Font warning when running swing apps

I am seeing this warning when I run my swing app using JRE 1.4.0.
Any ideas on how to get fix this?

Where is status bar when running iphone app

I've updated my iPad Mini to iOS 7 and now when I run iPhone apps I don't see the status bar (time and battery level etc). It used to show in iOS 6.
I see the status bar fine when running iPad apps, just not iPhone apps.

I don't know which app your using but you can try deleting it and reinstalling it from the cloud. If it's in iPhone mode, you should see the 2x but when you switch it to 2x yes the option seems to disappear to go back to 1x when you are using IOS 7.
I lost the 1x on one of my apps but when I removed and reinstalled, it was there again. The time was showing at the top when I reinstalled it again from the cloud.

Keyboard Problem while running Swing App on LINUX

Hi All,
We have a Swing based Application running on Windows Platform. We need to run the Application on LINUX. The Application does not have any problem and runs without problems for a few minutes but after that the keyboard stops to respond inside the application. Keyboard runs fine outside the application but no key events are recognized inside the application. Mouse is working fine even after the keyboard stops responding.
Key Points:
�     The keyboard is a PS/2 keyboard.
�     Read Hat Fedora 5.0 is being used.
�     The problems occur on both KDE and GNONE.
�     The Java Version is jdk1.5.0_09
The application is data entry application using EJB at server side. The client UI has lot of JTables and Desktop Panes/ Internal Frames. User use ctrl+tab, ctrl+shift+tab, tab, shift+tab, and other hot keys to navigate between Components. Listeners on keyboard Focus Owner are also used. We are unable to diagnose the problem because of the undeterminable nature of the problem. The problem occurs at anytime and does not occur on any special key/ combinations press.

I've just installed the JDK 1.4 on my debian box. I
can compile and run a basic Hello World app using
System.println, but when I try to run a simple swing
app, I get an error like:

at java.lang.... etc, etc.
It goes on with about 30 different classes. It
compiles fine, with no errors, but when it comes time
to run, that's what I get. This is what I have in my

I may just be crazy, but your PATH looks a little screwy to me. I was under the impression that the standard java installation has its executables in the 'bin' directory, not the 'BIN' directory. Unless Debian has fallen to the evil empire, then I'm fairly sure file names are case-sensitive. I don't know if that will fix your problem though. Do you compile from the command line, or do you use an IDE???

Missing fonts warning when opening a Keynote file

I'm using Keynote 2.0.2 on a Mini Mac. Having searched for an answer to the ubiquitous "Missing Font" problem when opening a Keynote file, I was wondering if upgrading to the latest version would solve this problem. Unless it does, we would have to think twice about upgrading the software. A lot of users seem to have the problem with version 3 too. Does anyone have a solution to this? The presentation runs perfectly well, but the warning message is annoying and doesn't look nice when presenting to clients. HELP!

I've experience this same problem multiple times. There is a way to get rid of the troublesome font, thereby getting rid of the annoying message. I may be glossing over a step or two, but it goes something like this:
(1) In the Finder, right click on the Keynote file and select "Show Package Contents"
(2)Locate the index.apxl.gz file and open it. The file exands -- then open the index.apxl file with Textedit (or Word). Throw away the gz file.
(3) Do a search and replace -- find all instances of the troublesome font name and replace it with a non-troublesome font name, such as GillSans
(4) Close the text file.
Opening the Keynote file should now proceed normally. Note: Better practice this on a dummy file until you are sure everything works. I imagine that if you muck up the index file that the orignial Keynote file might be toast!

XML PrintSelectedInvoices completes with warning when run as child request

I have converted the print selected invoices to xml and it runs fine when run by itself through SRS but it fails when it is submitted as a child request ( when it gets run as a child request when Invoice import and print program is run). Here is the problem:
1)When request is submitted, through SRS it passes fine and while submitting I find the template name,template language in theoptions button: Upon completion �Window:(UNDER LAYOUT section)
2)BUT When request is submitted as child request it fails and while submitting this; Ifind that there is no information in the layout section in the options: Uponcompletion �Window:(UNDER LAYOUT SECTION).You will see that there is notemplate name,template language etc. and details picked in the Upon Completionwindow under OPTIONS buton in SRS.

"Incomplete font" warning when packaging a file in InDesign CS5.5?

When I package a file, any fonts that appear with an "incomplete font" warning, are not collected. But these fonts aren't incomplete at all—I have installed them from the file that I purchased from Linotype (Helvetica Neue). Can someone please tell me how to make this warning go away and have InDesign recognise that the font is in fact complete?

"Helvetica Neue" ... are you working on a Mac?
I'm asking this because Mac OS X comes with a Helvetica Neue installed -- in fact it's part of the required System set. But Apple decided the font was not good enough as it was, and made a couple of changes to it to make it work "better", and in doing so they broke a couple of things that fonts need to get printed correctly. So everyone's advice is to steer well away from using the System version of Helvetica Neue on a Mac.

as I suggest you very carefully and thouroughly double- then triple-check that you are, in fact, using your own Helvetica Neue instead of the system one.

Warning when running FBICR3

When running FBICR3 I get this warning
Display categories open items and recivables contain some of the same data records

If is only a warning and the reports is correct, but the warning is irretating....how can I avoid the warning ?
Another question, I have set up ICR on our test system/sandbox. When we start on our Development system and I set up ICR, is everything transportable ?, or do we have to open for customizing on our PRD system, to implement ICR ?

Hello Rafael,
No, it is not necessary to run FBIC004 before importing the customizing. But you may have to run it afterwards.
You always have to run FBIC004 in update mode the first time after you import customizing if you want to use process 003. The table group FBICRC003 is not delivered as active in the posting framework.
You also have to run FBIC004 in update mode if you added additional fields since the last run of FBIC004 in the productive system. You should avoid making changes to the additional fields in the production system if possible.

Warning when running a downloaded application

I recently downloaded and "installed" (i.e, dragged to the /Application folder) BlueJ, a Java IDE mainly used for educational purposes.
Now, whenever I run the app, I can see some window for a very short time - it looks like the warning that the app was downloaded that OS X displays upon the first run - but the strange thing is that the warning immediately disappears, and BlueJ is launched.
Any idea why this is happening? I should probably mention that I chowned the installation folder to root:wheel, so that it is no longer writable for my user account. This might be the reason for the warning to appear every time a launch the app, but even in that case, the app shouldn't just start without further confirmation by the user.

Ok, I found out that I was wrong, and the warning that pops up for a short moment is not the "The app was downloaded from the internet" warning.
If the BlueJ.app is not owned by root:wheel, but by my account, both warnings appear: The download-warning shows up normally and waits for confirmation, the other one pops up and disappears so quickly that I'm not able to read it.
I think I read something about network connections and whether I want to allow something or not, but I'm not sure.
Does anyone have an idea what this warning could be about and/or how I could manage to read it?

Though I did not use forms 3.0, you can try using on-logon trigger (if it exists in 3.0)
At on-logon trigger write logon('username@connectstring', 'password'). Then mentioning (id/pass) is not required with runforms30. Check it out!

MBP overheating when running any app using webcam - Skype - Photobooth

My MacBook Pro (2007) overheats each time when using skype. checked and the same applies to photobooth.
My MBP's screen was freezing up as the unit heated up using Skype. I initially thought it was the purchase of a 2560X1440 monitor forcing my graphics card to work harder but the problems are replicated even without my external monitor.
Apple replaced my motherboard/graphics card for the second time yesterday as it was apparently among the defective nVidia units. I took the opportunity to upgrade my hard-drive to 500GB (from 320). My fans and heat sinks were also cleared of all dust.
I restored my system from time machine.
When running skype or photobooth, the unit immediately begins to heat-up again.
I have checked the forums and have installed fan-control to no avail. I have also checked activity monitor with the following results:
Initially mdcontrol and mds were running 90%+ cpu causing temperatures to spike up over 90 celsius (190+ fahrenheit). they have dropped off now, seems spotlight index needed to be finished after restoring my system.
With a test of photo booth now, it uses 76% of CPU. Temperature rapidly ramped up to over 74 Celsius (161) with fans at over 5400 RPM. I also have a massive 22cm laptop cooling fan to help out. The system stays at these high temperatures as long as the webcam is running using photobooth or skype. The system drops to "normal" temperatures immediately after dropping webcam useage.
I have also added an external webcam to see if the problem repeats (Logitech C510). The problem seems worse with temperatures immediately spiking to over 95 degrees Celsius (203 fahrenheit). It is an HD camera so i guess it needs more processing bandwidth.
I would add that the temperature spike is occurring on CPU A (according to iStat Nano). The GPU Diode rises to but did not jump over 70 Celsius.
The problem thus appears to be software linked.
I use skype continuously for work so this is a major issue. There has been a recent update to Skype but my machine was running hot and crashing before then as well.
At least now with the new board it is not immediately crashing my machine but it is only a matter of time until it begins to fail as well.
Is anybody else having these problems? Any fixes? This is not normal, it did not occur in the past (at least I don't recall this).

Thanks will look at disabling spotlight. I don't use safari so there should not be a problem there.
Main issue is still Skype (can replicate effect with photobooth). Seems that webcam use and skype (iSight or external webcam) will rapidly spike temperatures and cpu use.
One of the threads mentioned the OnyX utility helping solve the issues. I ran this to clear a lot of things from my machine.
It seems to have solved many of the issues (though I don't know which was the culprit). Whatever it was came from my original user files/settings as these were the only elements I transferred following my full reformat and reinstall.
My machine - with fan control and external laptop cooling fan - now stays below 70 degrees though the internal fans are then running at 5700rpm (aggressive settings used). CPU use for Skype at around 76%. Just had a 20 min skype call to test that.
So OnyX may have solved the problem. My thanks to the developers. May have been able to save replacing the mother board and a full reinstall as a result.

Warning when running Disk Utility

I installed Snow Leopard without issue on Friday, but when I run Disk Utility on my hard drive, I get the following message:
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
I never received this message under Leopard. Can anyone tell me if it is a problem I can overlook or a more serious issue? Anything I can do to fix it? Thanks so much!

"File download - security warning" when running a report

Hi all,
Few of our users are having an error on their PCs when trying to run a report in Internet Explorer 8 with Adobe Reader 10.1.3 installed on their PCs. The error is:
"File Download - Security Warning"
Do you want to save this file, or find a program online to open it?

Find Save Cancel
Other users are able to run the reports. They have IE8 and Adobe Reader 10.1.2 installed. Any ideas why this problem might occur?

Iphoto running slowly, Macbook Pro also very slow when running multiple apps

Iphoto has become almost impossible to use. I keep seeing the loading rainbow coloured circle every few seconds. Same with preview. Please help!

When you see a beachball cursor or the slowness is especially bad, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
