Form Submit doesn't work in toolbox

Hi!
I downloaded public accessible toolbox from Adobe webpages. In ProcessPDF.lar workflow example, there is used Formserver Submit action. Unfortunatel it throw exception and doesn't work:

I haven't imported that particular lar file, but usually a null-pointer expection means that one of your inputs is missing.

Forms - submit button not working

A client asked me to create an eflyer with a registration form included to be emailed out. I added form fields to the form page and an email submit button. Works fine on my Mac - opens Entourage correctly addressed and with the xfdf file attached. Tested on Parallels Desktop running Windows XP Pro and this seemed to work too. However when my client tested it on her PC, when she clicked on the submit button nothing happened. It works for her on the web but understandably she want's it to work when people receive the PDF as an attachment to an email. She uses Outlook as her email client.
Any thoughts? Many thanks.

Thanks for your comment. I've sent a new PDF to the client with the extended rights turned on and this still doesn't work, as you thought. I know I've read about how unreliable emailing PDF forms can be but I wanted a simple solution on a document that my client wants to email to her contacts. Maybe it's just not a good idea to start with though you'd think that seeing as how adobe have added the feature it might just work! When I tried on Windows running on my Mac when I clicked send it asked me whether I wanted to use local or web-based email which implied you could use either? (I don't have an email client currently set up under windows as I only use it for opening the odd PC only file that clients send me which is I guess why it asked the question rather than chaining straight into an email window).
I'm attaching the document in question. The form is on page 3.

Form submit button doesnt work in firefox 7.0.1 but works fine in IE and Chrome.

I have a site that the add to shopping cart submit button isnt working in firefox 7.0.1. I tested it in other browsers like ie, chrome and safari and it works fine. Even hitting enter doesnt submit the form in forefox. Can anyone look at this page and let me know how to fix this please so it works in firefox. Thanks

Reset form button doesn't work

The Reset Button of a procedure form doesn't work if we call this form from a dynamic page, however it works if we call it from a form portlet.
In the first case, it clean everything, and goes to a blank page with just the form in the content.
The second case works alright.
�What can I do?

Submit Form button doesn't work in interactive form opened in Reader created in InDesign6

One of the features I was really looking forward to in CS6 was creating fillable forms with ONE application. I created a form following the step by step instructions in classroom in a book for CS6. When I opened the exported form in Reader X, I get a "This operation is not permitted" error. I opened the completed "end" document in the lesson to make sure I didn't commit an error, and I got the same message when exporting. I have looked for places in menus to modify security restrictions and I can't find any. I installed the updates and that didn't solve the issue.
I saw one solution posted which is to open the document in Acrobat, then do a "save as" option. Is there anything we can do that doesn't involve buying additional software? If this is not the case, then Adobe seriously needs to change its training and advertising about this functionality.

While I'm at it, here's a quote from Adobe's website, describing the Forms functions in InDesign CS6:
Using InDesign you can create simple forms within InDesign, without needing to touch up the PDF document in Acrobat after publishing. You can add simple form elements within the document pages. Common field types such as text fields, radio buttons, check boxes, or signatures are supported. You can also add actions to submit the form by email or to print it.

Submit doesn't Work in Reader online, but does on desktop??

HI folks, I had a form that was working online, but now is not (with Reader update? )
If I open the form in Reader 10 on my desktop and click submit, it asks appropriately if I want to use a desktop app or web app.
I have tried using Submit with XFDF ata, FDF and Full PDF but none work online for me or my clients.
I have enabled or extended Rights to Reader under the advanced menu.
Now the problem appears to be related to online viewing with the embedded reader plugin in the browser, which opens the form in a web page. Attempting this in Firefox forces a download, which fixes the problem. So I either need a way to fix this for online viewing or force a download when someone has the browser plugin.
Any suggestions? TIA!!!!

ALSO, if I open it in IE 9, and choose to open the file, it opens in Adobe Digital Editions, and it cannot be modified, the forms cannot be filled out.

I want to go back to the old versions of Firefox where everything worked. I fill in a lot of online forms and need my LastPass form filler to work. I regret that I downloaded the new version today.

"Providing interactive database lookup from forms" sample doesn't work with Acrobat Reader 7

I have downloaded and tested the Adobe sample "Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.0, Providing interactive database lookup from forms". Everything works great in Acrobat Professional Full version, however, when I tested it in Acrobat Reader 7.0.5, it generated a "script failed..." message.
Did anybody have the same problem? You can download the sample from here:

Hi Jie,
Database connectivity is a feature supported in Acrobat only , not Reader--unless the PDF has been extended with Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions.

Interactive PDF Form Submit Button Not Working

Hi there,
I created an Interactive PDF in InDesign with a form included in the document. When I export as an interactive PDF my Adobe Reader will allow me to fill out the form no problem, however, when I click submit to connect the form to my email, it says "operation not permitted". Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Reader prior to version 11 cannot save the document unless it is Reader-enabled, which you can do with Acrobat. Exactly how depends on which version you're using. In Acrobat 11: File > Save as Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools

Forms Help doesn't work

F1 and ctrl+h cannot invoke Help in Forms 6.0. They worked before. What's wrong?

Check all instances of your key-help triggers to see if they exist and if so, whether they have a line as follows

if this is not the case then you probably have a key-others trigger that is nulling the keystrokes

Just to be clear, that final question was asked 7/11/2011, it's now 5/5/2015, and still no one has bothered to respond? These forums are a lot of things; annoying, unspecific, hard to follow, but one thing they are NOT is helpful. Perhaps they should be hosted somewhere other than in the Help section?

How come forms central doesn't work with my iPhone?

Forms Central works great from a PC, but when I try and load the sign in page using my iPhone, it tries to load a page, gets half way, then a new web address comes up, tries to load that page, and goes back and fourt and is stuck in a loop. What's happening?

Acrobat Form Submit button not working with Reader

I created a form using Acrobat Pro 9 with a submit button function. When I email the form to users they are only allowed to submit the form if they have Acrobat Standard or Pro. For users that have Acrobat Reader they are able to open complete the fields and print the document but are unable to use the submit function. They receive the following message "This operation is not permitted".
I need all Adobe users including Reader to be able to submit this form. How do I fix this?

You need to Reader-enable the form in Acrobat by selecting: Advanced > Extend Features in Adobe Reader
This is because the form needs to be saved before it is attached to an email, and Reader normally cannot save a modified form. Reader 11 is able to save a modified form, however.

Submit form doesn't work in edge Inspect

I have a contact form in my web and when i submit a form that doesn't work in edge inspect. Edge Inspect after a short time program stops working unfortunately. Form is not submitting and email also is not send. I have a form and i use AJAX to send form data with email to client.

To be clear, where are you clicking the send button, in Chrome or on your Galaxy 2? And the application on the phone locks up? For example, you can't click the button in the upper right and see the menu?

Give this a try... open the page up in Chrome and wait for it to show up on your phone. Without clicking the send button, press the button in the upper right corner of the Edge Inspect client on your phone and choose the "Open in Browser" option. That will open a new window in the native browser on your device. When your page shows up there, click the "Send" button and tell us whether it works or not and describe what happens.
Also, can you zip up the necessary code to repro this problem and send it to me at mrausch (at) adobe (dot) com ?

Urgent - Upgraded Form doesn't works well with values saved by previous ver

Hi all,
Form i m working on has changed many times due to change in requirments.
Everytime i do addition in old form, it doesn't works well be data saved by older versions.
e.g.
Current Version that i have upgraded fetchs the data well from database on query. But when i save it, clear or exit the form and then re-query that data, it doesn't show up instead meassage comes that query caused no records to be fetched.
i checked at database level, data is there.
and when i tried to call data from old form, it also refused to show it (data that was previously entered by itself but then saved by new form).
what could be the problem and i can i resolve it.
plz note that in all of this process, there are no database level changes, only form level changes.

sounds like spaces are being padded at the end of the data
check the length of the values you've changed in sqlplus and see if they are indeed right padded
