FMS 3.5 - How to use remoting Server Side

I am very interested in using Remoting in order to connect to a Drupal AMFPHP service module.  On the client side this is easily done and I have had limited success on the Server side, but a good guide on how to do this properly and be able to get the data being returned would be great.
Thanks,
Chris

I don't know if Drupal's AMFPHP implementation is any different than a straight install of AMFPHP, but this article should help to get you started:

    How to use remote desktop client in mountain lion.
    I want to connect my other system(ubuntu) using mac remote desktop client, But i could not locate remote desktop client in moutain lion.

    In Ubuntu 12.xx use Dash to find "Desktop Sharing" and set the preferences, including requiring a password.
    Then in Ubu use System Settings > Network to determine your Ubu machine's IP address, such as 192.168.1.13.
    On the Mountain Lion Mac do Finder > Go > Connect to Server   and enter:  vnc://192.168.1.13  or whatever your IP is.  Enter the password that you used in the Ubu Desktop Sharing setup, when asked.
    On the Ubu machine answer the question that pops up asking for permission to connect.  Your Ubu screen will now show up on the Mac, and you can remote control it.   Here I am running "Octave" (a math program) on the Ubu machine, remotely.
    Works great!  BTW, you can do this from an iPad too, using a VNC client such as Mocha VNC Lite.  You can even run both remotes simultaneously.
    Good luck.

    Hi,
    I don't know how to use DHCP Server.

    There seems to be no item to setting a DHCP Server in the Administrative Tools.
    Is there function to which installation is necessary to use DHCP Server.
    Thanks,

    DHCP server role is typically for Windows Server, but you can get some DHCP capability when you enable Internet Connection Sharing -http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-networking/make-windows-7-act-as-a-dhcp-server/8ff345f2-99b5-4670-bb6f-32d7bb63de3c

  • How to install owb server-side software on UNIX Solaris (SPACR-64)?

    Hi there,
    How to install owb server-side software on UNIX Solaris (SPACR-64)?
    I've read the install guide
    and it mentions
    3. Start the installer by entering the following at the prompt:
    cd mount_point
    ./runInstaller
    I don't have access to any graphical interface on the UNIX box e.g. x-windows nor any cd with the software, just the solaris software downloaded from web - does this include the runinstaller
    and is the runisnatller just a command line interface?
    I hoped I would be able to download the software from oracle website and then simply run the a setup scrip?
    Is it possible to do this? Would I simply substitute cd mount_point to cd <directory I put software)
    I've never ran oracle universall installer on UNIX before.
    Many Thanks

    Hi,
    You can install the server-side software from the downloaded software.
    You don't need the CD
    You do need an X-windows client on your computer to connect to the server OR work directly on the server.
    Without X-windows you cannot start the Oracle Universal Installer.
    Maybe there is a command line installation, I have never used this.
    I hope this helps.

    How to read a server side file in Applet?

    You generally can't tell with Stream how many bytes are going to be available. You could download the whole thing into a ByteBuffer, for example, and process it from there.
    Or you can try opening an http connection explicitly (using URL and casting the connection to HttpURLConnection and see if there's a "Content-length" header.

  • How to run the Server Side Existing rule in Exchange 2010

    Hi All,
    There were requirement to create a auto forward rule for almost more than 5000 users, which we did, but the we want to apply this rules to the messages which are already in the inbox for all those users where we have created the rule.
    Right now the problem what we are facing is for each individual we have to take full access to their mailbox and execute the rule first time and then it works.
    this is becoming challenging for us to making this for all 5000 users. the other problem is those user are not regularly login to this mailbox, they are using some other Org mailbox, so even we can not communicate to all of them.
    Q1) How to run the Server Side Command which should forcefully apply whatever rules is created for that user should execute for the messages which are already in the inbox.
    Q2) or the powershell for for specific rule name, which can apply on the for all the messages which are there in the inbox.
    Any help would be appriciated!
    Thanks in adv champions!
    Ashku

    Hi Ashku,
    If these 5000 users are all users in your Exchange organization, a inbox rule can be created by the following commands:
    Get-Mailbox | foreach {New-InboxRule -Mailbox $_.Name -Name AutoForward -From [email protected] -ForwardTo UserB}
    Based on my test, the Inbox rule created in server side also cannot work on the message that have already been in the Inbox unless users click “Run Rules Now…” in their Outlook client. And the transport rule in Exchange server only works
    during the message sending process.
    Therefore, there may be no feature in Exchange server side to meet your requirement.
    Thanks for your understanding.

  • Accessing LCDS Persistence Layer for use in Server-Side Business Logic

    Within server-side business logic, I want to be able to get a persisted object from LCDS, manipulate  that object, and then use LCDS to persist those changes to the database  as well as send those changes to the client.
    Is it possible to access LCDS' persistence layer (Hibernate) to be used by server-side business logic?
    I have attempted to use DataServiceTransaction.getItem(...).  However, for objects that contain a collection of other objects I get this error:
    [LCDS] Runtime exception while trying to fetch a property from hibernate: flex.data.DataServiceException: There is no current message broker to return.
    When calling DataServiceTransaction.updateItem(...) for objects that contain a collection of other objects, I get this error:
    org.hibernate.LazyInitializationException: failed to lazily initialize a collection of role: com.sd.pojo.Book.chapters, no session or session was closed
    Also, it appears that DataServiceTransaction.updateItem does NOT update the database?
    I have resorted to building my own Hibernate SessionFactory, but that seems unnecessary.
    One other piece of information is that I am using the Fiber modeling tool to build and deploy the model to the server.  I am generating the Java classes with Fiber and making them available to be used on the server.
    Thanks,
    Collin

    Thanks for the help guys.
    I guess what I'm really trying to get straight in my own mind is whether supporting interraction and control of eJB database interraction is still using the same functionality as having a stand alone app interracting with a db.
    I'm thinking about; the implications of using eJBs specific query language and the different way in which eJBs use db connections (either for the period of their lifetime or just for the duration of one interaction) compared with a stand alone app, which would maintain a connection to the database(s) while it is open.
    Connection pooling and caching of DB objects is often quoted as being a middle tier activity, but what does this mean when all 3 tiers reside on the same machine?
    Once again thanks for your comments and advice.

  • How to use remote JMS in websphere5?

    I want to use JMS in another server to send message so that I config required jndi in server. When I lookup local JMS jndi(connection factory, queue) it works correctly. But when I lookup remote connectionfactory, it throws 'javax.naming.CommunicationException'. BTW, local configuration is same as JMS server. And I use WSAD 5.1.1 to develop it.
    The first question is if I need use JMS server on another server, I should lookup remote queue and JMS connection factory on that server, right?
    The second question : If yes, how to obtain remote JMS connection factory? I use WSAD 5.1.1 trail, I don't know is it possible to obtain remote jndi.
    The third question : do I need change any configuration for supporting remote JMS client instead of local(same compute, different jvm) environment?
    The following is my client code to obtain remote queue:
    public class Test {
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              Properties env = new Properties();
              env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,
                    "com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory");
              env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "corbaloc:iiop:10.240.4.203:2809");
              try {
                   Context initialContext = new InitialContext(env);
                   Object obj = initialContext.lookup("jms/IPharmQueue1");
              } catch (NamingException e) {
                   // TODO Auto-generated catch block
                   e.printStackTrace();
    }It works ok when ip is localhost. But it can obtain remote queue or connectionfactory. I tried to lookup other EJB, it also failed.

    Actually, I have application in one server and four same server as cluster. But only one server provides JMS service. So my application need to use remote JMS server instead of local server. But in my development environment I can not simulate cluster environment as customer environment. So I try to let my application access remote JMS server in different computer. When two server start up I found my application will get local JMS connection factory and queue instead of remote factory. Even I put IP of another computer in PROVIDER_URL.
    I did a application client to test it. The code is above. But it can not lookup remote jndi.
    I use WAS5 as server and WSAD 5.1.1 as development IDE.
    Is any idea about it?

  • How to use Remote Debugging in JDeveloper 3.1 ?

    I am trying to use the Remote Debugging option with EJBs in JDeveloper 3.1 with Oracle8i 8.1.6.
    I checking all steps the online walkthrough for Remote Debugging EJB in 8i and it didn't work.
    I'm using Oracle8i EJB/CORBA debug option in project properties, but it does not stop in my EJB's break points.
    I tried deploying the EJB again ( with break points) and again it didn't work.
    The error message I got in the trace file is:
    Errors in file D:\Oracle\admin\SCT\udump\sctS000.TRC:
    ORA-29516: Aurora assertion failure: Java thread deadlock detected
    Could someone please tell me how to use it?
    null

    Which platform is the database running on ??
    Other things you should check -
    when debugging the EJB, JDev
    3.1 looks through your IIOP connections to find the one to use.
    Make sure that the IIOP connection that JDev is using for the debugging matches the IIOP connection that the EJB client application is using.

  • How to use VM server's disk space to store VM?

    Hi!
    I've installed Oracle VM Server on my Sun Server. The server has 4 hard drives, which are combined in RAID 10.
    The final disk space is approximately 600 gigabytes. This is df command's output:
    Filesystem
    Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
    /dev/sda2
    50G  1.2G   46G   3% /
    tmpfs
    666M     0  666M  0% /dev/shm
    /dev/sda1
    477M   47M  401M  11% /boot
    none
    666M   40K  666M   1% /var/lib/xenstored
    For the needs of the server uses about 50 gigabytes of disk space.
    Oracle VM server Installation and Upgrade Guide says:
    Partitioning is performed automatically by the installer, and you do not have
    the option to define how partitions should be created on the drive during the
    installation process. Partitions are created in such a way that only the maximum
    amount of disk space required to run Oracle VM Server is attributed to the
    partition where it runs. A separate partition is created for any remaining disk
    space to be used as a discoverable local disk that can be used to host a
    repository or assigned to any virtual machine that runs on the Oracle VM Server.
    So where is this separate partition, that I can use to server pool and storage repository in OVMM?
    I want to use free disk space to share it using NFS. Later I use these NFS shares to create server pool and storage repository.
    Thanks!
    Konstantin

    Hi Konstantin,
    you should not use a OVS to export NFS shares to create a server pool or storage repo on it. Such shares should come from a dedicated NFS server, especially, if you plan on ever configuring a sever pool with multiple OVS. The point it, if you're using an OVS to act also as the NFS server for your server pool and storage repo, you will make it impossible to restart that one OVS, due to tha fact that you'd blow up your OVM cluster.
    If you only want to run a single server pool, then nothing prevents you from usind fdisk on the OVS itself and claim the remaining drive space, by making it available as a /dev/sda3
    Cheers,
    budy

  • How to use SQl server 2005's SQLXMLBulkLoad with JAVA

    Hi All,
    I am in a big problem identifying how to use xml bulk insert functionality of sql server 2005 with java.
    I need to enter millions of data into the sql server 2005 database.
    All the material i saw on net includes vb script or asp.net sripts to do so.
    Somebody please tell how I can do this with JAVA.
    Thanks.

    In this forum we commonly discuss connections from Oracle to foreign databases. When you want to connect with your SQL Server to Oracle it would be better to ask that in a Microsoft forum as they support their LINKED SERVER mechanism.
    The linked server set up is for example described in the Microsoft knowledge base as:
    280106 - HOW TO: Set Up and Troubleshoot a Linked Server to Oracle in SQL Server
    In newer SQl Server releases the name changed see for example:
    How to run a SQL Server 2005 Integration Services package as a SQL Server Agent job step
    View products that this article applies to.
    Article ID : 912911
    As you can see they are commonly using OLEDB driver. So you might have to install Oracle's OLEDB driver as well. Else you might think about using OLEDB to ODBC bridge

  • How to use iCal Server with clients?

    Ok, so since I can't find this anywhere... How do I use iCal Server with other desktop clients? I've selected the user, enabled calendaring, the user can authenticate in web-based group calendars. But then I'm stuck.
    How do I give them their own calendar?
    In iCal, I go to Accounts and try and enter the info but it fails every time. I tried the dns name like so: "calendar.example.edu" but it generates an error. But the user can log in to the web calendar for groups. Where is the users individual calendar located?
    The help menu ignores that field as if it's not needed, but then it fails because the calendar doesn't know where the server is. The clients can't all be OD bound, so this has to work outside of Open Directory. According to Apple other CalDAV clients can connect too. How? Computers just don't "connect" on their own.
    Anyone know the answer?

    I was getting the same error when I tried to subscribe to a calendar using:
    Subscribe to: http://myserver.example.com:8008/
    principals/users/usershortname
    I found that if I added a trailing slash to the URL then it would work :
    Subscribe to: http://myserver.example.com:8008/
    principals/users/usershortname/
    (the way I found this was to navigate via the web browser to http://myserver.example.com:8008 then authenticate as a user, then navigating through to http://myserver.example.com:8008/principals/users/ where you can see all the user names all with a trailing slash after them)
    hope this helps
