FMS2 core dies after a number of connections
Howdy folks
My company developed a flash video chat (adult related)
application. We have intensively tested the application without
problems on the developer edition of FMS and afterwards we decided
to buy a license. We have configured the license on the
1000/40/unlimited and fired the site up. But here's the problem.
After a certain number of connections (we counted at about 40
simultaneous streaming sessions plus let's say an average of 2
guests per each stream) the core goes off and dies, therefore not
loading the video anymore. Each time this happends we need to
restart the FMS and it's working fine for another period of time.
The system FMS2 is running on is a Dual Intel Xeon 3.2 Ghz with 4
GB of RAM. The processors are running at about 30 - 40% of their
capacity right before the core goes down.
Anyone else had any similar experience and if yes what was
the solution? Any help is greatly apreciated. Looking forward to
hear from the community.
Warm Regards
Andy

We had the same problem: video freeze, etc... and it was
related to the fact that we were running Web Server and FMS on a
single server. It was not the only source of problem : we converted
video/audio file with ffmepg on the fly and it was the thing that
kill our FMS process. We now use several server and everything look
fine....
The best thing to do will be to split your server task(web,
FMS and other) among several server and in this case they don't
need to be incredible beast!
Hey anonymous
Thanks for the feedback. I've been adviced by so many persons
in so many ways but based on flv streaming scenarios. I do not do
that. I am in to a many-to-many scenario where the application
instances (sources of stream) come and goes dinamicaly. I get their
webcams and stream them to any potential viewers.
In the flv streaming case the fix for this issue is simple. I
set the <Scope> to inst and define RollOver and MaxCores
values and i have no stress since the cores will be replacing each
other at the defined period of time.
But in my case (many-to-many) i cant run the fms with the
Scope inst but only as app.
Anyway .. i do hope(think) that separing FMS will solve this
issue.

Andy

Users can't log in to server after X number of computers connect
I'm running a Leopard server with unlimited number of connections in a high school setting. It is set for an Open Directory master. After "X" number of students login, the students get a server error and no additional students can't login to their accounts. I logged into one of the student machines as admin and tried to connect to the server using the "Go-->Connect to Server" with their user ID and password. Here is the message that was returned:"This fileserver will not allow any additional users to log on. Please try to connect again later." Any ideas out there? Thanks for the look.
The next step is to open Console (or Terminal, or access the logs via ServerAdmin if you prefer) and look at the logs. I've never seen a similar issue, so I can't even begin to guess what's happening. AFP logs would be a good place to start, but poke around whatever other logs that may be relevant and see if there are any clues. I have seen Servers have issues with all connections, but never more than a certain number, and 8 makes no sense.
Can you elaborate any more on what your network looks like and how exactly your server is setup, and how you set it up? -
The maximum number of connections per source (Unlimited) for this connector has been reached by this source IP address.
Hi Arun,
In order to figure out the source of the problematic IP, we need to collect the following logs:
Detail messages of the Error 1021 including the blocked IP address.
Protocol log. We can search the specific IP address in the log to find more information about the sender. Here is the reference of
Using the EAC to configure protocol logging.
Besides, use the command below to verify if they are set as expected:
Get-ReceiveConnector -Identity "this connector name" | select Message*,MaxInbound*

Storm 1 dies after 2 min call on full battery
I've been trying to get a response to this question and have received nothing yet.
my storm1 dies after a 2 minute call - even when the battery is full, a call comes in and withing 2 mins the phone shuts itself off and sometimes restarts with the battery icon red, I get a message saying the battery is too low for radio signal. I don't have any apps running in the background, I ensure that the phone is locked so that the backlight goes off. Still it dies - any help please!!!!
My Core Application is 5.0.0
System software is 5.0.0Assuming that you are running iOS 4 or higher .....
There could be any number of reasons why the battery is losing the charge so quickly. If you constantly have Location Services, and Notifications turned on - and depending upon the frequency that the iPad is set to Push email notifications, along with the number of apps that may be running in the background ... all these factors impact battery drainage.
These two articles are worthwhile reading for you and will give you a great deal of insight on how to best charge the battery and how to get the most out of battery life.
iPad Battery
http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipad.html
Charging the iPad Battery
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4060
One thing I recommend for you to try is to quit open/recent apps. You do this by double tapping the home button to bring up all of your recent/opens in the task bar at the bottom of the iPad screen. Tap and hold down on any of those icons until they all wiggle. Then tap the minus signs in the upper left corner of the icons to close the apps. Close all of them, then tap the home button twice. Now restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut down. Hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears to power up again.
This article may be helpful as well for you to read about how multitasking works.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4211
After you do this, and you read and heed the advice in the two support articles, see how your battery life is now. There could be other issues involved, but start here.

Best Regards,
ThomasHi!
Check that all enviroment variables are complete and still in place?
JAVA_HOME and DBMS_TYPE and so on
Also check that all exe files are of the same version, if not, make sure they are.
You could also try to update disp+work

Dispatcher dies after afew seconds
The dispatcher on my CI dies after afew seconds. In SAPMMC the SID becomes green then the message server closes the connection to the dispatcher forcing all WP's to die.
The error on the message server:
ERROR => MsSClientHandle: no server provides service ENQ
I have here the seveloper traces for the message server and the dispatcher just in case.

Max. Number of connections in use Nokia N93
Hi
I am trying to connect to wireless router using WEP. I have configured the access point and when I try to connect with Opera Mobile 3.6 an error occurs:
Max. Number of connections in use. Close na active connection first.
Note that my phone is not woring in dual mobe but GSM only.
When I try connecting with the Phone's browser:
WLAN: Unable to connect. WLAN Network not found
Lumia 920 OS version: 8.0.10521.155
FW revision number: 3047.0000.1326.2002Every time you up-date the firmware, you get from your network opperator the settings for various access points (Internet, MMS, Vodafone Live, whatever....) This leads to duplicates (or even mode) access-points. Moreover, some of these access points are saved as "default" access point in various applications. This is where the mess starts.
To clean-up the mess, you first have to REMOVE all duplicate access points and keep only one access point for each purpose: Internet connection, MMS, Live (if you are are on Vodafone), etc. After this, you will probably get messages from various applications to define a new default access point. And things will be sorted our automatically.
Hope this helps, even though it might not be simple for some.

Nokia N8-00 'maximum number of connections in use'
Hi,
I have creted another APN in the Destinations-Internet settings. Put this APN on priority 1. Then I se internet an it is ok. But when I open Nokia Maps or another App. Sometimes it tries to connect to the old APN then says 'maximum number of connections in use'. Asking me for confirmation to close one connection.
So I move all APN's and Wireless connections out of the Destination Internet. Except for the new on that I want. Still the same message From time to time. How to stop thi message. Deleting an APN is not a solution I am looking for otherwise I would have done that.
Any help is appreciated. So the on off method I posted earlier did not work. The first APN is still tring to be accessed by some apps after the phone is switched off and on again. The other things I tried..
- Removed the APN restriction and renamed the first APN. When I start the APP it now gives me a warning and lets me choose the APN. I choose the second one so greate. Close the APP. Now when I rename the fisr APN to the original name. APPS try to access it again and I get that original error.
The only thing I could do is configure the first APN name with the actual Access Point of the second APN. This worked All apps are accessing the first APN whaich was reconfigured to look like the new Second APN.
This is not a solution again it is a workaround. Does anyone-else have this problem. Or am I the only one who is configuring multiple APNs. Since my provider has multiple APNs.
I would have thought that this phone supports Multiple PDP contexts, or Secondary PDP context. It was defined in the initial 3GPP specs way back in 2003ish. Nokia can you confirm???
Cheers Peps! -
Nokia E90 - Maximum number of connections in use e...
I invariably get the error - Maximum number of connections in use. Please close open connection - (this is not the exact verbiage of the message) when i connect to the gprs / wap. this started occuring after i updated my firmware from 200.x.x to 210.34.75.
The funniest part is that the application would connect to wap / gprs if i select cancel and ignore the message and continue.
If i select Yes, then i will be forced to close at least one application which is connected to the wap / gprs
I have different access points configured for each application and hence i see no reason for this error message.
Also, i never had this issue with this phone before, when i was using the same setup; separate access points for the applications which use gprs / wap.
Please advice as to how i can get rid of this message popping up every time i use wap / gprs.
Please help....
Also are there any good navigation softwares with Maps for India available, so that i can use it on my E90 and N82.Every time you up-date the firmware, you get from your network opperator the settings for various access points (Internet, MMS, Vodafone Live, whatever....) Number of connections in a JDBC pool
Hi,
I am running Sun One Webserver 6.1SP4 on Solaris 8 on sparc machines. My web app interacts with Oracle 9.2 using the web server's jdbc pooling mechanism. Everything works fine, but what worries me is the number of connections always goes up even during nights when the traffic is considerably low compared to day time. Here is part of my server.xml relevant to the pool.
<JDBCCONNECTIONPOOL name="spfc-dbp1" datasourceclassname="oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource" steadypoolsize="8" maxpoo
lsize="80" poolresizequantity="8" idletimeout="300" maxwaittime="10000" connectionvalidationrequired="on" connectionvalidati
onmethod="auto-commit" validationtablename="" failallconnections="off" transactionisolationlevel="read-committed" isolationl
evelguaranteed="on">
I checked all my code to make sure I am calling close() on result sets, statements and the connection itself both immediately after completing work as well as in the finally blocks.
The only mechanism I have to bring down the number of connections is to restart the web server. I played around with the poolresizequantity, idletimeout properties, but it didn't help much.
I thank all of you in advance for any insights.
-SharmaHi Sharma,
I have a similar problem.
Starting my portal and it works for about ten minutes. Then it is unreachable, because of an ProfileException error. I guess it is too many DB Connections.
I can do 2 things:
- wait for about 20minutes and it works again for ten minutes, or
- restart tomcat.
Currently I am setting up a new Connection Pool, Jdbc2Pool.
Did you find a solution to your problem?
Ciao,

Number of connection allowed in the free developer ediiton of Flash Media Server
Hi
I would like to know the number of connection allowed in the free developer ediiton of Flash Media Server
Regards
SunnyHi,
When we say we limit the number of connections to 10 in Flash Media Development Server, we mean that we allow 10 successful connections and reject 11th connection onwards. So at anypoint of time your server can have only 10 active connections. When there are 10 active connections and a 11th client tries to connect to the server, the connection is rejected with reason "NetConnection.Connect.Rejected - [ License.Limit.Exceeded ] : (_defaultRoot_, _defaultVHost_) : Max connections allowed exceeds license limit. " and these details are logged at the server side core.log too

Number of connection to this computer limited and all connections are in use right now
I have Lenovo ThinkPad T520 (i7, NVIDIA 4200TM) with dock station and two monitors. Sometimes when I close notebook and undock it from dock station. Then I cannot login to my notebook because of error "Number of connection to this computer limited and
all connections are in use right now". This is screenshot of my laptop http://i.imgur.com/6MXnQKf.jpg
Laptop is not in domain and does not have remote desktop connections. It was just turned in sleep mode and late turned on.
This happen pretty often one from 10..20 times of undock. It did not happen with Windows 7 before. The network does not work properly after you resume the computer. This kind of issues are cuased by the network device driver. Download the latess Windows 8 driver from Lenovo website and install it.

Thread number per connection crash 4.16
We are using a program in a loop, we add 500 entry in 2 minutes. If the
thread number per connection is set to 5 or 10, the Netscape Directory
Server 4.16 got disorderly shutdown and dump a core. If we set this as 1,
the server works fine.
Could you please tell me what is the problem? Is this version not reliable?
Thanks,

Could you please tell me what is the problem? Is this version not reliable? What does it say in your error log? Is the number of threads per connection times the number of connections greater than the
threadnumber? Are you sure you have tuned your kernel parameters to allow a large number of threads per process and per kernel?

Problem with reached maximum number of connections to database
Dear Experts,
Our Production system was not responding properly last week.
The below was the reply from the Basis team.
"It seems that we have again problem with reached maximum number of connections to database. We have extended this number to 100 this year and now it seems that it’s not enough again. It seems that something is running on Production, which takes over too many connections."
They have increased the number to 200 as a work around.
Do we have any means to find out, which component or application is causing the issue.
Please advise me if any better way is available to correct the issue.
Please see the below trace.
