Four Point Surround FPS1600 (German)

Hallo, ich habe mein FPS 1600 seit ca. 5-6 Jahren. Leider habe ich nun Probleme mit dem 4. System. Wenn ich die Laust?rke am Lautst?rke-Regler ver?ndere und z.B. auf den 2. wei?en "Punkt" drehe und es erstmal so belasse, schraubt er auotmatisch die Lautst?rke so hoch bis es nicht mehr geht. Woran kann das liegen?Also die Soundkarte wird es nicht sein, weil die is noch TipTop Gre Daniel1988

I checked forums everywhere and there's plenty about editing 5.1 in FCPX but no one is clear on how to output this audio into quicktime!

XFI extreme music and digidal din conection to 4 point surround speak

Here is my problem i mostly use my pc for games
i connected my digidal din to my speaker system and when i go to the THX optimizer i only can get sound out of the fron left and front right speakers. I used to have a sound blaster li've value card like 8 years ago and i could get sound out of all four of my speakers. I have the old creative four point surround speakers that have a digidal din conection. How can i recieve sound from all four channels

You have a SB0467 which is a Dell oem X-Fi card. I do not believe it's "origional" or retail. I got mine on ebay brand new for $45. I knew what I was buying (my system is a Dell). Point inside a polygon defined by four points

Hello everyone.
In my java aplication, I need to know if a point is inside a polygon defined by four points. These points can have any value.
A solution is:
1)trace four lines: since the point to analyze until all the four points of the polygon.
2)Calculate the angles formed between these lines.
3)If the sum of the four angles is equal to 360�, the point is inside of the polygon.
I think this could work, but i don�t know how to make this in java. Can anyone help me? Other solutions are welcome.

Four point mask in FCPX

I can not adjust the shape points in the four point mask for JPEG pictures. It works fine for video. I downloaded an eight point mask and it works fine for stills. Does the mask that comes in FCPX not work for JPEGS or do I have a corrupted installation. Appreciate hearing if anyone can adjust the mask shape that comes in FCPX when applied to a JPEG. I am using Snow Leopard on iMac 27" I7.

I thought this was a simple question so I am surpried there were no responses. I went to the Apple Store and tried the mask on their computers with same result. It doesn't work. Also tried a PNG with same result. Guess this is a legitimate bug.

Vi for Four-Point Probe Measurement?

I am using LabVIEW 2010 in conjunction with my Keithley 2400 to take four-point probe measurements. Does anyone have a good vi for taking four-point probe measurements in LabVIEW? Any vi's for current sweeps would be greatly appreciated, as well.

Insufficient content for edit, four point editing, ignore out point on source

Hello folks,
I'm a long time FCP 7 and Avid editor currently using 8.2 for two short form museum films and have been running into all sort of questions. This one comes up multiple times a day. I tried to search for this here but didn't find my exact issue or answers.
I am trying to do a four point edit and I keep getting the "Insufficient Content for Edit" error. My source is marked in and out for 5 sec and my timeline in and out is marked for 8 sec. Four points total. I have already checked the Ignore Source Out point in the Fit Clip window and have checked the "Remember" box as well. My source definitely have enough footage to fill the marked 8 sec in the timeline. So why isn't PP ignoring the source out point when I commit the edit? Of course, I works properly if I go to the Source window and remove the out point manually but that's a pain and shouldn't be the way. Is PP not capable of this? or Am I doing something wrong? What is the point of the "Ignore Source Out Point" if it doesn't apply to this very common situation?

I think I know what the issue is.
When the Fit Clip dialog opens for me and the source is shorter than the destination, "Ignore Source In Point" and "Ignore Source Out Point" are grayed out. In other words, when the source is shorter than the destination, my only option is to ignore sequence in or out points.
If my source is longer than my destination then it allows me to check ignore source in or out. However, if I have Premiere remember this choice, when I try to insert a source clip that is shorter than the destination, I get the error that you get.
It's obviously a terrible setup and shouldn't be like this, but that's why it's happening.

To me it seems that air is definitly buggy

There's no substitution being done here. The resolvePath()
call doesn't guarantee that a file exists. If you want to check
that, use the File.exists property.

Possible to hook up four speakers to iMac

I have Creative Labs Four Point Surround FPS 1800 speakers. There are four small speakers and one subwoofer. The audio-connection cable, however, has two plugs (one black, one green) but my iMac only has one audio input jack. Therefore I only can plug in two of the four speakers, along with the subwoofer.
Is there any way I can connect al four speakers and get the surround sound?

[ Control Volume Broken on FPS 2000 ]

Hi. I bought the Cambridhe Four Point Surround 2000 Digital on year 2000. The Cable of Volume Control is broken, doesn't work good, and is too complex for be fixed by me.Where can i get a new Control Volume ? i am in Europe?Thanks.

I have come to a similar conclusion. I took the volume controller apart. Nothing in there except a potentiometer/switch and a led. I found no obvious problems like a short. Since the volume changing happens at different volume settings, I don't see how it could be the potentiometer. I took the amp apart and again found no obvious problems. I can't say for sure if heat causes the problem but it does seem like the problem does occur more frequently when the ambient temperature is higher and the system has been in use for awhile. I called Creative and they do not offer a replacement amp or subwoofer. If the problem gets too difficult to live with I will probably replace the FPS 2000's with Logitech X-530's.

Ok, I did another test.
The rear sound seems to work okay in four point surround in CMSS function on the amplifier. But then when you get into conversations, or if the person was directly infront of you. You lose sound completely, that is because the center isn't functioning.
Hmm.. I don't know what to do now. Anyone know?

Connect SB X-Fi to DTT2500 ?

I'm wondering if it's possible to connect a SB X-Fi to my current speaker system,
the Cambridge SoundWorks DTT2500 Digital.
It's now connected digital to my SB Live!, but I want to upgrade this soundcard.
So is there anyone out there who did connect these 2 ? digital or analog?
Maybe some info on the connectors of the DTT2500, it has line in, rear in, Digital DIN in, and a Dolby Digital (AC-3) SPDIF in.

Connect it via analog, it actually sounds better because the X-Fi has a superior digital-to-analog converter. The DTT2500 only supported 4 channels (front and rear left and right) via its Digital-DIN anyway, so you aren't loosing channels. For best audio, set the speaker configuration in Audio console to 4/4. speakers. Set the CMSS function on the speakers to "Four Point Surround" and set the X-Fi CMSS controls in the Audio Console to Stereo Surround at 50%. The DTT2500 is still a nice system to have around and its superior to current offerings from Creative in that it has a built in Dolby Digital decoder.

PCWorks fourPointsSorround vs. Audigy 2 ZS Notebook?

Dear Experts, I do have "PCWorks fourPointsSorround" speaker system which is kind of old speaker. And now I would like to buy USB or PCMCIA type of external creative sound card that can be used with my high-end laptop computer. I browse through the creative site and seen their product line items such as "Audigy 2 ZS Notebook" PCMCIA sound card; but I am not sure whether this type of card can still be used with my speaker stystem mentioned above. FPS1000 problem (front speakers)

Just purchased a refurbed desktop (I've been using a laptop for two years) and hooked up my Four Point Surround. I'd been having problems with one of the front speakers (I thought it was the wire so replaced it, but that didn't solve the problem), but now neither front speaker works with the new computer. When I run the test, I get a sort of "air sound" that makes me suspect that the speaker is still working, but no sound comes out. The back speakers work fine.
If I recall correctly, I already tried switching speakers, but to no avail (this would have been over a year ago, though, so I don't remember for sure). Rather than disconnect the speakers, strip the wires again, etc., I thought I'd double check to see if this problem sounds familiar.
This computer has integrated sound (for now).
Thanks for ANY help. I'd rather not spring for el cheapo speakers when I've always really enjoyed the FPS.

I am not sure how the speakers system was connected to play music as well as sound from a computer game. Was your friend running two applications at the same time (itunes and a computer game) on the computer?
Try disconnecting your speakers and connect only a pair of headphones to the lineout of your sound card/onboard sound. Play a music file, do you hear any sound from your headphones? This should allow you to find out which device is having issue, the speakers system or your sound card/onboard sound.
If it is the speakers system, it's best to get in touch with support to get it repaired/replaced.
