Hello,
Just curious about these 3 tables
FND_LOOKUPS
FND_LOOKUP_TYPES
FND_LOOKUP_VALULES
1. Is in the new design rows in FND_LOOKUPS have been split as code in FND_LOOKUP_TYPES and meaning in FND_LOOKUP_VALUES?
2. Probably FND_LOOKUP_VALULES also caters for localization support via LANGUAGE column?

My question: Is FND_LOOKUPS table is sort of obsolete now.
On my E-BS instance, first and third query returns 12 rows. I don't think both tables are/can be used for same thing.

    Hi all,
    In R12 , I have a flexfield that has a validation type: Table for thier valu sets.. Te validation is against a lookup so.. I need to know if there is any API that validates values for this.. or I need to query first for the value set in the flexfield and after that.. query in fnd_lookups and fnd_lookup_values...
    does any of you know is there exists an API to validate this?

    Not much clear what you are ultimately trying to achieve. On HR you may find some %util% packages that help you validate against a lookup, even considering the language of the environment. I guess it was hr_pump_utils.It has validations against lookup tables as well as other entities, bye giving the user value and returning the code or id if found.
    If not, you can create your own, passing the lookup type, the description, and optionally the language and use that to query the lookups table and validate the info received.

  • Issue with FNDLOAD

    Hi All,
    I am currently missing something with respect to FNDLOAD. Not sure what is that. Some gurus can help me figure that out.
    I have added a custom lookup and i am trying to download the same using FNDLOOKUP. the lookup is not generic one and its been created under one security profile. i work for HRMS applicaitons and its been created for only one business group/security group id.
    I used the following command to download :
    FNDLOAD apps/appsd@FBFHRD 0 Y DOWNLOAD $FND_TOP/patch/115/import/aflvmlu.lct file.ldt FND_LOOKUP_TYPE FND_LOOKUP_VALUE APPLICATION_SHORT_NAME="XXX" LOOKUP_TYPE="XXX_OVERPAYMENT_LETTERS"
    The file it downloaded has got only the LCT info and the data is not getting downloaded. do i have to include some more parameters like VIEW_APPSNAME. Incase its yes, what is the value which i need to give.

    Use the file aflvmlu.lct for loading Lookup types and Lookups values. The following lists the entities, sub-entities (if any), and download parameters for this configuration file.
    - Entity: FND_LOOKUP_TYPE
    - Sub-Entities (if any): FND_LOOKUP_VALUE
    - Download Parameters: VIEW_APPSNAME, LOOKUP_TYPE, SECURITY_GROUP

  • Possible values for AP Invoice Approval Status  in fnd_lookups

    I have a EBS system deployed which is currently like a black box for me and iam doing some reporting on the top of it.
    i need to find out the possible values of AP Invoice Approval Status in fnd_lookups , fnd_lookup_values or some other tables Defined in that system.
    Something like the below is use for employee expense status

  • Fnd_lookup_values.tag

    what is the purpose of this field? fnd_lookup_values.tag
    which documentation/user guide should I read to know more details?

    Just a couple of small clarifications on some of the points made above:
    1) It is not true to say that Oracle use the tag to filter records by module. I think this is done using the application_id against fnd_lookup_types
    2) AJ is correct that you can use the tag column for your own purposes ... but be aware that Oracle use the tag column for additional categorization in some lookups (FND_ISO_CHARACTER_SET_MAP is the best example but there are also many others). I think the rule is if Oracle use it, you can't ... if they don't, you can ... there is certainly nothing in the documentation to suggest it's a reserved field and I've used it myself on implementations without problems.

  • Can't find a lookup defined via Oracle Apps in the FND_LOOKUP_TYPES table

    i defined a lookup via Oracle Apps, but when i query for it in the FND_LOOKUP_TYPES table, it does not show up. Does something more needs to be done for the lookup definition to appear in the table?

    In Oracle Apps 11.5.10, I created a Manufacturing Lookup, then queried for it as follows:
    select * from fnd_lookup_types where lookup_type = 'XXBREG_LABEL_PURPOSE'.
    It returns 0 rows. Why is the table not acknowledging the lookup I defined via Oracle Apps?

  • Attribute Columns in Table Fnd_Lookup_Values

    Hello All, I am trying to update the attribute columns (Attribute1, Attribute2, Attribute3 etc) in the table Fnd_Lookup_Values from the Applications (Forms) side. How do I do it? From Application Developer > Application > LookUps > Common, I can Enter/Update only Lookup Code, Meaning, Description, Tag Effective Dates. I want to enter values in the Attribute Columns too. Please help!!

    Hi,
    You need to define the DFF first from the application. For that:
    1. Go to System Administrator responsibility (or any of the Super User responsibilities in the system)
    2. Go to the DFF definition screen: Application > Descriptive > Segments
    3. Search your DFF. In your case:
    - Application: Application Object Library
    - Title: Common Lookups
    4. Unfreeze the DFF (if it's frozen)
    5. Click on Segments button and define the attributes you want to populate
    Once done that, open the lookups screen and you will be able to populate the attributes.

    The main header table is RLM_SCHEDULE_HEADERS_ALL which contains the information like schedule_reference_number and other details. In one schedule there can be many item records for different dates which are stored in the child table RLM_SCHEDULE_LINES_ALL. Both the tables are linked with HEADER_ID. Each schedule in header table has one horizon start date and horizon end date. Customer used to send these schedules every day for each item because of there business needs.
    The requirement is to create a query to calculate the Net Change between the two schedules (Between the new and old).     In 11.5.9, the problem and resolution codes are stored in FND_LOOKUP_VALUES table with lookup type as 'REQUEST_PROBLEM_CODE' and 'REQUEST_RESOLUTION_CODE'. I'm hoping you could still use these tables to find problem codes, even if you were on 11.5.10 or R12.
    Join would be something like:
    WHERE fnd_lookup_values.lookup_type = 'REQUEST_PROBLEM_CODE'
    AND fnd_lookup_values.problem_code = cs_incidents_all_b.problem_code
    Regarding restricting the query for Depot Repair service requests, you need to restrict by the the incident_type_id for this type of SRs (like id for Depot incident type is 10003 for us).

  • R12 Upgrade- lookup types?

    Hi gurus- I am in the middle of an R12 upgrade and doing mapping. I see references in custom code to the table FND_LOOKUP_TYPE_USAGES. This does not exist in R12. Where does this data map to now? Is there an equivalent quick code table?
