Forward 3 inside IP using the same port to one outside IP ASA 5505

Ok, so I have 3 cameras 172.20.101.15-17 all listen on port 7000. I want to forward them to a single outside IP, but when the user connects I need them to come in on ports 7001, 7002, 7003.
I have forwarded ports before, but never in this fashion, and I have no clue how to do so.

Hello Shaun,
Let's say you are running a version higher than 8.3 and that the public IP is 8.8.8.8
object network Outside_IP
host 8.8.8.8
exit
object network Internal_server_1
host 172.20.101.15
nat (inside,outside) static 8.8.8 service tcp 7000 7001
exit
object network Internal_Server_2
host 172.20.101.16
nat (inside,outside) static 8.8.8 service tcp   7000 7002
exit
object network Internal_Server_3
host 172.20.101.17
nat (inside,outside) static 8.8.8 service tcp  7000 7003
Of course create the ACL's as needed,

  • Can two different local ips use the same port at the same time?

Can two PS3s use the same ports at the same time. So let's say you have two PS3s and they need to open the exact same set of ports at the same time to be able to play the same game online. Is that possible on a regular consumer router such as the wrt310n? If so, then how would someone go about that. I am just asking out of curiosity.
I don't work for Cisco. I'm just here to help.

Use port range Triggering instead of Port forwarding. When you use port triggering then those ports will be opened for the entire local network.

  • RV130W: 4 devices need to use the same ports.

I just started a video game streaming business and have 4 video game consoles connected and able to play online at the same time on my recently purchased Cisco RV130W.
There's only 2 games currently that we are streaming but NAT seems to be a really big issue and is causing connection problems.
I've tried leaving this in the hands of UPnP but it seems that this is an issue that cannot be resolved so simply.
All 4 consoles are Sony PS4s and to connect and play online I need them all to have access to the following ports:
    TCP Outbound
    TCP Inbound
    UDP Outbound
    UDP Inbound
    80, 443, 1935, 3074-3077, 3478-3481,7500-17899, 10040-10060, 30000-40399

At best, I've got a NAT Type 2/Moderate... at worst, I can't even connect.
To answer any questions that may be coming up or rule out any suggestions I have already tried...
All devices on the LAN have a static DHCP address.
Only one console works perfectly with UPnP.
The DMZ can fix one console but makes the NAT or the other 3 unusable.
You can't forward the same ports to 4 different devices so I have to rule that out.
Port triggering doesn't work because [I am guessing] the TTL on the packets must be too long and is still hogging the ports while other consoles are trying to send data.
I made a separate VLAN20 for the consoles so I could unblock all outbound and inbound traffic with a firewall rule and that didn't fix it.  ...that's why I think this is a NAT/PAT issue.
I used to be able to get 2 consoles working with my Asus RT-N56U using only UPnP.
All help is appreciated.  I will provide whatever other info you need.
    Thank you in advance.

UPnP seems to be implemented very differently with the vendors
I would see if disabling the following on the firewall helps under Basic Settings
as they may also be part of the issue,
I know that Xbox Live likes to be able ping the wan IP, as for the PS I'd bet things are similiar
    DoS Protection
    Block WAN Ping Request
    IPv4 Multicast Passthrough:(IGMP Proxy)
IPv4 Multicast Immediate Leave:(IGMP Proxy Immediate Leave)
    UPnP Allow Users to Configure
UPnP Allow Users to Disable Internet Access
I know that Open Nat for Xbox is something you don't actually want,
as the ones who have open nat end up getting all the traffic, and they are the ones that get laggy
Unless the game they are playing has to be the server host there is no choice for the most part
Also, on most routers in regards to gaming, I've found that one should use UPnP or Port Triggering, but not both at the same time

  • Multiple instances of WL on the same box :several Ip addresses using the same port

    Hi all,
I want to set up several instances of WL on the same server. These
    instances will be clustered.
I am using Apache for the WebServer.
    Here the configuration I used:
I first change the weblogic.conf file in Apache to set up the bridge.I
    restart apache using apachectl.
Then, on the WebLogic site, I created a new ipadress using ifconfig
    hme0:1 ip adress ...
    I created a file hostname.hme0:1 in /etc
I added this Ip address in /etc/hosts.
I added this Ip address in the mycluster DNS.
I wanted to start both WL manually using startWebLogic.sh file to see
    the log file.
So, I first assign hostname to WL1. Then start WL.
I opened an other terminal. Assign the hostname to WL2. Then start using
    startWebLogic.sh.
The first instance started correctly. When the second started, there was
an error: when listening to the port 7001, this port was already used.
That was the same with the port 7002.
Then , my question is How is it possible to configure several instances
on the same machine using several ip addresses and one port.
    Thank you for your help.
    Erwan

Please try -Dweblogic.system.bindAddr=<a.b.c.d> in your startWebLogic.sh.

  • Send 102 bit data through the LPT port??I have to send 102 bit to my interface board using the LPT port, through one of the data line and be able to read data from the input line, I don't know how to realize such a task. Thanks

Let me describe you the program I have to write:
I have to send 102 bit serialy using one of the data line of the LPT port to a device and be able to read back data sent from a device register throug one one of the input port pin for instance pin 10 of a DB25, and synchronize the transmission by the PC clock(for write and read). If fact I am using 5 output control(D0...D4) signal from the LPT port, RST, TXD, CLK, CE,TEST, one input data RXD (pin10)
So the program should work in normal mode (write data, read data), and test mode (use the write p
rocedure). Since I am quite new in Labview I am little lost and I need some support or exemple that use a way to send more than 32 bit via one data line(in my case 102bit= 8 bit COMMAD(MSB)+88 bit SPI DATA+6 bits CRC(LSB)) and be able to read them back, place them in the register and be able either to monitor or modify them.
I know that there are plenty of exemple but if I can gain time by being helped it would be great.
    Can you please advise?

    Hi Beni,
find attached a SPI.vi - minor changed from one of
my typical SPI's (LabVIEW 7.1). With some simple changes it will fit to your application.
The only thing you need to do - prepare
    the bits for the input-array.
If you need some more comments - find one of my email
adresses in documentation of this vi.

  • How to use the same port twice in composite application

    Hi,
I have deployed a Dot Net web service which has 2 operation (say provider1 and provider2) both will accepts and return a string. This Dot Net web service has one port and 2 partner links (one for each operation). I created a client wsdl which also has 2 operations(say client1 and client2). Client wsdl contains one port and a partner link.
I also created 2 different BPEL processes for client1-provider1 and client2-provider2 operations, i want to create a composite application with both this bpel. If I deploy my composite application I can able to see only one connection from client1-provider1. How to add soap binding manully so that I can test both the processes. I am new to web service, need step by step procedure.

I just added two new methods "StartWait" and "StopWait" to the default async. template that got generated when I created a new BPEL Project "CommonAlerter"
Now I call this BPEL process from another BPEL project
The three methods I call "initiate", "StartWait" and finally "StopWait" are at different stages in my calling BPEL processes. Although "initiate" gets called first.
When I debug the calling process instance I get an error on the call to "StopWait" which gets called after "StartWait".
    Here is the error message

Here are the steps for multi operation synchronous BPEL process :
    1.     Create a new BPEL process and delete request and response activities.
    2.     Now add the porttype/operation in the BPEL process wsdl.
    3.     Start the Process with a Pick activity and click on Create Instance checkbox. Remove the onAlarm branch as we do not need this. In the onMessage branch specify the name of the operation.
    4. Now add onMessage branches to match the number of operations. The flow for each onMessage branch is different. Just make sure that you create a reply activity at the end with the correct operation chosen. So you might end up having multiple return activities.
Sometimes, a wsdl with multiple operations might not work as expected if the process version is 1.0. So try changing the process version in case you are not getting the expected results.

  • Is it possible to forward the same port for 2 different computers?

i have WoW and some other programs on 2 pcs that need to use the same port at the same time, and i was wondering if it is at all possible?

My guess is your only choice is probably with Port Triggering.  This requires the application to send outbound data through a predetermined port in order to trigger the inbound port(s) to open.

and I will also have a socket object that will connect to a client when I want to send a file to them.A new socket for each outbound connection.
Is it possible to run all these connections on a single port?Yes. A serversocket listens for connections to a specific port number, it can accept many connections.
Or will there be a conflict? No. Your outbound connections will not use the same port number locally.
You are more likely to encounter problems with clients (peers) behind NAT routers.

  • Help with 2 separate domains with the same ports in a single machine

    Hi,
Where I can get info on having 2 separate domains on the same machine that works on the same ports, and one works with http://admin-server, and the other for http://production-server.

Domain production-domain failed to startup. There is a conflict on port 80. Please check the server log for more details.

Hi, we don't have two iPhones in the family as yet but as I understand it each device can have separate settings for syncing calendars and contacts. For example my iPhone syncs these over the air with the Exchange server at work so if/when my wife gets an iPhone it would be easy to have hers sync to Outlook on our computer
To make sure apps purchased on one device don't inadvertently merge with others turn off Automatically sync new apps from the apps tab when you connect your device.
The Apple support document How to use multiple iPods with one computer suggests a number of ways for managing the media content. I use method two (Sync with selected playlists) with a slight twist. Rather than regular playlists I set the grouping field to indicate which users should receive which tracks and create smart playlists based on the content of this field.
    e.g.
"Alice's Tracks" is "Grouping contains Alice" + "Kind contains audio"
"Bob's Videos" is "Grouping contains Bob" + "Kind does not contain audio"
Tracks that both Alice & Bob want on their iPods have the grouping set to "Alice/Bob"
    etc.
I currently manage our family's five iDevices using this system, each getting a different selection to suit their tastes and the capacity of their device. An advantage of using the grouping field is that it is stored in file tags (for non-wav audio files anyway) so that it is relatively easy to recreate the playlists should the iTunes library get trashed and need rebuilding. Also useful if you move files about manually as playlist membership is preserved when you delete & re-import the tracks.
So far we have managed everything with a single Apple ID, but that will probably change as the kids leave home. Managing app updates from multiple IDs is a pain as you have to manually sign in to each account in turn, however there are other benefits to each user having their own account.

  • Installing 2x Instances of UCM on the same ports on a multihomed server

We're looking at installing 2x instances of UCM on the same multihomed server, using the same port numbers for each.
But following the initial installation, we note that the admin port binds to all of the IP's in the server.
    $ netstat -a | grep LISTEN | grep 444
    tcp 0 0 *:4440 *:* LISTEN
Is there a way to stop the Admin server from doing this, and only to bind to a single IP ?
We effectively want to get the 1st instance Admin Server to Listen on IP1:4440
And the 2nd instance Admin Server to Listen on IP2:4440
Same with port 4444 for both instances.
Incidentally, the Admin Server should not really listen on all IP's by default, as this is a potential security risk especially if one IP was for example internal traffic, and the other one was for external traffic.
So there are other reasons for not wanting to listen on all IP's within the server rather than the specific one.
Any help / guidance much appreciated.
    Regards
    Andrew

    This configuration entry is available:
    IdcServerBindAddress=IPaddress
It's generally been used in clustered installations but I see no reason why it wouldn't work with a stand alone instance as well.

  • Is it possible to use both an ILB and an ELB (listening on the same port) in the same Azure cloud service?

I'm building a test Lync deployment on Azure; yes, I know this is not supported, hence "test".
Lync Front-End servers expose two set of web services, one for internal users and one for external ones; they listen on different ports (443 and 4443) on the same servers; when external services are published, you need a reverse proxy or a port forwarding
in order to map port 443 of a public IP address to port 4443 of the Front-End server(s). When you have multiple Front-End servers in a pool, you also need to load-balance them.
So, a typical Lync deployment looks like this:
           Internal users
                     |
                   443
                      |
              Internal LB
            192.168.0.20
            443         443
              |               |
Lync FE 1     Lync FE 2
    192.168.0.21 192.168.0.22
              |               |
          4443        4443
              External LB
           Public IP Address
                     |
                  443
                     |
           External Users
This should be easily replicated in Azure, as it supports both external load balancing and internal load balancing. They are even supported together in the same cloud service, so this configuration should be easy. However, it looks like "should"
    is the keyword here.
After creating the external load balanced endpoint (which listens on external port 443 and forwards to port 4443 on the servers), I'm trying to create an internal load balancer and add internal endpoints to is; however, while the ILB can be created successfully,
adding an internal endpoint listening on port 443 and forwarding to port 443 on the servers fails miserably, with an error stating that port 443 is already in use by another endpoint:
Update-AzureVM : BadRequest : Port 443 is already in use by one of the endpoints in this deployment. Ensure that the port numbers are unique across endpoints within a deployment.
    For reference, my commands are:
Add-AzureInternalLoadBalancer -InternalLoadBalancerName "LyncILB" -ServiceName "LyncFrontEnd" -SubnetName "LabSubnet" -StaticVNetIPAddress 192.168.0.20
    (This completes successfully)
    Get-AzureVM LYNCFE1 | Add-AzureEndpoint -Name "Https-Int" -Protocol "tcp" -LocalPort 443 -PublicPort 443 -LBSetName "HttpsIntLB" -DefaultProbe -InternalLoadBalancerName "LyncILB"
    (This fails)
The existing external endpoint is configured as such:
    Get-AzureVM LYNCFE1 | get-azureendpoint
    LBSetName : HttpsExtLB
    LocalPort : 4443
    Name : HTTPS-Ext
    Port : 443
    Protocol : tcp
    Vip :
    ProbePath :
    ProbePort : 4443
    ProbeProtocol : tcp
    ProbeIntervalInSeconds : 15
    ProbeTimeoutInSeconds : 31
    EnableDirectServerReturn : False
    Acl : {}
    InternalLoadBalancerName :
    IdleTimeoutInMinutes :
    LoadBalancerDistribution :
The error doesn't even make a lot of sense; the external load balancer listens on a public IP address, while the internal load balancer listens on a private IP address in the internal network; there
shouldn't be any conflict here... however it looks like there is one instead.
Why doesn't this work? Am I doing something wrong, or is Azure networking just being silly as usual again?

    Hello Massimo Pascucci,
The issue that you are facing when creating an endpoint with internal loadbalancer is the limitation of not allowing same ports to be listening under a single cloud service. This reason for this is that there is a limitation of only one private IP (Also
known as the Internal load balanced IP) per cloud service.
There is also a limitation on the Internal load balancer more than one port to be published per load balancer:

  • How to forward the same ports for multiple IPs?

Hi all, I just bought a Linksys WRT54GS router and I would like to forward the same set of ports for two different computers on my network (192.168.1.101 and 192.168.1.3) however when I try to, I get a "Port Overlap" error. Is there another way I can do this? I am trying to set up Age of Empires II. Thanks for any help!

No.  You cannot forward the same port to two different computers  (or IP addresses).
    Here's the reason why:
You and your friend are both playing the game online.  You score 1000 points.  Your friend scores 10 points.  The signal to increase your score 1000 points arrives on port 3078.  Which computer is the router supposed to send this signal to?  Both computers?   No way!
Most online games have a way to assign different ports to different computers.  For example, you might use ports 3075 thru 3078, while your friend uses ports 3175 thru 3178.  If your game is setup this way, it should work.
Also, you will want to forward ports to a fixed LAN IP address.  In your WRT54GS, note that any fixed LAN IP address must be outside the DHCP server range, and it cannot end in 0, 1, or 255.   So the 192.168.1.101  address is probably an illegal fixed LAN IP address.
Here are all the Linksys rules for using fixed LAN IP addresses:
With Linksys routers, a fixed (static) LAN IP addresses must be assigned in the device that is using the address. So you need to enter the fixed address in the computer or printer, not in the router.
When using a Linksys router, any fixed LAN IP address must be outside the DHCP server range (typically 192.168.1.100 thru 192.168.1.149), and it cannot end in 0, 1, or 255.
Therefore any fixed LAN IP address would normally need to be in the range of
    192.168.1.2 thru 192.168.1.99 or
    192.168.1.150 thru 192.168.1.254
assuming you are still using the default DHCP server range.
Also, in the computer, when you set up a static LAN IP address, you would need to set the "Subnet mask" to 255.255.255.0 and the "Default Gateway" to 192.168.1.1 and "DNS server" to 192.168.1.1
It is also important that no two devices on your network be set to the same static LAN IP address.
Typically, when I setup gamers, I put thier fixed addresses all together at 192.168.1.21 , 192.168.1.22, etc.   But you can use any legal fixed addresses that you want.

    In the config directory:
default-web-site.xml: Change the port the HTTP listener listens on
jms.xml: Change the port the JMS service listens on
rmi.xml: Change the port the ORMI listener listens on.
Or, you can add another web-site.xml file, and deploy your applications to 1 server, and bind the web applications to the different web sites. This way you only have to deploy your applications to 1 place.
