FM 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE' Problem ..
i use the FM 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE' .
My only and strange problem is that when i execute the report i take the notification that i must save my excel file !!!!
I don't open the file for writing !!!! Look my code to see what happens ...

Reading Excel data, FM: ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE problem

I'm using function module ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE, to read content of MS excel file and then I'm uploading those data into SAP. I'm facing probably performance problems within this module. My Excel file has 22000 rows and my ABAP program ends with short dump: MESSAGE_TYPE_X - Control Framework : Error processing control. Error occurs in function module AC_SYSTEM_FLUSH there is an exception raised:
method_call_error: MESSAGE ID 'CNDP' TYPE 'X' NUMBER 006 RAISING CNTL_ERROR.AC_SYSTEM_FLUSH
Could it be that it has something to do with the performance of exchanging data between application server and front-end?
I've noticed that FM: ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE is reading excel file via windows clipboard (it selects whole range of workbook then it copies to clipboard). Does anybody know something more about this technique?

I went through the function module ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE .
With this function it is not possible to download more than 9999 records from the excel sheet.
This is so because :
The return table is type ALSMEX_TABLINE
and the fields rows and columns are numc with maximum length 4 due to which its not working.
This is all what I could find there might be another way of doing it.
Just let me also know if u find another way of doing it.

Problems using ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE in Web Dynpro ABAP
Hello experts, im using the fm ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE.
When i call this fm from a web dynpro i have a dump that says that cannot import the clipboard.
Any ideas why this is happening?
(The parameter of the function are Ok, becouse if I call the function from SAP/R3 everything work fine)

I didn't mean to imply that there is a Function Module that should work from Web Dynpro. In fact I would be highly suprised if there was one. As already posted in this forum, the only way to get data from the client desktop is with the fileUpload UI element. No function module is going to be able to work with the Web Dynpro UI element. -

Open and Close Dataset problem
Hi All,
I am facing a weird problem in transferring data to application server.
I have used Open dataset to write my file in text format to the application server.
Now everything works fine when small amount of data is there.When the number of records increases and when it takes lot of time , the format of the text file is completely distorted.
I have used tab as the delimiter. Please suggest me some solution for this.
Is this due to the time taken?

Serious Performance Problems in ABAP Reports
Hi All,
We are developing ABAP reports for SAP IS-U/CCS Modules and facing Performance issues.Whole scenario is given below.Please suggest some solution.
1. Total No. Of Business Partners = 1500000
2. Reports Selection Criteria are of two types:
a) GSBER(Business Area) - Selection for atleast 200000 Business Partners
b) Cokey(Division) - Selection for around 1000 to 50000 Business Partners
3. For implementing our reports logic we have to access several tables all of which are very large.They are :

4. Due to large no. of records we are facing problems at two levels:
a) OpenSQL Statement is taking too much time for data selection
b) Since large no. of records are selected Corresponding loops and data processing also takes much time
5. We have tried almost all ABAP Performance optimization techniques such as using Index, SQL optimization techniques,Read Table Optimization, Loop Statement Optimization etc. but there is not much improvement.
6. For example one of our Reports "R15" takes around 1500 seconds for 1000 Business Partners.

I have done recording for uploading of the documents for printing of the cheques, using FBZ5 to code. now the problem is it is not picking up the items continuously one after the other and at the same time the cheques are not printing. what could be the problem and the code is given below. Problem creating Purchase Order with Bapi_po_create Return Message is ""
Hello everybody
When I get to create PO with bapi_po_create . I get this message in the return parameter :"Enter the PURCH_ORG".
I think that I have implemented it very well but I don´t get the results that I was expected : No PO was created.

Double quotes problem while uploading tablimeited text file to internal tab
H all,
I am uploading excel data using GUI_UPLOAD function module by converting excel to tab delimited text format.
Problem is Material AB" is converted to "AB" " " material in tabdelimited text format.
Can anybody give solution to problem?
Is it possible to upload excel file directly using GUI_UPLOAD function module?
I can not use 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE' and 'TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP'
as i want to upload upload fields of length 3000 cahrs and these function module uploads fields of only 256 chars.

Uploading Excel file using 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE'
Hi,
I am uploading excel file into an internal table using 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE' FM.
but I'm getting a popup with the message
'There is a large amount of the information on the clipboard. Do you want to be able to paste this information into another programme later.' and there are three buttons in the popup 'YES', 'CANCEL' and 'NO'. but for any choice there is no data in the internal table.
the progrsm is working in other systems but giving problem in customer laptop, can you please tell me is there any settings need to set for EXCEL or SAP.
