FM to display table contents

Hi all,
Is there any Fm that will display contents of transparent table. Right now i tried VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL but it is with tha maintemance menu I dont want that, i want to simply display table contents.

DB Connect after BI 7 Upgrade - can extract but not display table contents

Hi,
After an upgrade from 3.1 non-unicode to BI 7 unicode on Windows OS, SQL Server 2005 DB, the DB Connect connection to another SQL Server 2005 database is still established and passes all checks. We are also able to load data from the datasources previously established. However if we right-click the source system -> additional functions -> Select Database Tables (3.x), list the tables/views, double-click a view known to contain data, click 'Display Table Contents' and nothing happens. We can run a load from the datasource connected to the same view.
I have seen one unanswered post with the same issue. If anyone else has come across this problem and has some suggestions, it would be appreciated.
Note we have checked the normal issues on the SQL user having created the views and don't believe this is an authorisation issue. There is no authorization issue posted in SU53.
Support pack level is 16 on Basis and 18 on BW.

Hi Ken,
The problem has happened in the past because fields in the table/view had lower case letters. This is not allowed. Please check the following documentation:

Displaying Table Contents

Hello
I have to show the following table in a dashboard page with the rows as shown below. The content of the first column is the measure details and the second column is the actual value.
row 1: Total Revenues for the current Year $12,150,000
row 2: Total Expenses for the current Year $11,110,000
row 3: Numbers of Employee in the Organization 35
row 4: Attrition rate for the current year 3%
How can I show this given that
1. Each row is obtained from a different set of fact and dimension tables
2. Each value in the second column (i.e. measure) must point to a unique url. Here when the user clicks on $12,150,000 , it must take the user to one url and on clicking $11,110,000 it must take him to a different url.
Any suggestions are apprectiated.

Create a report which contains at least the 4 columns you need. (fi c1,c2,c3,c4)
Create a narrative view:
Total Revenues for the current Year <.a href="url">@1<./a>[br]

Problem in page overflow with table contents having control level

Hello members,
My scenario is to display table contents from (Master Page)MP1 and then overflow to MP2 and use the MP2 for the rest of the overflowed pages too. In the form context, the table has control level grouping on a field(F1), which is set in context, because of which we can sub total for the group of records based on field F1.
Take the scenario that the content area(CA1) of MP1 fits only 10 records and content area(CA2) of MP2 fits only 20 records.
Test scenario 1:
If the table contents have records upto 20, then MP1 gets filled with first 10 records and then MP2 with rest of the 10 records. This scenario works fine.
Test scenario 2:
If the table contents have records upto 5, then only MP1 with current 5 records gets filled. This scenario also works fine.
Test scenario 3:( ISSUE BEING FACED)
If the table contents have records upto 50,(which are more than the combined number of rows of MP1 and MP2) then no data is displayed on MP1 and data starts filling in next MP2 and only approx 22 records are visible where few even cross the content area of the MP2. And no over flow for the rest of the records happen.
We use SFP Transaction in SAP to modify the layouts of the forms. Please let us know if the table having group set by control level causes any issue in this scenarion Test scenario 3.

Hi,
master pages don't support page breaks. Those pages are only used for the background things of body pages like page numbers, company logs or letter head layouts.
Don't use repeating objects on masterpages that may overflow its content area, this will always end up with unexpected results.
Put all those objects on a regular page (body page) which allows page breaks.

Displaying the contents of internal table- in email Step of workflows

Hello Folks,
I wanted to display the contents of an internal table ( would contain a list of opportunites ), in an email sent throught the workflow:
My idea was to LOOP AT <ITAB> into <WA> from an external program and then call the workflow for each content of the <WA>. This will be a problem as, if there are like 1000 records in the internal table, then workflows will be called 1000 times...sending 1000 emails..
My requirement is that we need to send a single email to the single person, displaying the content of the internal table in the email body......
My question
1) Is this scenario possible through worflows ?
2) If not, please provide an alternative ..

Do you mean to say that just by inserting the multiline element
within the body of the 'Send email' step type, the contents
of the multiline element is displayed automatically without
we having to loop at it somehow ?
Follow the below apporach,
1. First create a multiline container element in the workflow conatiner.
2. Populate the internla table , by using the bor methods and pass back the populated ITAB to the WF by using the binding concept.
3. Now create a mail step in the workflow, you have the option of inserting the workflow container elements into the mail conten, so insert the multiline container element , then it prompts to select the option like a) Do you liek to display only first line b) Display the ITAB line by line c) Display ITAB lines continuously with out line break.
4. based upon the requirement select any one of the options.
Note: Make sure the line length of the ITAB won't excced 132 charecters, because the send mail step will consider only 132 characters.

How to display the contents of a 2D array which is bound to a data table

I have a backing bean which returns me a 2D array of Strings . Now I have bound this to a data table .
Something like this

Now when I say dbArray[i] it will give me the ith column of the current row. I want to display these dbArray[i] contents in a proper table format.
What I am doing at present is something like this

Does doArray always have at most three elements?
If so, you can specify three <h:column>s each displays doArray.

Entire excel file is displayed ,but the problem is I want to display the excel file in one shot i.e not line by line
Kindly suggest if there is any keyword or FM to display the contents in excel using internal table.
It should not take much time. Just by executing code , the contents of internal table should be displayed.

Hi Kavitha,
maybe it's not sophisticated enough for your requirement, but I found function XXL_FULL_API easy to use. This will give same functionality as 'download' button in ALV-Grid display.

I meet a problem . I want to get sap table content through RFC in excel VBA. now i have solve it . It can got table content . when i change a new system , it can get table content ,but chinese characters display as '#' ( it works well in sap 4.6c Chinese characters can display , when upgrate to ecc 6.0 it can't works well )

Hi Chirs,
I am facing the same problem but i am using c sharp and this is a windows application.
I tried to change the CodePage attribute by simply setting connection.codepage = "8040";
But i get an exception.
attempted to read or write protected memory.
I cant seem to change this. What should i do. Also do we have to set this at the point of connecting to the Sap system or when i'm calling the RFC. I tried both instances but none worked. Could you please help me out.

How to display smartform table content in condition basis

 In smartform, can i display the content of table in a condition basis.
 For example am displaying 4 rows in a page.
 If the rows exists more than 4, remaining rows i want to display in next page.
 Is it possible, if so, how to do, pls anyone help me on this.

use the command which is present in the flowlogic.
In that tick the Go to new page check box and write the page no. into the i/o bos besides it and write the condition whatever it is.

Kindly follow the below steps,
Go with a transaction code : smartforms
 Enter the form name like : ysma_forms1 and create with proper description
 From the left side window there will be a form interface to provide table .....
 Go for tables option
 table_name like table_name(ref.type)
 Pages and window-> page1-> main window
 Go to the form painter adjust the main window.
Select main window and right click --> go for create loop
Name: loop1, desc: display loop.
Internal table ktab into ktab.
select loop right click -> create a text
name : text1, desc: display text.
Go to change editor.
Write the mater what ever you want and if you want to display data from the table write the table fields as follows:
&ktab-<field1>& &ktab-<field2>&
save & activate then execute ,, scripts will generate a function module like : '/ibcdw/sf0000031' copy this function module and call in executable program...
For that
1. go with abap editor se38.
2. table: tablename.
3. parameters: test like tablename-<field1>.
4. data itab like tablename occurs 0 with header line.
5. select * from tablename into table itab where field1 = test1.
6. call function '/ibcdw/sf0000031'
7. tables
 ktab = itab.
Save and activate the program ( ^f 3).
Now run the program ( f 8)

Saving the table content into one excel sheet

I have got following problem:
I'm measuring data with a DAQ card. I'm interested in the min and max value of the measured data. Therefore I'm using the Amplitude and Level measurent function. Its no problem to display the results in the graphical interface. What causes me trouble is to save the content of the displayed table into some kind of file. Anybody know a solution?

The problem is that I use the descriped min/max function. If I write it to a text file I get a lot of additional information every second.

This kind of information is not displayed if I visualize it in a table. The table only shows me the time and the corresponding min/max values. These values are updated every second.
I tried to write it to a spreadsheet, this approach was also not successful since a new spreadsheet was opened/generated every second respectively every time a new min/max value was aquired.
I would like to safe the data fro, the table to a file without the additionál information showed above in the example.

Trying to display tables reusing same code.

I'm probably being really naive but I just can't get this to work!
I have a display table class that will only display a one table when a button is pressed in a GUI. I want to use the same code again to display another table but pressing another button this time. ie: press "Table 1" button and the SQL query SELECT * FROM Customer should be used. Press "Table 2" Button and SQL query SELECT * FROM Order should be used. I have tried creating a constructor for this but it keeps coming up with errors. Please can you have a look at my code. The bits that don't work are commented out. I want to be able to just change the query that is used each time a different button is pressed.

what errors are you getting?
Where are you passing in the value for "Query" and assigning it to the class variable of the same name?
do this in the constructor:

i should use awt only not applet...
i need to display the contents of java.util.list in a frame...
the contents contains rows queried from a oracle database.....
the contents should be displayed similar to how a lable is displayed..
please help me out..
