Found iLife loop in a real Song

Hi i used an ilife loop in one of my Videos and i found out now that this loop is part of a real song. Its about the stepping out medium.caf from ilife an this the song Lori Jenaire Stay Strong from the album Fruition https://itunes.apple.com/de/album/fruition/id515107661
Does the artist stole the loop from the Apple iLife suit? Can i use the loop in my videos without fearing any panalties? please help thanks.

The iLife jingles are free to use, but for re-publishing commercially:
Apple’s royalty-free jingles and sound effects included with the iLife applications: These are all free to use, as clearly stated in section 2.C of the iLife Software License Agreement:
“You may use the Apple and third party audio content (“Audio Content”) contained in or otherwise included with the Apple software, on a royalty-free basis, to create your own original soundtracks for your video and audio projects. You may broadcast and/or distribute your own soundtracks that were created using the Audio Content, however, individual samples, sound sets, or audio content may not be commercially or otherwise distributed on a standalone basis, nor may they be repackaged in whole or in part as audio samples, sound files, sound effects or music beds.”

  • APPLE LOOPS AS BASE FOR SONG - CAN I USE IT? - 3RD PARTY?

I have used an iLife Loop as the basis for the pre chorus and chorus of a song I have created. The rest is mine and I have written lyrics for the whole.
It seems to me that a third party wrote the jingle and could have a claim on this. Is this correct?
If so then how would I find out who that is and gain permission and or assign part of the copyright to them should income come from the song?
The Logic Pro and MainStage software license agreements state:
"Title and intellectual property rights in and to any content displayed by or accessed through the Apple Software to the respective content owner.
Such content may be protected by copyright or other intellectual property laws and treaties, and may be subject to terms of use of the third party providing such content.
Whilst the use of the Loop from Apple's point of view seems to be OK this clause, prior to that muddies the waters. Anybody have any insight on this please?
    Thanks
    Nic

The instructions depend on which Windows backup product you use. Apple doesn't make one.

  • How Can I Turn A Software Loop Into A Real Instrument Loop?

My primary reason for wondering about this is that one of my songs requires a windchime sound throughout...but not too much of one. Just a touch of windchimes. The Orchestra Kit has a few pretty good windchime sounds BUT the natural sustain is too long for what I want. If figure I can get my wisp of a windchime if I can convert my miniscule software loop into a real instrument loop then whittle it down to the sound I want.
How can I make this conversion?

Well, Hangtime...You were absolutely right (again!) about messing around with the notes preferred over dissecting them.
I got an absolutely gorgeous windchime sound from applying a couple of carefully auditioned filters and then messing around with the volume at the end of each note. It actually turned out better than I had imagined. It turned out so very nice that I gave it a well spaced looping rhythm and now the windchime is throughout the entire song and the song is better for it.
My dissection effort didn't get a natural sounding windchime effect at all. I trashed it almost immediately.
    hugs

  • Looping part of a song

    Hi guys,
All new to Garageband with a recent purchase of a schmick new iMac, should of moved to mac a long time ago!
I am wanting to know how I can loop part of a song?
For example, I have a song that has a cool intro and I want to extend only that particular section then continue on with the song once it kicks in.
I can see the normal way of looping by mouse over at the end of the selected track then dragging it out however this is looping the entire piece of music, I only need say the first 45 seconds looped.
I have used a great tool in another audio app where it let's you loop in real-time and then saves your changes, all by clicking on either the 2 beat, 4 beat or 8 beat loop buttons when it approaches on your timeline.
Does Garageband have a similar feature or some easy functionality to make this task less painful?
Much appreciate anyone's assistance or feedback

split the region at the point you wish to loop:
    http://www.bulletsandbones.com/GB/GBFAQ.html#split
(Let the page FULLY load. The link to your answer is at the top of your screen)
move the right hand region away and then you can loop the intro piece as you already learned.

i cannot found iLife app on my macbook pro and when i want to buying it i cannot and i have this massage (These apps cannot be accepted by your Apple ID.These apps were already assigned to another Apple ID, and they will be available in that Apple ID's purchases list. If you don't have access to that AppleID and want to receive future updates, you will needto purchase the applications ) what i want to do now ? please tell me

Either use the Apple ID you used when you originally purchased the applications or you will have to purchase them using your Apple ID. If you did not have the other Apple ID, then you have the applications illegally or they were improperly included with a computer you purchased from someone else.

  • Do you have to add effects to Logic Pro X loops when mixing a song?

    Hi everyone,
I have a question that has been puzzling me and I cannot seem to find an answer for! I have searched high and low on the internet and still cannot find the answer and so I would be grateful to everyones help with this issue.
My question is that you hear so much about the fact that when you are recording and mixing a track that different instruments for example the Bass Drum and the Bass guitar occupy similar frequencies and we are told that this is why you have to add effects to these instruments when mixing but what I want to know is are they talking about just organic instruments like real drums and a real bass guitar that you manually play and record to Logic Pro X`s audio tracks? Or should you treat the Loops exactly the same? And should you also add effects to the Logic Pro X loops when you are mixing those specific tracks?
For example if I add a Drum Loop or Bass Loop to a project and then start mixing the song should I add any effects for example EQ, Compression to these Loops? And what would be the best effects to add to the Bass and the Drums when mixing to help them stand out in the mix?
    Many thanks.

Whoever told you that overly generalized rule, please stop listening to that person .
The way you post your question (and they are good questions) points out a big problem nowadays. There is so much cookie cutter solutions out there like if you have this, then use that, if you want to get this sound, press that button. The problem with that is that you you often have no idea why you are doing that in the first place.
Let me give you a simple example about gardening (sorry about that). If I grow tomatoes and look up on the internet how often to water them, I can find an answer "water the tomatoes once a week". I might do that and result is that the tomatoes will die. What I didn't take into account is that the advice was given from someone growing tomatoes in Russia, and I live in California where I might need to water them once a day. So, the answer you are looking for is not "how often to water the tomato", instead you have to learn how much water, depending on your climate, the tomato needs"
Your music is the tomato. So the question is not what button to press (how often to water), but what button needs to be pressed, depending on your specific recordings (your climate).
If your bass drum and and bass guitar are more further apart frequency wise, then there might be no need to EQ them, it depends
Nobody should or could tell you what to do, unless he or she sits next to you at the mix and "hears' what is going on and what needs to be done.
Don't get me wrong, I don't say that there is a lot of great advice and general guidelines out there. The problem is when you apply that blindly without knowing a little bit why that advice is give and how to apply that, or if it applies to your situation at all.
In addition: The skills and knowledge about the theory is as important as the skills and experience of listening and judging your recording/mix and decide what action to take. You have to learn what to listen to and what you hear. If you don't know how distortion sounds then you miss out on fixing that issue. If you don't know how a pumping compressor sounds, then you miss out on fixing that issue.
I think you get the idea
    Hope that helps

  • There are no songs in my itunes library found when selecting autofill, and dragging songs into device does not do anything now what?

when i hit auto fill under music it just says Itunes cannot add any song to "___'s Iphone" because no songs in your itunes library could be found.
there clearly is an anbundance of music that I have been syncing all the time, I have not the slightest idea why it just stopped working, also when I try to manually click and drag songs into the device tab in itunes, NOTHING happens.
any suggestions on how to fix it

I have a very smilar problem. Recently imported my modest music collection from my old G3 CRT to a new Mac Mini by linking the two machines and then dragging the music library and songs over.
iTunes works fine in normal screen mode, music library is all there and all songs are visible and play but when trying to play back with the Apple Remote it opens up iLife ok and lists the playlists. Click on 'Songs' it says that there are no songs in the library. Click on any playlist then it goes to 'Shuffle Songs' then 'Error has occured' It can't seem to see the music library.
I put this question on iTunes and Mac Mini discussion and got:
Some other people have had similar problems, you might see if the suggestions in this thread help:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=447043
Tried but as yet no success. Tried re-naming the iTunes Music Library.xml and also deleting com.apple.frontrow.plist from Library and letting it rebuild without any luck.
Any suggestions out there as how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

  • What does this message mean: This song could not be used because the original file could not be found--When I try to play songs there is an "!" next to it.

A friend recenlty replaced my hard drive.
When I try to use itunes--I receive this message: "The song could not be used because the original could not be found, would you like to locate it? Next to my songs I see this: "!" Help--Please!!

Well what happened is the pathname to the song has changed slightly.
For instance if the song was located say c\:Windows\User\Mary\Music\iTunesFolder
    and now it's c:\Windows\User\MaryXray\Music\iTunesFolder
I'm assuming here your music was replaced in the Music folder like on the old hard drive, that iTunesFolder was simply copied over in whole.
So to fix things, you go into the iTunes Folder in your Music Folder and look for a iTunes Music Library .XML file and open it in a Text Program that has "find and replace" ability.
You find the partial pathname of the old drive and you replace ALL instances of it with the new pathname.
so \Windows\User\Mary  would be changed to
    \Windows\User\MaryXray
Save the file and reopen iTunes.

  • HELP... creating loops from full length songs

Hi there... I am an ex-ACID user and am trying to use logic express in the same fashion. I have figured out how to do basic editing functions, but I am not sure how to create a loop from a portion of a song i have edited. Ex: if I clip 1 Eight count from a song and want to make it a loop, how do I get logic to know that it is 8 beats? That way I can just drop it onto a track and it will conform to the full project's BPM rate. Any help would be sooooooo helpful!

I have not done this, but you should look up in the reference manual about creating Apple Loops - that's the format that will actually change tempo with the song's BPM, etc.
If you don't need to change tempo, then you can just drag the top right corner, and it will make loops automatically.

  • IPod defaults to Shuffle and Loop when selecting a song

Whenever I use the Search facility to find a song, when I click on the song's name the iPod application launches, as expected, and the song starts to play. However, the Shuffle and Loop indicators are selected (blue color), even though I had not selected them before in the iPod. This also happens when I select a song from the iPod's directory. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

The shuffle and loop controls can be turned off by following the instructions in the +iPad User Guide+ in section ipod under *Additional Song Controls*. Whenever these controls are enabled they remain in effect until turned off. If you did not turn them on perhaps someone else did?

  • Pin myself but found Google Map is not real time map (few years before)

I recently pin a place on my event, but I found google map is not a real time map (not a few days different but few years different) It is an old map. I discovered this from the satalile map.
Any one can help on this?
    Thanks

I think this is a problem that affects some areas of the world, especially Asia where governments are a little more sensitive. It is the same here where from my window I can see a new bridge completed some 3 years ago that is not shown at all.
As Larry suggests: Feedback; although the source is Google and not Apple.

  • There is a precount-loop-bug in my song

whenever i open this song i did with an earlier GB version
it precounts 2 bars when i playback, even when exporting it,
no matter where i start the loop,
there is an empty precount before it starts.
when i open new songs there is no precount.
i double checked if i disabled "count in" (shiftappleU)
it must have somthing to do with the defined orange loop,
because when i disable the loop feature, it doesnt precount.
any idea what i could do?

    when i open that song
it says "the plug in MDA Stereo is not available on your system"
(it was a powerPC plugin i used in 2004, where i made the first steps on this song)
is that important? it always pops up when i open a song from 2004. but mostly
playback starts exactly where it has to start

Im from Denmark, but I have found a version of a song that is only available from iTunes US. How can I buy this specific version ?

    You cannot.
You can ONLY buy from the country of your residence ( as proven by your credit card billing address), AND ONLY while physically in that country.

  • How can I make a loop similar to this song?

Add a calendar entry with an alert to your shared calendar. I'm assuming it is shared via iCloud, MS Exchange or Google, so it will update in near real time and not have to wait for a sync.

  • Got a message said "your iphone has been found ,please fill a form "-real or not?

My friend lost his iphone, his friend got a message said "your iphone has been found ,please fill a form " where you need to provide your icloud confidential .
Looks really same like the apple office site.
    <Link Edited by Host>

It is a scam. If your friend gives their Apple ID and passcode, the thieves will be able to bypass the activation lock on the phone.
