Forcing an 'applicationWillTerminate' delegate call from xCode ?

I am developing in xCode 3.2.3 with an iOS4 target.
I can break on the 'applicationDidEnterBackground' delegate just fine when the home button is pressed (for example).
Does anyone know how to force a 'applicationWillTerminate' delegate call because the iPhone OS really wants to terminate the app?
It seems the big RED xCode 'Tasks' button just issues a 'sigKill' without making the delegate call.

I agree, it should be in the Hardware menu of the simulator, like the 'Simulate memory warning'. I thought hitting Home twice rapidly and X'ing out the app from the list should work, but that also just does a sigKill

UCCE: Forceful Release an Agent Call from ICM Script, Can I?

Hi, let me explain the requirement first. Customer wants to make their IVR free of cost but they want to start billing only when the call is landed to skill group/agent. So far I can think to make it possible by triggering their billing server by ODBC gateway through Application Gateway process. But also the customer wants to release that particular call when that pre-paid caller is out of charge. They might trigger one of my application or can modify any particular database field and put the calling# into there and my task would be release that call.
I have thought an idea to develop a TCL script run into the voice gateways and release the call from there by searching the particular call with calling#, but I do not know TCL scripting or any idea how to develope TCL , can't I release that call from ICM script? Do I have any control on calls from ICM when the call is landed and connected to agent?
Any help would be hightly appreciated.

That's a nasty piece of work. Just imagine how jacked off you would be if you are the customer, you have enough in your bank account to get to an agent who is then starting to help you, and in the middle of your conversation you are simply cut off!
I don't think it's possible - although CVP would be your best shot because of the switch leg.
But not only that, I don't think it is desirable. If you check the customer's balance before going to an agent, that should be sufficient. Anything else is just terrible customer service.

[iPhone] Call app delegate function from view controller

I'm using the app delegate to manage the high scores for my iPhone game. I have a function in the app delegate called something like "getAString" which I'd like to call from a view controller. I tried:
[[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate] getAString];
It works but gives me a warning "getAString not found in protocol(s)" and "no -getAString method found". I assume this is because the application object thinks the delegate only implements the delegate protocol methods and doesn't know about any custom methods. Is there a different/better way to do this or a way to get rid of the warning?

I have a similar problem, with this twist: the selector call is in shared-code and, hence, the [UIApplication sharedApplication] isn't of a known type. It is only known that it implements the shared callback and/or the myProtocol.
Coming from a Java background, I'd do something like this:
[((YourProtocol *)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]) getAString];
But, of course, in Obj-C, protocols aren't object-types, and objects don't "inherit" from protocols. So, what's the similar thing that I want to do, here?

How to call force render on custom effect from AEGP?

Hi All,
I want to call a force render on my custom effect from AEGP. I tried setting PF_OutFlag_Force_Rerender flag in PF_CMD_COMPLETELY_GENERAL (Called from AEGP via AEGP_EffectGeneric()). But it did not work. Is there any other way to force a rerender on the custom effect?

Calls from cucm to CME not working-unknown number

hi all
we have cucm 9.1 and gateway 2911 on the side A and on the side B we have uc540 , we have configured tunnels between 2911 and uc540, calls from cucm SideA to uc540 Side B is ok and working fine. now we have one 9951 phone which gets ip from uc540 (side B) and tftp is our cucm IP.9951 phone is registered in cucm and calls from cucm to that 9951 phones are working fine. now problem is call is one sided between uc 540 local extension and ip phone 9951.
9951 which is registered on cucm can call uc 540 user but spa 504 phone which is registered on uc540 cant call to cisco 9951 phone gets error "unknown number"

Code doesn't behave the way it should when i create an ipa . However , if i flash the build directly from xcode it works fine ?

I am creating an ipad application . When the app launches i am trying to get some data from server , and show it at the beggining .
It works perfectly fine when i run the app in simulator , and flash the build in ipad from Xcode .
However ,as soon i create an ipa file , install in ipad it doesnt works . Sometimes , it shows network issue , other times its able to give me the data but as soon i convert the data to JSON objet with NSJSONSerialization class , it returns nill .
Any clue on this abrupt issue ??

Are you loading the data in didFinishLaunching ??
If yes then that is the problem.
ios defines a specific time for app launch, if your app takes more than the allowed time, ios will crash the app.
Possible solution might be move the webservice call from there to some other suitable place, this will ensure that you app will launch regardless of any network issue, which can be handled later.

Report call from forms and 1017

Hi,
we have a web application and and it's first screen is the login screen where user can change their password or when grace time comes we force the user to change their password etc. Password changes successfully, no issue and user goes inside the application. But here is the problem. When user clicks the report after chagning the password then report doesn't work, can't connect to database and audit trail shows 1017 so obviously when they click 3 times their account gets locked because in profile it's set to 3 failed attempts. When user close the application and re login again and then click the report, it works fine. I'm suspecting the new changed password doesn't pass to the report? i would really appreciate for your help, suggestions, advise. how do i make sure that the new changed password should be passed to the report?. We're running against 11g database and sec_case_sensitive_logon is set to false.

TS3406 Twice call from same number if not done anything, the screen is locked

Iso 7.0.4 - Twice call from same number (within 3 minutes) if not done anything immediately after the first call, the screen is locked (the added photo of screen). Now no way to access the phone of home screen or something else.

Ok, well I had the network support guy down, when I mentioned an "OD Server" he went into Directory Access and put some details in that seem to have fixed the problem! So thanks for that...
Unfortunately, it looks like some of the other machines in the room might need binding, but at least the network team is aware of it.
Whereabouts would I look for ARD crash logs on the affected iMac? I tried locking/unlocking the screen again after the other issue was fixed and had the same problem. Its almost instant - as soon as you hit "lock" the status immediately switches to "ARD Not Active".

Cell call from one person causes FaceTime to show 2 missed calls at the exact same time from someone else.

Every time I receive a call from one person, my phone shows in the recent calls list 2 missed FaceTime calls from a totally different person at the same exact time. I've called the second person and asked if they tried to call via FaceTime and the answer is always no. What the heck is going on?

If you are having issues with your iPhone apparently adding FaceTime calls to your Recent Calls list when it should not, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -

Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -

Fields appear as "Read Only" in an Int.Form called from a WD

Hi Experts!
I am having a doubt in an Adobe Int.Form, that is called from a WD application.
The fields that are in my Form, always appear as a "read only". It is not possible to modify anything there.
Here, I describe the steps that I follow.
I create a very simple WD application. In its WD View, exist an unique Object (Adobe Interactive Form).
In that object, I set the properties:
"Data source": a context variable type "my structure". "My structure", is a simple structure with a couple or three fields, let´s say PERNR, BUKRS, WERKS... It is linked to the Form Interface (ABAP DICTIONARY-BASED INTERFACE). So in this way, the link between my WD and the AdobeInt.Form is working.
"PDF Source": a context variable type XSTRING.
"Template Source": here I have set my Int.Form. Currently, it only contains a couple of fields
"Enabled": True.
"Read Only": False.
In the AdobeForm, I have drag & droped those 2 or 3 fields, save it, and activate it. I guess nothing more is needed, for my test.
And at last, in the View´s method WDDOINIT, I am reading one of those fields, let´s say the employee number (PERNR), and I set by hardcoding its number (let´s say -> 00000001).
Until here, everything seems to work fine. When I launch the WD test, the Adobeform appears, at the moment, with only one of my fields (Employee - PERNR), and its value is filled in with '00000001'.
But now, I would like to write something by myself. And when I try to do it, it is not possible! Field PERNR, is displayed as a "READ ONLY".
Someone knows what is happening here? I guess it should be possible, to activate as a "EDITABLE" that field in my Form.
So here is my doubt.
Am I doing anything wrong? Or am I doing any mistake?

How displaying an alert message called from a database procedure

Hi,
How can I display an alert message that is called from a database procedure.
I've tried the following code:
l_al_button NUMBER;
l_al_message VARCHAR2(80);
l_al_id ALERT;
Set_Alert_Property(l_al_id, alert_message_text,l_al_message);
l_al_Button := show_alert(l_al_id);
When trying I receive an error that says that the word ALERT need to be declared.
Any suggestions?

ON-LOGON does not fire in Form B, called from Form A

We have a situation like this. We are using Forms (Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production)).
We migrated this application to Forms 11.2.0.1.0. Problem is that the ON-LOGON trigger does not fire in the 2nd level forms. Our application work like this.
(a.) User double-clicks URL icon.
(b.) Form A is opened without asking for un/pwd. We put a NULL; in the ON-LOGON of A.fmb.
(c.) This is the main form of the application. This has a canvas with 6 buttons. Each button will launch it's own separate application with it's own menu.
(d.) Now user presses button in A. This launches Form B. We use
Run_Product(FORMS, 'B', SYNCHRONOUS, RUNTIME,FILESYSTEM, pl_id, NULL); (e.) Now, in Form B, in the ON-LOGON trigger we have put code to show the logon screen and login to the DB.
Problem is, this works in 10g Forms. But we had to replace the RUN_PRODUCT with a CALL_FORM after migrating to 11g since RUN_PRODUCT is not supported in 11g.
Problem is that when you use CALL_FORM to call Form B, the ON-LOGON of the Form B does not fire. We tried OPEN_FORM and NEW_FORM with different parameters, but the behavior is the same. i.e. ON-LOGON does not fire.
What is the solution or workaround for this please.

We tried firing the LOGON_SCREEN and LOGON in the WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE. But, for some reason, the we don't get the menu (we get a menu not found error). We tried correcting the paths and other things but still no solution.
