FNDICM entry for Alert Manager under Request - Schedule

Hi,
i have following problem:
When you select the Alert Manager responsibility and open the form under Request -> Schedule, than the first entry on this form is the FNDICM.
The problem is, that with that form, every user who has the Alert Manager respo, is able to deactivate the whole concurrent manager.
This happened twice now in our Live-Environment. Does anybody know, how to delete this entry from this form?
Thanks and Regards,
Ingo

Hi,
Not sure if there is an easier way, but have you tried through personalizations? Maybe enabling, disabling the buttons depending on which record you are in, or even changing the block where clause so that FNDICM is not shown in the list.
Hope it helps.

  • Scheme of Entries for vendor payment under EBS system

    Hello Friends,
I am setting below the scheme of entries as I think is appropriate for making a vendor payment. The scenario is that we will make a payment to the vendor where the payment will be released through BACS (we are working for a UK based client). After the payment run is made the payment is not actually made for some reasons and are returned. Then we make the payment again and this time the payment run goes through smoothly.
I would request you to please let me know if I am wrong in the scheme of entries and if yes, what would be the proper scheme.
    1.
    When Invoice is raised (FB60)
    GR/IR a/c        Dr        100
    VAT a/c          Dr          20
        To Vendor a/c Cr            120
At this point there is one open item that is created in the vendor account.
    2.
When payment run is made (F110)
    Vendor a/c                          Dr              120
To Unclear BACS a/c     Cr                     120
At this point the entries in the vendor account are cleared by entry no 1 and 2 and there are no open items.
    3.
When Bank returns the payment as unsuccessful and we clear the entry (F-03)
    Return BACS a/c             Dr          120
        To Vendor A/c             Cr                     120
At this point there is one open item that is created in the vendor account
    4.
When payment is once more made and this time successfully
    Vendor a/c                       Dr             120
To Unclear BACS a/c    Cr                       120
At this point entries 3 and 4 clears the open items in the vendor account and there remains no other open items.
Can someone please confirm if the sequence is correct or is there an additional step involved for resetting of any document after entry 2 when the payment run fails?
    Regards,
    Suvarghya Dutta

    Hello,
When you have done step 2, immediately you will not come to know that your cheque is failed, only when you receive the bank statement.
In that case I would not expect you to post to a different account "Return BACS a/c". I do not see any reason for this account. I would expect you to debit to the same account "Unclear BACS a/c", which has been used in order to make the payment.
If you are using a different account for reversal, then you have to take two accounts for reconciliation purpose.
    MIRO
    GRIR Account Dr
      To Vendor Account
    F110
    Vendor Account Dr
To Bank Sub-account (In your case Unclear BACS a/c)
    FF67 or FF.5
    If successfully paid
    Bank Sub Account Dr
      To Bank Main Account
    If returned or unsuccessful (*)
    Bank Sub Account Dr
    To Vendor Account
If you are posting the entry (*) through bank statement, then no need to use FBRA.
Use FBRA immediately once you run F110 and you know that you have paid the vendor erronously. But once it reached bank and bank has issued bank statement, I would not expect you to run FBRA, but I would like to use FF67 process.

  • How to remove entries for Enterprise Manager farm ?

I installed the Oracle 10g application server middle tier
(Forms and Report Services) on one server and made a mistake in the instance name. I deinstalled it and installed it again with the correct instance name.
Note that my infrastructure (Identity mgmt + metadata)
    is on a different server.
When I start the http://localhost:1810 , the EM shows
me both the bad entry and good entry instances.
How do I get rid of the bad entry so that it does
not show up in the EM web page ?
I tried looking thru oidadmin and removing the
bad entries from Entry Management and restarting all
    processes but still no luck.
    Any ideas appreciated
    Sam Khopkar

First of all, make a copy of your existing targets.xml
    Then modify your targets.xml
Did you do a key word search of the bad name? There should be multiple places you will need to remove. such as:
    <Target TYPE="oracle_apache" NAME="bad.host_HTTP Server" DISPLAY_NAME="HTTP_Server" VERSION="2.0">
    </Target>
    <Target TYPE="oracle_webcache" NAME="bad.host_Web Cache" DISPLAY_NAME="Web Cache">
    </Target>
    <Target TYPE="oc4j" NAME="bad.host_home" DISPLAY_NAME="home" VERSION="1.3">
    </Target>
    <Target TYPE="oracle_bc4j" NAME="bad.host_BC4J" DISPLAY_NAME="BC4J" VERSION="9.0.4">
    </Target>
    <Target TYPE="oracle_ias" NAME="bad.host" VERSION="1.0">

    <Target TYPE="oc4j" NAME="bad.host_OC4J_BI_Forms" DISPLAY_NAME="OC4J_BI_Forms">
    </Target>
    <Target TYPE="oracle_repserv" NAME="bad.host_Reports_Server:xxxx

    and other similar cases.
Then do "emctl reload" for reloading the interface.

  • No entries for Inventory Item under Elimination of IP/L in Transferred Inv

Within 6.0v, I have had the system generate data target & infoprovider for Documents, Inventory data, & Supplier data.
I now want to activate the Elimination of Interunit Profit/Loss in Transferred Inventory, but there are no items to select in drop down and system does not allow me to enter inventory unit on Data Model tab for Data Basis.  I have changed the InfoObject Catalog for Chars on the Field Catalog tab to 0SEM_BCS_CHA01 since this has both inventory item and product group as I had read many threads that said both are needed.
Any ideas as to what step I might be missing would be appreciated.

    Ok:
ConsArea, Settings tab, tick there the 'Elim. of IU P/L in Inventory' flag. After regeneration of the ConsArea you'll see additional menu in the WB for customizing IPI.
About not ticking extra flags in data basis see the info here:

we use the Solution Manager 7.1 SPS 10 for System Monitoring (with customer specific tempaltes and SAP Standard templates), the PI/PO MOnitoring an some other Features.
By the way if we start the dashboard for "Alert Management Reporting" we don't get any data.
Also we can't select the managed objects.
In the "BI Diagnostic Center" there is the overview for the Reporting Scenarios. We see our Scenarios "System Reporting" and "End USer Experience Moitoring" active. When i select "Alert management Reporting" and try to click the Button "Scenario Setup" nothing happens.
    Is this a bug?
Can anybody help me get the Alert Management Reporting Dashboard run?
    Thanks and kind regards

    Hi Torsten,
Please follow the instructions of the note 1862024.
The ALM extractor is scheduled within the "Technical Monitoring"
setup in SOLMAN_SETUP, step 7. Before in the scope selection you need to
select the solution manager system. If the extractors are already
active, you'll need to deactivate (also uncheck the "keep
custom settings if checked), then restart SOLMAN_SETUP and re-activate.

  • SRM Alert Management does not determine recipient runtime?

    Dear friends,
We are working on SRM Alert Management, where the business requirement is an alert to be sent to bidder whose bid has been accepted by manager/purchaser.
We have configured Alert Classification and Category with following setting
    Category Description - Bid approved
    Priority - 2 High
Expiry time in Min – 1440
    Rule - <blank> ?????????????
    Escalation Active - <my user ID>
    Application Pac - BBP_EXCEPTION
We have defined Event and Event Schema (with Event - Accepted, Event Category – ALERT, Sub category of Event - Bid approved)
Event Schema is further assigned in transaction type.
Now I need to mention to system that if Bid is accepted then system should send an Alert to the Bidder whose bid has been accepted.
So, where do I need to define this configuration? As it cannot be a fixed recipient or role based recipient, in fact application should be able to determine the recipient runtime.
We tired with fixed recipient and its works fine. That means Alert is working but its not determining the recipient runtime.
Do we need to define Rule-based recipients in ALRTCATDEF?
    Please help,
    Regards,
    Sandeep Parab

    Hi,
You can also use the enhancement spot "BBP_ALERTING".
    Documentation for this enhancement:
Alerts/Messages and Events in SRM Alert Management
    Use
Using BAdI BBP_ALERTING you can define your own events for SRM Alert Management and you can override existing (delivered) events. You can also override the standard alert categories and change the links(URLs) that the recipient uses to get to the relevant business object (document). <b>In addition, you can use the document data to determine your own recipients.</b>
This BadI serves to enhance and/or vary the settings of the IMG activities under
Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Event and Event Schema for Alert Management.
    The following methods are available:
    BBP_EVENTS_ANALYZE
Change the standard events and define your own events
    BBP_EVENTS_CATEGORIZE
    Change the standard alert categories
    BBP_EVENTS_DET_RECIPIENTS
    Change the standard recipient
    BBP_EVENTS_DET_FOLLOW_UP_URL
Change the links contained in the alerts/in the messages, for example, for the link to the affected document
See also: Release Information SRM Alert Management (new)!
    Requirements
In order to receive detailed information on documents, document status, and document items, we recommend that you use the following function modules (the document GUID is available as an import parameter in the individual methods):
    BBP_PD_ALL_GET_DIFF
    BBP_PRODOC_GETDETAIL

  • BP for Credit Manager - Launchpad Configuration

    Dear Experts,
We have installed the Business Package for Credit Manager 1.4 on our SAP NetWeaver Portal and everything seems to be running smoothly.
We would like to change some long text in the report launchpad, but we don't know how to. Normally I can configure the launchpad texts and queries in transaction SPRO on the source system, but an entry for Credit Manager does not exist.
How can we configure the launchpad for Credit Manager?

  • No EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager task in SDCCN

    Hello All,
We have configured SAP Solution Manager and managed system to generate EWA report.
In Solman, we have created the system, logical system and solution. We have activated the managed system in Setup EarlyWatch Alert in Solman.
In Managed system, we have activated SDCCN, assigned BACK RFC, created Maintenance package and refresh sessions.
However, after completing the Maintenance package task there is no EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager task created in managed system. We have reviewed the task logs and found no errors.
In Solman, when we create EWA for today's date the status is showing with an Hour glass stating that "Wait for session data: SAP EarlyWatch Alert and session number"
Kindly assist us in fixing this issue
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Satish

    Hi
the task "early watch alert for solution manager" created automatically when did you perform the task "refreh session" or "Maintenance Package"
please create the  relevant task, via : SDCCN -> Task -> Create ->Request session data ->Periodic -> Earlywatch Alert -> Continue.
'Schedule' the start date of the first session  and - Task -- create Click on 'Refresh sessions' - Press 'Enter' - Select 'Now', to schedule the job 'immediately. once you create the relevant tasks you go by,  in the Menu -  Goto -> start - to activate the Earlywatch alert session Now, you can check the finished EWA task in 'done' tab.
Login to Solution Manager, goto trx. DSWP --> Select your solution, Solution Monitoring - Earlywatch alert -  Click on Earlywatch alert --> start service processing --> Press 'OK' to start the background job - click 'Refresh'
Now, you can see the 'Early watch alert' in the green colour .

  • Efibootmgr & gummiboot replaced UEFI entry for Windows Boot Manager

    TLDR
I am now in Windows 7 and dual boot with Arch is working fine.
But before I update Arch, I would like to understand what happened, as in why adding an efibootmgr entry for Arch replaced/deleted the Windows Boot Manager entry although I followed the BG.
The status of my UEFI boot menu was, before the installation of Arch:
    Windows Boot Manager
    AHCI HDJ... (hard drive 1)
    AHCI ST... (hard drive 2)
While working through the BG, I decided to use gummiboot=> https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Be … #Gummiboot. So:
    pacman -S gummiboot
    gummiboot install
    pacman -S efibootmgr
    gummiboot install
[some error ocurred, as mentioned in red box]
    efibootmgr -c -L "Gummiboot" -l /EFI/gummiboot/gummibootx64.efi
    nano /boot/loader/entries/arch.conf
    title Arch Linux
    linux /vmlinuz-linux
    initrd /initramfs-linux.img
    options root=/dev/sdb3 ro
    [CTRL + X, Y, Enter]
    exit
    umount /mnt/{boot,home,}
    reboot
I then saw a new list of the UEFI boot order:
    Gummiboot
    AHCI HDJ... (hard drive 1)
    AHCI ST... (hard drive 2)
Chose Gummiboot and it brought up a gummiboot menu with entries
    Arch Linux
    Windows Boot Manager
    EFI Shell something
Selected Arch Linux and it went to a message something along "boot device ' ' not found" and I was in a shell which was, I think, rootfs.
I rebooted via the button on my desktop and out the Arch Linux USB drive back. After mounting the partitions:
    gummiboot remove
    efibootmgr
    [0000: Windows Boot Manager
    [0001: Arch Linux
    [0002: AHCI HDJ...
    [0003: AHCI ST...
    exit
    umount /mnt/{boot,home,}
    reboot
Now I booted into a black screen with white text which said something "Reboot and select proper Boot device"
=> Inserted Win 7 64-bit DVD, repaired the boot sector. Rebooted, saw I had these entries again:
    Windows Boot Manager
    AHCI HDJ... (hard drive 1)
    AHCI ST... (hard drive 2)
The boot into Windows worked fine. Rebooted, chrooted into my install again and:
    efibootmgr
    [0000: Arch Linux
    [0001: Windows Boot Manager
    [0003: AHCI HDJ...
    [0003: AHCI ST...
    efibootmogr -b 0 -B
Then I used the EFISTUB method:
    efibootmgr -c -L "Arch Linux" -l /vmlinuz-linux -u "root=/dev/sdb3 ro initrd=/initramfs-linux.img"
    efibootmgr
    [0000: Windows Boot Manager
    [0001: Arch Linux
    [0002: AHCI HDJ...
    [0003: AHCI ST...
    exit
    umount /mnt/{boot,home,}
    reboot
On reboot, 'Windows Boot Manager' was again replaced by 'Arch Linux'.
=> Inserted Win 7 64-bit DVD, repaired the boot sector.
Rebooted, I have now Windows Boot Manager + Arch Linux and dual boot works now.
    My questions:
What is going on with efibootmgr replacing/deleting the Windows entry? Is there something wrong with my UEFI menu?
In connection with 1., I would like to sync the EFISTUB Kernel (wiki entry) before I run pacman -Syu. Can I do that now?
    Can I uninstall gummiboot now?

henrik wrote:So in light of your post, I decided to ditch EFISTUB + gummiboot and try out GRUB. Thanks for clearing it up a bit. Which is what confuses me a great deal more, as GRUB/gummiboot obviously do not meddle with Microsoft's EFI files. Right?
EFI relies on two things to boot:
Boot loader program files on the ESP (or occasionally elsewhere).
NVRAM entries pointing to the boot loader files.
Your own problems seem to be with the NVRAM entries, not with the boot loader files themselves. Unfortunately, managing those NVRAM entries has proven to be problematic because of bugs in specific EFI implementations, bugs in efibootmgr and other tools that manipulate the NVRAM entries, poor documentation, and other factors.
To answer your question, though, no boot loader should mess with another's files. Such things can happen, though. The number of bugs that cause Microsoft's boot loader (EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi) to be treated deferentially have provoked some tools to use it as a target location for other boot loaders. (Ubuntu's Boot Repair tool does this in a rather overzealous way. So does my own rEFInd installer script, but only under certain narrow circumstances.) Also, the EFI/BOOT/bootx64.efi file is a special case; it's the fallback bootloader that's used when NVRAM entries are missing or don't work, and various boot loader installation procedures place copies in that location, so it can be overwritten and could contain just about anything.
However, the whole thing happened again with GRUB. So I did the whole "repairing Boot problems" with the Windows DVD rescue thingy again and deleted all non-Microsoft files from the EFI partition, /dev/sda1.
Then I formatted / (root) and installed arch again and followed the Beginners' Guide which suggest mounting /dev/sda1/ to /mnt/boot (in contrast to the GRUB entry where the ESP should be mounted to /mnt/boot/efi).
I strongly advise against doing a complete re-installation just to overcome a boot loader problem. Instead, figure out what the problem is and fix it. Doing a complete re-installation is not likely to fix anything, and depending on precisely how you do it, you could end up with a more complex problem. The reason is that the re-installation is not likely to erase the NVRAM entries from the old installation, so you could find that you've got additional stray NVRAM entries. If you do happen to fix the problem by re-installing (say, because you selected a different installation option), you're not likely to know what changed to fix the problem, so you could end up in the same boat should you need to re-install again in the future.
But it did not show this line
Found Windows 7 (loader) on /dev/sda1
    ... how come??
I've given up trying to understand GRUB's configuration scripts. You could try creating an entry manually by editing /etc/grub.d/40_custom; or you could forget about using the GRUB scripts and create a hand-crafted grub.cfg; or you could forget about using GRUB at all. I'm not a fan of GRUB, so my personal choice is the final one.
So for all the headache and time ... should I delete the EFI partition and recreate it maybe? I think it's possible using the Windows 7 DVD.
But somehow using efibootmgr on my UEFI list somehow invalidated the Windows entry.
Reviewing your posts, it seems that you want to use the EFI stub loader directly, but you're having problems with that because when you add it to the NVRAM entries, Windows drops off your boot manager's boot options. The obvious solution to this problem is to forget about adding the EFI stub loader directly to the NVRAM entries, and instead add a boot manager that can handle either a Linux kernel or the Windows boot loader. (IMHO, this is the superior solution anyhow; I disagree with the Arch wiki's emphasis on using the EFI stub loader "raw.") It seems you were trying to do this with GRUB but had problems booting Windows. Earlier you tried gummiboot but had problems booting Linux. My suggestion is to either go back to gummiboot and fix its problem or try rEFInd. The "device not found" error you reported with gummiboot is usually caused by either a missing (or incorrectly-specified) initrd file or by an incorrectly-specified "root=" option passed to the kernel. Check those possitilities, and if you need help, report what happens in more detail. If necessary, take a digital photo of the screen and post it here. (Make sure it's legible, though!)
You can try rEFInd with minimal disk by using a CD-R or USB flash drive image. Boot with that and your NVRAM and ESP won't be affected at all. If you can get rEFInd working from the flash drive, you can then install it to your hard disk and it should continue working. Note that you probably won't be able to boot Linux directly from rEFInd with your current configuration without adding a "root=" specification to the kernel command line. You can do this by hitting F2 or Insert twice rather than launching Linux by pressing Enter. Alternatively, you can create a refind_linux.conf file in the directory that holds your kernel. That file's contents are described in the rEFInd documentation.

  • Cross system object lock -how to build up lock entries for existing request

    Hello,
we implemented ChaRM for some years and  intend to activate cross system object lock (CSOL), now.
But there are a lot of existing transport requests, which have not been imported to productive system, yet.
It would be very helpful to create lock entries for objects, which are assigned to those transport requests.
Does anyone know any standard report for this purpose?
Thanks a lot for any hint.
    Best regards
    Horst

If anyone else needs that feature:
Report TMW_TRKORR_LOCK_UPDATE (executed in satellite system) will lock the objects of a transport request in solution manager system.

I want to send notification to user using Alert Management in case of System Error in RFC Adapter.
I tried with defining rule in RWB with * . But still I am not able to find notification in Inbox or Mail Inbox.
    Thanks.

Infact it is working fine for JDBC CC.
But in case of RFC Receiver CC it is niether apperas in Alert Inbox nor in Mail Inbox.
Then there needs no more setting to be done. Are you sure that an error has been reported by the RFC channel (red symbol) and there is no restriction in Alert Configuration....like the interface name/ adapter type etc.

I am planning to use Alert Manager for sending out email in case if there is any locks in the database. I am not able to find a way to send a mail only when there is a lock in the database.
Is there any way to do a validation on Oracle Alert manager before sending the mail ?
