FREE check box in PO should be selected by default for specific material

Hi All,
We have a check box FREE in PO creation - ME21N in the item row which is selected when ever we want the vendor to supply those items as free.
- I have a list ot items which are supplied freely by the vendor which I have to mention in the PO. My requirment is when ever the specific material is in the PO the FREE check box should be selected by default. Is it possible?

Hi Vengal Rao,
I don't think there's such flag in the material master. As far as I know any material can be supplied either free or chargeable - the buyer has to choose the applicable option it in each specific PO.
If however in your business case certain materials shall always be supplied as free, then you can use the BAdI that I mentioned above to analyse which material is being procured and set the FREE flag in the PO accordingly.

If I understand well your question is "why free field is set automatically" !!!
The 'Free Items' indicator in the overview is only used to facilitate the switching off of the Inv.Receipt flag and the GR-based IV flag. ( Note that the 'Free Items' indicator is not stored on the PO item table EKPO).
The Inv.Receipt flag (and the GR-based IV flag) are the fields thatreally controls if an item is 'free' or not, so, you have to check if these fields are cehcked or not.

You need to give more information about your use case and the jdev version you are using.
You question is not clear to me. Do you want to set an attribute in all rows when you select a "select all" check box?
What do you mean by "Check box auto refresh on first select"?

1. Create a value attribute named <b>select</b> of type boolean.
2. Bind the <b>checked property</b> of all the checkboxes to this attribute.
3. Create an action called <b>click</b> and bind it to <b>OnAction</b> event of the button(whose click will check all the checkboxes) and write this code in that action.

Check Box in Tree (tree multiple selection)

I need to create a 2 level hierarchy tree, where the user is allowed to make multiple selection on leaf node. One way is to use TableTree (TreeByNestingTableColumn), but with this I am unable to get the same look and feel of a simple Tree view.
My questions are:
1. Is there a way to enable multiple selection on a simple Tree?
2. If the answer to question 1 is no, then is there a way to add check boxes to the Tree elements (be it parent or leaf)?
3. Is there anything that can be done to solve this issue without using TableTree?

Hi,
Please go through Multiselection in Tree control thread.
The solution outline is like this:
1. When you click on a leaf, you mark it as selected and you can also store it in the context.
2. Click as many leaves as you like and the onAction will mark each of them as selected.
3. There's no need to do a CTRL+click, only normal clicks.
4. Once done you can find out all the marked leaves.

Inspection type 04 should not generate Insp.lot for specific Process orders

I Want to skip the Inspection lots generation for specific process orders of a particular material during Goods Reciept and stock should be directly posting in to Un-restricted stock.
In the material master assigned with Inspection type 04.
Please advise me the possible options to map this scenario.

what this will do is after 5 inspections it will skip the next 5 inspection lots.
Make sure :
You can maintain setting for "maximum skip duration in plant level.
In QM view click on Skip & auto UD
Create variant in QA16 & run through QA17
Here in QA17 maintain the duration after which you want to take UD
Also make sure that in selected set maintain stock posting proposal for unrestricted.

I have an internal table that contains a list of materials. I want to loop over that list and retrieve a group of purchase reqs from EBAN for each material...appending each group of rews to my req table for each pass over the material list. Sample code;

SELECT MENGE LFDAT
    INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE GT_EBAN_FIELDS

From performance point of view, the SELECT QUERY should not be under a loop. So you can do the following :
<b>SORT GT_MATERIALS.
IF not gt_materials is initial.</b>
SELECT MENGE LFDAT
INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE GT_EBAN_FIELDS
FROM EBAN
<b>FOR ALL ENTRIES IN GT_MATERIALS</b>
WHERE MATNR EQ GT_MATERIALS-MATNR.
<b>ENDIF.</b>
Also if the structure of table GT_EBAN_FIELDS has only two fields MENGE, LFDAT then please remove INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS, instead use INTO TABLE GT_EBAN_FIELDS. This is becz INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS would affect the performance.

How is it possible outlook from filed selecting as default for each account if i have two mailbox in Outlook

I have two mailbox accounts eg: A and B, if am sending new mail from mailbox B the from field showing A mailbox email address. How do i set this as automatically as B whenever i am sending from sending mailbox B and if am sending from A mailbox should be
select as from field as A email address.

Selecting max date for specific 'operation' code

I have the following scenario: a history table that keeps track of the 'operation' and the date of the operation. For example, the operation field can have a code of U (for update), C (for closed), O (for re-opened), A (for approved), etc.
The goal of this history table is to keep track of all of the modifications made. Hence, a particular record of interest can have more than one 'U' operation documented, C operation, etc.
How can I choose the max date for each operation.
I was diong the following in my PL/SQL:

Instead of doing a single SELECT with something like "operation_code = 'U'" in the WHERE-clause, you could write a cursor with "GROUP BY operation_code".

Where should we maintain valuation type for a material? URGENT

For a particular material , how can we know whether a valuation type exists or not?

IT IS MAINTAINED in Accounting view 1 of the material.
Valvuation type is based on Valuation category.
goto SPRO
Material Management->Valuation and AccounT Assignment->Split Valuation
Check there in Standard Valuation Category.
Valuation type is stored in LIPS TABLE and also in table MBEW.

ADF Tree with Boolean Check Box: How to find selected items

ADF: 11.1.1.5.0
WLS: 10.3.6
I am using an ADF Tree which contains elements at two levels (say Departments and Employees). My requirement is to give provision for user to select Departments and Employees using the check boxes. User should be able to select what ever Departments he/she likes and what ever employees he/she likes. There should not be a provision to select Employee with out selecting the corresponding Department (root node in the tree).
I am facing the below issues while trying to implement this use case:
1. Always, only the first master record will be expanded by default (I am using "Display Row" property value as "default" and "ExpandAllEnabled" as "true"). My need is to expand all the master records by default. So that user need not explicitly expand each master record node and then select the associated child records.
2. Currently, I am using value change listener associated to af:selectBooleanCheckBox to identify the Departments and Employee records that have been selected. Since not all departments (masters) are expanded by default, if user selects the check box of department (master) and then expands the department node, automatically all the employees of that department are selected. But, this event is not triggering the value change listener for the employee records. Because of this, after a department node is selected and then expanded, all the child elements' check boxes are selected but the events are not generated. Hence, I am not able to capture the selection of employee records.
To summarize,
1. Please let me know how to expand all master nodes in af:Tree by default.
2. Please let me know the best approach to identify the selected items (both master and detail items) in the af:Tree component using af:selectBooleanCheckBox.

Is it possible to make a selection with a check box, and then have it select a predetermined selection from a drop down menu?
e.g. If I select "Los Angeles" from a series of office locations in my check boxes, can it automatically select an address from a drop down selection for that Los Angeles Office?

Notice that this line

is getting the value of the check box. The "checked" attribute is not the value, just the attribute.
Oddly enough, I just wrote some code to do this today.
First, add this little javascript method to your page.

Well there are 14 items displayed for each 14 denial reasonSo you have 14 items where each is for one denial reason, or 14 items where each has 4 denial reasons (14x14)?
They are all 'grouped' as one check_box item in the blockWhat does that mean. For the 14 items there is one checkbox? And what is the meaning if you check it?, and what if you uncheck it?
so I don't quite know how to be able to check 2 or more reason per recordAs far as i understand you, you would have to have 14 checkboxes, one for each reason, which can be individually checked/unchecked.
