Formatting text in the Notes Pane

Does anyone know if there is a way to format the text in the
Notes Pane window?

Depending on which version of the plug-in you have, there are
a couple of directions you can take:
With Presenter 6.x, you can incorporate bolding and
italicizing of your notes while authoring in PowerPoint. As far as
I know (at least having tested this with Presenter 6.0 on a Vista
machine running PowerPoint 2007), you still can't format notes
beyond the simple application of bolding or italicizing...meaning
that you can't style your notes with color, etc.
With Breeze 5.x, this gets a bit stickier, and without
getting too far down "into the weeds on this", text formatting in
the notes panel will most likely depend on which version of Breeze
you're using. Generally speaking, however, in order to see any kind
of formatting displayed in the Notes panel of a presentation means
that you have to alter a line of code in the viewer.xml document
that's created once you publish your deck....and here's how:
1. Go ahead and add bold and italics treatment as
necessary...and then publish your deck--for this procedure, the
premise is that you're publishing locally to your computer.
2. Navigate to the Data directory of the published
presentation.
3. Within the Data directory, you need to find and then open
the viewer.xml document. I'd recommend that you right-click it and
use Notepad to open the xml doc.
4. Now, when you're in Notepad, you can use Notepad's Find
and Replace feature to make the next series of steps much easier to
deal with. From the main menu in Notepad, click on Edit, and then
trace down and select "Replace..." or hit Control-H.
5. When the Find & Replace dialog box appears, in the
"Find what" field, type:
isHTML="false"
and in the "Replace with" field type:
isHTML="true"
6. Save and close down the viewer.xml doc
7. Now, if you re-run the course, any instance of formatting
that you created while in PowerPoint *should* appear in the Notes
panel of the Breeze/Presenter presentation.
Again, the ability to format text in the notes region is
still very much limited. And without specfically knowing which
version you're using, the above represents a basic guideline to
having simple formatting show up on a published presentation. IF
you're using an earlier version (ex: Breeze 4.0/5.0), then let me
know, because there are other steps you can take to ensure that
bolded or italicized text appears in the Notes tab.

  • Copy&paste formatted text from the web

    Hello,
    I'm from IT department. Employees graphic gave me a difficult task. They need to copy text from the web browser which is underlined, into Illustrator. The problem is that while pasting the text loses it's formatting. I found the solution about pasting the text into MS Word and then import it AI. Unfortunatly they not accept that way, the said "we need something more easy, it's possible, someone told us". Is there any other way to copy text from the web browser to illustrator with keeping format? Maybe plugins? I'm googling about 2 days about it and didn't find any other solution. Please help me.

    unfortunately it's not good solution because:
    1.) "omg, too much clicking, we need ctrl+c ctrl+v"
    2.) They change the text, change size, color, background etc in AI. When AI imports pdf all letters looks like seperate objects (it's hard to explain for me, because I'm not familiar with AI and my english is not good enough)

    I have a nested table, say TAB1, containing another table TAB2 which holds the formatted text.
    Sample data
    Entries in TAB1:

    Requirement:
    The requirement is to display the data in TAB1 as it is maintained.
    Trials:
    I am aware of the fact that we can transfer the content of the nested table (in this scenario, TAB2) in another table(of type TLINE) defined as a global variable in the interface of the form. Then in the context area, we can define a 'TEXT' node and bind it to the table and choose the 'Dynamic text' for the 'text type' attribute and maintain the other atrributes.
    But this approach cannot solve the issue as it is a nested table.
    Kindly suggest how can I resolve this issue.

    if its like colum1, column2 (tab2).
    you can represent column2 as a nested table in the form. and put these tables structure intoa subform of type flowed.
    then you can have the required format.
    the same can also be acheived using nested subforms instead of tables.
    example of such scenario is PO & line items.
    po number1 , items 1
                          item 2
                          item 3
    po number2 , items 1
                          item 2
                          item 3

    If some fields of tables in database contain html tags such as 'H<sub>2</sub>O' (here is html tag 'sub') or 'some<b>text</b>'(here is html tag 'b') how can I to make Report Builder 6i to understand these tags or at least don't show them?

    Hi Maxim,
    If the output is PDF, the only way is to filter the incoming values yourself. You will need to create a PL/SQL column and remove the HTML markup tags. This, of course, leaves you without attributes you wanted in text (ie: the no "Bold" characters). You can still do this in with the same report basing the output from the PL/SQl formula column on the "desformat" input parameter.
    Reports doesn't have any "markup" capability. ie: A field only has one font & one colour. You can have multiple fonts for boilerplate text but, again, only a single colour.

  • I can't copy and paste formatted text within the same or between Word and Excel documents

    I run Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 (English) (Student Select)
    when I try to copy any formatted text or tables within the same or different Word documents I will always loose the formatting. This is also true if I try to copy formats or formatted tables within Excel or from Excel to Word, see example screenshot:
    When I have a look at my paste options via 'Alt', 'e', 's' or 'Paste special' it only lets me choose between "Unformatted Text" or "Unformatted Unicode Text", see screenshot:
    Here is what I tried already:
    - In the advance options menu all options are on "keep formatting"
    - I uninstalled and reinstalled the entire office suit but keep having the same problem!
    Any ideas?

    I found the solution on another site, superuser.com, so I can't claim the solution as my own, but it worked for me. Kent Ng says: 
    I face the similar issue with Excel 2003. If you have installed Skype-Click-to-Call, just removed it to resolve this issue.

  • Error_DP: MIR6 Adding text to the Note tab then posting a parked document

    We receive an error when posting a parked document in MIR6 only when we click on Change mode and click on the Note tab.  Then when we click Post button, a Runtime error occurs.
    SAP Note 939340 was implemented to our QA system, but the problem persists.
    Runtime error is:  RAISE EXCEPTION.  Exception condition ERROR_DP raised.
    A raise statement in the program "C_TEXTEDIT=========CP" raised the exception.
    We think it is related to the billing block, but it only occurs when the Note tab is involved.
    Any ideas?

    it seems it is not a problem of MIR6/MIR4.
    It is a question of texedit control.
    There are several OSS Notes regarding this (depending on your version).

    I used to be able to do this in Outlook but not sure if this is a possibility now that I'm with Apple.
    It is a handy connectivity tool, particularly for organizing conference calls where you want the other participants to have some history on the subject mater.

    I understand you have done custom jar email notification for Transnet. I need to do this now for another component, Task Escalation. please contact me regarding correct way to do this. I have developed the custom java code to access Task info. What I need to know is that, does e-sourcing use its own queing mechanism to send out emails, if so what packages in IAPI does this use, or does it use normal java mail api to send out mails?

    Try going to System Preferences/Keyboard, selecting Application Shor...., clicking the + button, which will bring up the following screen. You can then Select Preview where All Applications is shown and try to create the command.

  • How do I format bullet lists in the Notes tab?

    I have a transcript of the audio narration in the Notes section of my source PowerPoint slides. When I publish with Adobe Presenter, these transcripts appear in the Notes tab in the published course. However, when I publish my course, any bullet lists that I may have formatted in the Notes view in PowerPoint, do not format correctly in the published course. The text of the bullets is there, but the bullet formatting is missing.
    I am using Adobe Presenter 8, PowerPoint 2007, and I'm running on Windows 7 Professional. I have tried saving my PowerPoint file in the PPTX format and in the older PPT format. Neither retains the bullet-list formatting in the published course.
    Is there a trick to getting lists to format correctly in the Notes tab?

    I'd like to be able to include some of the content I've created in a form as "formatted text" in the email summary / notification.  Right now, only the fields that require the end user to input data of some type are included in the summary.  Is there a way to do this?

    You can not include custom text in the notification email.  Only in the summary receipt email.  Can you explain what sort of text you want in the notification email?  Also, you may want to post this to the ideas section.  If others vote for it, there's a higher chance of us adding it in a future release.  The ideas forum can be found here - http://forums.adobe.com/community/formscentral?view=idea

        I add a button "Insert Image" besides the Formatted-Text-Edit,

       When user click the button, I want to insert a new text(URL of the image) at the cursor's position in Formatted-Text-Edit,
       But how can I get the cursor's position, and insert a new text at the cursor's position in FTE.
       Can anyone give me some suggestion or solution?

    I don't believe that you can get the cursor position yet with the FormattedTextEdit UI element. The best you could do currently is to place the insert at the end of the current text.

    Since Design View has been removed from Fluid Grid Layouts, and could be removed completely in next upgrade, I cannot use Live View to place complex text into my web pages.
    Our business requires the listing of complex job descriptions on our web pages.  Design View worked fine, Live View does not. Both examples are noted below.

    Obviously, as seen above, I'm doing something wrong or Live View does not do all the functions that Design View use to do.  I realize I can still access Design View in non-Fluid Grid Layout documents and that is my current work-around.  I copy from my Word file into Design View available in non-Fluid, then copy that code into my Fluid Grid Layout document, not real efficient use of my time.  And, even that work-around may not be available after the next upgrade.

    Hans thank you for your reply and attention to this matter.  Moreover, with your steeped expertise I do not, in any fashion, intend to be flippant or capricious. 
    However, I do not believe the reply is on point since I'm not discussing the insertion of an HTML tag/element; but rather, the placing of complex formatted text into my various web pages.
    Design View and  2014.1 Live View seem to serve different functions.  That is, Design View, for us, serves as a highly sophisticated HTML5 code generator that allows us to properly display complex formatted text that originally is created as a Word docx file.  As I noted in my original post, the complex formatted text from the Word file is then pasted into Design View and thus properly renders on the web page.  I invite you to try this yourself.  Simply copy my properly formatted text in my original post (that can be found at "Using Design View the web page rendered this way:") to a Word file, and it will retain the complex formatting, then copy that Word file text to both Design View and  2014.1 Live View files.  Please apprise me of your results.
    Discussion has been had in at least two separate threads on the Design View disappearance in Fluid Grid.  In https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1597260 staff member Lalita wrote "It would be helpful for us if you list the issues you are seeing with fluid grid live view editing."  And in https://forums.adobe.com/message/6807088#6807088 staff member Subhadeep wrote "If you can list down the workflows you are trying while editing in Live View & the issues you are facing in doing so, it will help us understand what is amiss & suggest alternative workflows to do the same."  I believe I've pointed out issues when attempting to use Live View for functions or work flow that customarily had been done in Design View.
    Being a CC subscriber, if someone can provide me with a workflow using other additional Adobe products to get my complex formatted text from Word ultimately to my Dreamweaver web page, be it an image insert or whatever, I would take the suggestions.
    The difference in the coding of my example in my original post is as follows.

    It is readily apparent that Design View is a much needed code generator in the Dreamweaver product.  Live View serves completely other, and needed, purposes.  Therefore, I still, after all the forum discussions, do not understand why Design View has been removed from Fluid Grid.
    Again Hans thank you for your reply.  But unless I'm missing something, citation to the links you provided does not solve my problem.  And that problem is this: If Design View is on its way out and thus will be completely removed from Dreamweaver at some point, then how do I provide my information (i.e. complex executive job descriptions) on my website?
    Apparently a vote is taking place https://forums.adobe.com/ideas/3922 on the issue of placing Design View back into Fluid Grid.  I do not understand why the need for two rather disjunctive functionalities are at the mercy of the democratic process.  These are matters of engineering principles not "town hall gatherings".
