Fpga Sending vi to target (RIO) project!

I am using a RIO 9074 as a target on a project withing labvies 8.5. I have a vi previously written, but when I try to sent it to the target there is many errors that apear within the vi. The reason for this, is because the RIO does not support all functionallity that is used on 8.5.
Does anyone know if there are any conversion tools or files available to help debug these errors quickly?

Hi Jaykay,
I don't believe there is any quick way as such to do this. The easiest way is to identify what part of your code it is complaining about. There is a KB here that tells you what toolkits are not supported under real time although the majority are. Also any Windows specific technologies will not work e.g. ActiveX calls.
If it is not apparent to you what part of the code is not functioning then if you can post a picture of the error that you are getting then perhaps we can identify it from this.

Send to Soundtrack Pro Multitrack Project - All I get are empty tracks

I have a sequence in Final Cut Pro that has a collection of clips and sequences inside of it. When I right click the sequence in the browser and select Send To -> Soundtrack Pro Multitrack project, it opens STP as it should. When STP opens, though, I have a correct video track, but all of the audio tracks are completely empty.
Am I doing something wrong here?

Sending FC 5.1.1 project to SOundtrack Pro

Just finished rendering a FC 5.1.1 12 minute clip with stills and video. When I attempt to send it it will not send to Sound Track Audio project. This selection is grayed out. I have set up to 32 tracks in Sound Pro still no joy. Any suggestions

If you are trying to send multiple clips (it sounds like you are), then you want to select Send To Soundtrack Pro Multitrack Project.
If you are just trying to edit a single clip, then that is when you use the Send to Soundtrack Pro Audio File Project, then you might want to look at this KB article: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302805

FPGA: changing target in project

In my project (*.lvporj), I have 9146 set up with 4 modules. Is that a way to change it to a 9148 with the exact same modules. I will have to change it back to 9146 eventually. Thanks!
Kudos and Accepted as Solution are welcome!

As long as the modules are at the same slots and you don't change the aliases in the project you can do the following steps:
1. Add the 9148 (or 9146 if it is the other way round) to your project
2. Move (Drag&Drop) the VIs, FIFOs and other dependencies from the first chassis FPGA to the second FPGA.
3. Re-Compile the VIs. This is necessary since they have different types of FPGAs, Spartan6 and Spartan3.

Fpga - trying to use the RIO Replication VIs to replace Run at Reset Running FPGA

Running LabVIEW 12.1
We have an application that is using an FPGA that was compiled to Run at Reset (runs on any reset or powerup). We occassionally need to update the image on the RT and FPGA and I have downloaded the NI RIO Replication VIs.
The problem I am having now is that when I got to download the bitfile to the FPGA Flash on the sbRIO9636 I am getting the following error:
Error -61141
Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW FPGA: The operation could not be performed because the FPGA is busy. Stop all activities on the FPGA before requesting this operation. If the target is in Scan Interface programming mode, put it in FPGA Interface programming mode.
My updater is stand alone EXE. It may not be able to get a link to the FPGA because we can't be sure what Bitfile is currently on a particular system. I tried using the Open FPGA Reference and loading a BLANK bitfile onto the FPGA by setting the FPGA to RUN when it his the FPGA Open Reference VI - and this works to allow me to erase the bitfile. It does not allow me to immediately after run the Download bitfile VI from the RIO replication - even though I Close and Reset the FPGA before trying to download the Bitfile to the RIO Flash.
Will I have to first Erase the existing bitfile and then load the new one?

The workflow is pretty simple.
Connect to the sbRIO and send down a new Bitfile to the Flash and reset the unit.
This works great if the sbRIO has nothing on it. This works great if the FPGA code is encapsulated in the RT EXE and instantiated by the Open FPGA Reference.vi with RUN = TRUE.
What doesn't work is the whole reason I need to send a new bitfile to the FLASH of the RIO in the first place. FPGA RUN WHEN POWERED/RESET. The Fpga code once put on the RIO Flash drive loads every time and runs great. our RT Code Connects fine...
Occassionaly we need to replace the RT and FPGA code. Once the unit has been flashed once the with the FPGA, the NEXT time I want to Flash a NEW FPGA Bitfile onto the RIO Flash using the NI RIO Replication Toolkit VI: Download Bitfile.vi I get an error -61141 LabVIEW FPGA: -61141: The operation could not be performed because the FPGA is busy. Stop all activities on the FPGA before requesting this operation. If the target is in Scan Interface programming mode, put it in FPGA Interface programming mode.
I changed my code to shutdown the FPGA remotely by using a VI Server call into the RT.EXE....mabe I also need to close the Reference. What kills me is that once again we are given VIs for replication that do not perform what can be done by the project and the stand alone RIO Device Setup.exe.

Close FPGA VI Reference breaks when moving project...

I created a cRIO project with an FPGA target, and assigned the output of Open FPGA Reference to an indicator.
When I moved the project to a different computer, the wire to the indicator broke, so I selected "Bind to Typedef..." on the Open FPGA Reference node, replaced the indicator, reconnected all the local variables from old indicator to the new one, and deleted the old one. So far so good.
But now, when I move the project to a different computer, the wire to the Close FPGA VI Reference breaks.
If I delete and replace the broken wire whenever I open the project on the new computer, everything's fine. Am I stuck with that? It could be worse, I guess, but I'd like to fix this for real. Any suggestions?

Hi Ron,
I do not believe that there are any other workarounds for this behavior. I've been attempting to fix this myself in another way, but it seems that due to the simplistic nature of the close reference vi, it is not possible to go about this in another way when distributing applications. I will try to see if we can make a product suggestion for this in the future releases of the software.

Sending to two similar named projects to Compressor 3.5

Working on my first few projects with FCP 7 and Compressor 3.5 for export to SD DVD. Love its simplicity! Only minor issue is I have two projects with the similar names (first two words the same and last two words different in the fcp project title). When sending to compressor from fcp, I get the yellow triangular warning and when I click on it after dumping in the 2 quality settings for DVD, I get the message 'this target will overwrite existing file with the same name'. But the name of the project I am exporting to compressor is different . . ??
Any clarification on this would be most appreciated.

Sorry about the months I failed to respond. I need to sort out my email issues. Maybe I'll do that with Yosemite. My iMac has 4GB of RAM, but my problem wasn't high use, it was just freezing compressord, and rather than force quit quitting it, it would just start a new one. After I upgraded to 10.9.5, I never noticed this problem, I don't think. And I've used Compressor 3.5 just fine in Yosemite, so whatever it was, I think it was settled.

Downloading compiled FPGA bit file to target

Hello.
I'm trying to use multiple FPGA VIs in a same project, same target.
But, currently the Labview force me to re-compile when I want to run different FPGA VI in same project.
Even after compiling two FPGAs, the Labview program attempts to re-compile when I trying to run differnt FPGA VI.
So I refered http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371599G-01/lvfpgahelp/compiling_fpga_vis_howto/ to download compiled FPGA bit file to the target to transit to another FPGA VI.
However, still the Labview program trying to re-compile the FPGA VI when I click RUN on the VI after downloading compiled VI to the flash of the target.
How can I solve this problem?
P.S.:
I checked off the option of the build specification that the FPGA VI does not automatically run when it is loaded to target and the target switch is on.

Are you sharing VIs between the two top-level VIs?
If they have any conditional disable structures with different settings then the sub-VIs will be marked as changed when opening the top-level VI for your second target.
Do you need to run the code in interactive mode or can you simply compile a bitfile and use that instead. That was the compilation requirement disappears.
I agree though that LVs rush to mark VIs as changed is a problem for interactive FPGA mode.

while creating service application(LIKE SSSA Excel Performance ... ( it automatically take NTLM) I CREATED TARGET ID in secure store service application ,I chooser "GROUPS" under SSSA,and
we added members "group to account and email id.
I configure Excel service application and i SSSA Target ID in this excel service application also added trusted location for PWA site
while opening excel sheet under Project server (An error occurred while accessing application id ProjectServerApplication from Secure
Store Service. The following connections failed to refresh)

as i know, usually when the error appear, you need to check the member.
The domain group that was specified the Secure Store Service ID ProjectServerApplication did not have any members in the group.
and please also have a try in a testing secure store service application:
Created new secure store service application with new target application ID. and added this ID in excel service application -----global settings----Application ID.
went to Central admin---manage web application---selected web application ---click on Service Connection---associated newly created secure store service application.
edited data connection string of excel file.
went to site and tried refresh that excel file and able to refresh the file.

How do you send more than 1 iMovie project to the same iDVD project???

I have 3 separate movie projects in iMovie with chapter markers and am trying to send them over to ONE iDVD project. Every time I send a movie over, it creates a new iDVD project and I can't get all 3 movies in the same project.
I'm trying to put each movies as a submenu under the main menu in iDVD.
Any help would be appreciated!

OK, after a long night of trial and error, I've figured it out...
Issue 1: Files not showing up in the media pane--- miraculously after shutting down all open apps and then restarting the computer, my iMovie projects are now showing up in the movie pane of the media panel in iDVD...
Issue 2: Getting more than one movie project into iDVD with all the chapter settings--- a little more complicated!
In iMovie: SHARE > iDVD gives you a new iDVD project with 2 submenus: 1 with the entire movie, and 1 with "scene selections"
If you try to add a second iMovie project to the same iDVD project; it's not possible from within iMovie (at least not that I can figure out!).
You can add this second iMovie project to the same iDVD project by adding it to the project within iDVD from the MEDIA > MOVIES pane. This, however, will only add the movie and not give you the second submenu with scene selections.
To get the 2nd iMovie project into iDVD, I dragged the 2nd movie project from a finder window into the opened iDVD project. This adds the 2 submenus (1 with the movie and 1 with the scene selections) to the iDVD project.

Date and Time in Sender File Adapter Target Directory

is there a way of using Date and Time from XI to the Target Directory naming? To use variable substitution some fields of the message had to contain that date and time information, which is not our case.
For filename you can use "add time stamp" option, but and for target directory?

We've tried to write that shell script that you mentioned, but now we have a few doubts on how to make it create the proper directory.
In the file adapter, my target directory is "/%var1%/%var2%/", where %var1% and %var2% are variable substitutions, referencing data which comes from the payload. Now, I need the shell script to append "/<Year>/<Month>/" in the target directory. But where to archive the script? If it stays in the root directory, than how to make it create "/<Year>/<Month>/" folders inside a directory which is variable (/%var1%/%var2%/)?
Is there a way of passing %var1% and %var2% as parameters for the shell script?

How to send a iweb file or project via email?

I've done a web site using iweb. My client requested it so he can update and change it himself using iweb. How can I send it to him via email? I tried sending the "domain" file but it's not supported as an attachment. Is there a solution, or the only way is to copy it on a cd and mail it ?

I have taken three stages. First stage i have submitted fields it goes to second stage. Now on basis of condition if it fails the condition it should go to stage1.
Can it be possible. If it possible pleas guide me. I am using Project server designer 2013.

What you are looking for is a State-Machine Workflow. In SharePoint 2013 Designer, the "Stages" model will allow you to do this. See my example below. However, if you workflow logic is overly complex, Visual Studio might be a better tool to build the
workflow.
