Folder list appearance - change default?

Is it possible to change or custom design the default folder list appearance on 10.4.5 web server?
The scenario is: folders and files are uploaded via ftp to the server by various parties to a shared web realm.
The domain has folder listing enabled so that others can log into the realm via a browser and view the folder (realms) contents.
The default folder list (as enabled in server admin), displayed via a browser is basic in terms of information, links, logo etc.
Ideally, I would like to custom design the appearance of this. So when folders and files are added, by default, they have a particular font, colour and look.

http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/mod/mod_autoindex.html
Apache's config file offers some flexibility here. If you look at the section under <IfModule mod_autoindex.c>, you will see you can assign icons to items based on their file type. You could create your own icons and point to them instead.
As for changing things like fonts and other appearance issues, you might want to write up a script to actually display the directory contents as an HTML page and use CSS to control how all the items appear.
You might be able to have that level of control just using Apache -- I've just never looked into it.

  • 2720 Fold ; Expense Manager change default currenc...

    Hi
I have just bought a new Nokia 2720 Fold mobile.  It has some interesting features.  However, there is NO information in the user instructions about how to set up and use the Expense Manager or how to change the default currency symbol.
The symbol defaults automatically to $ and there is no apparent way that I have found to change it to £ or any other symbol.  Since Nokia is used worldwide I have no idea why they  would compulsorily make the $ sign a default and unchangeable.  After all not every one lives in the U.S.!
Does anyone know how to change the $ sign to £ or anything else?
    Thanks and regards

    Hi Lukas,
your are right. In the trip schema the default values for a trip can be defined.
All this customizing is under the node "Trip Status" which actually means that these default values only apply if the user calls the subdialog "Trip Status" in PR05.
If the user saves a trip after changing it, then a different status is applied.
Actually this is the result of my testing and not documented as such.
I would like to know if the trip status for the "save" can be customized or if it is hardcoded.
Best Regards and a nice weekend ...

Indeed. Then you'll have to overwrite it programatically in SAPMP56T / MP56TF00 FORM SET_STATUS_TRVPA. You'll see at the end of the Form Routine ABREC is always set to '1', i.e.  ptkxx-wax1x = 'X'. If I was in your shoes, I'd make an implicit enhancement at the of the form routine, clear  ptkxx-wax1x and set  ptkxx-wax0x = 'X'. That should do the trick.

  • How to make your folder list appear at the top when opening a finder window

Sorry if this has been asked before but couldn't find it in the threads... About the only thing I miss from Windows, is the way file mgr displays list in folders, i.e. starting with folders, then listing the files.
Any way we can do this in Leopard?? The closest I get is by displaying content in list, then sort by type, but obviously my Adobe documents are listed before my folders... I'd really love to get my folders on top.
    Thanks for the help!
    Jean-Francois.

FYI, I found this trick posted at another board:
Sorting by kind with folders at the top can be done in Leopard with a little hacking:
    OBLIGATORY WARNING:
If you're not comfortable with this, don't do it!
With that out of the way:
    - navigate to: /System/Library/CoreServices/
    - right-click Finder.app and select Show package contents...
    - navigate to: Contents>Resources>English.lproj
    - backup InfoPlist.strings
    - open the original InfoPlist.strings in a text editor
    - locate the line that says:
    Code:
    "Folder" = "Folder";
    - add a space at the start of the second "Folder":
    Code:
    "Folder" = " Folder";
    - save the file
    - reboot or relaunch Finder
The space in front of "Folder" forces folders to the top of the list when sorting alphabetically by kind.

  • Project folder list not sorted!

    Hi,
I've just downloaded and installed SunStudio 12 on Linux x86. Then I created a new C++ project from existing code pointing SunStudio at my project's source folder which contains many subfolders. Everything went fine except that the list of project folders in the "Projects" tab is not sorted alphabetically. Is there an option to make the folder list appear sorted?
    Thanks
    Vadik

My openSUSE 10.2 system uses "LANG=en_GB.UTF-8" throughout.
Folder names are simple things containing only ASCII characters like "libxyz" and "libabc", etc
BTW, I've also reproduced this issue on several openSUSE 10.2 systems used by my colleagues.

  • Outlook 2011 - I can change default folder?

How i can change default open folder in Outlook 2011 (update 14.1.3)?
And how i can change default incoming mail folder (POP account)?

Here is what worked for me.
    changing the default application server.
    1) Verify that JSC2 is creating a WAR file in the project's dist directory.
    2) Download the Sun Java System Application Server 8.1
    3) Install the application server on another computer. E.g. 192.168.1.110
I changed the default port from 8080 to 80 because I wanted to port forward.
Don't know if this is required.
    4) Start the server! Browse to 192.168.1.110:80 and verify the server started.
    5) Run the admin console (192.168.1.110:4848) and manually deploy the WAR file
If you can't do this, it wont go.
Your browser might appear to get stuck. Wait for it to finish! Check your logs for errors.
If you get stuck, doublecheck that the server directory isn't write-protected.
    Test with a browser 192.168.1.110:80/ProjectName
    6) Tell JSC2 about the new server
Servers Tab -> Remote Servers -> rightclick -> Add Remote Server...
Select the right kind of server (Sun Java System Application Server 8.1)
    Admin Host: 192.168.1.110
    Admin Port: 4848
    Username: admin or whatever
    Password: shhhhh!
    7) Configure JSC2 to deploy the project to a different server during testing.
Projects Tab -> Right-click the project -> Properties -> Run -> select the new server.
    8) Click the little green triangle and it should deploy and start a browser to test.
    Trouble-shooting:
    - Problems will occur if you attempt to do things to fast. Don't cancel out of operations.
    - Don't modify any of you build.xml files
    - Don't compress the war file
    - Restart everything if you hit a problem
    - Don't ask me, I don't know anything about it. I just fiddled with it till it worked.
    - Turn off Netlimiter! (or any other bandwidth manager)
    - Turn off Antivirus monitoring software (stuff runs faster - security rish though)

  • How do I get multiple folders to appear again on an external drive after I accidentally did a 'remove' from my folder list?

    Help please!
I accidentally did a right click remove of my folders on an external drive. The external drive shows in my folders list, but none of the folders that are still on it.
The photos are still in the folders on the drive and in their folders.  I tried an import to make the folders appear, and LR sees all the photos as existing in the catalog, so it knows about the photos.  And LR does not re-import them.
Just want to have the folders show up again in my folder list on the left.
Anyone know how to fix this error I made? Thank you.

For anyone interested, I had to add a folder to my external drive, then right click it and select SHOW PARENT FOLDER.  Thank you ADOBE SUPPORT, I am so relieved, feel stupid, but relieved.

  • Attributes for Printing Lists - Change Defaults or Create Presets?

Print dialog allows one to choose "attributes" to be included when printing the Style "Lists". The defaults that are checked are not the ones I want.
Tried to create and save a Preset w/ boxes checked. The selections do not stick.
How to do this? In a plist file? (Looked - don't see it).
    Thanks.

    Hi Michael,
sy-lsind is the list-id. If you set it to 0 or 1 it jumps (when using BACK)
    to the first output-list.
Here a short demo-code to understand it.
Make severeal time doubleclick in the outputline and
    look at the changing output.
    try it with:
    sy-lsind = 1
    and
    sy-lsind = 1.
    REPORT ZGRO_TEST1.
data: dc type i value 1.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
      WRITE: / 'List:', dc, 'SY-LSIND:', SY-LSIND.
      HIDE:    SY-LSIND.
    AT LINE-SELECTION.
      dc = dc + 1.
    sy-lsind = 1.
      WRITE: / 'List:', dc, 'SY-LSIND:', SY-LSIND.

    Hope it helps.

  • How do I fix my ichat? My buddy list appears, but whenever I try to click on a buddy to chat, IChat won't let me. Nothing appears. When I try to click on "File" - "New Chat" Also nothing appears. What's wrong?

My buddy list appears, but whenever I try to click on a buddy to chat, IChat won't let me. Nothing appears. It won't let me chat regularly via text, or by video/audio chat. Even when I click on File -> New Chat, still nothing shows up! But, when I look at how many chats I have open, it says I have "X" amount of chats open! But nothing is there.........
If somebody tries to video chat me from my buddy list, I can see the request.... and then the video chat will work. But I cannot request anybody and if they send me a regular text ichat, ichat won't deliver it to me.
Somebody please help me I've tried so many things and nothing is working!!!!! :/

    Hi,
This sounds like it is about Window positions.
iChat has Default places for Incoming Invites.
Video is always top Center of your Screen
Audio and Text chats are Upper right with the Audio slightly lower than Text Chats.
Secondary invites are sort of Stacked like when you open multiple files from the same App.
Your outgoing Windows are "Remembered" as to where the last one was when you used it.
This can be an issue if you use your Mac with a second display and turn Off Mirroring.
You windows can get "left" on the other screen.
Go to System Preferences > Displays and turn On Mirroring and the windows should come back to one Screen/display.
If this does not help go to your Home Folder/Library/Preferences and delete (Drag to Trash) com.apple.ichat.plist and restart iChat.
Unfortunately you will need to reset any iChat Preferences you have changed from defaults.

If you're having trouble making changes to files that are inside your home folder (represented by a house icon in the sidebar of a Finder window), or if you can't get changes to the settings of an application to stick, then please see below.
    Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, they may not work as described.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR..; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_; chmod -R -N ~ $_; } 2>&-
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take a few minutes to run, or perhaps longer if you have literally millions of files in your home folder. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password dialog will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
In the dialog, select the startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if it's not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if it's not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • How to change default view for folders?

Whenever I create a new folder, the view always defaults to icons with the Sidebar visible. I want all newly created folders to open in list view, and I don't want to see the Sidebar. Can anyone tell me how to change the defaults? Thanks...

I'm not sure how to make it default, but I think you may be able to get rid of the sidebar for a whole session (you probably have to get rid of it again once you've restarted).
Just disable the sidebar by clicking in the little white ellipse/oval thingie in the top right corner of a new finder window. Then when you open new windows, or open folders in that one, they should all come up without sidebars, and in the same format. I hope that works for you, but honestly I don't know why you wouldn't want the handy sidebar

  • Change default logon/startup/lock screen in windows 8 pro

    Hi,
I want to change my default logon screen, the one that appears when I boot. I have changed the lock screen within my account, but I can't change the one (that I beleive is) for the default user. I have seen some complicated steps to copy over a file
in systemdata folder for the default user profile, but It seems really awful to do it in my notebook (which is not joined to a domain, and it is Windows 8 Pro). So, is there a simple way to do it? Why my personalized lock screen isn't shown?
    Regards,
    MarianoC.

Thanks MarianoC, you got me closer to solving my lock screen problem.  Sorry about your lock screen presets issue, glad that is not an issue for me, as I see you have given up.  I wanted to post my more detailed solution description
here, since this was one of the fist places I landed while researching this.
I fixed mine by replacing the default Lock Screen image files.
You can find them here C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\SystemData\S-1-5-18\ReadOnly
Caution---You have to have hidden files visible, and you also have to understand how to take ownership of folders and assign ownership and permissions (it's not that difficult, search if
    you don't know how).
    I had 2 folders in that location W and Z;
The W folder already had my selected Lock Screen picture.
The W folder may have been the result of a previous tweak I tried, it had the newer photo I had selected already, if your W doesn’t have your photo and you have issues maybe replace it too.
If you don’t have a W folder I wouldn’t sweat it for now.
I had my luck with the Z folder, it contained the default space needle picture in 2 versions; dimmed and plain (I didn't look for a visual difference).
I replaced both of them with my chosen lock screen picture.
    There are 2 ways to do this;
1st is to rename your original file (add a 1 to the name, you can go back to original easier this way). Replace it with picture of your choosing with the exact same name as original.
You must assign full permission to the system account.
Warning. This method seems safer but I could not figure out how to assign permission to the trusted installer account, which existed previously for this file, this could inhibit some future compatibility.
2nd way preserves system and trusted installer permissions.
Create your lock screen pictures in a separate folder, with exactly the same names as your 2 original files.
Copy/Paste the files into the Z folder, you will get asked to replace existing.
If you say yes it should preserve security settings but update the photo.

  • ITunes Media folder moving from the default (I'm not using an external drive)

I tried for a long time to find the answer to this problem, but all the posts I saw from people asking similar questions were from those who were trying to relocate their iTunes Media folder to another hard drive. I'm just trying to change it to somewhere else on the same hard drive. Each time I move the folder and change the location though, as soon as I close iTunes and open it again, it resets the location.
I just won't want the iTunes folder to appear in my Music folder. It keeps recreating the folder there and changing it back to the default. How do I fix this?

Hi All, having ran out of space on my hard drive I read the above and decided to give it a go as it seemed so simple. Unfortunately having copied the entire iTunes folder to my external drive and then launching iTunes pressed the option key and nothing happened. My iTunes itself linked up with the cloud and showed me a tiny amount of my music. I went to preferences / advanced settings and changed the location manually, this still didn't work. It seems (from spending time looking at the new iTunes folder and looking at the one that i had placed in the trash various, that my computer in its inevitable wisdom hand left out various sub folders). So now i am trying to fix this. I still want my iTunes folder on my external but i want it to work which it is not. Help please. I would not describe myself as a computer or Apple whizz kid by any stretch of the imagination and so need answers to be relatively simple or just in non computer lingo!! cheers all, any help is much appreciated

Thanks. That will also be nice in that I won't have to re-do all of my saved screensets every time.
Is there an easy way to open templates? I ask because Logic requires them to be saved to the "Project Template" folder, whereas I have all of my music stuff saved on an external firewire drive. Also, templates don't appear to show up under the "open recent" menu so I'm wondering if I'm going to have to go into that folder every time I need to use that template.

  • To Retrive Folder List in SAP MII 12.0

Is there any option available in SAP MII 12.0 to retrieve List of Folders Available same as like Folder List Query in 11.5.

    Hello,
try an XML Query with the following URL:
    /XMII/Illuminator?Mode=TransactionFolderList&Server=XacuteConnector&Content-Type=text/xml
Filter the result by its "ParentPath" column to get a list of folders inside a provided parent folder. Make sure that you have increased the default query row count of 100 to get all folders on your system.
Hope this helps - good luck!
