Forms Personalization on a Custom Form

Hi All,
I have developed a custom form and I have to do form personalization to make a field editable (made it non-editable in new record instance in data block of the form)..I couldn't do it...
On same form, in same block, I can disable a button for inquiry responsibility...
What could be the issue for making the field editable..?...

Calling custom form to standard form based on passing parameters by pers..

Hi Everyone,
I have a urgent requirement related to form personalization like Calling custom form to standard form based on passing some parameters and after click on save icon then custom form should be enable and open. how to achieve this functionality through personalization.
In brief ......Responsibilty -> Enterprise Asset Management->work order form and in this form's tool menu attach a custom form which comes other responsibility(here no issue) issue is that which trigger and condition used and what should be Action attribute/option. How to disable or enable tool form on some specific navigating the form.
and how pass the parameter through current using form fields.
plz help me out........it's urgent.

Forms Personalization is a feature of the Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) not a feature of Oracle Forms. Please post your question in the General EBS Discussion forum. If you have a general Forms question, by all means, ask it here! ;-)

Form Personalization - calling stored procedure attached in the form/library

Let said we have a form: OEXOEORD.fmb (Sales order form)
Using Form Builder to open it, we see that it links to other PL/SQl Libraries such as OEXOELIN (file: OEXOELIN.pll)
and there are many stored procedures in OEXOELIN.
is that possible that in the form personalization of Sales order form (OEXOEORD.fmb)
we call a procedure in OEXOELIN library? eg: we call OE_LINE_SHIPPING.packing_insruction procedure in OEXOELIN library?
i have tried to use the Builtin FORMS_DLL or "Execute a Procedure", but is not working.
we are using R12.

the solution we found is:
1) use form personalization to call custom library
2) custom library call the form library

Error in Form Personalization....

I did the following: Action Type : Builtin ,Builtin Type : Execute Procedure, Argument ='declare
BEGIN
user_resp_single_signon ;
END' -- This is running fine.
When I try to pass parameter as below:
='declare
BEGIN
user_resp_single_signon_p('Test');
END'
I get error :The string '=declare End' could not be evaluated because of error ORA-000923: FROM keyword not found where expected.
Could you plz let me know what is the issue on this?

How To dynamically change values in custom form

Hi,
Requirement is to change values in custom form dynamically that are passed by Global variables through standard form .
I have used forms personalization to call custom form and passing some parameters to custom form using global variables.
Now i have to change values displayed in custom form(already opened) when user moves from one record to another record.
I cannot change the standard form.Only i have write logic in custom form that dynamically changes values as user moves from one record to another in standard form.
Global variables values will be different for each record.
Pls let me know how i can achieve this.

Forms Personalization - How to refer to the current form

Hi,
I have created a Custom Form for Element Entries, and the associated function.
I want to then personalize this specific form to hide a column. I don't want to hide the column in all the Element Entries forms, just the Custom form .
My thinking is to add a statement somehting like
:CTL_GLOBALS.DESTINATION_FORM = "MY_CUSTOM_FORM_NAME"
Is this possible?

Just do the forms personalization at your custom function level.
-Open your custom function in front end
-Help > Examine > Personalize
Go on creating your personalization record. Ensure the level set as "Function".
Will work surely. No need to write anything in the Condition tab. Just add your field hiding action in Action tab.

Form personalization - change form to show different item

Hi.
I have a form with 3 fields (displaying 3 items).
One of them is not needed and i want to change it, so that it would display another item from the same (or another?) block.
Is that possible with personalization, or a custom form must be used?

How to validate multiple lines which is exist in the form builder at the same session

Hi All,
we are working on oracle Forms personalization to trigger the message at the point of saving multiple lines rather than requiring each line to be save individually. Currently the oracle form is allowing to user to enter two distinct lines that have same resource and basis type in BOM.
Currently the Oracle form is allowing to enter the duplicate combination and not giving any error message even we enter the same combination of data.
As per the customer requirement, they don’t want to validate the data while creating the records but when they try to save the form, in that case it should validate all the records at a time then need to display the appropriate message.
Customer don’t want to customize the Oracle standard form. Here we have only option to use form personalization or through custom.pll.
Any idea on how to validate multiple lines which is exist in the form builder at the same session as before inserting the record itself need to perform the validations for all the records.

you can write a post script which will do the necessary tasks.
I mean, once you are done with inserting records into these tables, exeute another procedure which will insert these "extra" records, based on some logic.
you may not be able use DB trigger as it may generate mutating error or if you don't write it carefully, it will go into recursive loops as you are refering to same tables.

How to Disable a Standart Oracle Forms Error Message?

Hello,
On 'Work Incidents' page, we are using 'REPORT_TIME' field for the work starting time. But when we enter a time for work starting time, that is before the 'Incident Time' we get the "APP-PER-289032: The value for Report Time cannot be earlier than the value for Incident Time if Report Date is the same date as Incident Date" error message. I want to disable this error message. How can I do this?

How can we copy personalization from one to an othere resp/function

guys,
As we use people and maintain function to maintain employee information, in this function we have made personalization and working fine, but after restricting function which is appearing on others button like (absence, qualification, previous employer) etc, then we need to create task flow node and configure with new function as copy people function.however, the personalization which was attached People window one is working but new function of people window have without personalization.
So therefore i want to copy all this previous function personalization into new function,

Just to clarify what you're after, can you confirm that these assumptions are correct:
1) You're not talking about OA Framework personalization on any SSHR page
2) You are referring to the Combined Person and Assignment Form (PERWSHRG) under *HRMS Manager > People > Enter & Maintain
3) You're not talking about Forms Personalization (Help > Diagnostics > Custom Code > Personalize)
4) You are talking about custom Task Flow definitions
Do you want to copy the Task Flows and Upload? You can use a command like this to upload/download task flows. This is an example of downloading/uploading task flow nodes:
1) Submit Processes and Reports > Download HRMS Taskflows
2) Run this FNDLOAD command:
FNDLOAD apps/<apps_pw> 0 Y DOWNLOAD $PER_TOP/patch/115/import/hrwfunit.lct nav_units.ldt HR_NAVIGATION_UNITS
3) Upload:
FNDLOAD apps/<apps_pw> 0 Y UPLOAD $PER_TOP/patch/115/import/hrwfunit.lct nav_units.ldt
If you simply want your copied Function to use the same Task Flow just check it's got the same Form Parameters as the original function definition.
If this doesn't help, please clarify your requirement further.

Setting Default values for field using custom.pll

Problem is that default values are getting set but not for all rows . if there are 4 records then values are set for only first 2 rows and if there are 2 rows then defaults are set for 1st row only.
Same behaviour happens when i do it via form personalization
i couldn't understand the behaviour of WHILE-VALIDATE-RECORD event..
Please provide some suggestion on it. its really urgent.

check this trigger "OM_PRE_BOOK_EVENT" I'm not sure though
When user press the Book Order button, two predefined event will be triggered. These can be captured using Forms Personalization tool or CUSTOM.pll.
a. OM_PRE_BOOK_EVENT — Incase if we want to do some validation before booking the order.
b. OM_POST_BOOK_EVENT – For validation or to attach additional process once the order is booked

Getting a error while deleting a personalized column in customer standard page.

I have added a column through personalization in standard customer page.
The personalization was working fine in the standard pag and I can able to see the column in the account section.
But when I deleted the column which I had added through personalization, the page get error out.

Error while calling standards OAF page from Custom page

Hi,
Using personalization, from a custom page, I am trying to open a standard Iexpense page using the following inthe Destincation URI in messagestyledtext as
OA.jsp?OAFunc=OIEMAINPAGE&startFrom=ActiveSubmitted&ReportHeaderId=380705855&OIERefreshAM=Y
The original page has OA.jsp?OAFunc=OIEMAINPAGE&startFrom=ActiveSubmitted&ReportHeaderId={!ReportHeaderId}&OIERefreshAM=Y in the message styled text
But when click on this from the custom page, the page opens with tabbed regions above and then gives error as below. Please let me know how to resovle this issue.
Profiles 1) FND_VALIDATION_LEVEL and 2) FND_FUNCTION_VALIDATION_LEVEL are already set to None.
Error is:
Page Security cannot be asserted. The page has either expired or has been tampered. Please contact your System Administrator for help.

If So can you please tell me:
Have u added your called function to the current user? That means by navigating to the responsibility you can access the same page directly, with out doing any transaction? If so then create your custom function with your required URL and attach to a menu ; then check if you are able to view that page from the menu navigation?If these thing is not working then I think you need to create a custom page that will extend the std region , that time hopefully it will work.
