  • Not able to open infopath form connected with database in sharepoint 2010

    Hi,
     I have created one infopath form which is connected with sql server database.
    Now when i am trying to open this form from sharepoint,its giving me following error:
    Please help to solve this issue.
    Thanks & Regards
    rajni

    Hello,
    If i understood you correctly, you have SP list and there are some records. Now you want to open your infopath form when clicks on add new item in the same list. I am still confuse about "from table 'Account'" this line. Are you saying that you are fetching
    records from SQL table to PS list?
    Anyway, you can modify the existing list form infopath so you could be able to open the infopath form instead of default newform.aspx page. Later you can create a new data connection in that customize form to display data in table format from same list.
    You can follow this video for connection:

    Hi
    For this you must be able to reach your database through sqlnet
    can you ping the db with tnsping? can you login with sqlplus from the AS host?
    if not, you should add the db connectstring in the tnsnames.ora on the AS host.
    regards
    Michel

  • Published pdf form is unable to connect with database

    Hi Guys!
    I have created a PDF form using Adobe Live Cycle Designer which have some text fields namely RECORD and NAME. I have connected this form with a Database. When I enter a record in the RECORD number field the NAME field of this form has been populated with the help of XFA Script which is written on the exit event of the RECORD text field. When we publish this form, a new interactive PDF is created which works fine and populates the NAME field from the an SQL database but when I access this PDF form (which is located on a shared location) from some another location (not on the same machine where i designed this form) it is unable to connect to the database and does not work as expected.
    I think there is some thing i am missing for the database connectivity.
    If any body on this forum can help me out.
    thanks
    Here is the Script for the above form which i used to populate the NAME FIELD on the basis of enetered RECORD number.
    ----- Document.Page1.txt_MRN::exit: - (JavaScript, client) -----------------------------------------
    /* This dropdown list object will populate two columns with data from a data connection.
    sDataConnectionName - name of the data connection to get the data from.  Note the data connection will appear in the Data View.
    sColHiddenValue  - this is the hidden value column of the dropdown.  Specify the table column name used for populating.
    sColDisplayText  - this is the display text column of the dropdown.  Specify the table column name used for populating.
    These variables must be assigned for this script to run correctly.  Replace <value> with the correct value.
    var sDataConnectionName = "DataSource";  // example - var sDataConnectionName = "MyDataConnection";
    var sColHiddenValue  = "RecordNum";   // example - var sColHiddenValue = "MyIndexValue";
    var sColDisplayText  = "Name";   // example - var sColDisplayText = "MyDescription"
    // Search for sourceSet node which matchs the DataConnection name
    var nIndex = 0;
    while(xfa.sourceSet.nodes.item(nIndex).name != sDataConnectionName)
    nIndex++;
    //var oDB = xfa.sourceSet.nodes.item(nIndex);
    var oDB = xfa.sourceSet.nodes.item(nIndex).clone(1);
    oDB.open();
    oDB.first();
    // Search node with the class name "command"
    var nDBIndex = 0;
    while(oDB.nodes.item(nDBIndex).className != "command")
    nDBIndex++;
    // Backup the original settings before assigning BOF and EOF to stay
    var sBOFBackup = oDB.nodes.item(nDBIndex).query.recordSet.getAttribute("bofAction");
    var sEOFBackup = oDB.nodes.item(nDBIndex).query.recordSet.getAttribute("eofAction");
    oDB.nodes.item(nDBIndex).query.recordSet.setAttribute("stayBOF", "bofAction");
    oDB.nodes.item(nDBIndex).query.recordSet.setAttribute("stayEOF", "eofAction");
    // Clear the list
    this.clearItems();
    // Search for the record node with the matching Data Connection name
    nIndex = 0;
    while(xfa.record.nodes.item(nIndex).name != sDataConnectionName)
    nIndex++;
    var oRecord = xfa.record.nodes.item(nIndex);
    // Find the value node
    var oValueNode   = null;
    var oTextNode   =  null;
    var sRecordNum  =  $.rawValue;
    for(var nColIndex = 0; nColIndex < oRecord.nodes.length; nColIndex++)
    if(oRecord.nodes.item(nColIndex).name == sColHiddenValue)
      oValueNode = oRecord.nodes.item(nColIndex);
    else if(oRecord.nodes.item(nColIndex).name == sColDisplayText)
      oTextNode = oRecord.nodes.item(nColIndex);
    var found= 0;
    while(!oDB.isEOF())
    if (oValueNode.value== sRecordNum)
      txt_FirstName.rawValue = oTextNode.value;
      txt_LastName.rawValue = oTextNode.value;
      found = 1;
      break;
      //this.addItem(oTextNode.value, oValueNode.value);
       oDB.next();
       if (found == 0)
        txt_FirstName.rawValue = "";
        txt_LastName.rawValue = "";
    // Restore the original settings
    oDB.nodes.item(nDBIndex).query.recordSet.setAttribute(sBOFBackup, "bofAction");
    oDB.nodes.item(nDBIndex).query.recordSet.setAttribute(sEOFBackup, "eofAction");
    // Close connection
    oDB.close();

    Finally achived the database connectivity for the published pdf form developed in the Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0.
    There must be the same driver version of the DSN on both machines. The machine which published the form and the one accessing it.
    Use the Admin account to add the DSN on both machines.
    Get rid of the error: Connection for Source "DataConnectionName" failed because the environment is not trusted.
    Thanks

  • Can I connect my form to a database to populate data?

    Can I connect my form to a database to populate data?

    Hi;
    You want to poplulate your form with data from a database, or to populate the database from the form?
    There isn't any way to import the data into the form in FormsCentral from a database.  To populate and external database from the table on the View Responses tab there are no APIs to do it automatically but you can export to Excel or CSV and then import the Excel or CSV into your database:  http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1383

  • Problem about using Oracle Form 6i to connect Oracle Database 10g express.

    Sorry to interrupt all of you.
    I have encountered a problem about using Oracle Form 6i to connect Oracle Database 10g express.
    As I would like to
    I use Oracle Net8 Easy Config to create a connection.
    According to "tnsnames.ora", the paramater of connection is as follows;
    XE =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 127.0.0.1)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA = (SID = XE))
    Unfortunately, when I use Oracle Net8 Easy Config to test the connection, an error message is prompted as follows:
    Connecting....
    The test did not succeed.
    ORA-03106: fatal two-task communication protocol error
    There may be an error in the fields entered
    or the server may not be ready for a connection.
    You can check the server and retry, or continue.
    After I google it, I still have no idea how to solve the problem. I would like to ask, could anyone mind providing some hints or solution to address the issues.
    Thanks for your assistance in advance.

    I don't believe the Net8 Easy Config (NEC) will create a compatible entry in the tnsnames.ora. I have Forms 6i running successfully against a 10g Express database, but I did not use the NEC - I created the entry myself. Here is the entry I use:
    XE=
      (DESCRIPTION=
        (ADDRESS=
          (PROTOCOL=TCP)
          (HOST=<<servername or IP address>>)
          (PORT=1521)
        (CONNECT_DATA=
          (SERVER=dedicated)
          (SERVICE_NAME=XE)
      )Hope this helps,
    Craig B-)

  • Help: FORMS SERVER cannot connect to database (forms patch9)

    Hi:
    I've installed oracle 9i database and oracle 9ias 1.0.2.2.2a.
    I configured FormsServlet and it's working very well as i suceed my test in http://machina.domain/servlet/oracle.forms.servlet.ListenerServlet!
    The problem is that i cannot connect to the database and i got the error ORA-12203 TNS: Unable to connect to destination!
    I've changed jserv.properties as recommended in 9ias 10222 release notes by commenting the wrapper.env=ORACLE_HOME in OJSP because it conflicts with forms server home.
    I've read all about this, and i still cannot connect to the database.
    I'm using a forms servlet configuration with IE JVM.
    If anyone can help me... i apreciate it!
    By the way in my jserv.properties forms server config i have:
    # Oracle Forms and Reports Servers
    wrapper.classpath=C:\ORACLE\806\forms60\java\f60srv.jar
    wrapper.classpath=C:\ORACLE\806\forms60\java
    If i have this the Test native method call (JNI) fails, but forms server keeps running. The error is:
    Calling RunformProcess.nInitLib()...
    RunformProcess.nInitLib() failed:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/forms/servlet/RunformProcess
    Your server configuration needs correcting. Please refer to the Forms documentation for details
    If i comment the f60srv.jar as showed here i suceed the test
    # Oracle Forms and Reports Servers
    # wrapper.classpath=C:\ORACLE\806\forms60\java\f60srv.jar
    wrapper.classpath=C:\ORACLE\806\forms60\java
    So... anyone help ?
    Ricardo
    PS: I can't understand why oracle keep sending huge amounts of releases of products and everytime they send a new release, that new release keeps coming with new bugs.

    Hi:
    This just connection problem just happen if i use formsservlet http connect mode. if i use normal HTTP (without servlet)connect mode with Jinitiator (1.1.8.16) i successfully connect to database (oracle 9i).
    Anyone there using 9ias 1.0.2.2.2a with forms server servlet and oracle database 9i ?
    thankx

  • An unidentified error has occured? trying to connect with database for forms

    I am new to website development and have been using dreamweaver for my website.
    I am using WAMP server and have all my files on the host.
    In dreamweaver when i add the database details:
    connection name : connlogin
    mySQLserver: localhost
    username: root
    password:
    select database:
    when i go to choose a database i get the error "an unidentified error has occurred"???
    i try typing the database name and click test and still get the same error messages. all the tutorials i have been following say it should show the databases...
    Just for clarity i have created my database and tables. I need to link my forms to the database.
    I have searched online on various forums and cant seem to find a solution that works.
    if anyone can help it will be much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Log into phpMyAdmin.  Right hand frame, look for Privileges at the top.  Can you verify that either % (wildcard) or "localhost" is listed for the user under the "host" field? And that the user has either all privileges or the necessary privileges on the database.

  • How can you execute a form without connecting to database?

    Hello,
    Is it possible to run a form without connecting to database? If Yes, how?
    Thanking you very much
    Thobula Rakesh

    Hello Form Friends,
    After R&D I found that, it is very much possible to execute a form without connecting to Database.
    Example:
    Step 1: Create a new form 'Form1'
    Step 2: Create a block 'Block1' and add button'But1'. Write a exit_form built-in on when-button-pressed trigger on 'But1' and compile it.
    Step 3: Create a on-logon trigger at form level and just give a message('on-logon');
    Step 4: Execute the form.
    The form executes perfectly without asking any connection to the database. On-Logon trigger initiates a logon process to non-oracle data source.

  • Forms not connecting to database in browser

    Hi All
    I have got Oracle9i Personal Database and Oracle Developer installed on my Windows XP professional machine.
    I can connect to the database in SQL*Plus and I can connect to the databse to compile the form, but when the browser opens all I get is a big blank green square. The applet has initialised and the java icon has loaded into the task bar, but no information. I also noticed in the address bar that the name of my database is not there. i.e username/password@<database name>&buffer_record etc. If I add the name of the database in the address I then get login dialog box the TNS protocol adapter error message pops up.
    I have OC4J running and I can get to the main page if I don't add the form name which tells me the server is running, but nothing in the browser.
    Any help or hints would be appreciated

    Here is the output
    Driver loaded

On connection the server spawns a "work" thread to deal with authorising the user and creating a database connection. I can make a connection in the main server class (i.e. the main thread) but as soon as I move this to the "work" class it seems to lose the driver.
    I've just done some more tests and I can't even grab the driver as a driver object on the work thread so it's not just the getConnection method.
    I'm initialising the driver in a static block in the main server program. I've moved it around to various constructors on both the main class and the work class to no avail.
    It has me stumped so far :p
    Thanks for the input though :)

  • Database & Forms Connectivity

    Dear All
    I have installed Oracle Database 9i R2 (9.2.0.1.0) on my Office computer which is on NSN (company) Domain.
    Also installed Forms, Report 6i R2 on the same computer.
    All (Database, Forms and Reports) are workiong FINE.
    Last week, my computer was somehow disconnected from Domain.
    My Database, Forms and Reports also did not connected in this whole duration and keep on displaying the following errors.
    Errors which DB displayed were*
    * ORA-12571: TNS:packet writer failure,*
    * ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel.*
    Errors which Forms/Reports displayed were*
    * ORA-01034: Oracle not available (Although Oracle was Running),*
    * ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist.*
    But now when my system is joined again by the Company's Domain, the above mentioned problems were automatically Resolved.
    My question are
    Does the installation involve the Domain although I have installed it locally (on my system, not for the network).
    (From the above mentioned experiance, it seems to be true.)
    Can't we changed it so that my system is either connected to domain or not but my DB, Forms and Reports keep on working Fine.
    * Do we need to change the TNSnames.ora, Listener.ora, and sqlnet.ora?*
    In the sqlnet.ora, the NAMES.DEFAULT_DOMAIN = nsn-intra.net entry is present. Should I have to change it?
    In tnsnames.ora, the
    ORADB9I.*NSN-INTRA.NET* =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = pkisb1020d)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = ORADB9i)
    In Listener.ora, there is HOST = PKISB1020D is present.
    Should I have to change all PKISB1020D (My System ID on Domain) to *127.0.0.1*.
    Also Remove the nsn-intra.net from the files or somethinmg else to be done to overcome the connectivity problems.
    Best Regards
    Thunder2777

    Start the computer.
    Before connecting to Internet or Intranet of Company
    Turn on services of Oracle Database. When Database is Up and Running, Connect Forms and Reports to Database.
    They will CONNECT to Database without any ERROR.
    After that conect your computer with internet or intranet.
    All will then work FINE.
