Frames missing scroll bar in browser

I have created a webpage index.html that will be my main page
on the web with three frames on it. The top frame will hold the
name etc… and the bottom one will hold about 100 small size
jpeg pictures that will be linked to display the larger size in the
middle frame. So only the middle frame will have its content change
based on the clicks on the small jpeg in the bottom frame.
The problem is when I browse my index.html in the browser (
IE or firefox) it only shows 7 or 8 small jpegs on the bottom and I
can’t see the rest of my small jpeg in the browser since
I’m missing the scroll bar to get to the rest of the small
jpegs. In dreamweaver it works fine but not in the broser.
Appreciate all the help I can get… thanks

We would have to see the pages. Can you post a link?

  • Missing scroll bar in browser

    Hi, I got a very simple flex app which has a height that is bigger than the default height of the web browser. When it was run in a browser (had been maximized and both IE and FF had the same problem), sadly there was no scroll bar and thereby the bottom part of the flex app was covered and unviewable. Please help.

    Thanks for pointing me to the container file, when I changed the following
    <style>
    body { margin: 0px; overflow:hidden }
    </style>
    <body scroll="no">
    <iframe name="_history" src="history.htm" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" width="22" height="0"></iframe>
    generated by the flex builder to
    <style>
    body { margin: 0px; overflow:visible }
    </style>
    <body scroll="yes">
    <iframe name="_history" src="history.htm" frameborder="0" scrolling="yes" width="22" height="0"></iframe>
    The scroll bar appeared again in the browser so thanks for your help. Regards Isaac Fung

  • Missing scroll bar

    The horizontal scroll bar is missing. I am running O)SX 10.5 with Safari 10.6. Any ideas how to fix this?

    Hello chris:
    I am assuming the the +"missing scroll bar"+ is missing when you have a page that requires scrolling.
    Try running repair disk from your software install DVD.
    Trash the preference file (com.apple.safari.plist) and restart.
    Clear the safari cache.

  • Missing scroll bars on a pop up window in safari

    I'm not even sure if Im in the right section for this question but I kept getting and error message under the safari topic. I have been trying to have my fantasy football draft, but whenever I open the window to enter the live draft there are no scroll bars. I can only see half of the page and its frustrating because I cant really see what Im doing. My draft is held through yahoo sports, I thought it just might be a problem with yahoo, but any other web browser I used on a different computer works just fine. Im pretty computer illiterate also.

    HI,
    I used on a different computer works just fine
    That computer may be a different model and operating system?
    Try this. From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Empty Cache. Relaunch Safari. If the behavior persists, from the Safari Menu Bar (top of your screen) click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab.
    Click the Show Cookies button. Delete all cookies related to; fantasy football / Yahoo.
    Now click the Autofill tab in the preferences window. Click the Edit button next to: Other forms. Remove all.
    Relaunch Safari.
    If that didn't make a difference, click your Apple Menu (top left corner of your screen) then scroll down and click Software Updates. Make sure your system software is up to date.
    Also, if you have any Safari third party add-ons that control scroll bars, that could be part of the problem.

  • Slide Show on Home Page Creates Scroll bar in browser...

    I have created my site, and at the tope of it I have a hero Slider Composition with text in it. But, when I view it in the browser, it scrolls to the right. But, if I delete the composition slide show, the scroll bar disappears. I've tried to re-create the slide show, but it continues to do the same thing, I would really appreciate some help quick, in that my site is live. http://www.serpentsndoves.com

    Firstly: Congrats on a very cool web design!!
    I had a look at the site, and think that what you are seeing is expected behaviour. You have little control over the width of the browser window a viewer might have set when they are viewing your web page. It can be narrower or wider than the page width you set in Muse:
    When the browser window is narrower than the width of the web page, the scrollbar at the bottom for right to left movement appears.
    When you make the browser window wider than the width of the web page, the scrollbar will disappear as the full width of the page is displayed.
    In contrast, if you were to look at the page on an iPad in landscape, the width of the page will snap to the width of the browser window, as mobile browsers behave differently to desktop browsers.

  • Missing Scroll Bar from Applications Folder in Dock

    When I click the Applications Folder from the Dock in the Grid format, the scrollbar is missing. The only way to "scroll down," to other apps is by pressing the up/down arrow keys, in which the vertical bar briefly pops up but then disappears (no arrows pop up). I can view the Applications Folder as normal in Finder, but I prefer to just be able to click and scroll from the Dock.
    I've tried switching from Fan to List to Grid to Automatic, etc. Whenever I return to Grid, there's still no scrollbar.
    No scroll bar visible...
    Vertical scroll bar shows up when I use the Up/Down arrows on keyboard, but then disappears again; no arrows visible.

    From your system preferences under general, you can select if you want scrollbar to only show when actively scrolling, always, or based on mouse or trackpad.

  • How to identify the presence of scroll bars in browser from the plug-in

    I am developing a plug-in for the type application/x-shockwave-flash. In windowless mode, firefox window client area shared by all the plug-ins. Since plug-in runs in plugincontainer.exe, and DC is passed from firefox.exe, i couldn't the any api or the way to query the firefox for the presence of scrolling bars.
    Could you please tell me the way to identify the presence of scrolling bars in the browser from the plug-in?

    Go to DB02 --> Additional functions --> BW analysis , you will see rows (in pink) highlighted for cubes , dsos and PSA.
    For cubes click on highlighted row for cube and put filter *cube name * , it will shows all related tables with the space . Space occupied by different tables of the cube can be summed up to get total value .
    Similarly for DSO and PSAs.
    You may download this information on an excel and then put descending order on space column to get cubes occupying max space .
    Also look for table RSDODSO (directory for all DSOs) and RSDCUBE ( directory for all cubes) , i suppose you will get space information there as well.

  • CS2 pages flyout-missing scroll bar and other icons

    I'm missing the scroll bars, trash, and other icons on the pages flyout window. I have reset to default workspace, restarted the program, and the computer and "saved as" and I can't seem to get them back. I'm guessing I hit a key and messed it up. Help!
    Thanks!

  • CS3 Opens Files As Frames, Loses Scroll Bar

    Hi
    I have a Windows 7 system on a new computer bought in December. Since I re-installed my copy of Dreamweaver 3 on this new PC, I've been getting two strange errors.
    The first problem is that when I first start up Dreamweaver and open a file it opens it in a small window like this:
    I normally have my layout set to Split view. DW doesn't mind giving me the split view but for some reason it minimises the window like that. It also gives me a tiny arrow under it that converts the page into a frame if I click on it.
    Occasionally DW will go further and open the file as a frame, calling it UntitledFrameset2 or 4 or some random number. And I've also caught it inserting a frame into the html at the bottom of the page, and then this code disappears if I click around a bit.
    If the page has opened as itself e.g. index.html but it's in the small box, as above, I can get it into a normal situation by just clicking on the "Design" or "Code" buttons. That acts like a slap in the face and DW snaps out of it.
    I have messed around with various view settings, cascades etc to no avail. I have uninstalled and re-installed twice, also deleting the configuration file but it seems determined to keep doing this. Upon re-installing it, Dreamweaver remembers my Site files which suggests that there's a cache somewhere I haven't removed. Suggestions?
    It's like there's a setting somewhere telling DW to open files in Frames but I can't find it.
    My second issue is that the scroll bar on my design window loves to disappear for no reason. It might be there when I open the file but if I open another file and click back to the original one, the scroll bar disappears. I have to click the arrow on the right hand side, fill the whole window, click the arrow again and I'll get the scroll bar back, but only temporarily.
    I had DW happily installed on Windows 7 on my last computer and didn't experience either of these issues. I've done a lot of searching of the forums and on Google but haven't been able to find a solution. Would love some help as this is really annoying.
    Thanks
    Karen

    .plist files are found on Mac OSX, not Windows 7.
    Config folder locations for various operating systems are described here
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/494812
    but I doubt this issue is related to a corrupt config file.

  • Intermittent issue with missing scroll bars

    Occasionally I will open a website and the content will flow below the bottom edge but no scroll bar is available to scroll the content. Page up and down buttons as well as arrow keys will scroll the page. When this happens a page reload will not rectify the issue, nor will opening in a new tab and going to the same URL. However, a close of the browser and then going back to the target URL normally resolves the issue and the scroll bars are visible and functional.
    FF version 3.6.12 on Windows 7 Ultimate. No specific sites, but experienced this on cnn.com, time.com and morningstar.com over the last couple of days.
    These are three of my most visited sites and I had not experienced this problem prior to the last update to my current version. I also had a Java update on the same day I did the FF update, so I can not with any certainty pinpoint FF as the culprit.

  • Missing scroll bars

    From time to time the scroll bars go missing in Safari 4. To get the back I need to open a new tab.
    Never happened in version 3.

    I suspect it's a 3rd party add on creating this problem, as I've seen it a few times on my machine. Do you have any 3rd party items installed in HD>Library>InputManagers or HD>LIbrary>Applications Support>SIMBL>plugins folder?

  • Frames and scroll bar

    Hi, im making a page with frames, but when a frame content is
    too big,a scroll bar appears but JUST in that frame, is ther a way
    to make frames work like tables? i mean if a column is too big,
    then the scroll bar appears but in the whole page, not just in that
    column.
    Is this is not possible, then is there another way to open a
    new page but just in a certain place of the web without using
    frames?.
    Thanks you very much

    This is but one of the many reasons why frames are not a good
    choice for
    your layout method.

    Not if you are stuck on using frames, no.

    Other than using IFrames (which are just frames by another
    name) or AJAX
    (which is likely not the right solution either), no.

  • ESS Display/Print pop-up missing scroll bar

    We are on EP 6.0 SP 17 and trying to implement the ESS ERP2004 business package.  Under Travel and Expense -> My Trips and Expenses, when we select an existing expense report and hit the Display/Print button, the expense report launches in a new window but depending on the user's desktop screen resolution, the scroll bar may not appear even when scrolling needs to occur to see the entire expense report.  Has anyone encountered this issue and found a resolution?  We cannot control a user's screen resolution.
    Kim

    You can now find the pop-up block icon on the right side of the location bar.

  • Missing Scroll Bar with Maverick - when will it change?

    What are the plans to fix this problem?  I am about ready to get rid of my Apple MacPro because I am not finding Apple to be a "consumer friendly" company any longer.  Whoever made this decision, made a VERY bad one.  I waste so much time trying to get the scroll bar because I there is no longer  way to keep it visible.  Terrible way to lose a customer...guess my thoughts of an IPhone or IPad just went down the tubes, too!  Ha..I am trying to "scroll down" to send this...that was 2 minutes ago!

     (Apple menu) > System Preferences > General.
    The Discussion you referenced was for Safari's Preferences, not System Preferences, and the reply in that Discussion is correct.
    guess my thoughts of an IPhone or IPad just went down the tubes, too!
    Scroll bars are similar in both appearance and behavior in iOS.
