FOR EACH command in planning modeler

Hi all,
can anybody explain me the difference between foreach, foreach in selection,foreach in ref data.
i have a requirement where i needs to copy some temporary variable in to keyfigure.
my fox formula is :
foreach season,brand,du.
{zkf1,season,brand,du } = var1.
endfor.
my cube data is like.
season1 ad du1 100.
season1 ad du2 200.
season1 cd du3 300.
But while executing , this code it is generating new combinations like
season1 ad du3. which is not correct.
please provide any inputs for the same and also advice me which FOR command will be suitable for this scenario.

If your season is always the same you can leave out the formula. The peformance became higher.
Please try like this:
foreach season,brand,du.
if not {season,brand,du} is initial
{zkf1,season,brand,du } = var1.
endif.
endfor.

Invalid value for variable 0calyear in planning modeller

Hi Experts,
I have an urgent requirement. In my planning modeller I have a variable for 0calyear for accepting current year and target year. If I give target year(for example, 2015) which is not present in 0calyear it is showing error that 2015 is an invalid value for 0calyear. If I give 2012 it is working fine because it is already present in 0calyear.
I would like to know how we can solve this issue. To forecast data anyway we have to enter a future year. I would really appreciate if anyone could give some information to solve the issue.

Just a thought.
Can you load a flat file data with year values into a DSO with 0CALYEAR as key? ( SID generation as active ).
What I am expecting is this flat file load will generate SIDs for 0CALYEAR in future year as well.
Subsequently if you try to enter that in your planning variable it should work.
I understand this is not a perfect solution. But want you to try and adopt if this is a reasonable work around.

Jco connection creation for plan modeler on BI 7.0

If I open plan modeler RSPLAN on BI 7.0 I am getting u201CJco connection not availableu201D message so I tried to create the connection from webdynpro content administrator.from there I could see all the connections in red colour
BI_MODELDATA

WD_ALV_MODELDATA_DEST
WD_ALV_METADATA_DEST
So I have chosen u201Ccreate u201Coption of the above connections to establish Jc0 .please let me know what parameters to be given for each settings.
For example we take BI_METADATA ,
General data:
Name : BI_METADATA
Client u2013 xxx ( should we have to give BI client no here ,by default it shows 000)
J2ee cluster :
Default :hostname ( no doubt)
Connection type:
Dictionary melta data( chosen by default u2013 no doubt)
Application data:
Message server :SID hostname (no doubt)
System name
Logon group:
User authentication :\
Username : **** ( should I have to give the user name of BI client)
Password
Confirm password :
Please carify the above doubts and help me out to resolve the issue Plan modeler
Once I set the connection of each should I have to restart JAVA engine,

What?? You asked how to get all your music on your phone at once rather than downloading it to your phone from iCloud.
Go to your purchased list in iTunes and download all your music to your iTunes library, as explained in the linked article. Then sync it all to your phone using iTunes you're done. The music will be stored locally on your phone and you won't have to download it again in the future.

I think i got ripped off by this verizon store , I got the 4 line $140.00 edge plan, which I had to pay for the phone in monthly payment, i did the math it was 268.00 total.. At check out this guy charge me $50.00 care package for each phone and sim card

How do I set a unique texture for each cloned 3D model in Director?

Hi,
I am using a 3D world built from 3Ds Max, it contains 2 boxes, In Director I have set the boxes to move along a path and when out of camera shot the boxes are reset along the Z axis and a new texture if applied (generated via a text member), so far so good.
Now if the user clicks a button I would like to clone the boxes and have each box display its own texture from its own text member. At the moment the cloned boxed all use the texture from the last textured box, I assume this is an inheritance issue, but I do not know how to make each texture unique the its box.
Any ideas?

Im trying to make a number of boxes in a 3D world to move along the Z axis with a unique texture. The start just outside of the cameras field of view, move through the camera and when out of sight their position is moved back to the start with a new texture and the process repeats giving the illusion of endless boxes. The problem I am having is with the unique textures, I would like to reuse the shaders but without resetting the world. Remove access for each member of a particular dimension from Hyperion Planning Applciation

We are trying to remove access for groups for each member of a particular dimension( which has more than 1000 members) of a Hyperion Planning application. We are going through Administration->Manage DImensions -> member , Under security click view and select the group and then remove access But the problem is there are more than 1000 members under this dimension , so it will be time consuming to go to each member and then remove access for the group. Is there any other way we can do this?
Also is there a way to bulk delete native directory groups from Hyperion Shared services, instead of deleting each native group manually one by one?

The reaso we want to go for Relational tables is that when we did Exportsecurity utility for that planning application and imported back the SecFile.txt without doing any changes ,still it errored out giving errors like :
"The following access not imported:-"PLN-ORG-0278-999 Bureau Strtgc & Oprtnl ""PLNning",0278-999,READWRITE,MEMBER due toInvalid user name found in the file."
It is erroing out even if we did not do any modifications to the secfile.txt.
Moreover there are more than 1000 members for which we have to remove access permissions manually one by one. It is a tedious process.
So we are looking at other options like , which relational tables have got Native directory groups information, and the sql queires we can execute to remove the unwanted Native directory groups from Shared Services?

Using MVC - One model for each set of data, or one model for all?

What I know about MLR is that system uses below equation
Yi = bo + b1X1 + b2X2... + bn Xn
where Yi = Sales History
bo = Mean
b2 = co-efficients
x2 = causal factor etc.
Do you have document which details out how the figures are computed using these planning models?

Buttons is typical of a c/s application, or, in case of Web Forms, a Java applet. Instead of buttons, you have to use hyperlinks.

The hyperlink wil have to be to a URL that does the insert in the table. This can be a mod_plsql procedure, for instance.

Hi,
You can get the dep planned values for the each period by using SAP standard report S_ALR_87012936.
In the selection screen of that report, click on All selections button on application tool bar. Then you will be able to see the all the available fields for selection.
Choose evaluation period as Month.
Now execute it. After getting output, you need to go for change layout and adopt fileds like Dep 01-2010, Dep 02-2010, Dep 03-2010....Etc till Dep 12-2010.
This will fix your requirement.

The order planning indicator is used for selection and statistical analyses in the Plant Maintenance and Customer Service Information System.
Three order planning indicators are predefined by SAP:
Planned order. You should use this indicator for order types, for which tasks can be anticipated.
Unplanned order. You should use this indicator for order types, for which the task cannot be anticipated, but also need not be performed immediately.
Immediate order. You should use this indicator for order types, for which the necessity of the task cannot be anticipated, but where the task must be performed immediately.
so in this way..each data related to all orders aggregated in three heads in PMIS which is
1. Immidiate order
2. Plannned order
3. Unplanned order

There is a production order. it has two operations. i have made three confirmations of each operation for that order. now i want to see the planned and actual consumption for each confirmation. how is it possible.
However i know that on order we can see planned and actual consumption but it is for total order but i want to see planned and actual consumption for each confirmation. Actually client wants that on 2nd confirmation what is planned consumption and what they consumed on actual. thanks

In standard SAP this type of report not be there, but u can make it by using BOM,Confirmation table, & material document table.
Use AFRU to get posted document no for confirmation & detail by joining it with MSEG by mblnr & MAZHR.
now u get plan component qty by using mast & stpo if ur bom not changed in Production order , if in order component may be change then use afko & resb table & by comparing base qty or order qty & confirmation qty get plan component qty for confirmation.

Purging cache for each Business Model / Fact Table Source

Morning all,
I try to understand how can i schedule purging obiee cache.
. OBIEE is used with Essbase database
. one database for Australia, one for France and one for USA
I want to purge cache for each region after daily loading process (scheduled at different time) but Call SAPurgeAllCache() seems too radical
Can you explain me steps to use to purge Business Model cache ?
Currently I have to connect to Administration => Manage Cache => Clear Cache by Business Model and is not automatic !!

OBIEE documentation doesn't translate this information for Essbase database :
