Folder Functionality in custom form

Does anyone know the exact steps to add Folder functionality to a registered custom form in Oracle OE? I see all the folder items in the appstand.fmb but don't what steps to take. Is it even possible to do this?
Also, how do I add a "folder set" in the application.

Hi,
APPFLDR contains all the packages that enable folder blocks.
But Oracle Applications does not support use of this library for custom development.
You can go through the Oracle Applications user guide under the topic called
"Customizing the presentation of data" for adding the folder set.

    But when I try to open any folder in my form all the fields get disabled.

    see the file upload component in ADF Faces. SRDemo contains an example of how to upload files to the middle tier. Same is explained in the documentation

  • How to enable File- Export  menu item in custom Form

    I have created a custom form.The File->Export menu item is disable by default.how can i enable this menu item? I have tried
    APP_SPECIAL.ENABLE('FILE.EXPORT',PROPERTY_ON) at block level (when-new-block-instance ) and form level trigger(when-new-form-instance) but not able to enable the same.

    While accessing the custom forms in release 12i we are facing the popup error and the form is not getting opened up: "Function Not available to this responsibility. Change Responsibilities or Contact your System Administrator"...
    I check the custom top path in $APPL_TOP/admin/adovars.env... its fine there..
    but the $Apache_top is not there...
    can u plz tell me the solution....

    If ur referring to forms, u need to search in appropriate forum, as this forum is only for OAF queries, and if its realted to OAF page, check the the function of oa page is attached to the specific responsibilty .

  • Unable to save using custom form in Public folder?

    Hi,
    Years ago I created a custom form for a Public calendar folder.  Recently I was asked to update that custom form, which I did.  Then I published it to the Public folder and changed the properties of the folder to use the new form as the default.
    This all seemed to work, when we create a new record we get the custom form.  Problem is when we try to Save & Close I get the following error message:
    "The item cannot be saved to this folder.  The folder was deleted or moved, or you do not have permission.  Do you want to save a copy of it in the default folder for the item."
    If I hit "Yes" I think it saves in my personal calendar folder, if I hit "No" it just goes away.
    I've been Googling this for a number of hours but all I find it reference to an old MS article about the mail box being full, which it isn't.
    If I switch back to the original custom form I can save records all day long.  Which indicates to me that I actually do have rights and that the mail box isn't full.  I have owner rights to this Public calendar.
    Any other thoughts?  I did try clearing the forms cache but that didn't seem to have any affect.
    Incidentally, I was also asked to update a customized form on a different Public calendar folder and that went off without a hitch.

    Make sure you have the right values in the Authentication Plugins in your Custom Form Authentication Scheme. You may have used different field names in your HTML form than the ones that are in your Plugins. Also, make sure the webgate.dll is protected by a Policy Domain. If all is set up right, and it still doesnt work, bounce everything including the IIS server.
    I have seen situations with IIS where changes in the Access Server configuration are not picked up until you bounce the webgate / IIS server. This doesnt seem to be the case with Apache or Sun JSWS.

  • Custom Form Entry and how to properly use it on a folder

    Hello,
    I created a custom form based on an example from coolsolution, and I want to use it in one folder.
    I does select it within folder configuration.
    The problem is that when i create an entry, my form appears, but when I click on OK, it's the old form from the example I found which appears. Then, if I try to modify the entry, I come back to my form, but all the data I entered have been deleted.
    In the form editing tool, I deleted all the old fields (from the example). But still teaming found them somewhere.
    Could you help me and tell in which step I made a mistake ?

    Start with a new form. When in the Form designer, notice there are two primary sections: Form and View
    Add your elements to the Form, for instance a text box.
    Then go into the view and add the same text box (you will see it in the list on the right hand side) to the view.
    Now try to use this form in the folder to create an entry.
    Does it work?

    Hello All,
    We developed a custom form and was working fine in Testing instance.
    Last week testing instance was refreshed.
    After that all the custom forms are not working. Seeded forms are working properly.
    We checked the form setup(ie form, function, menu and we ran compile security and bounced the server).
    Custom reports under the custom top are working fine.
    Only the form functions throwing the error
    "Function is not available for this responsibility".
    Any ideas. Is the test.class having any impact on this.

    I have placed folder fields on stacked canvas (CNV_MEA_LINES) which is on a tab page(CNV_MEA_TAB > MONTHLY_SCHEDULE).

    But Iam unable to figure out how to implement this auto save functionality in this BSP Applicaition. If anyone has worked on this BSP Application <b>HAP_DOCUMENT</b>, can you please tell me how to do this auto save functionality. Is it possible that when I give this popup to save using java script and when the User clicks on OK, can I get the return code for this and use it to trigger the auto save functionality? And where exactly do I have to code this. Because the code here is bit confusing and the pages are called dynamically, even Iam unable to figure out the Button Id. Can anyone please help me out on this. This is a very urgent requirement.

  • How to style a custom form that's been inserted as HTML into Muse

    Apologies in advance if something similar already exists, and as a print-based designer I'm likely to use incorrect terminology.
    I've created a basic website that requires a custom form. I've created this form using dreamweaver as it requires a dropdown and a check box. The unstyled html from DW I then insert into Muse via the 'Insert HTML' function, on a page called 'booking form'
    To style it I did the following...
    - Opened the form I created back in DW and added classes to the labels .formname, and added a class to some terms and conditions that sits somewhere in the form and called that .formsubtext
    - Copied all of this code and inserted it back into Muse via Insert HTML
    - The form shows up unstyled as expected
    - I export the site as HTML
    - Go into the exported folder into the CSS, and into the corresponding css file booking-form.css
    - Added some custom CSS styling to reflect the font and colour I wanted to use
    - Re-uploaded those edited files
    - The result was that it rendered the class .formsubtext reflecting the terms and conditions as it should but not all the other labels
    Would someone be able to tell me a better way to style a custom form or point out what I've done wrong.

    If you have structured your HTML markup for the form well using appropriate class and id names, then you can just add corresponding CSS using the <style> element in the "HTML for <head>" section in Page Properites > Metadata.
    You may also choose to add all the CSS in a separate file and add reference to that in the HTML for <head> section and then upload the CSS file in appropriate location after publish.

    we have a requirement to create folder for material transaction form in inventory.
    they are exporting transaction data from this form to excel file.
    they dont need dublicate value we have created folder for this form and hide some dublicate fileds
    then they need to transaction amout and item description.
    amount field is in the destribution form
    can we export the material transaction details and destribution to one single excel sheet.
    those tow fields are not exporting.
    can we do this using folder functionality plz advice me....
