Forward/Backward Button Scripting

I'm trying to script a forward button and a backward button.  I want it to go forward one frame when clicked, and the backward button to g backward one frame when clicked.  Nothing I type is working.  Can someone help me, please?

i'm sure what you want but try:
forward_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,forwardF);
backward_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,backwardF);
function forwardF(e:MouseEvent):void{
if(this.currentFrame<1945){  // ie, forward button stops advancing frames at frame 1945
this.nextFrame();
function backwardF(e:MouseEvent):void{
if(this.currentFrameLabel!="Map"){  // ie, previous button works for all frames except the one labeled "Map".
this.prevFrame();

    That's a comment in the file. It has no effect at all.

  • I can't get big forward/backward buttons

    I have always customized my Firefox browser (thats why I have always loved Firefox since back in version 1.x. However I noticed that Firefox is suddenly becoming less and less customizable and more and more frustrating. I have gotten it to where I want it (almost). For some reason my forward/backward buttons are stuck on small. When they are in the "Navigation Toolbar" they are nice and big, but they shrink in the "Menu Bar". They never did this in 3.6 or prior to 3.6, they always worked fine. I tried turning "Small Icons" on and off with no success.
    Here's what I mean:

    In edit mode, at concert level, select the pedal. Then in the screen control inspector, in the mappings tab, select actions>next patch.

  • HT1338 There's no place on my homepage to put a web address.  Also my forward & backward buttons are missing, how can I retreive these?  I called my on-line provider & they told me I'd have to contact Apple.

    On my hompage, there isn't any place to put a web address.  Also the forward & back buttons are missing.

    I'm running 10.8 and Safari 6.0.2 so this might not apply to you exactly but, in that setup: in View on the menu bar is a setting for Show Toolbar. If it says "Hide Toolbar" then the toolbar is showing. If it says "Show Toolbar", it is not showing (so click on that and it will make the toolbar appear).  If only certain pieces of the toolbar are missing, use View/Customize Toolbar.

  • How do I get the Home, Reload and Forward/Backward buttons grouped logically together, rather than splattered randomly across the top of the browser ?

    In Firefox 3, all the buttons are grouped together, in V4 they are now scattered across the top of the browser, aping IE7/8 - plus the "stop loading" button has gone walkabout - it would be useful to get that back, as well.

    You can open the Customize window to make it possible to change the position of those toolbar buttons.
    Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"<br />
    * Drag the Home button from its current position at the right to the previous position at the left of the location bar.
    * Drag the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position at the left side of the location bar.
    * Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
    * Set the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise to get two distinct buttons.

  • Using 'Play, Pause, Forward, Backward' buttons on keyboard with iTunes

    Hey - Second question for day (Third actually 2nd thread)
    I know with other programs you can use the pause and play etc buttons on the keyboard even when playing games and such.
    As of yet I havnt found any plugins/options within iTunes to allow me to use these buttons and it would be great if someone could point me in right direction where to find em.

    Get a Logitech keyboard. All my keyboards functions work with iTunes out of the box.

  • Play/Pause, Forward, Backward Buttons

    Hello,
    Is there any way I can stop these buttons from starting iTunes automatically when pressed accidentally? And is there anyway I can assign them to a separate application, other then iTunes?
    Thanks in advance!

    nope, it is not solved.
    Why have Apple SCREWED with the system commands and backend to make the simplest of media and entertainment functions as miserable as possible.
    If I wanted iTunes to start up... I would click on iTunes. If I want to Play or Pause a track that is already open in Spotify (just like I did in Leopard), I shouldn't be too misguided in thinking that the play/pause button should do the trick.
    What I don't expect is to get transported to my iTunes space while it loads and then sits there, getting in the way of everything. THAT IS PANTS!
    Sort it out Mr. Jobs or I won't buy an iPhone... oooooohhh!

  • Forwards and backwards buttons in Itunes 8 only skip through recent songs

    I'm having a problem with Itunes 8 on Vista.
    When I switch to traditional table view, and play a song, and click forwards/backwards button then it only goes forwards/backwards through songs in order of the most recently added to my itunes, not the order as shown on screen.
    When i try this on a playlist, the forwards/backwards buttons don't do anything at all.
    Makes it next to impossible to use to play albums, etc.
    Shuffle is turned off, it's possible this started after I installed the genius thing, but it might have been broken from the start. New PC so new install of Itunes 8, no previous version installed.
    Any clues?

    Problem solved. Deauthorized PC, removed library, reinstalled, re-added library and reauthorized PC.

  • ITunes forward/backwards are glitchy

    When I press the forward/backward buttons on my keyboard or in the iTunes window, they do not work as intended.
    Forward: Goes to the beginning of the song.
    Backward: Goes to the beginning of the song.
    Forward, forward: Goes to the beginning of the song twice.
    Backward, backward: Goes to the beginning of the song twice.
    Forward, backward: Goes to the beginning of the song, then to the next song in the playlist.
    Forward, backward, forward: Goes to the beggining of the song, then to the next song, then to the first song again.
    Forward, backward, forward, backward, forward: Goes to the beggining of the song, then to the next song, then to the first song again, then to the third song, then to the first song again.
    My guess is that somewhere in the coding, there is a trigger that determines what song is being played. When backwards is pressed it goes to the position of the correct song it is supposed to do, and then probably refreshes this trigger. However, for some reason, the trigger is broken with the forwards, and when the forwards is pressed, it plays the song it is on from the beginning again while thinking it is playing the next one. That is why when the back is pressed, it is refreshing off of the song it thinks it is playing and starts to play from the beginning of the next song... just an idea.
    I would really like to fix this as always, any help or clarification that people would like would be appriciated. Accept all that: "List what your processor is, that is a large determining factor of your problem, and without it, I am unable to answer your question. Oh, and your computer model, mac address, and year it was made."

  • Forward backward mouse buttons in konqueror?

    Is there some trick to getting the forward and backward buttons on my mouse working with konqueror/dolphin?  They work perfectly in firefox without me doing anything, but in konqueror they don't work.
    If I go to configure shortcuts it doesn't register when I click the buttons.  I've run xev and they show up as button 8 and button 9.  I've set my xorg.conf mouse section as per the wiki to get 7 button mice to work but still no dice.

    Use btnx: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Get … d_4_-_btnx
    IMHO, this is the easiest way to configure your mouse buttons' behaviour.

  • Enabling back/forward mouse buttons in Dolphin

    Hi,
    I am new to Arch and am not completely sure yet on how to go about providing a solution that I found. I've searched the Wiki and the Forums for this issue and wasn't able to find a solution through any Arch site. I was, however, able to find a solution posted on the KDE forums and would like to share it with anyone who is suffering the same issue.
    The original forum post can be found here: http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=85430. I will summarize it here though for convenience.
    First, you must install xautomation which can be downloaded at http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=7312 and xbindkeys, which can be installed using Pacman.
    Next, create a text file named .xbindkeysrc and save it to your home directory. The content of the file should be:
    # For the benefit of emacs users: -*- shell-script -*-
    # xbindkeys configuration #
    # Version: 1.8.0
    # If you edit this file, do not forget to uncomment any lines
    # that you change.
    # The pound(#) symbol may be used anywhere for comments.
    # To specify a key, you can use 'xbindkeys --key' or
    # 'xbindkeys --multikey' and put one of the two lines in this file.
    # The format of a command line is:
    # "command to start"
    # associated key
    # A list of keys is in /usr/include/X11/keysym.h and in
    # /usr/include/X11/keysymdef.h
    # The XK_ is not needed.
    # List of modifier:
    # Release, Control, Shift, Mod1 (Alt), Mod2 (NumLock),
    # Mod3 (CapsLock), Mod4, Mod5 (Scroll).
    # The release modifier is not a standard X modifier, but you can
    # use it if you want to catch release events instead of press events
    # By defaults, xbindkeys does not pay attention with the modifiers
    # NumLock, CapsLock and ScrollLock.
    # Uncomment the lines above if you want to pay attention to them.
    #keystate_numlock = enable
    #keystate_capslock = enable
    #keystate_scrolllock= enable
    # Examples of commands:
    "xbindkeys_show"
    control+shift + q
    # set directly keycode (here control + f with my keyboard)
    "xterm"
    c:41 + m:0x4
    # specify a mouse button
    "xterm"
    control + b:2
    #"xterm -geom 50x20+20+20"
    # Shift+Mod2+alt + s
    ## set directly keycode (here control+alt+mod2 + f with my keyboard)
    #"xterm"
    # alt + c:0x29 + m:4 + mod2
    ## Control+Shift+a release event starts rxvt
    #"rxvt"
    # release+control+shift + a
    ## Control + mouse button 2 release event starts rxvt
    #"rxvt"
    # Control + b:2 + Release
    # dolphin go back
    "xte 'keydown Alt_L' 'key Right' 'keyup Alt_L'"
    b:9
    # dolphin go forward
    "xte 'keydown Alt_L' 'key Left' 'keyup Alt_L'"
    b:8
    # End of xbindkeys configuration #
    You then need to create an autostart entry in /home/user_name/.kde4/Autostart named xbindkeys.desktop containing the following code:
    [Desktop Entry]
    Comment[en_US]=
    Comment=
    Encoding=UTF-8
    Exec=xbindkeys
    GenericName[en_US]=
    GenericName=
    Icon=
    MimeType=
    Name[en_US]=
    Name=
    Path=
    StartupNotify=false
    Terminal=false
    TerminalOptions=
    Type=Application
    Version=1.0
    X-DBUS-ServiceName=
    X-DBUS-StartupType=
    X-DCOP-ServiceType=
    X-KDE-SubstituteUID=false
    X-KDE-Username=
    X-KDE-autostart-after=kdesktop
    Now just reboot your computer and you should have back/forward mouse button functionality in Dolphin.

    I know this thread is really old but I got the mouse buttons working using this solution (I have a 9 button mouse):
    Firs make sure you have xmodmap installed on your system:
    # pacman -S xorg-xmodmap
    Then create the following shell script: ~/.kde4/Autostart/xmodmap.sh
    #!/bin/bash
    xbindkeys -e "pointer = 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9"
    then make the script executable
    $ chmod +x ~/.kde4/Autostart/xmodmap.sh
    Restart KDE and hopefully the forward and backward mouse buttons should be working.

    Hi cowboyincognito,
    Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
    If you don't have the option to play music by genre on your iPhone, try this step to find the Genre option:
    Browse your music library.
    You can browse your music by playlist, artist, or other category. For other browse options, tap More. Tap any song to play it.
    To rearrange the tabs in the Music app, tap More, then tap Edit and drag a button onto the one you want to replace.
    Best Regards,
    Jeremy

    The arrow to open the tab history of the Back and Forward buttons has been removed in Firefox 4 and later.
    Use one of these methods to open the tab history list:
    * Right click on the Back or Forward button
    * Hold down the left mouse button on the enabled Back or Forward button until the list opens
    You can look at this extension:
    * Backward Forward History Dropdown: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforedrop/
