like the flv to zoom (as it's playing) when the User mouses over it. Is that possible? I've been able to 'Create a Motion Tween' on it so that it plays in editing mode but when I preview it, the flv just stays the same size.
I've been doing this zooming with symbols/shapes (using the 2d-zoom motion preset) but I'm wondering how I would do this on a flv. I need the video to be playing as the transform changes so I can't just zoom an image that looks like the video and then swap it for the real video when it gets actual size.

Every each click on mp3, audio, video, photo open new window...

i have problem with my KDE, when i open some folder with for example music... i have 100 track, and click on any one, KDE open window of player, good... but when i click on other file, KDE open NEW window of player, don't use currently open window but open new, same problem i have with video and photo files, and this not confortable to use because all the time i have to close first existing window of player before click on other file... maybe someone know how i can fix this problem ??

its not work, same problem, dosent meter about player... in GNOME its fine, but only in KDE the problem existing.

How to detect end of FLV Video - and then call another web page?

I'm using Flash CS3 v9 on a PC to...
- use File > Import an AVI video and convert it to an FLV video.
- use File > publish to publish it.
- Then upload the four files...
.. MyVideo.flv
.. MyPage.html,
.. MyPage swf
.. AC_RunActiveContent.js
to my website.
Works Great!
My Question:
Since Javascript seems to run the .swf file which pays the .flv video... (or some such)
Can I use Javascript (or html) to tell when the FLV Video has finished playing...
And then automatically call another webpage...
If so would someone be kind enough to share a code sample with me to get me quick started.

I'm using the defaults in Flash CS3 ver9.
I'm not creating any action script myself.
I open Flash and select from the Flash menuio options...
"Create New Flash File (Action Script 3.0)"
I then File | Import my AVI video to convert it to an FLV video...
and choose the player options for controls, etc
and then punch through the menu's until Flash finally imports the video.
I then "Publish" the project to the the 4 files mentioned in my initial posting.
So, I think the answer to your question is...
Yes, I'm using the default Flash playback component to play the flv
and yes, I'm letting Flash default to CS3 even though I'm not writing the code... Flash is.

How do you get a link to open a flash flv video?

I'm trying to get a link to launch a flash flv video. I need
it to open only about as large as the video itself which is
320/240(a little larger is no big deal. I don't want to have to
embed it into a 1040pix wide page. When I link it, the video is
blown up to 1040pix wide & just a little distorted!

Hi, I'm trying to create a page where you click on the video thumbnail and the video opens up in its own window. I'd like the video to open at a specific size that I determine, not the browser, and I want it to be scalable. if you are using AS2
try GG jsWindow v2 component
you can open a popup window with no tollbar,statusbar,menubar, and specified width and height of the window.

The "Use custom settings for history" setting allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting that setting doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.

You can set the pref browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent to false on the about:config page.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold (user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default via the right-click context menu if they are user set
*Preferences can be changed via the right-click context menu: Modify (String or Integer) or Toggle (Boolean)

Video thumbnail opens in new tab automatically

When visiting some websites with video thumbnails, including Google Mail and Startribune.com, Firefox will sporadically open a new tab with the video thumbnail.
This happens as a new Gmail message or as the website loads. It happens in safe mode as well as with extensions enabled. The problem cannot be reliably replicated even with identical URLs.

On the page is just the thumbnail-sized video.

Do you use earthlink (esp webmail)? I figured out that it is a problem with an ad they are running. At least that's what it was for me. If you log completely out of webmail and shut safari down and restart it without going to earthlink webmail, the teebik popups do not come back (even with a lot of browsing to multiple other sites).
I installed the adblocker extension and so far that is taking care of it -- was able to turn things back on to get webmail functionallity back, without the teebik ads.
Not sure that's what Earthlink WANTED me to do -- as I no longer see ANY earthlink ads -- but hey, it got rid of the teebik stuff they were forcing on me.

to convert a swf file to avi or mov you need a third party
application to accomplish that, there are few of those google it.
In case you want to export a .fla animation to a video
format, just go to File -> Export -> and select the
appropriate container (avi, mov) change the output settings on the
dialog box and you're ready to go.
