FM to close GANTT Chart in ECC6.0 Version

Hi all,
We are currently handling an Upgrade Project from 4.6C to ECC6.0.
We find that GRAPH_DIALOG function module is obsolete and it is showing waring. Request you to suggest nice solution.
Please find relevant code for your better understanding:

  • Gantt chart- How to change the color of time bars of different versions

    Hi All,
    My Client wants to see all changes in planning schedule. I made different versions of these changes but he also want to see all these changes in gantt chart and in different colors. I tried to change the color in planning board assistant but in this screen (CJ27/ CJ2B). we cannot view all versions together. And if I use CN41, there I cannot change the colors of time bars.
    Secondly, we can change colors of times bars of basic dates, forecast dates and actual dates but there is no provision to change the colors of schedule bars of different project versions. Kindly reply-
    1. How to see all project versions in CJ27 or How to customise bar chart in cn41 or if we change in SPRO, then how to change graphic profile in project info profile
    2. How to change colors of different time bars of different versions.
    3. How to mention these legends (meaning of each color in chart) at footer of gantt chart (in print outs)
    Please Help.
    Thanks & Regards
    Dinesh Chauhan

    Thanks,
    actually I've created new project planning board profile where planning board assistant is customized but unable to use this profile in CN41. we can change PS info profile in CN41 and that;s why I thought that planning board profile may be assigned somewhere in PS info profile so that changes in planning board assistant will be applied in CN41 through PS info profile. Graphic profile is too complex to understand and not sure if it will help to get colored time bars of projct versions in gantt chart. Still not clear.
    Secondly not able to see all versions (snap shots) in gantt chart with different colors of time bars.
    I mean planning board screen can be customized but we cannt see different versions here which are possible in CN41, but we cannt customize the gantt chart (time bars) in CN41. Pls help.
    Thx & Regards

  • Turning Off Gantt Charts in MS Project For PDF Gen

    hi
    we have run into a problem when printing Gantt charts with PDF Gen. They can be extremely slow and on following up with Support they have confirmed that this is an issue with Distiller and there is no fix soon. So to get around the issue we tried disabling Gannt charts in MS Project by un-checking Bars and shapes in Gantt views in 3-D' (Tools > Options, View tab) in MS Project
    Now we're finding LC does not always pick up the setting. What we have noticed is that sometimes when printing to PDF with the same file, on the same server via PDF Gen, Gantt charts will appear, and sometimes not. Occasionally, the MS Project file when printing Gantt charts will stall in the Adobe Printer Queue, LC will then start to get Stuck Threads in Weblogic, and basically become unstable.
    Upon further investigation we saw that LC will use the WINPROJ.exe if it is running to do the conversion, or start a new WINPROJ.exe process if none is running. Sometimes while starting the process we get the Gantt chart setting picked up, and sometimes not, and there is no particular pattern.
    We did a lot of digging with PROCMON to see if we could find if LC was picking up a Windows Registry entry for MS Project perhaps with a different user which did not have the Gannt chart turned off, but could not find one. Our conclusion was that sometimes LC has submitted the job before WINPROJ.exe is fully loaded and somehow the No Gantt charts option gets lost, though this is speculation based on observation of behaviour.
    Anyone know what is going on?

    Hi,
    We will get this issue reproduced in-house and see if we can provide a patch to address this problem. Prima facie this does not appear to be a bug in the product; rather it appears that MS Project might be "forgetting" this setting in some cases, or a similar setting (inside the file that is being converted) might override the application-wide setting.
    We will try to see if we can forcibly set this flag (through MS Project COM APIs) each time a MS Project file gets converted. If this works, we might be able to provide a patch.
    Meanwhile, can you let me know exactly what version of MS Office (with the service pack details, if any) that you are using?

    Dear All,
    I have an application utilizing <dvt:projectGantt> Project Gantt Chart. I have tested it in intergrated weblogic server and it is working correctly but when I deploy it in Production Weblogic server, error occurred with NullPointerException on the ViewObjImpl -- class not found exception. Dear Arun,
    The WLS server is the same for (integrated WLS and Production) . For JRF template I'm sure it is the same. I have deploy another application that used BC, and it work fine in production.

  • Gantt Chart - #DATA# value

    Hi All,
    I am using Oracle Apex version 4.2.2.00.11.
    I do have a gantt chart in one of my application and that is working fine, in this gantt chart we are not using any custom XML generation logic.
    Now we got another requirement from client, in this we are going for custom XML generation logic because of the nature of data.
    They do expect the similar chart which we have already, now my requirement is, how can i look at the XML generated in my first Gantt Chart? because the XML part contains the parameter as, #DATA# and this contains the answer am searching for.
    Can anyone please help me to pull out the XML generated(#DATA#) by Apex in my first chart?
    Thanks in advance.
    With Regards,
    Sakthi.

    Run you page in debug mode. Then automagically a link appears below your chart "Show XML". Click that one 'et voila' ....

  • APEX 4.0.2 Project Gantt Chart - Error Code: 2002 Message: Empty input

    Hi
    I have created a brand new page containing a Project Gantt Chart region. The Gantt chart is designed to track the progress of a job over time. The page has one chart series containing the following SQL.
    SELECT null LINK,
    stage NAME,
    rownum ID,
    null PARENT_ID,
    trunc(start_date) ACTUAL_START,
    trunc(completion_date) ACTUAL_END,
    decode(completion_date, null, 0, 100) PROGRESS
    FROM tracking
    WHERE job_reference = '889343'
    This SQL statement returns values from SQL Developer and from the SQL Workshop > SQL Commands from within APEX itself.
    The problem is that when I run the page the following error displays inside the region
    Category: 2000
    Error code: 2002
    Message: Empty input
    Environment Information
    Application Express 4.0.2.00.07. - Clean installation not upgraded from APEX 3
    Using Firefox 3.6.15
    Issue identical in IE
    DB version - Oracle Database 11g Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
    I'm really stuck so I hope someone can help me out. I really would appreciate it.
    Thanks
    Kylie

    Debug mode doesn't appear to have picked anything up that looks out of the ordinary to me or raises any alarm bells.
    This is the XML with a reduced number of records returned.

  • Interactive Gantt chart - how to receive updated XML after user changes

    Hello,

      </chart>
      </Graph>
      </SAPJNetData>
    Then I run my example application, press standard "Save" button in Gantt chart control.
    After that my XML in context changes, but it's incorrect. There is no <graph> tag at all - this tag should contain all significant parameters of the chart.
    The resulting XML below:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
    <SAPJNetData build="9295" date="04-Aug-2010 10:19:13" host="localhost" version="1.1247">

    <UserInterface href="/SAP/BC/WebDynpro/SAP/ZT_INV_WDR_TEST_GANTT/gantPR02P00086_3_ui.xml" version="1.0"/>
    <GraphGantt version="1.1247"/>
    </SAPJNetData>
    All the chart in fact has completely disappeared. There is nothing left but file header.
    The question: How to get XML with all user changes back from the Gantt chart control?

    Long time, hah..
    Anyways thanks to behave like a responsible person on SCN and taking care of your threads..

  • MS PPM 2013. May I hide the Gantt chart in Project Center

    Hi:
    I know that in previous versions of Project Server you can't hide de Gantt Chart, but in Project 2013?
    Thanks
    Pablo

    In all honesty I don't think that is likely to happen.  May I ask why you want to remove it?  As an alternative, you could set all of the bar colours to white, and that will in effect display nothing.

  • Issue in Pop-up behaviour within Gantt chart

    We use Jdeveloper 11.1.2.0 in creating multiple type of applications. We are stuck with one issue in Pop-up behavior in Gantt chart and needed your help. Any help in this will be highly appreciated. It seems that this was the known issue in 11.1.1.4 but not sure if this is resolved in current release of 11.1.2.0.
    Jdev Version: 11.1.2.0
    Control Used: Panel Tabbed, Gantt Chart (Project), ADF Popups and Dialog
    Scenario: We are having Panel Tab. One tab is having Gantt chart whereas second tab is having read-only Table. Gantt chart has pop-up window (Along with Dialog), which opens up on hovering one of the column.
    Issue: Gantt Chart and Popup works fine but pop-up gives error (Region not valid) when we click on second Tab and come back to the Gantt chart tab. Screenshots are attached for your reference.
    PS: I can see know issue at this link but did not see this in current release known issues.
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/relnotes-14-jan-11-261400.html#dvt2
    Many Thanks.
    Regards,
    Sachin G

    OK, I did't realise you were using adf faces.
    Quoting the Oracle WebCenter Framework documentation:
    "17.5.2.3 Oracle ADF Faces Guidelines
    The Oracle ADF faces guidelines are as follows:
    * Oracle ADF Faces client side implementation is not supported. One weakness of JSR 168 and WSRP 1.0 is that they do not account for portlets using client-side programming techniques, such as Ajax or hidden frames, for partial page rendering. As a result, all Oracle ADF Faces facilities that rely on client-side programming techniques do not work. These facilities include the following:
    o Oracle ADF Faces partial page refresh (PPR) facility
    o The client-rendered aspect of Oracle ADF Faces rich client components
    o Oracle ADF popups, <af:popup>, which fail to work because of their reliance on the PPR facility
    o The Oracle ADF Faces SelectText, SelectDate, and SelectColor components, which use visual assist popups
    To avoid breaking existing applications, the popup is disabled when used in Oracle ADF Faces pages exposed as a portlet. Thus, functionally speaking, these components are equivalent to InputText."
    So guess that just won't work.

  • Create Gantt-Chart by using class CL_GUI_CHART_ENGINE

    Hello,
    my goal is to create a Gantt-Chart by using CL_GUI_CHART_ENGINE .
    I´ve copied report GRAPHICS_GUI_CE_DEMO and tried to modify its XML data in order to get a Gant-Chart
    but I failed. I´ve also used SAP Chart-Designer to get an executable customizing for the chart engine
    but this way was unsuccesful too. Every time the chart shows no data...
    Is there anyone who has an example (code, docu, xml) to create a Gantt-Chart?
    Thank you.
    Kind regards,
    Oliver

    Hi,
    Please try this sample code. You'll need a customizing from ChartDesigner to launch it.
    I have hardcoded sample data but you can take it further from here.
    Please use following settings in the wizard

  • Creating Gantt charts using Business Graphics that can be downloaded

    The short version is I need the format for XML data to create a Gantt chart in a Business Graphics UI Element in order to be able to automatically email it.  The long version is...
    I currently have a Web Dynpro ABAP component that displays a Gantt chart using a Business Graphics UI Element based off data in various other UI elements in the view.
    This works fine and the graph displays nicely, but I cannot find a way to download that straight from the Business Graphics UI Element.  Having read around the forum there appears to be two options:
    - Code it up myself by calling methods on the IGS API directly
    - Bind the image data attribute on the element and get the data that way
    Unfortunatly, we are not currently running a recent enough version (702/720) to be able to do the latter and so, unless there is another way, I need to code up the API calls myself.
    So far I have got a business graphic in to an Adobe PDF form, loaded in my config data so it appears as a Gantt chart but I cannot figure out the format for the actual data that needs to be sent through in XML.  Does anyone have example XML data or code to generate it that can be sent in to the call:
    l_igs_ce->set_data( EXPORTING data_doc = p_ixml_doc ).
    I have used the example in GRAPHICS_IGS_CE_TEST and the page http://liualex.com/archives/185 to generate the image and load the config data in but this only explains the XML format of the chart data for bar graphs.
    Many thanks

    Found my answer,
    This download: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/downloads?rid=/library/uuid/e0a9ba90-0201-0010-d3a2-9cb376b5e181
    This is the SAP Chart Designer, it contains a PDF which explains the XML format used, you can use it to manually create your own XML streams.

  • Timescale at the bottom of Gantt Chart

    Hi,
    In the old P3 application, we were able to put timescale at the bottom of Bars area, how can we do it with new P6.

    Sharyar ,
    As far as I know that is not possible in the current version of P6.
    But, you can have a timescale located on the bottom of your screen if:
    Option #1: Set up either a "Resource profile or Activity profile" on the bottom section of your screen. I use them regularly and they easily print out displaying the timescale on the bottom of my layouts. But that's not the same as viewing a gantt chart :(
    Option #2: If you do not need the timescale to be seen is to change the format of the timescale's shade & text color to "white".
    Option #3: Maybe try to build a new report that displays a time phased look with weeks, months or years displayed on the top of each page.
    Option #4: (least recommended) Take a screen shot of your schedule and modify the location of your timescale using a type of graphics software.
    Hope this helps,
