Form dump
Hi dear people..I have a prblm with my form, I'm developin a form of 4 pages, I have not written a print program for the same just designed the layout for it so far but while checkin its output in the form itself (to see the layout design & hard coded text) I get a dump error saying while calling this function module it raised an error 'SSFCOMP_GENERATE_SMART_FORM'
if l_docentry-tdwtype = c_wtype_main and l_main_width is initial.
l_main_width = l_docentry-tdwwidths.
elseif l_docentry-tdwtype = c_wtype_main.
if l_main_width <> l_docentry-tdwwidths.
err_comp ssf_err_main_width_changed 'A' 080
(ERROR HERE) space space space space.
endif.
endif.
endloop.
this is wher the error happens..What could be the problem?
Ok. I would suggest you do something. First, check if you give all the page formats same, even then it is throwing a dump. And if it is, then the size of the windows is not same. Adjust the size and make sure they are same...write the values on a piece of paper and enter the same in the next page of the window.
Then, try giving different formats for different pages.

Adobe Form dumps in Web Dynpro ABAP Application but opens up by Report
Hello Experts,
I created a form and tested it by creating a report which contains following code,
call function 'FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'
exporting
i_name = lv_form_name "my form name
importing
e_funcname = iv_function_name.
*retrieve data in lt_items
call function iv_function_name
exporting
/1bcdwb/docparams = fp_docparams
it_item = lt_items
is_header = is_header
control_parameter = ls_control_parameters
importing
/1bcdwb/formoutput = fp_formoutput
exceptions
usage_error = 1
system_error = 2
internal_error = 3.
However when I try to do it on click of a button in my Web Dynpro Application, it dumps (the action has very much the similar code).
The error is: USAGE_ERROR
SY-TITLE HTTP Control
SY-MSGTY E
SY-MSGID FPRUNX
SY-MSGNO 111
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards,

Active Adobe Form dumps, instead inactive form is succesfull.
Hey all,
I'm having a weird problem with Adobe Forms (SFP). When I activate my form and test it, it gives an error. Instead when I don't activate my form and test it, it is succesfull. I can live with this but when I use function FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME to get the function behind the form the wrong function is found (the function behind the active form is found).
Anyone with a solution? Suggestions? Thanks!
SiegfriedHI ,
The following process is the one of the procedure to find the error log.
From SM59, you can get the ADS server name .Open the HTTP connections, open ADS connection.( may be the name will be in this manner <i><b>pwdf2625</b></i> )
Replace the <SERVER> with name found above in the following folder location and open that folder.
<b><SERVER></b>\ADS\SYS\global\AdobeDocumentServices\renderErrorLog\errorFiles
There you will find one PDF in which the errors are listed.Sort the all pdf files by date and user ( user name = your SAP login name) -
Responses going into wrong form
I created a form, and then copied it and renamed it. The original form is for vendors to view and play with, for a proposal process. The 2nd form is for people to actually respond to. I advertsie the 2nd form on a website, and all the links are correct. However, I am getting responses from the 2nd form dumped into the first form. I don't want to close the first form, because i want it to be viewed by vendors submitting proposals. I have done this with several other forms and I'm concernd this will continue to happen. Both forms have distinct URLs, so I'm not sure why this is happening.
Help!!!Thanks.
This is the first form, that is more of a test form, and responses are coming into here that shouldn't be coming - responses 1 through 3 should be in the 2nd form, the 4th response is a test response: https://adobeformscentral.com/?f=A0RbyH00%2AMzZbcG5l1gfsA
This is the 2nd form that responses should be coming into: https://adobeformscentral.com/?f=6qiuxTHSQSDl-tFtiVRbpA
And I added you as coauthor.
Thanks, Michelle

1. The JRE crashed after startup. Many times, but not always, if such a crash occurs it will leave a JRE dump file on the desktop. Its content may help to identify the cause.
2. The Forms runtime crashed at startup. Many times, but not always, a Forms dump file will be created on the server. Its content may help to identify the cause.
3. The Forms runtime was unable to start at all. This can occur on unix systems when/if there is a resource or permissions issue. One of the more common causes is if the file descriptor (nofiles) value is set too low.
4. The applet is actually running, but has attempted to display a dialog box and is awaiting your acknowledgement, but the box was wrongfully sent to the background behind the browser. A similar issue was reported in one of the JRE 1.6.0_xx series, however I don't recall which one. Uninstall your current version and install the latest which is 1.6.0_27
There are other possibilities, but these are most common.
I would recommend the following:
1. Uninstall any JRE older than 1.6.0_27. Reboot. Install 1.6.0_27
2. Set networkRetries=5 in formsweb.cfg
3. Set FORMS_TIMEOUT to 15 (default). Setting to a high value as you have is not recommended and is rarely necessary.
4. Verify that the test form works. For example:
http://machine:port/forms/frmservlet?form=test
5. It appears that you are trying to use WU_TEST_106.fmx. Instead, download an updated version of this file (the name has also changed)
http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/196249.zip
6. Ensure that you have compiled webutil.pll into .plx. Do not use an old version of this file. The installation will include one. If not, check for it in an installation that also includes the Builders. -
ORA-00922 error when user calls sys.verify_function from forms
Hi there,
I have a form to change the user's current password.
After user provides new password and clicks on OK button, it calls a database procedure called "change_pwd" which calls the Alter command.
I modified the SYS.verify_function, which has the code
-- rule Passwords can only contain A-Z, 0-9, _
violate_rule_five := FALSE;
FOR v_char IN 1 .. lv_pwd_len
LOOP
v_this_char := UPPER (SUBSTR (PASSWORD, v_char, 1));
IF ( ((v_this_char >= 'A') AND (v_this_char <= 'Z'))
OR ((v_this_char >= '0') AND (v_this_char <= '9'))
OR (v_this_char = '_')
THEN
violate_rule_five := FALSE;
ELSE
violate_rule_five := TRUE;
GOTO violrule5;
END IF;
END LOOP;
<<violrule5>>
IF violate_rule_five = TRUE
THEN
raise_application_error (-20600, lv_error_msg);
END IF;When i try to change the password to 'blah-blah1' i expect it to show be error 20600. But instead shows ORA-00922.
Why is this happening?
All other rules in the verify_function are working correctly.
Please help.
I added the [ code ] tags to make the code easier to read.

How to do exporting Forms and Reports using Navision Tool 2009
Dear Microsoft,
I am looking for the information for exporting my all forms from NAVISION 2009 tool to desktop in extracted form,till now we can export them either single form or consolidated forms dump, but my query is if my project has 6 forms then i could extract all
6 in one shot and save them independently and individually on my desktop in one go.

AsheeshHi Asheesh,
From your description the issue is not related to Windows Forms Designer forum "Discuss features of the Windows Forms designer inside of Visual Studio as well as custom control designers and hosting the Windows Forms designer in your app."
I'll move your case to "Where is the forum for" which may show you some direction.

FRM-40734 when calling external DLL Function from Forms 6
Even though some answers were given to my previous help request ("Again: Forms 6 and user-defined data types") I wasn't able to solve the problem of passing a parameter of an user-defined type to an external DLL function residing in the SECURSIGN.DLL library (the closest solution was to declare that "composite" parameter using the ROWTYPE clause referencing a custom-made table created just for the sake of defining that perticular datatype).
So I concentrated on SECURSIGN.DLL functions using more trivial data types, like a function requiring just four character strings as parameters.
I generated the necessary PL/SQL support using the FFI.
I discovered that also the simplest calls to external functions fail at runtime with the generic error FRM-40734.
I located the error: it happens just at the moment of calling the function from within the FFI-generated package body. Before that, the DLL is loaded with no problem, the function is correctly registered, and a function handle is regularly returned.
As long as I can regularly issue the very same call with the very same parameters from Visual Basic, I can't understand what's going wrong (ALL the needed DLL are in the same directory as the FMB/FMX forms).
I will greatly appreciate any help that You may be able to provide.I have noticed just now that a dump file having a name like ifrun60_dump_299, is generated by FORMS every time I issue the aborted call to the foreign function.

Loop over form values & insert into db
Form
prod_id prod_name prod_price prod_status
001 product 001 1.00 1
002 product 002 2.00 1
003 product 003 3.00 0
004 product 004 4.00 0
Form Dump
prod_name product 001,product 002,product 003,product 004
FIELDNAMES prod_id, prod_name, prod_price, prod_status
prod_price 1.00,2.00,3.00,4.00
prod_status 1,1,0,0
prod_id 001,002,003
I want to update a few fields, prod_price and prod_status. I submit these values to my update page but I'm not sure how to loop over these values and update by the prod_id. In my update page I'm using cfdump and I see the structure of the form, the fieldnames as well as the prod_id, prod_name, etc and their values.
My question is how do I loop over these form values so I'll be able to update by each prod_id? I've played around with looping over the form collection values but no luck.When I do stuff like this, I append the "id" value to the end of each form field. That enables me to ensure the other fields match up.
When processing the form, I generally do something like this:
<cfloop list="#form.fieldnames# index="ThisField">
<cfif left(ThisField, 9) is "prod_name">
<cfscript>
ThisID = removechars(thisfield, 9);
ThisName = form["prod_name" & ThisID];
same for other fields
Then do something with those variables. -
Count the number of values selected in a form
Hello

Here is my form dump:
I want to count the values circled in red.
So the number I want in this case is 5.
Any suggestions?Aegis,
Yeah, good point. Here is a minor tweak:
<cfset total = 0>
<cfloop collection="#FORM#" item="field">
<cfif field NOT IS "fieldnames">
<cfset total += ListLen( FORM[ field ] )>
</cfif>
</cfloop>
<cfoutput>
<p>Total: #total#</p>

Need help soon or else I am going to throw my computer out
the window.
My problem is simple (or so I thought). I would like to
collect data from people using a simple form. I thought all I would
have to do is create the form (done this already), and have the
form dump the info into a file (say a database). Then I could go
into the database and look at the data at my leisure. This is
proving far too difficult.
Steps I have taken so far:
1. I have created the form.
2. I have created the associated database using ACCESS 2000.
3. I have talked to my provider, they use ASP
This is where I get stuck. I want the info dumped into my
database. This apparently is not so easy. I have scoured the
internet for a layman's tutorial, but to no avail. There is talk of
a script required. Where does this go, in dreamweaver or elsewhere?
I switched to dreamweaver from FrontPage recently because of
the power behind the program. However, FrontPage is sooooo much
easier when it comes to collecting data. Why is dreamweaver so much
more difficult?
I am getting frustrated and hope someone out there can give
me a hand.>I switched to dreamweaver from FrontPage recently because

Because FP relies on a propriatary server technology that is
installed on the Windows Server.
DW works with all kinds of operating systems, web servers and
technologies. For some tasks, like the one you are inquiring about,
it has server behaviors that essential write the server side
scripts for you. Again, read the tutorial I mentioned. -
Urgent CFGrid-Combo-DataProvider Question

Writing additional charges in Order
Hi,
I have to write additional charges in the Dialog Order (139) in relation to weight.
Some facts affecting the proceeding:
1)
The weight have to be sumed up iterative. So it is not possible to work with Formatted Search and I have to work over the UI.
Steps I finished already:
1)
Activating the devilery-costs in the settings of Order. The Form "dumps" is available over a linked button.
The column 3 is the column that takes the amount and sends his value to the textbox additional charges.
2)
A program that reads all the values I need to determine the value of costs out of a UDT
the following steps I tried:
1)writing in the matrix of dumps
this.form = null;
this.form = this.sboConnection.getSBOApplication().Forms.GetFormByTypeAndCount(3007,1); //formType = 3007
this.matrix = (Matrix)this.form.Items.Item("3").Specific;
this.editText = (EditText)this.matrix.Columns.Item("3").Cells.Item("1").Specific;
this.editText.Value = amount;
problem: the program drops out when I try to initialize the form
2)writing to the textbox additional charges in form Order
this.form = this.sboConnection.getSBOApplication().Forms.GetFormByTypeAndCount(139,1);
this.editText = (EditText)this.form.Items.Item("89").Specific;
this.editText.String = amount;
problem: I cannot set the value, I because the item disabled. When I try to enable it the program drops out.
The table for the charges is OEXD. But the only value that affects the corresponding cell or textbox is fixed amount.
The Order- Dialog gets it, when it is loading.
Maybe somebody has a hint for me.
I will appreciate it.
MarcFrom my point of view, i would suggest to use the DI-API,
access the Document-Object (and the Document-Objects
child, the DocumentsAdditionalExpenses-Object) after
the order is saved.
But I suppose you would like to add the Additional Expenses before the order is saved,
so the user who wants to save the order can see the additional costs
and decide whether to save or not?
According to the Manual, Additional Expenses must be defined.
(Administration-> System Initialization-> Document Settings, General Tab->
Define Expenses button)
By DI-API, use the AdditionalExpenses-Object, in VB6 something like
Dim objAddExp As AdditionalExpenses
Set objAddExp = vCmp.GetBusinessObject(oAdditionalExpenses)
'// set needed properties here
objAddExp.Add
1)
"UI-API-Clicking" Item 91 will open the Expenses Window
with type 3007 (I think thats what you do at the moment).
Hm, you get the handle to the window GetFormByTypeAndCount..
> problem: the program drops out when I try to initialize the form
What do you mean with: the program drops? When you call GetFormByTypeAndCount?
Maybe you are to early with GetFormByTypeAndCount and should Sleep() and DoEvents or
something until the form is loaded?
Personally I would try to store the "new" Expenses value somewhere,
react on the FORM_OPEN, fill the remembered value to the matrix
and UI-press Item 1.
This way you don't need to have a reference from the order form to the expenses form
or the other way arround, the expenses form is modal, anyway.
2)
According to the UI-API manual, you can't enable system items.

FRM-40734 when calling a foreign function requiring more than 1 dll
I have been experiencing difficulties in calling external DLL functions from SECURSIGN.DLL. This time no peculiar type of parameter is involved, just four varchar2.
A dump file "ifrun60_dump_nnn" is generated by FORMS every time I issue the aborted call to the foreign function.
Inside the form dump file, apart from useless info like Registers and so on, the message: "Could not find Module32First"
I know for sure that SECURSIGN.DLL needs also other DLLs, and that the first foreign function I call, calls other functions in other DLLs. I found that Module32First is a routine within each of the following DLLs:
Cl32
d2kwut32
d2kwut60
I copied all those DLLs in the current work directory along with my FMB/FMX, in ORANT\BIN, in C:\WINNT\SYSTEM.
I modified the PROCEDURE LoadLibrary (part of the FFI-generated PLL code) to load those DLLs along with SECURSIGN.DLL: no problem in loading all the DLLs that I wish, but the error persists.
How can I avoid all that mess and the FRM-40734 error?? Is there a specific problem in resolving the references to other DLLs?
Please notice that - on the same computer - in Visual Basic everything (and the very same call in particular) works perfectly.I have noticed just now that a dump file having a name like ifrun60_dump_299, is generated by FORMS every time I issue the aborted call to the foreign function.
Inside the form dump file, apart from useless info like Registers and so on, the message:
