Forgot password functionality not working - OAM

Hi,
I have issues with the forgot password functionality with OAM
The password policy is configured and its enabled for the users. The password redirect URLs are also available as part of the password policy configuration.
When i click on the forgot password link getting the following message
"This feature is not configured. Please contact the master administrator"
Please help me to resolve this issues.

If I remembered correctly, you need to setup the challenge questions and answers to enable forget password feature. This require updating the LDAP schema etc. The steps are described in OAM documentation.

    I am trying to reset the password using the Forgot password link on the External site page, after I click on the forgot password link and enter the username in the textbox and click on the submit button, it displays the error below.
    Error:cannot display page.

    A system failure has occurred.

  • Forgot Password link not working

    I was trying to add the sync to the new installation of windows 7. But i have forgot the password for the user account. I have tried so many times to reset the password but never received any emails from you guys.

    You are right. Sync's reset password feature is broken at the moment.
    I found a bug where the issue is being tracked and as soon as a fix is posted there I'll update this post. It looks like the server that sends the emails is offline or having some other sort of technical issue. I can't say for sure b/c I don't work for Mozilla.
    Anyway, even the Mozilla employees themselves are unable to get their password reset emails. So take comfort in knowing that you aren't the only one with this problem. :) As far as how soon you can expect a fix? I didn't see any timetable for that. I'll let you know if that changes.

  • Forgot password mailer not working

    Can any one see wha't worng here.
    This piece of code should return the users password by email but the email arrives successfully without any password.
    The email is sucessfully passed as $_POST['email'] as it is used as the email address for the email sent so something else msut be wrong>
    Any ideas?

    Are you seeing "Your password has been sent to your e mail address" message?
    It can be a lot of things.
    Some servers (recipient side) will accept emails with proper headers only.
    You are sending the email as user "nobody". Your server might be set to prevent to send emails as nobody which requires you to send it via SMTP connection.(you can ask your host about this)

    Hi Guru's,
    I've gone through some of the metalink notes to understand how the oracle provided forgot password link works in applications.
    My findings were:
    1) Have to set value to 8 for "Local Login Mask".
    2) WF Notification Mailer needs to be set, with IMAP Server configuration to get incoming mail.
    Hope, these two configurations is enough to enable the oracle provided forgot functionality. Please let me confirm this. - If it is not, please let me know what are the other configurations are required.
    Also read, User Management need to be configured - Is this true ? If it is please suggest some document.
    Also found one another metalink note as we dont have IMAP server set- regarding implementing forgot password functionality without inbound server. I've followed the note, still i am not getting mail to my outlook.

    You can use the wwv_flow_fnd_user API. This API has a reset_pw procedure with these arguments:
    P_USER VARCHAR2 IN
    P_SECURITY_GROUP_ID VARCHAR2 IN
    P_MSG VARCHAR2 IN

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

    Which password? Lock screen, network, backup?
    If you forgot the lock screen password:
    Connect in recovery mode and restore, you'll get the option to reset the passcode during this process:
    iOS: Unable to update or restore and iPhone and iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
    Go to Setting/General/Reset and reset your network connections, to be able to put in your password again.
    If you can't, set it up as new device, without using the latest backup:

    If your backup is encrypted, you'll have to set it up as new device without using the backup as well.

    You can send over WiFi, but it sounds as if you need to setup your Gmail account, or did you do this already?

    Not able to sign into Blackberry Protect.  Backup and Restore function not working. Message is: "Your device isn't associated with a Blackberry ID."  My Blackberry Messenger and Blackberry World is working fine so I am sure its not an ID issue on the phone.  I can sign into Link, Blackberry.com and Protect.  I see my device in Protect but cannot send messages or view it on a map.  Times out with cannot reach device message.  BB Protect on Device has a swirling circle beside the on/of switch.  Cannot turn off.  
    I have deleted Link and re-installed.
    I have reset phone to default(factory) and signed in. 
    OS level is 10.2.1.3062
    BB Link is 1.2.3.56

    I managed to figure this out myself. I had to delete the device from the Blackberry Protect website.  protect.blackberry.com.  I wiped my device again and signed in with my Blackberry ID.  I dont know if the step of wiping was necessary as I did not try my backup with the current configuration on the device following the delete.  Restore is in progress for me!

  • SAP* and DDIC password is not working in Cleint 000

        I have Installed ECC 6.0 IDES Server on Windows 2k3 with Oracle database. First time i was able to login to 000 client with SAP* (default pwd) and did some post installation steps. Now the password is not working.
    I tried the following:
    Go to cmd prompt.
    Sqlplus /nolog
    conn /as sysdba
    sqlplus>UPDATE SAPSR3.usr02 set uflag=0 where mandt='000' and uflag=128;
    All the SAP users were Unlocked.
    Then i tried delete command.
    sqlplus>DELETE SAPSR3.usr02 where mandt='000' and bname='SAP*';
    it says " 0 rows deleted "
    Parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar= 0 is set.
    Then Restarted the SAP server and tried logging with password pass it says user and password incorrect.

    As I have given in the earlier pls go through that link.
    And also ...It is good practice to put back the automatic sapstar to 1 as this will not allow other to use same way as sap* /pass and log into the client.
    The first thing is like create one more user in the 000 ,and also other super user incase if you have to use 000 with super user and have your own mechanism like have cutomised program and tcode with which you can activate 000 super user and use some thing like this...or it is only known to SAP BAsis Administrator.etc..
    And also do not work on 000 for regular development or prd work make a copy of this client and start using them .
    This has to be used only for Support pack other SAp related activities.
    The first step after installation is to make a copy of these refrence clients.And start using them.
    Secondly create the sap* usermaster in 000 and remove profiles .
    And enable parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar to 1.
    with this we are securing the super user from misuse.
    Incase of emergency you need to delete the sap* user master from Oracle level then activate the prifile parameter and the loginto the 000 client using sap*/Pass.

    Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.

    Firefox also makes regular backups of your bookmarks in a folder named bookmarkbackups in your personal settings folder. You can restore the backup to your new Firefox, but unlike importing the HTML-format file, it is a complete drop-in replacement, so if you have saved new bookmarks you do not want to lose, the export/import method may work better for you.
    By default, Windows hides your personal settings folder so the easiest way to access it is from inside Firefox. You can use either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
    * (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
    * type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
    In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This will launch a window showing your Firefox settings files.
    You might want to back up this whole folder if you have other data you want to preserve from your XP computer.
    Either way, you should find the bookmarkbackups folder here and when you click into it, find maybe 10 files with dates in their names.

  • TACACS enable password is not working after completing ACS & MS AD integration

    Enable password for (Router, Switches) is working fine if identify source is "Internal Users", unfortunately after completed the integration between ACS to MS AD, and change the Identity source to "AD1" I got the following result
    1. able to access network device (cisco switch) using MS AD username and password via SSH/Telnet.
    2. Enable password is not working (using the same user password configured in MS AD.
    3. When I revert back and change the ACS identity source from "AD1" to "Internal Users" enable password is working fine.

    I created a new shell profiles named "root" as the default one "Permit Access" can't be access or modified, underneath the steps I've made.
    1. Create a new shell profile name "root" with max privilege of 15. And then used it in "Default Device Admin/Authorization/Rule-1" shell profile - see attached file for more details.
    2. Telnet the Switch and then Issue "debug aaa authentication" using both "Root Shell" and "Permit Access" applied in Rule-1 profile.

  • My appleID password is not working on my iPhone.

    I have reset, resynched, reassociated my ID  nothing is working. I only noticed it yesterday and I think it's only been a week or so.  I noticed my phone  and none of my ipods are associated with my itunes even though they have been for at least two years.  I added an ipad last month.  The password is not working on the ipad either.  Please help!  It works in my actual itunes and apple account when I log in on my laptop.
