Forwarding calls only when I have no signal?

Hey folks,
I just moved and have really poor reception in my house. I tried a signal booster and that didn't work. I also thought I could maybe forward calls to a skype phone, but I don't want to have to turn call forwarding on and off every time I come and go.
So does anyone have any tips? Can I have calls forwarded only when my phone has no signal or is turned off?
Thanks,
Joe

I have a new iPhone 3G and I have the exact same question and challenge, poor reception at home and at my office. I used to have a Palm 750 (Mobile 6), and it had that feature, but on my new 3G, I have to reenter the call forward number every time, unless I am missing sometime. Seems ridiculous. It should maintain a list of at least 3-5 recently call forwarded numbers, as most persons would only have a select few numbers that they would ever call forward. Also, my Palm 750 had a special icon on the face page showing that I had the call forwarding feature turned on. That was a nice reminder, if I left that building and forgot to un-forward my calls.

    Restore the device.
    If "Find My iPhone" is activated on the device, wipe the device via iCloud.com and then restore it.

  • Count only when a external TTL signal is high

    Hallo,
    I'm using LabView 6.1 on WinXP with a NI6014 DAQ Board...
    I have to count a some TTL pulses only when another TTL signal is high (start the count when the signal goes high and stop it when the signal goes low). Can I program the DAQ to do this (like a gate function) so that in the meanwhile my program can do other things, and only at the end I read the result of the count?
    Thank you,
    Pixo

    Hello Pixo,
    Thank you for your inquiry regarding counters on the PCI-6014. It sounds like you would like a gate function for the counter that you are using. There is a gate for each counter that enables the counter when the gate line is high and disables the counter when this line is low. The I/O connector pin assignment and signal descriptions can be found here . To use the counter you must first configure it and then use a Counter Start VI. Then when the gate is high the counter will increment and the value can be read at the end of the program like you had stated. I have attached a great example VI to get you started with counters. Other examples like this can be found in LabVIEW 6.1 under Find Examp
    les from the LabVIEW startup screen.
    I hope these resources help. Let me know if I can further assist you.

  • When I put my iphone5 on charge no matter where I am and even when I have full signal my phone will always drop the signal and continue to have no signal until I take it off charge. Is anyone else having this problem?

    Everytime I put my iphone5 on charge now matter where I am and even when I have signal it always drops the signal and continues to have no signal until I take it off charge. I have the up to date software on it and everything and is relatively new. Is anyone else having this problem and how do I fix it?

    This is a user to user support forum.  We are all iphone users just like you.
    You are not addressing Apple here at all.
    This is an odd way to ask your fellow iphone users for help. Berating oterh users will not help you.
    "it's too fragile"
    No it is not.  i have never damaged one, nor has anyone I know.
    " U loose data when Ur phone is locked"
    No you don't.  Why do you think this?
    "and there is no customer support!!!  "
    Wrong yet again.  Apple has an 800 number and they have many retail stores and they have support articles that you can access using the search bar. Or you can contact them throgh express lane online
    "but I will go back with Blackberry "
    Please do.
    Good ridance

    That is a new "feature" described in Connect your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch using Continuity
    You can turn it off by going to Settings > FaceTime and changing "iPhone Cellular Calls" to off

  • Charges for call even when i have world unlimited

    I have the trial of the pack world unlimited but have some charges discounting from my credit when i call a mobile phone in Argentina. Is the pack not working well? Please give me some support in the page there are no option for support, only this comunity. Pablo

    I would take out of airplane mode also and just disable Cellular Data AND Data Roaming under Settings - General - Cellular.
    This way you would still be able to receive texts, your phone # will register to the network and you will still be able to connect to wifi.    I traveled to Ireland last year and this worked fine for me.

  • When to call DSDisposeHandle when you have a DLL function acting as a repeating DS dynamic data source?

    Hi
    I have a DLL function acting as a dynamic data source within a LabVIEW application (see attachment) - I am using DSNewHandle to dynamically allocate 2D array handle storage via the LV memory manager for the arbitrary size data arrays to be passed into the application. I had assumed that these memory blocks would (magically) be disposed when appropriate by the LabVIEW built in processing blocks that sit downstream, however this is not the case and the LabVIEW system memory usage keeps increasing until LabVIEW environment is exited (not simply if just the offending application is stopped or closed).
    So my question is how and where to mop up the used up array buffers in the application processing chain and how do I know when the buffers are actually exhausted and not being reused downstream (for instance the two 2D arrays are first combined into a complex 2D array by the re+im to complex labview operator - is the data memory out of this stage totally different from the inputs or is it some modified version of the input arrays - if totally different and the input 2D arrays are not wired into any other blocks why does the operator not dispose the input data stores?)
    Perhaps Im going about this the wrong way having the DLL data source dynamically allocate the data space arrays? Any advice would be gratefully received
    Regards

    Then instead of doing:
    DLLEXPORT int32_t DataGetFloatDll(... , Array2DFloat ***p_samples_2d_i, ...)
    if ( p_samples_2d_i )
    // *p_samples_2d_i can be non NULL, because of performance optimization where LabVIEW will pass in the same handle
    // that you returned in a previous call from this function, unless some other LabVIEW diagram took ownership of the handle.
    // Your C code can't really take ownership of the handle, it owns the handle for the duration of the function call and either
    // has to pass it back or deallocate it (and if you deallocate it you better NULL out the handle before returning from the
    // function or return a different newly allocated handle. A NULL handle for an array is valid and treated as empty array.
    *p_samples_2d_i = (Array2DFloat **) DSNewHandle( ( sizeof(int32_t) * 2 ) + ( sizeof(float) * channel_count * sample_count ) );
    // Generally you should first try to insert the data into the array before adjusting the size
    // the most safe would be to adjust the size after filling in the data if the array gets bigger in respect to the passed in array
    // and do the opposite if the adjusted handle happened to get smaller. This is only really important though if your C code can
    // bail out of the code path because of error conditions between adjusting the handle size and adjusting the array sizes.
    // You should definitely avoid to return from this function with the array dimensions indicating a bigger size than what the
    // handle really is allocated for, which can happen if the array was resized to a smaller size and you then return because of errors
    // before adjusting the dimension sizes in the array.
    (**p_samples_2d_i)->Rows = channel_count;
    (**p_samples_2d_i)->Columns = sample_count;
     you should be doing:
    DLLEXPORT int32_t DataGetFloatDll(... , Array2DFloat ***p_samples_2d_i, ...)
    MgErr err = NumericArrayResize(fS /* array of singles */, 2 /* number of dims */, (UHandle*)p_samples_2d_i, channel_count * sample_count);
    if (!err)
    // Fill in the data somehow
    // Adjust the dimension sizes
    (**p_samples_2d_i)->Rows = channel_count;
    (**p_samples_2d_i)->Columns = sample_count;

  • Can't access internet via Airport even when I have full signal

    MacBook
    When I turn Airport on I get full signal from my wireless connection but when I open Safari it says it cannot connect to the internet. I have had my MacBook since December '06 and it never gave me this problem before. Only in the last month is it giving me this problem. I am using the exact same wireless connection as before......i dunno whats going on. Please help.

    I was just going to post this exact topic! My iBook connects to my home Airport Express flawlessly, and my iPhone can detect and connect to it, but then it doesn't display the WiFi logo (it still uses EDGE). Any help for the three of us?

  • Clicking on PSTN calls only when placing call on hold/taking off hold

    Hey all,
    We have an ongoing issue that we thought was isolated to a call flow going to our UCCX, but after extensive troubleshooting, have found that it is occuring when a PSTN caller is being placed on hold by or being taken off of hold (most noticeable when taking off of hold) either via an IP Phone or another system (Unity Connection when releasing to switch is transferring outside of Unity Connection, UCCX and it's hold/unhold steps). If we mirror this call flow, only calling from an IP Phone to Another and being placed on hold, or including Unity Connection or UCCX in the call flow, this doesn't occur. We've been working with TAC and our ITSP for the past couple weeks but haven't really made much traction. Wireshark traces on the CUBE, so far, only have the audible noise on the ITSP facing interface of the CUBE, which is what I would expect given that it's not heard internally.
    Call flow:
    PSTN Caller -> ITSP via SIP -> CUBE -> SIP -> CUCM -> IP Phone
    CUCM Version 8.5.1.15900-4
    CUBE Version 15.1(3)T2
    MOH and CUBE have a G711 region relationship. Most IP Phones and systems have a G729 relationship, but as a test I put a phone in my G711 test region and the issue still occurs.
    The traces show the call being setup with G729 (preference on my dial-peer), but the stream is all G711 (audio from my IP Phone and MOH). This was verified both in the trace and via the CUBE when doing a "show sip calls <my cell phone number>" that both legs were G711 and the issue was still occuring.
    We regularly restart the IPVMS service as our MOH changes from time to time, but again this is only happening on PSTN calls, so my focus at this time has been the CUBE.
    Has anyone run into this before? Perhaps it's a bug and I need to update my CUBE's firmware?

    Hi,
    Did you enable “Play music on hold”?
    If yes, you can try to disable it and then test again.
    Please also check if there are any error message on FE Server when the issue happen.
    Please also update to the latest version for Lync Server 2013 and have a test.

  • How do I verify Caller ID when I have texting bloc...

    Not new to Skype, but new to making phone calls. Purchased the US unlimited monthly plan. The Caller ID number I want displayed is on my cell phone. The problem is for security reasons, I have both texting and data blocked on this cell phone. Question is, how then do I receive a verification code to display the correct number? Thanks in advance and did several searches and could not find a solution.

    Just chatted with a Skype representative...yes there was a language/communication barrier.  According to the support rep, Skype only provides the verification number via text.  Only.  No mas.  Nada.  Disppointed at best.

  • Problem with touch screen sensitivity, makes calls randomly when I have it against my ear!

    I am at my wits end about this.as I am on the phone and have handset against my ear it randomly activates the touch screen and either dials someone else or put call on hold, so they can't hear me. By the time I figure out what has happened, whoever I was speaking to has likely hung up! I tried to adjust screen sensitivity but nothing I do seems to work. Same when I use track pad to scroll, it is way too sensitive, so often I am scrolling through my calendar and it will open a new appointment randomly. Is there a solution before I break this terrible phone with a hammer?!

    Your first problem ( I am on the phone and have handset against my ear it randomly activates the touch screen and either dials someone else or put call on hold, so they can't hear me.) can be solved by putting the top of the device near to your ear first and then the rest while on the call - their are sensors in the phone that blackout the display when in a call the top of the device is brought closer to the face

  • HT1386 Why is not possible to sync just content like musice ONLY, when I have no time to wait on whole proces of synchronization, there SHOULD be a way to sync JUST MUSIC and nothing else, I dont wanna wait 10minutes to have 3 songs I want to have in my i

    Dear Apple, why is not possible in the year 2014...sync to my iPhone just content I want to separety, without the whole sync procedur(backinup,syncing whole purchased things and stuff like that) When I want to have in my phone for example just 3 new songs ..I dont wanna wait 10minutes because of whole synchronization!!! I want add to my iPhone just these 3 songs thats it! Would be perfect, If you will make possible to sync just parts like MUSIC, Apps, Fotos, separetly and not alltime together...it s****!

    Ok.
    I have Windows OS and iTunes for PC, but the problem is not in my PC, but in synchronization. Your synchronization take minute or two, you have thunderbolt lightning cable??? If is it by you really so quick than ok but by me is it with sync really slow and I have still powerhouse notebook.
    I dont know how is it possible that your sync is so quick, but my iPhone starts transfering purchased aplications and all content to the PC, instead of downloading it PC itself without iPhone from iStore.  So there is what happend when I am conecting my iPhone.
    When it find my iPhone on the first try, it starts makeing backup, than transfering photos, aplication, some info from Safari and to the end also the MUSIC...this should be improved by Apple and it should be able to sync just MUSIC section and not whole system, when I changed just something in MUSIC section(like adding new CD..)
    So it does on PC whole resync Maybe is it somewhere in options, but where? I really want sync sometimes just MUSIC or just Apps and nothing else(like Photos, Bookmarks...)
    I am sorry for that angry tone, but I am really stresedby this 20minutes sync or 10 miutes...just becouse of adding 1-2 songs, this is by competition phones quicklier :/ !

  • Movies show up on IPAD only when I have wifi.

    I have movies I purchased through Itunes that are on my computer, do show up on my IPAD as long as I have wifi, but do not show up on IPAD with no wifi...help!

    I have figured it out.  I had to go to the Itunes store.  I went to movies tab.  At the bottom of the screen there was a tab that said "Purchased Movies".  From there I could pick "movies not on this ipad".  I clicked on each one of them and there was a cloud.  I clicked on the cloud and the movie began downloading.

  • AirTunes drops out only when I have visitors

    My AirTunes works great most of the time. But as soon as I have a few people over, it starts cutting out randomly, enough that I have to turn it off. Several of my friends have decided to use other technologies to play music without CDs as a result. Meanwhile, what can I do? Is it their cell phones? Is it just interference from human bodies?
    I have interference robustness checked.

    Thanks for your post. My network is like this:
    In my office, I have an old (2004?) Airport base station connected by ethernet to a cable modem, and by USB to a printer. Clients using this network for internet access include my pre-Intel PowerMac (in the office, running iTunes), my 2002 Flat Panel iMac running 10.3.x (in the kitchen, connected via aftermarket USB wireless dongle), and my wife's new-ish MacBook Pro (OS 10.5.7). Between the base station and the Airport Express (802.11n) is one wall, but in that wall is a fireplace with lots of brick and stone. Direct distance is about 25 feet.
    I'm running the network as b/g compatible. The base station is configured as "create wireless network" and the express is configured as "join wireless network." Using channel 11. WEP 128 bit security. Multicast rate 11 Mbps. Transmit power 100%. No cordless phones or baby monitors in the house. Am I missing any details?
