Font size in  Chart Value Axis & Category Axis In VC 7.0

in visual composer  i want  the font size should be big size in  chart value axix and category axis ?

i think the only way to do that right now would be to not input any text for a Table or chart title , or maybe put in a blank space for it
and then create a transparent form , in that transparent form add the HTML text, have it formatted to the size and color you want and then in the layout tab position it in such a way which it looks like the title of that chart
i have this implemented in a few of my dashboards  where i require dynamic text it works well

  • Default font size for a value in a table in Answers

    Hi,
    I am trying to set a default font size for a column of table view in Answers, so that when I create a new report, this default font size is used. Can someone please point me to the file where I can make this change?
    Thanks

    Well if you have a tag like this:
    element.style {
    background-color:#FFFFFF;
    font-size:9px;
    It means it's coming from the formatting in the request in Answers...not from a style sheet! You'll note in Firebug, that there's actually no *.css file mentionned. I.e. example from here:
    element.style {
    color:#00AF00;
    .OORD {views.css (line 1574)
    text-align:right;
    .PTE {views.css (line 1077)
    background-color:#FFFFFF;
    First part element.style comes from my conditional formatting and doesn't reference any css file
    The other two elements are from the views.css which control my pivot table.
    See the difference?
    Cheers,
    C.

  • BIP11g chart formatting font size at Title Llabel and Axis

    We have recently migrated from 10g to 11g,
    and we noticed that after migration the graphs have many differences.
    specially with the font size at Title , label and axis.
    Even though we have specified font size , it always seems to take its own font size.
    Some times the font are very very small.
    We also tried autoLayout="AL_NEVER" but it also dont work,
    not only that the with autoLayout="AL_NEVER, the graph moves very close to the title.
    How can we force the font size right for Title , label and axis.
    Thanks,

    There is a function to manage the Word and Excell Legend Font Size:

  • Category Axis width in BubbleCharts

    Hi @ all,
    I trie to build up a BubbleChart with a vertical
    CategoryAxis.
    And worked quiet well until I wanted to change the font-size.
    I realized, that the Axis seems to have a fixed width. When the
    label at the Axis gets to long, it shrinks down the font-size
    automatically instead of increasing the axis width.
    Is there a way solve that?
    Many Thanks,

    Hi All,
    I'm having a problem when i try to use a Pie Chart with a store procedure
    when Category Axis - Field value is "none", the chart appears, but the description say Undefined
    but when i put any field from store procedure, the chart doesn't show.
    when I try the same with a normal SQL statement, all data was displayed
    my store procedure only have 2 columns

    state - text
    The Store Procedure and the SQL, returns the same data in the same order

  • Offset in Category axis when in Column chart : Numbers

    Hi,
    Is there a way we can offset x-axis in a column chart? To give an example, I want to plot x=1,2,3 vs y=-1,0,1.
    However, Instead of x-axis starting at '0', I want to have it start at -2. In this way, I can have an increasing order graph rather than inverting one.
    I know it can be done in excel, but any idea if it can be done in Numbers?
    Thx,
    Swapnil.

    Not something that Numbers will do without a little coercion and subterfuge).
    Modification to the Table:
    Column C added to contain the 'shifted' values for Y.  =B+2
    Column C selected as values to be charted. Category labels are picked up from Column A (a Header column).
    Modifications to the chart:
    Value labels on Y axis NOT displayed.
    Y axis Max set to 3.5, Steps set to 7.
    Text box added to contain labels to match bar heights to original (unshifted) values.
    Line shape added to mark Y value of 0.

  • Converting the category axis to a value axis

    Is it possible to convert the category (x) axis to a value axis?
    I have a set of measurements (18 total) spaced over 116 days.
    I know how to "force it" by constructing "categories" for the numbers 1 thru 116.
    But, that can be clumsy and time-consuming to setup.
    Thanks, Bob

    Hi Bob,
    The only chart type in Numbers with two value axes is the Scatter chart.
    Category charts pick up their category axis labels from a Header column.
    Scatter charts require that the values for each data point be paired in two regular (ie. non-header) columns.
    So, to do the converson you'll have to:
    move (or copy) the dates (which must be actual Date and Time values) into a body column.
    move (or copy) the measurement values into a column to the right of the dates
    Select those two columns of data
    construct the scatter chart.
    Regards,
    Barry

  • Can we reverse the category axis in Design Studio 1.3 column charts?

    Hi All,
    In WebI, there is an option to reverse the category axis for charts.
    Do we have something similar in Design Studio? I have a requirement to reverse the order in which labels are appearing in the chart.
    Please do help.
    Thanks in advance for your response,

    Sarah,
    You can go to Edit > Initial View and change the sort.
    Would this work for you?

  • Assign Slider value to X-Axis of a barChart

    Hi,
    I have a Rangeslider.
    On PropertyChange it gives back 2 Values.
    Lets take for example 1 and 9.
    Now i have a BarChart and i want the values assign on my X-Axis which is a Category Axis.
    If we assume the RangeSlider gives back 1 and 9, I then have the values 1 2, 3, 4, 5 ... 9 on my X-Axis.
    When i change the Slider and get new Values i want the values on my X-Axis automatically change too.
    How do i do this? How do i get the Data of the X Axis ? When i try to remove children of my BarChart i get java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException.
    I have no idea. Thanks for any help.

    You don't mention what version of LV you are using. If you are or can
    use L
    V6, then you can do this with the Waveform datatype. The waveform
    is an semi-opaque datatype that includes a timestamp with one or more
    measured values. Since you can wire it to a chart, you can accumulate
    discontiguous data. In a normal acquire and chart application that now
    returns a waveform and you send it to the chart, the irregular sampling
    automatically shows up. If you are reading them from file, then you can
    pretty easily bundle the evenly sampled portions together into one
    waveform, then start another to skip ahead when you find a skip.
    If you are stuck using a previous version, then I'm afraid you
    will need to use an XY graph, possibly with the accumulation functions
    in the example I recently listed or use your own shift registers and
    build array.

  • LineChart category axis labelFunction / dataProvider problem

    Hi,
    I am trying to plot a line chart using actionscript.
    What I am trying to achive is plot the chart with entire dataset, but show only limited number of points in x and y axis's.
    Problem:
         When I give dataProvider to category axis with some limited values, nothing gets plotted .
    Explaination:
         In the attached main.mxml file
                    var lineCategoryXAxis:CategoryAxis = new CategoryAxis();
                    //lineCategoryXAxis.dataProvider = getDatePointsArray(datesArray);
                    lineCategoryXAxis.categoryField = "DATE";
                    lineCategoryXAxis.labelFunction = lineCategoryXAxisLabelFunction;
                    lineChart.horizontalAxis = lineCategoryXAxis;
    Here, I am giving category axis for x-axis. Linechart takes care of values in the vertical axis by itself and so the line chart gets plotted properly.
    But when I try giving values to vertical axis, then nothing is plotted in the line chart.
                    var lineCategoryYAxis:CategoryAxis = new CategoryAxis();
                     lineCategoryYAxis.dataProvider = getNumericPointsArray(valuesArray)
                     //lineCategoryYAxis.categoryField = "VALUE";
                     lineCategoryYAxis.labelFunction = lineCategoryYAxisLabelFunction;
                     lineChart.verticalAxis = lineCategoryYAxis;
    Also if I try to reduce the number of points in the x-axis, nothing gets plotted
                   var lineCategoryXAxis:CategoryAxis = new CategoryAxis();
                     lineCategoryXAxis.dataProvider = getDatePointsArray(datesArray);
                     lineCategoryXAxis.labelFunction = lineCategoryXAxisLabelFunction;
                     lineChart.horizontalAxis = lineCategoryXAxis;
    where getNumericPointsArray() returns an array with 7 values for vertical axis and getDatePointsArray() returns array with 7 dates for horizontal axis.
    Need help in resolving this problem.
    P.S: Unable to attach mxml file so attaching it as a txt file.

    As you can see in the code, my dataPovider is complex (can become much more complex). In the code above, the ArrayCollection has only one element currently but will have more. So the graph should be plotted in such a way that each array element corresponds to one line series.
    What I need to achive is that the horizontal axis should show dates only from the "0th" element of the ArrayCollection and that too only some limited 6-7 points, the rest of the ArrayCollection elements should get plotted according to these dates.
    I think I was able to explain my problem. Pls let me know if any more explaination is required.
    P.S. Re-attaching the file.
    Thanks in advance

  • Grouping the chart data on x-axis

    Hi,
    I am trying to plot some points on the Plot Chart. I want to
    show the Text as my x-axis, so I am using
    <mx:horizontalAxis>
    <mx:CategoryAxis
    id="a1"
    dataProvider="{expenses}"
    categoryField="Month"
    />
    </mx:horizontalAxis>
    in my code for x-axis. Now I want to plot all y-axis items
    under the same x-axis one if they are from the same 'Month' (used
    for horizontal axis). If I try to do this, I am getting more values
    on the x-axis that have same 'Month' name. Is there any way I can
    fix this problem?
    Any help would be of great help.
    I am also attaching the sample example.

    I am sorry but the whole thing makes no sense.
    What is the effect of x-axis category grouping?
    How can I aggregate info by date, i.e. in the same month or same year
    count should be added up?
    How can I show on the x-axis (time) the aggregate values?
    I just made a report with no x-axis categories, data grouped by year
    summing, and the graph that came out was with axis showing months but
    with only one bar value.
    Are there bugs in this or I just don't understand the concepts behind it?
    With time series data I would have thought the MOST OBVIOUS thing that
    people would want are:
    - aggregations over different time periods:
    - days
    - weeks
    - months
    - quarters (doesn't seem to be supported)
    - half-years (doesn't seem to be supported)
    - years
    - time axis should be linear in time - just because there are no
    values in March 2007 for example it should still have a bar which should
    show a 0 value and it should show up (currently at best it leaves a gap)
    - time axis should be relevant to the aggregation
    - grouped by years, axis should show 2005, 2006, 2007, ...
    - grouped by months, axis should show Jan 2005, Feb 2005, ....
    - currently it doesn't
    A lot of the time people just want to say give a bunch of sales info
    which is a date and a number (number of units sold on that date or
    whatever) and they want to be able to produce graphs of different
    granularity.
    Is this possible? I've been playing with this thing for weeks and can't
    get it to do this reliably.
