For LUMF - BOM, Plant field in Sales Order should be editable for TAP

Dear Gurus,
I have the following requirement.
Requirement...
TheComponent level BOM (LUMF) should be exploded in sales order with one by default plant when iI enter the main component in Sales order but if I want to change the plant of main item manually system should allow me in order change mode. And this changed plant to be determined automatically for all the components of that BOM.
As we know if we maintain the BOM at component level we will use the Itm Catg Grp "LUMF" so the pricing will be determined on the component level.
In CS01 we maintain the BOM for a main item. I have followed the same process in CS01 by entering Main Item material, Plant and BOM usage (5). whenever i enter the main item in sales order it explodes correctly with components, quantity and Plant.
The Plant field for main item (TAP itm Catg) becomes gray. But now my query is that if I want to change the plant of main item system is not allowing me as I have  created BOM for a specific Plant. Same Bom I have maintained with other plants also
I know that We have one more option in CS01 like we can create a BOM without entering Plant also. But before I doing it for trial and error I want to know whether it will work for my latest requirement.
And what is the Group BOM ? how to use it? will it be helpful me in this requirement?
Please help me for the issue, I need to configure it as soon as possible.
regards,
Vojas

Dear Kapil,
Thanks for your suggestion i followed it also but yet I am facing the same problem.
I did as follows
I extended the Main item and components to the different plants.
And also created the same BOM for different plants in CS01.
After doing this if I create a Sales order and enter the Main Item with quantity system asks me for the Plant to explore the BOM, as i enter a plant BOM get explodes and the plant for main item becomes gray which i dont want. Any how I want the this plant field for main item in editable mode.
Let me explain my requirement in short
I maintain the LUMF BOM (Pricing at component level) .
once I enter the BOM material with quantity system should explode the bom with one plant by default. and in change mode of sales order the Plant for main item should be editable instead of gray mode. Becoz decision can be changed later on the delivering plant location.
Please suggest me. Its a high priority issue for me.
regards,
Vojas

  • Partner field in Sales Order should be greyed out

How can I do the configuration for making a particular partner in Partner Tab of a specific Sales order type greyed out so that it is not open for change

    Follow the following steps:
    1. Go to transaction <b>"VOPA",</b> next select the radio button for sales document header.
    2. Click on<b> Partner procedures [F6]</b>. Select the procedure which is assigned to the sales document.
    3. Click on <b>Procedure details [F2]</b>.
This would gives you all the partner assigned to this procedure in turn attached to the sales document. One can make configure the partner as "Changeable", Mandatory, etc.

  • Field on Sales order

    Hi
I want to make payment terms field on sales order as DISPLAY ONLY for VA01 and VA02 and VA03 transactions. I do not want user to override thpyament terms while crea

    Hi,
As i understand, do you want to make default payment term?
You can maintain Customer master data (XD02). Choose Sales area data --> Tab Billing documents and choose Terms of payment. By this way, you also choose Incoterm.

    Dear Expert,
    The requirement is like,
If user add payment term XYZ  manually in salse order then that sales order should get block for review purpose.
    Note:
if user add that payment term in sales order client want that order should block no matter what reason ,  here client not concern about credit limit and any outstanding from customer side ,
    Thanks in advance
    hanumant

    Hi,
You need to block orders with payment terms XYZ, or only when user changes from ABC to XYZ??
If first one is your requirment, you can do with userexit - USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT, and you need to create status profile for sales document type and assign to order type, in status profile put status AUTO - automatically approved, LOCK - when XYZ is payments terms it wil not and not create delivery & REJC- Rejected, when approver dont want to approve he can reject.
In sales order userexit you need write logic when paytemnt terms is XYZ then put status as LOCK.
New repor need to create to approve LOCKed orders so that user execute and approves or rejects.
If only user change to XYZ, then you need to write logic in prepare userexit, but it will be tricy, need to store values in tempapory memory, ceck with abaper,

  • How to make plant mandatory field in Sales order thru standard SAP process

    Hello,
There is requirement in business that User wants to make plant field Mandatory in Sales order line item once material number is entered. Can you please guide me how I can make Plant field mandatory thru Standard SAP process.
I had checked it thru Incompletion process & Order type incompletion messages but still Plant field is not becoming mandatory in Sales order. It only gives incompletion log while saving the SO. Please suggest how to do it thru Standard SAP process.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Saurabh

    HI
Plant will determine based on Customer-material Info Record, Customer Master data & material Master
If plant is not mandatory in customer Master and Customer material no problem
but at the time of creating the material master  Plant Mandatory as per my knowledge, so system will pick plant from Material master  that is the case why you required plant Mandatory in Sale order level
and you need to do Shipping Point Determination for that plant
Did you check by using User Exit ? if not try once what i have suggested
    Try with User Exit
    MV45AFZZ , FORM USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT
    VBAP - WERKS = " "
if VBAP - MATNR , POSNR = not initial
    Error Messgae "E"
    Check and Revert

  • Plant change in Sales Order not possible due to Sales Order BOM

    Hi all,
we are trying to change the Delivery Plant in a Sales Order after the creation of a Sales Order BOM, but it gives a V1773 message first, then a blocking error V1810. The same happens with a Production Order.
How can we change the Delivery Plant after the creation of one of these objects?
    Our scenario:
    - Make To Order
    - Sales Order BOM created with transaction CS61
    - Sales Order Routing created with transaction CA01
We need to create the Sales Order BOM on the Production Plant (which doesn't change), but we need to be able to change the Delivery Plant in any time.
Should you have further questions, feel free to ask.
    Thanks in advance,
    Giuseppe

    Hello Caselli,
For V1773, please check the solution provided by note 588884, which is a modification. With this note it turns possible to delete all multi-level sales order BOM using transaction CSKB, which may be useful.
The behavior mentioned by you is the standard behavior of the system. The scenario works as designed, a plant change is only possible as long as there is no other document assigned to the sales order.
    Longtext of V1 810 says:
The plant can no longer be changed in the following situations:
        2. There is a production order for the order item but it is not a static assembly order.
Your scenario seems to be point 2 as mentioned above. You can check the requirement type (VBAP-BEDAE) and requirement class in OVZH and assembly type (MNTGA) in OVZG.
If you change the plant for the items with existing production orders, it will cause the incorrect values in the COPA. An order item is assigned to plant A and the corresponding production order exits. This
means that the costs are assigned to plant A (this is the place where the costs accrue). Order and production order will be balanced at plant A.
If you now, after the process has already started, should allow to change the order to plant B the following examples of problems will come up:
    - The costs accrued in plant A (see production order)
    - The SD order is now assigned to plant B, this means billing will be with plant B
This leads to the fact the costs are on plant A, plant B has a benefit. Plant A cannot settle the costs and plant B has unexpected earnings. Inconsistencies in all involved process steps, SD, CO, COPA are the results.
If you want to change the plant in the sales order you'll have to perform these steps:
    = Delete the production order.
= Change the plant of the sales order item from A to C.
This should be possible unless there are other documents which are already assigned to this sales    order item. Save.
= Create a new production order and assign it to the sales order item again.
I hope I am able to help you with this information.
    Best Regards,
    Bhavin Joshi

  • Plant to plant subcontracting against sales order

    hi
         my scenario is like this
two plants A and B under one company code, its repair scenario in this sales order come in plant b ,in this repairing we have 5 process out of which one process has to be carried out in plant 1,so  for that  we will do subcontracting against that sales order with plant b. so how to handle subcontracting with plant a against sales order.
Edited by: AMIT RANE on Mar 4, 2009 7:55 AM

Purpose: - Subcontracting is also possible in conjunction with sales order  The subcontracting orders are account-assigned to a slaes order . Thus, the components are not transferred (using a transfer posting) to the "stock of material provided to vendor" but are directly withdrawn from the sales order stock the time of the goods receipt. The material manufactured is also posted to the SO
The cost of subcontracting is then debited to the SO.
Since the components are not transferred to the "stock of material provided to vendor", it is recommended that you use a transfer posting to transfer the provided components to a new storage location (for example, 9999). This enables you to obtain an overview of those stocks that are physically located at the subcontractor. This information is particularly important when you carry out a physical inventory of the Project stocks.
    Features: -
Withdrawal from Stock of Mat. Provided for Project: -
For components that are managed in Project stock, you can define whether the components are to be withdrawn directly from each Project or from the stock of material provided to vendor. You manage this via the dependent requirements indicator for individual customer requirements and collective requirements (MARC-SBDKZ).
You can maintain this indicator in the following places:
In the MRP view of the material master record (MRP 4)
In the explosion types for the BOM item (in Customizing for Production in the step Basic Data -> Bill of Material -> Item Data -> Define explosion types)
Configuring the explosion types has priority over the configuration in Inventory Management.
If the indicator is set at Collective requirements only (2), the materials are withdrawn from the stock of material provided to vendor. If this indicator is set any other way, the system withdraws materials from Project stock.
    Regarding Subcontracting Challan: -
Go to OMJJ, select the field "movement type" and press enter
Enter movement type "311" and double click on "Field selection (Enjoy)" under Dialog Structure on left side.
here "New Entries" and add field "LIFNR" (Vendor- plant as vendor )
Now in MIGO, at the time of transfer posting of components using movement type "311 E", specify the vendor code of the Subcontracting PO (i.e. Subcontractor)
Now create Subcontracting Challan in J1IF01 for material document of 311 E movement type.
Also check in SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Business Transactions > Subcontracting > Maintain Movement Type Groups > here for Movement Type Group "0001", Movement Type "311 E" should be maintained.
Then do GR against PO and refer the Subcontracting Challan here.
And then do reconciliation in J1IFQ for the GR Document against Subcontracting Challan.
Also check in SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Business Transactions > Subcontracting > Maintain Movement Type Groups > here for Movement Type Group "0002", Movement Type "543 E" should be maintained.
    Follow the below mentioned process;
    Process Steps: -
    1. OX09 - Create Storage Location as "9999" for Subcontractor Location
    2. MB1B - Do Transfer Posting of material from RM Warehouse to this Storage Location via movement type "311 E" (Instead of doing 541)
    3. Now go to J1IF01 - here use material document of movement type "311 E" and create Subcontracting challan. (If required)
Prerequisite: - In SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Business Transactions > Subcontracting > Maintain Movement Type Groups > Here for Movement Type Group "0001" (For issues), maintain movement type "311 E" also along with 541.
Rest all; refer subcontracting challan during GR and then reconciliation and completion, etc... Will be same as usual.
Note: - At the time of GR, consume components from storage location "9999" (for 543 movement type)
    regards
    KI

  • Sales order stock is considered for requirement

    Hi,
We are using STO scenarion and the material was subjected to MRP and we are creating STO with sales order as account assignment.
The Problem here is when the material master MRP 4 BOM explosion / dependent requirement is set to 2 while STO creation it is not considering Sales order stock.
So we normally change the material master to BOM explosion / dependent requiremt to 1 and Copy the old PO line and creating a new line then we delete old  PO lines. Now the sales order stock is considered for requirement.
I want to know how the changes in material master BOM explosion / dependent requiremt 1 or 2 should update the stock and requirement automatically to considered the sales order stock or not.
Kinldy provide me the tips if you have
    Regards
    palani

    HI,
If you change the individual / collective requirement field to 1, and if the settings for MRP type / lot size are PD /EX, system will always consider it as a special stock material.
Now it will be a business decision whether to consider this material as a special stock material or plant stock material. Based on this you can change the individual / collective field value.
Please write back in case you need any additional information.
    Thanks...

  • Stock transfer between stor loc. of same plant triggered by Sales Order

    Hello everyone
I need some input regarding triggerring Stock Transfer between 2 storage locations of the plant from a Sales Order.
    Sales Org: ABCD
    Plant: WXYZ
    Stor Location: 0001 & 0002
Now here 0001 is the Picking location for the Delivery Document.
However 0002 is where all the stock is stacked.
Physically they both are different buildings in the same vicinity.
The Business wants the Sales Order to trigger the stock movement from 0002 to 0001 on a daily basis.
So from a end user prospective, they will move the stock from 0002 to 0001 for all the items needed to fulfill the Orders due for Shipment for that day.
What options do I have for this ?
    Thanks
    Vin

Well actually the Selling Org ABCD is of a different Company code .. it is a typical case of Intercompany Sales .. where the Plant WXYZ is belonging to another company code.
I have setup the Intercompany Sales Process .. and want to trigger the Stock movement as mentioned above.
I have configured the STO for storage location - stor. location in a Plant. ...
However I am struggling to trigger a STO from a Sales Order.
I tried using the Schedule Lines to trigger a Pur. Req ... however the Supplying Plant field remains blank (which is the same in this case as it is a stock movement between 2 locations of the same plant).
The flow looks somewhat like this
    Sales Order -
    > Stock Transfer PR in Plant WXYZ -
    > Delivery Doc for the STO --- > MIGO to receipt the inventory in 0001 -
    > Delivery DOc for Sales Order -
    > Invoice for end customer --- > Intercompany Invoice
If anyone has automated creation of a STO from a Sales Order .. please advice
    Thanks
    Vin

  • Customer wants to see Discount Field and Quantity field in Sales order Form

    Hi Gurus,
Highly appreciate if you provide the solution for below issue:
My customer requirement is to see Discount field in sales order lines screen...They want to know how much percentage of discount they are giving to customer, if they want to modify for respective line they modify in that field.
Standard functionality discount field is NOT there in SO lines for because they manual enter discount in SO form, system should calculate Discounted price.
One more required if they enter Item code, able to see available quantity bottom of the form Sub inventory wise, Availability, resealable.
Current standard functionality supports - Click Availability button to check the availability..Its very difficult for them to check for each and every line item, is there any functionality to support this issue.
    Thanks
    Satti

    Hi,
Both of your requirements should be customised.
There is no standard functionality which attains your requirements.
For my present project, we have customised 2 seperate reports, one which shows the availability of the items in subinventory and locator.
Also a report which shows discount for all the lines and for the entire order.
    Thanks
    -Arif.

  • Create a new field in sales order

HI folks i want to create a new field in sales order item level how can i create

    Hi,
    Hope this will help you,
    User exits in the screens
Additional header data is on screen SAPMV45A 0309, additional item data on screen SAPMV45A 0459. These screens contain the Include screens SAPMV45A 8309 or SAPMV45A 8459 as user exits.
Fields which are also to be included in the sales document for a specific installation should be included on the Include screens for maintaining. If an application-specific check module is needed for the fields, this can be included in the Include MV45AIZZ. The module is called up in the processing logic of the Include screens.
For field transports, you do not have to make changes or adjustments.
    Example
A new field, VBAK-ZZKUN, should be included in table VBAK.
If the check is defined via the Dictionary (fixed values or check table) the field must be included with the fullscreen editor in the Include screen SAPMV45A 8309. In this case, no change has to be made to the processing logic.

  • BOM Re-Explosion at sales order created with referance to Contract

    Hi Experts,
Need your advise in mapping below requirement.
Our clinet is into service industry.
The sales process is  Contract --> Sales Order --> Invoice.Currently all the services will be charged using a BOM.
The BOM IS Created as below.
    BOM Header Material--- ABC
    BOM Components -
    ABC1
Now because of additional tax requirements for the services we need to differentiate the services charged to the customer, thus we are planning to change the BOM Masterdata as below.
    BOM Header Material--- ABC
    BOM Components---- ABC2 , ABC3, ABC4,ABC5,
Because of the change in BOM master data all the new contracts created will have the new BOM and its components.
Our concern is how to convert the existing contracts. Business is asking even for the existing contracts if a sales order is created it should contain the new materials and taxes should be calculated based on the new materials.
For the Legacy (Existing) contracts as few sales orders and invoices are created, we can not delete the old materials and add new materials.
Is there any way to make the BOM Re explosion at sales order level .
Ex: Conract created with old bom data and it has ABC and ABC1 materials in it, when a sales order is created system should read the new bom master data and explode it with the new materials.
If we do it either through SAP Standard feature or by a user exit will there be any negative impacts on the existing transactions or will there be any problems as the materials in the contracts and sales orders will be different.
Please share your thoughts and inputs on this.
    Thanks,
    Srini

    Hi All,
When we ran the test cases the BOM is not Re-exploded in the sales order when created with referance to a contract. One  option we thought about is cancelling all the open contracts and creating new contracts for those, thus the new bom will be added to the contract. It looks very hectic as we have aroung 5000+ open contracts.
Can any one suggest an alternative approach for this.
    Thanks,
    Srinivas
