FORM RESOURCES

I am new in Oracle Form and i do not have any idea about it. I need to develop oracle form. Plz give me some resources that will help me to work from the scratch.

Hello,
The starting point is here:

  • Create XML Form Resource with Repository Framework API

    Hi KM Experts,
    What's the procedure to create an XML Form Resource based on an exisitng XML Form Type?
    I'm working with SAP EP 6 SP2 so I assume I need to use following interfaces:
    IXMLForm
    IXMLFormManager
    IXMLFormsService
    But how do I create a new resource of XMLForm type ...

    Which database release are you using...

  • Forms resource file - fmrweb.res

    Friends,
    When I ran my forms6i by pressing "Run in Web Mode",Button, it
    executes in web mode. I was told that, it uses resource file
    fmrweb.res for key mapping.
    I would like know more about fmrweb.res ( resource file) and
    what all properties I can set in it for application.
    Any pointers/documents/tip would be highly appreciated.

    FFN 95 is the function for List Tab Pages. Some sharp guy in Oracle hardcoded it to F2 so that if you ever want to use F2 for anything else, you MUST include a 95 someplace in your fmrweb.res file and reassign it. I reassign the List Tab Pages as follows:
    113  : 11: "Ctrl+Alt+Shift F2":95: " List Tab Pages"Now, for the other issue: If the key always shows up, you can precede the description with a hex A0 (decimal 160 character), which shows up as a space, but sorts higher than A-Z, so it will appear last in your show keys list.
    And try assigning it to FFN 82 through 91, which are named Function 0 through Function 9. With one of those functions, unless your form has a KEY-Fn trigger defined, then pressing F10 will probably get an "FRM-41008: Undefined function key" error.

  • Could not parse mapping document form resource

    What is meaning of this error
    Could not parse mapping document from resource user.hbm.xml
    log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (org.hibernate.cfg.Environment).
    log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException
         at UserClient.main(UserClient.java:39)

    I also faced same problem when i wrote my first hibernate mapping file, this error will accur because of bad xml parser design, the parser developer did not even validate and remove blank lines from xml before parsing it, becuse of that if there is first blank line in your xml mapping file then we will get "The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][lL]" is not allowed" error.
    Solution: Just check is there any blank line at the begining of your hibernate mapping file if so remove that then it will works fine.

  • Key-nextrec not firing in forms 10g

    I have a code in the above trigger, but it is not firing, I have it in the block property and no other place in the form
    message('In key next rec----'); message(' ');
    IF :SYSTEM.Last_Record = 'TRUE' Then
    Null;
    Else
    next_record;
    End If;

    when-new-record-instance runs when you navigate to the next record.
    Key-Nxtrec (Nxtrec is the correct spelling) only runs when you press the key assigned to call that trigger. In my environment, it is the Shift+ Down-Arrow key, but it could be just Down-Arrow -- it all depends on what key sequence is assigned to Forms Function Number 67 in your Forms Resource file, FMRWEB.res (or fmrusw.res).
    So if the trigger runs when you press the correct keyboard key, and you issue the message but do not call the Next_Record; built-in, focus will not navigate to the next record in your running form.

  • Image not displayed in pdf generated using Java API for Forms service

    Hi,
    I am creating a pdf document using Java API for Forms Service.
    I am able to generate the pdf but the images are not visible in the generated pdf.
    The image relative path is coming in the xml as defined below. The images are stored dynamically in the Livecycle repository each time a request is fired with unique name before the xml is generated.
    <imageURI xfa:contentType="image/png" href="../Images/logo.png"></imageURI>
    Not sure if I need to specify specify specific URI values that are required to render a form with image.
    The same thing is working when I generate pdf document using Java API for Output Service.
    As, I need to generate interactive form, I have to use Forms service to generate pdfs.
    Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Below is the code snippet:
                //Create a FormsServiceClient object
                FormsServiceClient formsClient = new FormsServiceClient(myFactory);
                //Specify URI values that are required to render a form
                URLSpec uriValues = new URLSpec();
                                  // Template location contains the whole rpository path for the form
                uriValues.setContentRootURI(templateLocation);
               // The base URL where form resources such as images and scripts are located.  Whole Image path is passed in BaseUrl in the http format.
                      String baseLocation = repositoryPath.concat(serviceName).concat(imagesPath);
                                  uriValues.setBaseURL(baseLocation);
                // Set run-time options using a PDFFormRenderSpec instance
                PDFFormRenderSpec pdfFormRenderSpec = new PDFFormRenderSpec();
                pdfFormRenderSpec.setCacheEnabled(new Boolean(true));
                pdfFormRenderSpec.setAcrobatVersion(com.adobe.livecycle.formsservice.client.AcrobatVersio n.Acrobat_8);
                                  //Invoke the renderPDFForm method and write the
                //results to a client web browser

    Regards,

    in the web.xml, you can specify some security setting , also the the protected
    resources are grouped by url pattern, so to avoid that ,you can group the protected
    url pattern to exclude the form resource, so the form resource page don't need
    to protected. or if weblogic is really smart , they should in default to leave
    the form page or error page or welcome page unprotected.
    Hope that helps.

  • Need advice for form deployment

    We are using approx. 500 forms in an LC Update1 environment. This forms have been deployed under the resource tab in workbench and used by a formportal, built by the customer. We are going to move to ES3 and my question is where should we put the forms (+fragments and schemas)?
    Should we stay with resources (and have to import them with adminui) or create an application and put them there (is it ok to have this amount of files in an application?) or could we use the filesystem? Any pros and cons are appreciated.
    Thanks
    Tommy

    In an upgrade scenario, it is better that one continues with the existing approach of deploying forms (Resources or Application).
    If you change the approach, then you  may have to change all the places (portals, processes etc) which were referring to these forms.

  • GETFORMATTRIB() not available to form/section triggers

    Hello all,
    I am just wondering why the DAL function - GETFORMATTRIB() returns nothing when used in a form/image trigger.
    Attribute values are set to all the forms well in advance and why these cannot be made availabe before Gendata() ? Any reason?
    Thanks !
    Navin

    The form attributes and metadata are part of the content of the form resource stored in the library. The triggering process doesn't actually load the form resource from the library and therefore doesn't have access to content within the form. The normal process is that triggering decides to include the form based upon your extract data and then the form is loaded from the library. After you add the form, you can then check the attributes and metadata assigned to the form.
    I suppose - with some enhancement - there could be certain attributes defined within the Form List (group) file for a given form that might be accessible during the triggering process, but as a general rule, no one wants the performance hit of loading forms from the library that may not become part of the transaction. Therefore, any attributes defined within the form itself will not be available prior to triggering it.

  • Oracle forms 6i compatibility with 11g

    Hi,
    We are in the process of migrating our Oracle to version 11g, due to a product upgrade.
    The current system is on Oracle 9i and holds Oracle forms developed on Oracle 6i, will this form still be usable on Oracle 11g after upgrade? or do we also need to upgrade the Oracle developer suite to 11g?
    If the developer Suite is also required to be upgraded to 11g, then is it required that the coding syntax/conventions within the existing forms will change?
    I am not a forms resource and trying my hands on an upgrade directly. Please assist

  • Problem caching EPS files with multiple forms

    I'm attempting to use multiple forms for caching 1 or more EPS Files in a postscript document. I've followed Technical Note #5144 to the letter and use the "array of strings" method since I have to support Postscript level 2 printers. The arrays appear to be loaded with strings representing the EPS as expected.
    If I use only a single form with 1 EPS it works great. I can execute the form anywhere on the page as many times as I want. If I add a 2nd form to the page it causes strange behavior. The 2nd form is drawn regardless of if I execute it or not. Even if I comment out ALL execform calls it still shows the 2nd form (the page should be blank).
    I've boiled down the code to a faily simple example. I took out all the binary EPSF content for each form and instead have each form draw a circle.
    If working write this postscript should be drawing a smiley face using 4 circles.
    Should look something like this:
    0 0
    0
    <> <--- This should show like a stretched out circle.
    However, the mouth is actually drawn very small down in the lower left hand corner of the page. If you change the order of the forms definition then the mouth is drawn correctly but not the eyes and nose.
    The forms as named EPSForm-Circle and EPSForm-Circle2
    Here's the postscript

  • OIM - Filtering several resources in requests

    People,
    we have here a lot of resources (more than 3,000), and we want to find a way to filter them (at Grant Resource screen, at the point when you must select one or more resource/s to grant). It is not possible for us to make final users navigate through thouthands of resources in order to reach the one they want. Any ideas?

    *1)* Well there is an OOTB filter available from the product for that purpose. As you progress to Step 3: Provide resources of the Grant Resource option, you will automatically see a drop down for filter values as follows:
    Resource Name - Name of the Resource Objects as created in OIM.
    Resource Form - Resource Form name for that resource.
    So you are never supposed to navigate through thousands of resources to fetch your required resource. The whole thing which I talked about is when you are requesting to create a Grant Resource request for other users as your question stated.
    *2)* If in case you are talking about the self request part then you can do it with the help of UI customization by extending the action class for tcRequestProvisionResourceAction. You can just update the JSP to also show an extra filter criterion with filter values fetched from a pre-defined lookup in OIM. In addition to it you will also put a search Go button which calls your method to curtail the final resultset which is passed to the populateTableData method for resource list.
    Hope this is what you wanted to ask.
    Thanks
    Sunny

  • Translate Existing Oracle forms application

    Hi,
    I would like to know about approach i should take to convert existing oracle forms(forms6i) application and db to cater for multiple languages ,
    actually the approach which i am taking is to convert forms resources(labels,texboxe) to various languages(using forms windows API) from whatever there in database.But the main issue is about db ,so can anyone help me out that.....
    As far as discussion with few people ...as per them its better to create db in UTF8 characterset and that will cater all languages.
    Please let me know whether this approach will work or not ....
    Regards,
    Sandeep

    As client is not going to upgrade ,but still he wants to make existing application multilingual....
    so is there any way out.

  • Local MS Access file and SET COUNT

    I have a small app that relies on a local MS Access database file for retrieving and storing information.
    I've used the "Add new data source" wizard in Visual Studio and then I've bound a couple of richtextboxes to the one (1) table in the database file.
    I use this code to let the user save updated text to the file, however it sometimes keeps throwing an error. The code is:
    MyDataBindingSource.EndEdit()
    CustomersTableAdapter.Update(CustomerdatabaseDataSet)
    The error thrown, seemingly at random, but probably occuring when the users edit multiple values, is this: "An unhandled exception of type 'System.Data.DBConcurrencyException' occurred in System.Data.dll". According to http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/310375/en-us
    I should set "NOCOUNT" to OFF instead of ON, but no amount of googling is able to tell me how to do that. I've been all over my code and the queries/code generated by the VS wizard, but I cant find any NOCOUNT setting anywhere.
    Help, please?

    Hello again
    Does this output help? I've also pasted the code I'm using below. Many thanks, really out in the deep end here
