I was not able to understand the following things that were there in the course for the Certification Exam for Java 1.4
1. State the benefits of encapsulation in object oriented design and write code that implements tightly
encapsulated classes and the relationships "is a" and "has a".
2. Distinguish between correct and incorrect implementations of hashcode methods.
3.Write code that explicitly makes objects eligible for garbage collection.
Plz reply anyone with detailed explanation of all of these to help me out. Reply asap.

All-private attributes, no getters, no setters.
and the relationships "is a" andInheritance
"has a".Association (attribute)
2. Distinguish between correct and incorrect
implementations of hashcode methods.Read the API. Equal objects have to return equal hashcodes.
3.Write code that explicitly makes objects eligible
for garbage collection.

these to help me out. Reply asap.Help you out with what? I'd say you're lacking too much experience to even think about taking the SCJP and understanding the stuff that's asked (as opposed to "learn everything by heart and fail during your next job interview, SCJP or not).
