I can't copy and paste formatted text within the same or between Word and Excel documents
I run Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 (English) (Student Select)
when I try to copy any formatted text or tables within the same or different Word documents I will always loose the formatting. This is also true if I try to copy formats or formatted tables within Excel or from Excel to Word, see example screenshot:
When I have a look at my paste options via 'Alt', 'e', 's' or 'Paste special' it only lets me choose between "Unformatted Text" or "Unformatted Unicode Text", see screenshot:
Here is what I tried already:
- In the advance options menu all options are on "keep formatting"
- I uninstalled and reinstalled the entire office suit but keep having the same problem!
Any ideas?

I found the solution on another site, superuser.com, so I can't claim the solution as my own, but it worked for me. Kent Ng says:
I face the similar issue with Excel 2003. If you have installed Skype-Click-to-Call, just removed it to resolve this issue.

It sounds like you have changed your Apple ID which you use with iTunes. If so there are several places you may need to update it as outlined in this article.

Copy&paste formatted text from the web
Hello,
I'm from IT department. Employees graphic gave me a difficult task. They need to copy text from the web browser which is underlined, into Illustrator. The problem is that while pasting the text loses it's formatting. I found the solution about pasting the text into MS Word and then import it AI. Unfortunatly they not accept that way, the said "we need something more easy, it's possible, someone told us". Is there any other way to copy text from the web browser to illustrator with keeping format? Maybe plugins? I'm googling about 2 days about it and didn't find any other solution. Please help me.thank you
unfortunately it's not good solution because:
1.) "omg, too much clicking, we need ctrl+c ctrl+v"
2.) They change the text, change size, color, background etc in AI. When AI imports pdf all letters looks like seperate objects (it's hard to explain for me, because I'm not familiar with AI and my english is not good enough) -
Cutting and Pasting Formatted Text
I have a script that searches for text with an outline color, removes the outlnie color, cuts it from the main "body" text, adds an anchored frame, applied an object style to that frame and pastes the cut text in the frame.
Everything works great except that it is REALLLLLLYYYY SSSSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWW.....
I'm wondering two things. 1, is there a way to cut text without havnig to select it first (which seems to be a slow point) and keep any current formatting, and 2, is there a way to get InDesign to stop jumping to the page on which the cutting is occurring? It looks like InD scrolls the pages when the cut occurs.
My code looks roughly like this (VBA, InD CS3).
I define the text area so search
Set SChar = InD.Selection(1).ParentStory.Characters(InD.Selection(1).InsertionPoints(-1).Index)
Set EChar = InD.Selection(1).ParentStory.Characters(-1)

I thought about using something like Foundd(i).cut or trying to simply set the text of the new frame to the text of the old frame but didn't see a way to do that and keep any potential formatting.WOW! Between not having to select the item and InD no longer scrolling through the pages I'm getting at least double the speed! Never thought of the move function in relation to text.

Now maybe the only other thing that might get a little more speed is adding the frame at the initial size I need rather than adding it then resizing it. Any thoughts on that would also be greatly appreciated.

ok. I am having a brain freeze and can't locate the answer in the OPA help. Simple question.
Is there a simple way to alias an attribute for use in Word?
For instance the following two conclusions create 2 attributes where I only want 1 attribute.
the annual percentage rate = 6
APR = the annual percentage rate
Is there a configuration option or something to alias APR as the annual percentage rate for use in Word? I want to use either in the same Word document. Something in my head tells me I saw that once before, but all of a sudden I have a brain freeze.

You may be thinking of the OPA legend style. In the Office 2007 OPM ribbon it's called Table Legend, but I believe it works with non-table rules in Word as well - it certainly used to.
It's an OPA rule style which can be used when you want to refer to a shorthand version of an attribute, e.g. "APR" instead of "the annual percentage rate". I believe it only applies to the rule immediately below where it has been set in the doc, and not the entire doc.
I did a quick search in the OPM Help and found references to the legend style, but I didn't find a description of the functionality (I didn't search too thoroughly though).
Here basically how it works...
Above the rule write the shorthand version, then the word "is", then the full attribute text, e.g.
APR is the annual percentage rateSide note: I always bold the "is" in the legend line. This is not required, but I like to do it because it makes it clearer at a glance which part is the shorthand and which part is the full attribute text.
Then apply the Table Legend style to the line, then put your Word table or regular rule below it, e.g.
[legend]APR is the annual percentage rate
the result = APR * 10 I use this functionality occasionally. Usually it's when I've got calculations in Word tables and I'm trying to make the left hand column more readable, e.g. using something "APR" in the formula so that it doesn't take up so much space.

SAP GRC 10 : Can we connect GRC to multiple clients within the same system
We are having this requirement to connect SAP GRC to two different clients within the QA System.
Just wondering whether this is possible to connect at the same time. We have created connectors in both the clients in ECC and in GRC we have connectors for both ECC Cllients. When I try to add the connector for second client in SPRO , it is not even showing up entry for that

If you have two ECC clients you would create two connectors to GRC. You would need two SM59 RFC connections (one for each client) to map them through.You can map them to the same logical group though.
What is not working for you? Did you define both clients as their own connectors?

IPhone 6 freezes while texting and receiving a text at the same time
Whenever I am texting someone on my new iPhone 6, if I get a notification (generally a different text message from someone else or sometimes any other notification) the whole phone lags for about 4 seconds and I have to wait for it to un-freeze.
Is anyone else having this issue? Anyone know how to fix it?

- Turn off imessaging
- Reset the network
- factory reset
It is starting to become REALLY irritating. I love my new 6 plus, but the texting issue is giving me a fit. Please Help! -
Can you link one folio to another within the same app?
Say you are designing an official guide for a large sports event.
FOLIO 1 is full of articles, features, interviews etc.
FOLIO 2 is updated daily with latest scores, fixtures and statistics.
Is it possible to have a button in Folio 1 that takes you to a page within Folio 2?

Copy and Paste Unformatted Text to documents
A very useful feature at times is the ability to copy and paste formatted text from pages (in this case webpage) to a document (text edit, word). Which means that what ever bold, font or style on a page is copied to the clipboard and then pasted identically to the document.

Many applications support this, but how it is implemented varies by application.
In many apps, if you paste using the Command-Option-V keyboard shortcut (instead of Command-V for paste), it will paste the clipboard contents either:
• Without the styles used in the document from which the text was copied.
• In the same style as the document into which you are pasting the text.
Some apps, e.g. Microsoft Office, have an Edit > Paste Special menu choice that permits one to select that text should be pasted either without the styles or matching the style of your document.
In Mail, the keyboard shortcut is Command-Option-Shift-V.
Consult the Help for the particular application to determine how one can paste what is commonly called "styled text" without the styles. Styled text is text in the clipboard that retains the style of the document from which it was copied.

I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI v11.0.0 on Windows 7.
When I am copying and pasting numbers and text within the same text box, I lose the original formatting. How can I paste with the formatting retained? For example, if I copy Bold1234subscript , pasting within the same text box gives me Bold1234Subscript.
However, formatting is preserved when I copy and paste the entire text box.
Thank you very much!As far as I know you can't do that. In any case, it sounds like you are trying to use Acrobat in a way that is not part of its design. Go back to your original document and edit that, then create a new PDF.
