FORMS - WEB DEPLOYMENT - NEED HELP -

Hi
We have developed some forms using Forms 6.0 on Win NT and now
wish to deploy that on Web. We have installed Developer Server
(For Forms, Reports and Graphics) in one of our UNIX boxes.
What steps are needed to get the Forms run on our Intranet as
HTML documents?
Thanks for reply in advance

Hi Karthi,
Forms is not a HTML web deployment. The deployment is based on
generic Applets. This means that we are transferring the UI to a
browser by simply replacing Motif (in your case) with Java on the
server side. If you want to deploy a Forma application in the web
just create s static HTML file (example files can be viewed after
installing JInitiator) with a reference to your Forms Module that
you use as a starting point. Start the Forms Server on the
command shell with f60ctl start port=9000 (if yiou want to use
port 9000). Via the web you access the Forms Server by calling
the static HTML File. In this HTML there is a request for the
Forms Listener.
Hope this short answer will give you a hint.

    Hi,
    Could any one tell me what do I need to configure to web deploy my forms? Thank you.

    srilakshmi,
    Yes you need to license Oracle9iAS if you are using any part of it (either Forms or Discoverer).
    Andrew,
    I'm not aware of such a licensing option. The fact that you have a development license for Oracle Forms doesn't mean that you get a Web deployment license for free.
    In any case I would urge both of you to take advantage of the new pricing promotion that we are now offering to Oracle Forms customers looking to upgrade to the Web, see more details in the headline of the Forms Upgrade Center or at http://www.oracle.com/tools/deals
    For any pricing and licensing questions please contact your Oracle account manager and they will be happy to help you

    Hi,
    I have installed a web sever that have to use Form Server Listener to read .fmx file on the website.
    When I launch my web page, all the classes are founded and imported, IExplorer indicate applet initialized, But I have no picture from the applet... the form where the applet have to be executed is a white page and the server isn't displaying any error.
    - My web server is correctly configured (I've tried with OAS and IIS)
    - The HTML pages are correct (website is running on an other server)
    - Ifsrv60 and Ifweb60 are running
    - My environement variables seems to be correct and my registry entries too.
    - No problem with the database connection
    I also got this error on Java Console

    Hi,
    it seems that you Java VM doesn't allow a connection to a server on you network.
    You'd better try to configure your HTML file or CGI environment to use Oracle JInitiator.
    Otherwise you need to use IE 5.0 and configure it's security so that it allows you to connect to the correct host.

  • New in Oracle forms and I need help

    Good afternoon to all of you.
    I need a help for my problem. I have 7 tables and i create a form with 7 blocks in oracle 10g. The items are lists and text items. I am trying to choose a value from the list or write something into the text items and i have a message
    FRM-40200: Form is protected against update
    and FRM-40208 : Form Running in Query Only Mode. Can Not Change. Database Field.
    Please can anybody help me!!!

    When you create the block, i recomend you to use the Wizard. The Wizard creates the block automatically and it works well, you will not find these problems that you are facing.
    Maybe the reasons for problem is:
    - You set the property "UPDATE_ALLOWED "of the block/item to "NO", set to "YES";
    - You set the property "INSERT_ALLOWED "of the block/item to "NO", set to "YES";
    - You set the property "QUERY_ONLY"of the block/item to "YES", set to "NO";

  • Rookie Web Designer Needs Help!

    I am working to set up my web site, but have three questions. I need to say that I know absolutely nothing about HTML code/editing, so a lot of what I have looked at in discussions has been like a foreign language to me!! Help!!
    Questions:
    1) I am trying to claim my blogs with technorati.com, but in order to do so I need to be able to "select the edit HTML button" then post code they have set up to cut and paste. I have been unsuccessful, and am assuming that I this has to do with needing to utilize HTML in a way other than the automatic hyperlinks that are available through iWeb. How can I accomplish this task? I am trying to allow their spiders to visit the page so I can increase the likelihood that interested individuals can find my site.
    2) How can I adjust my hyperlinks to open in new windows instead of the same window?
    3) Right now my site address is http://web.mac.com/teachabroadministry/iWeb/Site/Home.html Is there anyway to make this simpler (ie. teachabroadministry.com or something like that?)
    Thanks for any help you can give me with these quesitons!!
    Tod Wood

    Yes I did. Yahoo has some pros and cons. The Control Panel in Yahoo is very simple, compared to 1&1, and a quick check of Yahoo shows some features that weren't available prior to my switching. I had great difficulty uploading to Yahoo using Fetch, and I never did sort that out; may not have been Yahoo's fault. (I'll never know!
    I can upload very quickly and easily to 1&1, they offer 25 free subdomains with each domain name, and you have a lot of free features Yahoo doesn't have. (To my knowledge). Basic CGI's ( I use the free forum for my blog), chat rooms, and Webstats, to name a few.
    For the money, I don't think you can beat them.

  • Flash web gallery NEED HELP

    I have no clue how to program these flash galleries....My
    site www.al-burke.com contains a flash web gallery that I purchased
    online and I have been able to upload it to the site but its says
    movie not loaded. I have all the neccessary files in place I
    believe (gallery.xlm, main.html, main.swf) all under a folder. Can
    anyone please help me out? Thanks

    Does it work when you test it from your local drive? If it
    does, but doesn't work when you post the files to the server, you
    may not have uploaded all of the parts correctly. If it doesn't
    work when testing from the files on your harddrive either, then
    there is a linking issue - have you moved any of the files after
    the gallery was created...? (If so, the links will be broken).
    You also reference a file named "main.html" - this isn't the
    name of the file that's posted - if you created a file named that,
    then changed the name to index.html without updating the links when
    prompted, that will also break the links...
    Hope that helps...

  • Trying to form complex query - need help

    I have a fairly complex query that I need to join the results of to show actual and goal by day. The actuals are an aggregation of records that get put in every day, while the targets are a single entry in range format indicating an active range for which the target applies. I'm working on a query that will put things together by month and I'm running into a snag. Can someone please point out where appropriate naming needs to go to get this to come together?
    This one works:
    (select DATE_INDEX, SUM(LDS) as TTLLDS, SUM(TONS) as TTLTONS from
        (select DATE_INDEX, VEH_LOC, SUM(LDS) as LDS, SUM(WT) as TONS from
           (select c.DATE_INDEX, c.VEH_LOC, COUNT(j.LOAD_JOB_ID) as LDS,
                 CASE WHEN SUM(w.SPOT_WEIGHT) = 0 THEN SUM(j.MAN_SPOT_WT)
                      ELSE SUM(w.SPOT_WEIGHT)
                  END as WT
              from TC c, TC_LOAD_JOBS j, LOAD_RATES r, SPOT_WEIGHTS w
             where c.TC_ID = j.TC_ID and j.LOAD_RATE_ID = r.LOAD_RATE_ID
               and c.DATE_INDEX = w.DATE_INDEX and j.LOAD_RATE_ID = w.LOAD_RATE_ID
               and c.VEH_LOC in (select ORG_ID from ORG_ENTITIES where MNG_ORG_ID = 200)
               and c.DATE_INDEX between to_date('08/01/2010','MM/DD/YYYY') and to_date('07/31/2011','MM/DD/YYYY')
             group by c.DATE_INDEX, c.VEH_LOC
            union
            select c.DATE_INDEX, c.VEH_LOC, COUNT(j.JOB_ID) as LDS,
                 DECODE(SUM(j.AVG_SPOT_WEIGHT),0,SUM(r.BID_TONS),SUM(j.AVG_SPOT_WEIGHT)) as WT
              from TC_3RDPARTY c, TC_3RDPARTY_JOBS j, LOAD_RATES r
             where c.TC_ID = j.TC_ID and j.LOAD_RATE_ID = r.LOAD_RATE_ID
               and c.DATE_INDEX between to_date('08/01/2010','MM/DD/YYYY') and to_date('07/31/2011','MM/DD/YYYY')
               and j.FACTORY_ID in (select ORG_ID from ORG_ENTITIES where MNG_ORG_ID = 200)
             group by c.DATE_INDEX, c.VEH_LOC)
          group by DATE_INDEX, VEH_LOC)
      group by DATE_INDEX)Now I need to add in the following query:
    select (u.MACH_TPH_D+u.MACH_TPH_N)/2 as MTPH_TGT, (u.LABOR_TPH_D+u.LABOR_TPH_N)/2 as LTPH_TGT
         from UTIL_TARGET_LOADERS u
        where u.ORG_ID in (select ORG_ID from ORG_ENTITIES where MNG_ORG_ID = 200)The join needs to be based on VEH_LOC and DAY in the form:
       ... WHERE u.ORG_ID = x.VEH_LOC
              AND x.DATE_INDEX between u.START_DATE and NVL(u.END_DATE,sysdate)I had one that worked just fine when only one entity was involved; the complication arises in that this is a division-level report so I have to individually resolve the subordinates and their goals before I can aggregate. This is one of two queries I need to tie together using a WITH clause so I can pivot the whole thing and present it in month-by-month fashion. When I try to tie it together like the query below, I get: invalid relational operator.
    select ttls.DATE_INDEX, SUM(ttls.LDS) as TTLLDS, SUM(ttls.TONS) as TTLTONS, u.TARGET_LTPH, u.TARGET_MTPH
      from UTIL_TARGET_LOADERS u,
        (select DATE_INDEX, VEH_LOC, SUM(LDS) as LDS, SUM(WT) as TONS from
           (select c.DATE_INDEX, c.VEH_LOC, COUNT(j.LOAD_JOB_ID) as LDS,
                 CASE WHEN SUM(w.SPOT_WEIGHT) = 0 THEN SUM(j.MAN_SPOT_WT)
                      ELSE SUM(w.SPOT_WEIGHT)
                  END as WT
              from TC c, TC_LOAD_JOBS j, LOAD_RATES r, SPOT_WEIGHTS w
             where c.TC_ID = j.TC_ID and j.LOAD_RATE_ID = r.LOAD_RATE_ID
               and c.DATE_INDEX = w.DATE_INDEX and j.LOAD_RATE_ID = w.LOAD_RATE_ID
               and c.VEH_LOC in (select ORG_ID from ORG_ENTITIES where MNG_ORG_ID = 200)
               and c.DATE_INDEX between to_date('08/01/2010','MM/DD/YYYY') and to_date('07/31/2011','MM/DD/YYYY')
             group by c.DATE_INDEX, c.VEH_LOC
            union
            select c.DATE_INDEX, c.VEH_LOC, COUNT(j.JOB_ID) as LDS,
                 DECODE(SUM(j.AVG_SPOT_WEIGHT),0,SUM(r.BID_TONS),SUM(j.AVG_SPOT_WEIGHT)) as WT
              from TC_3RDPARTY c, TC_3RDPARTY_JOBS j, LOAD_RATES r
             where c.TC_ID = j.TC_ID and j.LOAD_RATE_ID = r.LOAD_RATE_ID
               and c.DATE_INDEX between to_date('08/01/2010','MM/DD/YYYY') and to_date('07/31/2011','MM/DD/YYYY')
               and j.FACTORY_ID in (select ORG_ID from ORG_ENTITIES where MNG_ORG_ID = 200)
             group by c.DATE_INDEX, c.VEH_LOC)
          group by DATE_INDEX, VEH_LOC) ttls
        where ttls.DATE_INDEX beween u.START_DATE and NVL(u.END_DATE,sysdate)
          and ttls.VEH_LOC = u.ORG_ID
      group by ttls.DATE_INDEXI know this is a nested mess, as it has to grab the production from two tables for a range of VEH_LOC values and sum and aggregate by day and VEH_LOC, then I have to try and match that to the targets based on VEH_LOC and day. My final query is to aggregate the whole mess of sums and averages by month.
    I'd appreciate it if someone can point me in the right direction.

    Figured it out.
    select ttl.DATE_INDEX, SUM(ttl.LDS) as TTLLDS, SUM(ttl.TONS) as TTLTONS,

  • Dreaded forms web deployment...

    Conf -
    Oracle 8i, diffent home.
    OAS 4.0.8, differet home.
    Dev6 different home.
    Has anyone successfully implemented the CWEB Cartridge on OAS 4.0.8. and managed to call their forms from a Netscapre browser. I have followed the documentation from the On-line manual and other books but no joy.
    I have however noticed that, under the "Web Parameters" node in the "Configuration" section of my cartridge, there is no Listener selection box even though the doucumentation states there is.
    I have configured a listener and the status is UP.
    I am new to the forum so maybe this has been dealt with already. Can anyone shed some light.
    Thanks

    For Jinitiator, you should also modify the jinit_download.htm. Make sure that it is points to the correct jinit.exe file. Or if don't want to modify the html file, you can just ftp the jinit.exe file to the client and install it there by just executing the jinit.exe file.
    I used 90 for the webserver port number because there was another non-ORACLE process that was using 80. If you're using 80 which is the default port of the webserver(WWW HTTP listener in OAS Manager) make sure that it is up and running. Also make sure that you turn on the forms server listener process, you can do this by running this command 'ifsrv60 -listen [port_number]'. If you don't specify the a port number it will default to port 9000. So to access your web apps you will type something like this in you browser
    'http://www.abc.com:80/web_html/static_jinit.html'.
    Also try adding a userid=user/password@datasource in your static_jinit.html.
    Example:
    serverArgs="module=d:\gcrs_dev\formsdev\gcrsmain.fmx userid=scott/tiger@orcl"
    Good luck.

    Thanks for the reply. I have carried out the static immplementation but after the clicking the download button for the JInitiator, the environment window appears with a button requesting to "Click after download". On clicking this button nothing happens.
    Secondly, I am able to add & configure a new listener but unable to call it. Are you using a port other than 80? If you are then you might have problems. The other strange thing is I cannnot access my page configured for port 80 from another machine.
    I haven't installed patch 6a yet, so maybe this might fix my problems. However I am using Dev6 downloaded from technet and the readme notes mention that the patch may work only on production versions, hence my reluctance.
    Below is the start page I am using. Maybe you can spot any errors.

  • LR Web Galleries, need help

    I use LR's web galleries for my clients to view their proofs on line, I am on a Mac and my clients who are on a PC see white specs in the very black areas of the photos, I tested this out and it is only when viewed on a PC that this appears, not on Mac's. Are you familiar with this problem? Is there a way to fix this?

    Can you establish a sample gallery to show the problem and post a link to it here?

  • Error: 87D02004 at SCCM OSD Media deployment, need help

    Hi,
    This is very odd error and while doing an SCCM 2012 OSD with media. As soon as the SCCM Client is installed, we have been getting error based the above code.
    I mean if we put an package to be installed after the client installation we are getting the below error
    Failed to run the action: Application Name
    The software distribution policy was not found. (Error: 87D02004; Source: CCM)
    Install Software failed, hr=0x87d02004.
    We are using SCCM 2012 Client CU3 -
    5.00.7958.1401
    It is only happening with media, PXE boot was working without any errors.
    Thanks,
    Rakesh
    Rakesh Sahoo

    My guess is that in you "Install Package" step, you are using the option "Install software packages according to dynamic variable list."
    In that case, the media creator does not know what the actual package is that should be added to the stand-alone media.
    I suggest that for every package that your dynamic variables will use, create a non-dynamic step and directly reference the packages. That way, the media creator will add them to your stand-alone media. Make sure that you skip those steps so that your dynamic
    installation is that one that runs.
    For example:
    You have variable installation for PKG-1, PKG-2, PKG-3.
    Step 1 - Set variable ABC=FALSE
    Step 2 - Variable installation (can install PKG-1, or PKG-2, or PKG-3)
    Step 3 - Install PKG-1. Set option to run only if ABC=TRUE.
    Step 4 - Install PKG-2. Set option to run only if ABC=TRUE
    Step 5 - Install PKG-3. Set option to run only if ABC=TRUE
    Note that you really don't intend to run Steps 3, 4, and 5. They are there so that the media creator will know that it needs to add those packages to the stand-alone media.

    Douglas,
    There are many different ways of presenting images and like
    most developers I prefer to build my own or occasionally use a good
    API or component that I can customize.
    You can check Project VII for a basic css/html gallery that
    is fairly cheap and easy to use without much coding knowledge
    necessary. It does not provide a caption though; you would have to
    add that.
    Another option is to use an embedded Flash component, which
    is also very easy to do. The best offerings on the market have
    great users guides and active forums where you can pose questions
    and look at FAQs.
    I recommend SlideShowPro, which has the best users manual and
    provides an infinite number of options, including captioning. You
    need Flash for this one though.
    Googling for 'image galleries' will give you lots of options,
    both html/css based and Flash based.
    Another option is to buy a good, modern JavaScript coding
    book and build your own image gallery. It is not as difficult as it
    may seem. Amazon has some great deals on these types of books. I
    recommend the Visual Quick Start Guide series, JavaScript and AJAX,
    Sixth Edition, or DOM Scripting, which is published by Friends of
    Ed. Both have html based examples of building galleries.

  • How to simply add custom property to a HTML Form Web Part?

    Hello.
    Is it possible to add a custom property (like a date-field) to a HTML Form Web Part with help of JavaScript? I do not want to use Visual Studio / Nappa etc. Is this possible in an easy way?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
    Based on your description, my understanding is that you want to count the date between today and the latest event date.
    You can create a calendar in a page firstly, then add a content editor web part rather than the html form web part, as html form web part can't place the Jquery element.
    Then you can firstly read the date field value of the calendar list using JavaScript Client Object Model and then calculate the difference between two date values using Jquery. You can add the code directly in the content editor web part.
    Here are some detailed code demos for your reference:
    Get SharePoint calendar list field value using JavaScript Client Object Model:
    <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.9.1.js"></script>
    <script>
    $(document).ready(function(){
    SP.SOD.executeFunc("sp.js", "SP.ClientContext", retrieveListItemsCal);
    function retrieveListItemsCal() {
    var clientContextCal = new SP.ClientContext.get_current();
    var oListCal = clientContextCal.get_web().get_lists().getByTitle('Calendar');
    var camlQueryCal = new SP.CamlQuery.createAllItemsQuery();
    AllItemsCal = oListCal.getItems(camlQueryCal);
    clientContextCal.load(AllItemsCal);
    clientContextCal.executeQueryAsync(Function.createDelegate(this, this.onQuerySucceededCal), Function.createDelegate(this, this.onQueryFailedCal));
    function onQuerySucceededCal(sender, args) {
    var listItemInfo = '';
    var listItemEnumeratorCal = AllItemsCal.getEnumerator();
    var htmlCal = '';
    while(listItemEnumeratorCal.moveNext()) {
    var oListItemCal = listItemEnumeratorCal.get_current();
    htmlcal= oListItemCal.get_item("Start Time").format("MMMM d, yyyy"));
    break;
    function onQueryFailedCal(sender, args) {
    alert('Request failed. ' + args.get_message() + '\n' + args.get_stackTrace());
    </script>
    Calculate the difference between two dates:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2609513/jquery-calculate-day-difference-in-2-date-textboxes
    Thanks
    Best Regards

  • Need help in getting 'RoleApprover' and 'Manager of RoleApprover'

    We are developing a Custom Role Approval Process using SOA composite.
    A manager or a delegated admin will be raising a Role Approval request for a beneficiary. We need to assign the Approval task to beneficiaries' manager or Role Approver.
    If the RoleApprover does not Approve the task in stipulated time, the task needs to get escalated to RoleApprover's manager.
    I'm new to OIM APIs, i was folllowing the tutorial "developing_oim_custom_approval_process_for_role_request.pdf". This needs an user defined field 'RoleApprover' created in the Role request form. We cannot create user defined field in the role request form.

    Choose Xerces2.4 to serialize the DOM object is an option.
    javac XercesTest.java -classpath xmlParserAPIs.jar;xercesImpl.jar;.
    java -classpath xmlParserAPIs.jar;xercesImpl.jar;. XercesTest test.xml
    below is the source file: XercesTest.java
