Focus on field in row created with CreateInsert action
I have an ADF Faces page that opens with an empty view object - backed table. A 'New' button (createinsert action) is used to create new records. When the user clicks 'New' I'd like the focus to go to the first field on the newly created row.
I don't believe the afh:body level parameter InitialFocusId is an option since the field doesn't exist when the page is first rendered. Any ideas on how to achieve this functionality?
Thanks
Right now the view object for this table has the Tuning parameter 'No Rows' set. I'm assuming having one blank row in the table when the page is rendered would make it easier to set the focus to a particular field. Any suggestions on how to achieve that?

Suppress NetPrice field for POS created with info records
Hi ,
What is the BADI used for Suppressing NetPrice Field for POS created with Inforecords(ME21n and ME22N).
I dont find any user exit for this, so please can anyone say me what is the Badi used to meet the requirement.
Thanks in advance,
DonladHi sanjay,
Suppressing in the sense, no changes should be made to net price field.
The netprice should be suppressed only when po is a Production Po(Identified by account assignemnet Cateogery 'P') and material has an inforecord.
for other orders(overhead/nonbillable) using a material has an existing inforecord , the netprice field should not be suppressed.
Waiting for your respopnse.
THanks,

Passing values to parameters in row created by createInsert method
Hi,
I am passing some values from one task flow to other as input parameters for the other.
There(in second task flow) i am using a createInsert method to create a row.
How can i pass the values of the input parameters received to the parameters of the createInsert row before reaching create page.
Any suggestions will be really helpful.
Thanks.User, which jdev version do you use?
Instead of the createInsert you can use createWithParameters. Check Andrejus Baranovskis's Blog: CreateWithParams Operation for Oracle ADF BC 11g

Specific Due Date Syntax for Create Task Workflow Action
I'm looking for a formula which will create a monthly due date on a specific day of the month (ie 1st or 15th). I have figured out a way to create recurring activities through workflows by adding a recuurence picklist but I currently only have monthly recurrences as Today()+30 which works but is not as clean as a monthly task that occurs on the 15th of every month.
Record Type=Activity
Event=When modified record saved
Workflow condition=FieldValue('<Type>')='To Do' AND FieldValue('<plRecurrence_ITAG>')='Every 30 days' AND FieldValue('<Status>')='Completed'
Actions=Create Task
Recurrence picklist is a required field and is chosen be the end user upon creation of the original activity (Type=To Do). The duplicate activity is created upon completion (see condition) and now the end user has a recurring task due 30 days out. this future task has the recurrence in the subject (since the recurrence field cannot be defined in the workflow action) and the end user is prompted by the system to complete the activity record (choose a recurrence) upon trying to save the record as complete or by clicking the "Mark as completed" button. Thus the cycle is repeated.
All I'm trying to figure out is instead of having the formula [<DueDate>]+30 in the Due Date* field within the create task workflow action, I'd like a formula that can choose a specific day of the month. I've tried combinations of cast, concat, timeframe, month, year...expressions to give me the date value I'm looking for (ie 4/15/2011) but I can't get the syntax to work. all I need is that syntax that can provide a specific date (4/15/2011) derived from the due date. -
[Struts]File upload doesnt work with "Create" but works with "CreateInsert"
Hello,
thank you for reading this!
Im facing serious issue with web application built with JSP, Struts & ADF BC in jdeveloper 10.1.3.1 and jdeveloper 10.1.3.2 (same code works perfectly in older jdev versions)
File upload to DB only works if CreateInsert is selected in PageDefinition. (Have to change from default "Create" to "CreateInsert")
If I set "Create" i get this problems:
- if VO is empty the row cannot be created (no error is returned, i click ОК and row is not commited, its just discarded)
- if VO is not empty instead to create new row current row is updated.
This only happens with "multipart/form-data" forms. With plain form row is created without the problem.
If I change to "CreateInsert" then I can add new rows with "multipart/form-data" but i would prefer "Create" because it avoid the blank row issue...
Old 10.1.3 works with "Create" and "multipart/form-data".
Im aware of this problem since the 10.1.3.1 release but I havent posted on the forum because I hoped Oracle is aware of this problem but since the problem remains I decided to react. I do not have the metalink account so only way to address the issue is in this forum.
Please Help.
SanjaI had some problem with 'Create' earlier with 10.1.2. Then I kept recreateing the pages and then it worked finally. How are you creating the page for 'create' event. Is it like, first displaying the rows from the table with create button, or are you right away creating the page from menu option.

Fillable Form Fields Created With Acrobat XI Pro on Mac Won't Save on PCs?
Hi all,
Apologies if this has been covered already, but I've done a search of the forums that have turned up nothing.
Briefly, I have created a fillable form with Acrobat XI Pro on a Mac. The original file was created with InDesign CS6.
Once the fields were created in Acrobat, the file was saved as a Reader Extended PDF.
The problem is that Mac users are able to fill in the fields and save the PDF, while Windows users are not.
Any ideas?

You recommended answer seem to imply that the users are using Preview. When according the OP in that thread makes no mention on Mac except he created the form on Mac everyone else is using a PC. If anyone is using preview that answer would apply. If anyone filled out the form using Preview then follow the advice in the Link
I would say your using possibly the wrong Font or the wrong version of the font. If anyone has Acrobat on a PC open the form on a PC if the form fields appear as though nothing is there, then see if you can change the font used. Just try anything other than what is listed. See if the text appears. If it does then you have a defective font or the Mac and PC don't use the same version.
On Mac, if you have more than one version of a Font Style, say Aerial Italic for example, issues like this invisible text will happen. Macs don't tolerate more than one version of the same Font. You can't have two versions of say Aerial Italic or Helvetica Bold or Courier Bold Italic. PCs you can have 50 copies of the same font and it don't matter. The applications just pick one if it happens to be different then That it.
In Reader or Acrobat you might set to use local Fonts that might clear up the issue On Mac go to Preferences and Page Display:
Check use local Fonts. -
Does only Adobre Reader "reads" the fields of a PDF when created with Acrobat?
I created a PDF with several fields and exported it.
Then I tried to open it with Firefox and the fields didn't appear.
But it works OK with Adobe Acrobat.
Does only Adobre Reader "reads" the fields of a PDF when created with Acrobat?Adobe software reads form fields. The rules for how to do form fields are a part of the PDF standard (a book available to anyone) but some companies ignore it and others do half a job. To be safe, use only Adobe Reader. And beware of browsers that ignore Adobe Reader even if you have it.

The Adobe Forms was created with Disable Fields!
Hi All,
I am new in Adode Interactive Forms ABAP. I am trying to implement a simple scenario using Web Services published by RFC on ABAP side and simple form with one field MATNR to bring a Description MARKT, and button to call the Web Services. I configured ADS on Server, installed Adobe LifeCycle 8 and SAP GUI 7.1. I created the Adobe Form and it was actived.
My issue is, when a run the program to generate a PDF, using the FMu2019s 'FP_JOB_OPEN'
, 'FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME', CALL FUNCTION i_funcname, the Adobe Forms was created with disables fields. I canu2019t fill it and canu2019t press the button to call WS on ECC.
Could you help me?
Thank you!

SAP Consultant NetweaverHi fabio,
When you say the example ran successfully is it without any error messages..?
Did you check in spool "SP01" if there something sitting out there.
To my understanding PDF rendring is dependent in 2 aspects.
1) the output device type you select (this should be a PDF enabled printer)
2) Programatically if you say it should go to a printer or spool.
Just try with FP_TEST_00 either in sfp or SE38 and try both print preview and print.
in print priview it should display the PDF on the screen.
In print it should display as success message and in spool it should have the corresponding PDF. if both are working fine then the ADS and output device config are correct and it all depends on how do you handle the PDF output.
Just try the above approach and post the results,
Cheers, -

How to make metadata fields required when creating folders
Hello all....
Related issue with SR 3-6472229431 and SR 3-6471130611.
We're using DIS 11.1.6 64-bits (2011_11_29 (rev 9756) 11.1.6.97) in a Windows 7 64-bits workstation (with UCM 11.1.1.5 in a Linux machine). The check-in of images to UCM goes fine.
I'm trying to make some metadata fields required when creating a folder. These fields are required when making a check-in, but not when creating folders.
Folders_g is enabled. DesktopTag too.
EDIT: Patch: 14695303 - WCC 11.1.1.5.0 BUNDLE ( MLR 16 ) NOV 6 2012 applied.
Is it possible?
Thanks for all.
Edited by: fgomes on 22/11/2012 03:24After reading your response and rereading the original question a bit closer, the metadata prompting feature does not apply to creating new folders, only content.
Again, though, I think the focus here is in the wrong place. The metadata applied to a folder is intended to be ultimately applied to the content. You can build global rules that fire on submission of content to check if a field has a value, and throw an error if the value is empty.
If you expect users to create folders (and actually apply any metadata to the actual folder itself), you will be disappointed. Experience shows that users are not interested in that level of detail when creating content, let alone folders. Letting typical users create folders is a bad idea anyway, as they tend to create the same inefficient folder structures they previously created in file shares within Content Server.
If you need to tightly control folder attributes, you'll be better served by locking down the ability to create new folders. Otherwise you're looking at some type of customization. Keep in mind that you won't be able to customize the right click behavior of DIS. Any changes to DIS would have to be an enhancement request. -

If BP is created with sales area, it doesn't reach R/3
Hi,
In our CRM 5.0 system, if we create a BP only with general information (name, address etc.), it reaches R/3 fine. But if I create a BP with general information & sales area info at the same time & then save it, problems...
An entry is created in SMW01 with queue name SEE_TABLE_SMW3_BDOCQ. This entry has two rows of data. One INSERT entry for creating BP general info, and one UPDATE entry for sales area data. I can see the update entry as first row.
I think what is happening is, when this bdoc is processed, first UPDATE entry is processed. Unfortunately since the customer is not created in R/3 by that time, bdoc gets an error "Business partner 0001234567 does not exist as customer, change not possible".
And bdoc is not processed, BP doesn't go to R/3.
Any idea how can this be corrected?
Regards,
KaushalDid you check the mandatory fields on R/3 with respect to sales area data? As a quick test make all R/3 sales area fields for that account group as optional and try to upload
Thanks,
