For All Serious Burning Issues!!

If you are having serious burning issues and error messages, and after you have freed up atleast 5 gb of HD space on your STARTUP drive (Startup is the drive that your OS is running on) then go to:
http://superdrive.cynikal.net/
and download the appropriate Superdrive firmware for your computer. i have used this site several times. Make sure you follow the directions. This is a major change to the software that runs inside of your superdrive, but it usually does the trick for me when I have issues. If you have previously updated your firmware, and are now having issues, go back to the original firmware and see if that works, (it usually does for me). I have updated several times, and never had any issues. My superdrive is atleast 2 and a half years old with heavy use.
Not sure if Apple approves of doing this, but they don't seem to ever be very helpful with error messages, so this is the best solution for me.

Not really. You only need enough space to cover the amount of data being burned to the disc, which in most cases is 4.7 gb. You will need more if you are burning larger dvd's and/or dual layer. For years, I have only kept roughly 5 gb available on my system and haven't had any problems.

  • Removing ownership & permissions for all files burned to a DVD?

    Hello,
I am new to the concept of "ownership & permissions". Do they apply to files burned to DVD or just the files on the computer? I would like to burn some files onto a DVD for backup and I do not want to copy the "ownership & permissions" settings of the files - I just need to backup the files only. I would like to back the files up for a year or two and I am concerned that in the future I may not remember my usernames or passwords to access these files from the burned DVD.
Do "ownership & permissions" apply to files burned onto a DVD? Or does the DVD burning process erase the "ownership & permissions" settings? I tried to burn a DVD from OSX by creating a burn folder and I didn't see any setting that allowed me to remove the "ownership & permissions" settings.
Thank you for any insite into this.

    Thanks Mulder,
Here is what I am trying to do:
I do not need to backup any system files - I already have OSX on my original DVD if I needed to re-install. I only need to backup the users' document files and maybe some email folders in the users' libraries.
    I set up three accounts:
    1. The first account is for admin purposes only.
    2. The second is for my own use - it is the account used most often on this computer.
    3. The third account is for my family.
Note: I will set up a fourth account for our student renter later.
I will have access to the user names and passwords of all these accounts in case I need to go into the accounts to back up their documents. But the user(s) of the family account will not have my password - so the kids don't accidently erase any of my files.
When working in the second account (which is used most often by myself), I sometimes need to place newly created files into the "document" folder on our family account (the third account). And so I purposely changed the "Ownership & Permissions" on the "document" folder on our family account (the third account) to Group: second account. This allows me (the second account) to place files into the "Document" folder of the third account (the family account). After doing this, I also need to change the "Ownership & Permissions" of any added files to Group: third account so the user(s) of the family account can edit (read and write) the files I add from the second account.
An alternative setup that I decided not to use: I could have made use of the "users/shared" folder for this, however, I do not want everyone to be able to access these files - especially when I set up a fourth account (or even more accounts) in the future. I only would like to share the contents of the third account's "Document" folder between two users (user of the second account and the user of the third account).
Now I will continue the explanation of my setup:
Over time the "Document" folder of the third account (the family account) will become filled with a mixture of files with different Ownerships - some created from the second account and some created from the third account - but all editable from either the second account or the third account by assigning each other access via the "Group" designation in "Ownership & Permission". Because of this mix of files with different ownerships, I could, if I wanted to keep the settings consistent, select the "Document" folder of the third account (the family account) and change the ownership of all enclosed items to the user of the third account by using the "Apply to enclosed items". I would probably also change the "Group" designation to the second account too.
I will be able to make all these changes because I have the user names and passwords for all the accounts.
Now here is my main question:
My concern is that when it comes time to backup the document folders onto DVD, what if in a couple years I forget these passwords? You see, I would rather not copy any "Ownership & Permissions" settings of the files onto the DVD. Lets say that in a couple of years I go back to my DVD backup and need to pull off some old jpeg files and put them onto my computer. When I insert the old backup DVD will it say: "Sorry, you do not have access priviledges to view these files" or something like that? That would be a real problem. These are my own files. Why would I want to risk making an important backup DVD un-useable in the future because of some long-and-forgotten permission settings?
What I would like to do is copy all my files onto DVD for backup in such a way that "Ownership & Permissions" are not copied. Why put the risk of a limitation on your important backups? Is there a better way to do this? What do other people do?
Am I making this more complicated than it has to be? As you can tell, I am a beginner with OSX (and permissions) and I am looking for some advice. Thanks
    Mulder, when you wrote:
"If you're trying to backup just selected files, such as your purchased music or applications, etc., then ownership and permissions shouldn't be a problem."
did you mean that ownership and permissions are not copied? That would be great. But I am not sure if that is what you meant to write. Thanks!

  • To all experiencing burn issues since updating to last version of iTunes

To all that have been experiencing difficulties burning music since updating to iTunes6:
After reviewing this discussion board it seems obvious to me -I am not a technician but nonetheless- that the problems that we are experiencing are due to some kind of incompatibility between our PCs and Apple.
While some here have been very helpful in trying to resolve these issues, I find it disgusting that Apple does nothing. Itunes customer support do nothing. We are left to fend for ourselves, frustrated by the amount of money we have invested in building up our music collections in order fot them to be held hostage because Apple and/or iTunes will not address the issue.
Did anybody bother reading the software license upon updateing to the earliest version? Is it too early to talk of "class action" suits?
It seems logical to me that we will be heard better by Apple if we speak as a collective and not individuals. Maybe that way we could put more pressure on them to either fix what needs to be fixed or refund the money we have invested in iTunes.
As for me, iTunes has already lost me as a client. I won't download any more music because there is nothing I can do with it. That doesn't seem to matter to them. I suppose this is what happens when you get too big for your own britches!
Any ideas on how we can take down the bully????

Lost data from iTunes on upgrade? See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.
Restored an older backup to the device? If you're lucky your most recent photos may be in your Photo Steam.
Otherwise you may need to paint a fuller picture of the problem...

  • For all those having issues with the 11.1.4.62 update

The issues encountered are vast... msvcr80.dll issues.. Apple Mobile Device failed to start... and on and on... Never understand how a simple update can completely screw up everything and make iTunes unusable.
Go into Programs and Features and ANYTHING that says "Apple" with something after it, uninstall it.
    Reboot
Download a fresh copy on iTunes
Right click on iTunes64Setup.exe left click on Run as Administrator. Even if you're only use on your computer and it's an Administrator account do it.
Cross your fingers, throw some salt over your shoulder, say a prayer. If the install completes with no error measages you're done.
If you still get the msvcr80.dll error
Google How to use scannow Windows 'Whatever Version you're running'
This will check the integrity of your system files.
If everything checks out you need to replace the missing dll file
Use Google again for Missing msvcr80.dll
I had to put the dll back in Windows/System32/ for iTunes to install properly.

I am running the 32-bit version of Windows 7.
I too, encountered these problems when attempting to update.
I began the update from within iTunes.  It got past the download phase, but during the installation phase, for the first time ever, I encoundeted an installation failure.  It told me to try again, but if it failed, to download the standalone file and install it manually.  Unfortunately, though, the (failed) installation still managed to have gotten far enough along so as to leave my machine in a state that I could no longer launch iTunes.
When I tried to launch, I received the missing MSVCR80.dll--just like others have reported.  I tried to install this "missing" file by downloading the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (I forget which one, as there are several flavors, but "SP1" and "MFC" were part of the descriptive name from the Microsoft Download Center).  DO NOT, under any circumstances, TRY TO OBTAIN THIS MISSING FILE FROM ONE OF THOSE WEB SITES OFFERING THIS (or other) FILE(s).  Most if not all of these sites, are likely malicious in nature.
At-any-rate, while I ran the installation of the vcredist_x86.exe  file, I briefly saw some form of positive progress, I never seemed to get a definitive completion (i.e., nothing told me the install completed successfully).  Nor did I see any error message.  I also tried a .NET Framework 4.0 repair as this suggestion was also offered elsewhere on the Apple iTunes Forum.  Unfortunately, neither of those suggestions solved my problems, as I still continued to receive the missing MSVCR80.dll message, and iTunes would not launch.
I then followed the directions found elsewhere in this thread by uninstalling the Apple applications (in the order listed), rebooted (and for good measure) I also ran ccleaner after the system came back up), and tried the install again using the iTunesSetup.exe file (RunAs Administrator option).
During this attempt, now I received a DIFFERENT error message:  Specifically, the Apple Mobile Device service could not be started.  Attempting to start it manually from the Services panel, wouldn't work, either.  I told the install to "Ignore" this error, and even the installation made it to the end and stated the installation was successful, it definitely was not.
The Apple Mobile Device error encountered during installation mentioned ensuring there were sufficient permissions.  As the installation was performed using the RunAs option, this should have used Administrator permissions.  Still no dice, however.  So I completely uninstalled everything again (in the order specified).  Rebooted.  This time, I also manually removed directories left behind in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple directory.
I kept any plugins that existed, but dumped all of the *.resources files I could find.  They all had today's date on the file directories, so I knew they'd been "touched" by the various installation efforts--and who knew whether something left behind might be causing issues.  I blew these away since it got left behind by the uninstall operation (a major annoyance these applications don't do a better job of cleaning up after themselves when "removed").
Did the same sort of thing in C:\Program Files\iTunes.  I also Re-ran ccleaner (again), and rebooted one more time, as there was still some reference in Registry to APSDAEMON.exe, which, now, no longer existed, but was still trying to be started via the entry in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.  Found the entry and simply deleted it, which kept me from getting that paticular error at restart.
Last, but not least, I downloaded the FORMER version of iTunes from Filehippo, since they keep all of the previous versions.  Apple might do that, too, but I didn't know for sure, nor did I know where to find it, whereas, I knew exactly where to get this from Filehippo....
Right, wrong or indifferent--that's what I did.  I know some might not recommend obtaining a file from a source other than the company creating the application--especially since this seems to fly in the face of my own recommendation about sites that offer missing files.  While similar, it's not quite the same, and I've had good success with Filehippo.  A risk I was willing to accept....
I ran the installation file for 11.1.3.8, and voila:  iTunes (the former version not the ill-fated new one) was reinstalled (no error messages during installation); best of all, no missing MSCVR80.dll file upon application launch.
While others seem to have gotten success by removing the apps and reinstalling, I, on the other hand, did not.
Therefore, I will now sit tight at my current version level until Apple better addresses this issue, which, is definitely tied to the new update, as the former version works just fine.
I share this, just in case others, like myself, followed the directions and still had the problem.  At least, by visiting Filehippo, one can garner the previous version, and in so doing, re-establish a working version of the application.  If Apple provides former versions for download, then, by all means, obtain the file from them.  My method was more expedient at the time.
Shared for whatever it is worth.
Good luck to folks who experience this issue....  Hope you either get the matter solved, or you, at least, get back to a version that worked before your parade got rained on....

  • Itunes 8.1 for Mac CD Burning Issues??

Is anyone getting CD issues with this new 8.1 iTunes for Mac OS??
I am currently unable to burn any CDs after downloading the new iTunes 8 for Windows on two PCs and the CD burner on my MacBook is the last one in the household I have that will function in iTunes. I can't take the chance that this new 8.1 for Mac will blow my CD out.
If anyone has issues .. if you want to list them here .. I would be most appreciative.
    Thanks
    Message was edited by: Daphne3620 .. cause she can't type! ; )

Yes .. that is why I am really not into the idea of downloading 8.1 into my Mac and have it bust out my CD/DVD driver in there. I am currently downloading 8.1 into my PC .. I figure the CD/DVD is already screwed beyond belief and I have nothing to lose.
It is just very apparent after heading to the GEAR site that we are only supposed to request help via Apple and so far - sorry support Mac users .. there seems no one who can figure this out .. nor - frankly - should they. I mean - HELLO!?!?! Apple has an actual paid tech department, right? And their software broke it .. or their vendors software broke it .. why should we have to figure it out ourselves or EVEN WORSE - PAY to have phone support fix it. Again .. I didn't break it .. they did. Why the &^#% should I have to fix it.
It is just very frustrating and this was what I was trying to avoid in transitioning myself and my company out off of a Windows atmosphere and into an Apple OS one. Well.. if this is the kind of thing I can look forward to when I am fully transitioned and have a huge issue .. no thanks.

  • So, Apple - how about a fix for all these upgrade issues?

Downloaded 7.0.2 and firstly it wouldn't open iTunes at all. Followed discussion advice, uninstalled then re-installed Quicktime. Can now open (labouriously) iTunes, but it has removed 215 songs from my iPod saying I don't have permission to play them - even though every single one is purchased from the iTunes store.
    Any advice gratefully accepted!
Very similar to bugs following download of iTunes 6.

What did it fix? Because as far as I can tell, everyone is scrambling to get rid of it off their computer because they can't even USE the update. It freezes and closes every time I try to even play a song. I'm afraid to even plug in my iPod. It won't add any new songs either, and I can't switch between playlists or anything. I'm so sick of this and the people at Apple need to get off their lazy butts and fix the giant problem they started! From what any of us can tell, they haven't done squat, they haven't even announced that 7.1 is crap that ruins half the iTunes it updates!
How long are we going to have to wait before we can use iTunes again? I'm too scared to move back to 7.0.2 or whatever it's called. From what I've heard now, half your songs are gone and I doubt that it keeps your playcount or your star selections. Which means that most of us will be going through 1000+ songs all over again.
Is there ANYTHING good that came of 7.1? because I would like some consolation that the people at Apple didn't just release it for kicks.

  • Serious UI issues in SQL Developer 4.0 for Mac

I've encountered some serious UI issues in SQL Developer 4.0 for Mac (4.0.0.13) that impact it up to the point where it becomes unusable.
If the database and tables are expanded in the "Connections" view, sometimes a node in the tree seems to become sticky. Whenever you scroll the up or down, it will immediately scroll back to make the old selection visible again. If you want to work with an item that's outside the current view (e.g. to collapse the "Tables" node), you can no longer use it. SQL Developer needs to be restarted.
If the context menu is opened (ctrl click), it appears in the wrong place. It's too far to the right and bottom. If you then move the mouse pointer towards the menu, a rectangle appears and follows the mouse pointer as if you had initiated a drag and drop operation.
If the "Data" tab of a table is selected and if a cell is clicked to edit the cell value, the text cursor is drawn in the wrong position. It can be off by more than one character and it is often drawn in the middle of a character instead of between two characters. It's hardly possible to edit the cell value as you cannot tell for sure where insertions and deletions will happen. You basically need to copy the value into a separate editor, edit it there and copy it back.
The scrolling in the "Data" tab of a table is a pain. For no obvious reason, it first scrolls downwards a few rows and then jumps to the top (at least using a Magic Mouse). If all rows have been loaded, this problem seems to disappear. But generally, the scrolling distance is far too short. With a long finger swipe, one would expect to scroll the contents by several pages. However, it only scrolls about half a page. For shorter swipes, it's similar. It sometimes only scrolls by a few pixels.
Am I the only one to experience these severe problems? Or is the Mac version not as mature as the Windows version yet?

In terms of diagnosis, perhaps not -- probably very time-consuming to debug.  I did find some unpublished bugs against dual monitor use ...
Bug 13727841 - FORUM: 64BIT WIN7 SOME DIALOGS SHOW ON DISPLAY 1 WHEN SQLDEV ON DISPLAY 2
Bug 18504928 - NEW CONSTRAINT UI MENU IN TABLE DIALOG AT WRONG LOCATION ON DUAL MONITOR
The first turned out to be an issue in the 64-bit Java AWT libraries, not the 32-bit libraries, and specifically for Windows 7 as opposed to, say XP, but this was all quite a bit in the past and was fixed for 4.0.   The second one (on 64-bit Linux), however, just came in yesterday, so you can wait to see if a fix for that also covers your situation or, if you are able, pursue it directly with Oracle Support.

  • Thanks for all you early adopters-seriously

Sincere thanks for all of you who jumped in and started using it. I am sure that it is a better computer because of all the feedback that the company has received. I have been reading the posts and am looking forward to getting the next edition/revision.
As one poster wrote, the advantage you have over me is that you have the computer to use now, and I am waiting. It will be a much used and appreciated tool when I get one. The funds are not available for me to get one yet but am looking at the beginning of the year.
The only ones I have seen are in stores. I wish I knew how loud the fans get when they come on as I have not heard them.
Some have described them as really loud. Any input here?
It looks like most of the main issues that I have read about have been resolved. The latest seems to be the dependability of the SuperDrive, but they may just be that percentage of products that are problematic out of the box.
I get the impression that these things are selling like hot cakes, so the numbers out there vs. the posts are probably staggering.
Thanks again, and I hope everyone gets their computer working the way they expect it to.

    Hey, you're welcome! Hahaha
Well I've had mine for over 3 months now and I've zero problems with it. To answer some of your questions:
    - the fans do not get horrendously loud as some people have stated. The only time I've heard them on is when I'm playing games (call of duty 2, halo, tiger woods), encoding a dvd, watching large videos on iTunes; so pretty much cpu intensive tasks. They don't come on with usual surfing, chatting, emailing, word processing.
    - yeah, i've read the posts about the superdrives too. But I haven't had any problems with mine. I've ripped about 10-15 music cd's from my collection and burned many dvd's with it without a problem.
Enjoy your macbook when you get it!

  • Let's all contact Apple about CD imports and burning issues

While reading through the posts here, it appears that there are alot of us with issues dealing with iTunes and CD imports and CD burning. Even using Quicktime 7.1.3, I still cannot even play a CD track. I can use other applications to import music, but the bottom line is that iTunes should let us import CD tracks. It doesn't. If you are having problems with these slow CD imports, or CD burning with iTunes 7, then we all need to contact Apple. I suggest that instead of trying to find a workaround, lets all get Apple to correct their iTunes application. When you open iTunes, click on iTunes in the toolbar across the top of your monitor and scroll down to the line "Provide iTunes feedback" Fill out the questions and describe exactly what CD import/burning issues that you are having. We will not hear back from Apple individualy, but if we all start letting them know directly that there is an issue, maybe they will get the message and fix these problems. We all appear to be passionate about Apple and iTunes. Lets get these problems resolved. Okay?

I am having no problems. I did with my Ti667 when the optical drive died.
I am onto the latest version of iTunes and can report no problems for me.
Oppp......... my iTS country changes and I changed back and my account is in good order.

  • Performance Issue in Select Statement (For All Entries)

    Hello,
I have a report where i have two select statement
    First Select Statement:
    Select A B C P Q R
         from T1 into Table it_t1
              where ....
Internal Table it_t1 is populated with 359801 entries through this select statement.
    Second Select Statement:
    Select A B C X Y Z
from T2 in it_t2 For All Entries in it_t1
              where A eq it_t1-A
                 and B eq it_t1-B
                 and C eq it_t1-C
Now Table T2 contains more than 10 lac records and at the end of select statement it_t2 is populated with 844003 but it takes a lot of time (15 -20 min) to execute second select statement.
    Can this code be optimized?
Also i have created respective indexes on table T1 and T2 for the fields in Where Condition.
    Regards,

If you have completed all the steps mentioned by others, in the above thread, and still you are facing issues then,.....
    Use a Select within Select.
    First Select Statement:
    Select A B C P Q R package size 5000
         from T1 into Table it_t1
              where ....
    Second Select Statement:
    Select A B C X Y Z
from T2 in it_t2 For All Entries in it_t1
              where A eq it_t1-A
                 and B eq it_t1-B
                 and C eq it_t1-C
    do processing........
    endselect
This way, while using for all entries on T2, your it_t1, will have limited number of entries and thus the 2nd select will be faster.
    Thanks,
    Juwin

They said I need to change my settings to NAT settings. I haven't been able to figure out or find anything. I have also spoken to Apple Support on the phone for hours without being able to figure out how to do this ( i don't think he knew much either lol.) Please help me because I've got about 15-20 devices in my house that require to be connected to the internet and this is just making things ridiculously slow and painful for me.
    Thanks!

It is on DHCP & NAT under router mode yet my isp is still the one issuing ip addresses to my devices instead of the router issuing them

  • My Ipad 2 external speakers does not work and headphones has popping sound. This all occured at the same time as my Iphone and Ipod headphones only played mono (no, the "mono" option is not on). How can there be audio issue for all these devices?

My IPad 2 external speaker does not work and the original headphones have popping sound when used. This all occurred at the same time as my IPhone and IPod headphones only plays mono (and no, the "mono" option is not on) with the original headphones, as well as, other headphones tested.  How can there be audio issue for all these devices at the same time?
As you may have noted from the list of Apple devices I own, I believed in the Apple and the products it was producing; but it is hard to believe from my experience and the other voices within the Apple Community that we are all experiencing the same hardware issues. Especially since I recently, I upgraded to an IPhone 4g (no, my faith in IPhone 5 series is very little) and is experiencing the same audio problem as described above. So now, I am off to the Apple store again to be told that it’s a hardware problem on new IPhone. Really? Apple, what happen to the pride in the product you were producing?

Everyone does things a little differently. I love to "jam " along with iTunes ( or old Lp's) . Always have. That's where/how I've learned to play .
I'm sure leonieDF is giving a proper way to jam along on a keyboard with an iTune. He blows my mind all the time with what he knows. Nuff respects to him !
What I do is make a GB project I call "Jam With". I'll make several new tracks that are blank. Just has a few instruments named in the blank tracks. You can change those per song ...
Because I'm not concerned about changing the pitch / key.... of the iTune or the tempo ... I can simply play along with it.
    Peace,

Unless you have the source files that were on the TC or Windows machine you will have to start over with a new library as follows:
Start over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
    1.  Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
    2. Open the library package like this.
    3. Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
    4. Drag the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.  Your original library will remain intact for further attempts at fixes is so desired.

  • HT203242 I use ipod classic 120G. When I launch itunes I first of all see a message "The registry settings used by itunes drivers for importing and burning cds & DVDs are missing." I cannot sync my ipod. Any ideas?

I use an ipod classic 120G. When I try to launch itunes I first of all see a box stating "The registry settings used by itunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall itunes"   This I have done. obviously I cannot burn CDs but worse still is my ipod is not being recognised by itunes and will not sync. I have not installed any new burning softeware. Any suggestions please?

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

  • For all those out there with Iphone5 WIFI issues,Please READ THIS

I pre-ordered my iphone 5 (Black) got that last week. Quickly backed up my Iphone 4 and Restored my iphone 5.The first thing i checked to see is connecting to my WIFI network at home. And i kept getting a message "UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THE NETWORK". I had the iphone 4 aside and i can see iphone 4 is connected just fine. So are my laptop, Ipad and other devices.
So what is different in Iphone5?
After couple of days of head banging, and phone calls with apple support. I finally gave up and went to a apple store , they said, They have not heard any WIFI issues and my case was the first , However to keep me happy they said they will replace my device, But if have the same issue ,they will NOT be able to replace it again. And they even showed me the new iphoen connects to their "Non-secured" apple WIFI network.
So i take the new phone home, and the first thing i try is connecting to WIFI.And i still get "Unable to connect to the wifi network ".And i still can see Iphone 4 working fine and connecting to the same network just fine. With the second iphone5 also not working, I realized it is not hardware, but something surely changed with WIFI in iphone 5. I have a NETGEAR router with its latest firmware installed(2.0.26). I then downgraded my firmware to 2.0.21, then gave a shot.
BINGO..Iphone 5 works fine connects to wifi.and so is my iphone4 too.
So for all those users out there, the fact is something changed in iphone 5 WIFI algorithm. And if anyone really disagrees with me on this, I am going to post a video to demonstrate on YOUTUBE. I believe it is completely UNFAIR for apple to now ask you Upgrade/change your router or its firmware. And it is not fair for router companies to Fix anything to make their firmware compatible with iphone5.
So iphone 5 Users, Please lets us all push for a fix on this issue. WE WANT FIX.

I can't tell you how frustrated/disappointed I was when this exact situation happened to me. I upgraded my wife's iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5 just to find out that it wouldn't connect to my home wifi but would connect everywhere else. Guess what...
    I found a fix!!
On you iPhone go to Settings, General, About, scroll to "WiFi Address". Now stay there.
Log-in to your modem thru your web browser via IP Address. (Keep in mind, I use a 2Wire modem, yours may be different) Clicked "Wireless" for wireless settings, scrolled down to "MAC Filtering" and clicked "Edit Allowed/Blocked Device List". At the bottom, there's a field to which you can manually enter a MAC address to you allow or block. If you're using a different modem with different menus/options, just browse around til you find a similar option of manually adding MAC addresses for access or blocking.
MAC Address = Wifi Address. See where i'm going with this?
Type the WiFi Address from you iPhone in the MAC address field, click "Add to List". If MAC filtering is enabled, it'll be added to the BLOCK list, simply click on the address, and click the double arrow pointing towards the ALLOW list so it'll transfer lists to where you want it, then click save.
Now go back to your iPhone and attempt to re-connect to your wifi network as you normally would & voila!
This worked for me, i hope it works for you as well.
